New Release (Page 10)

Peace, Love, Joy, New & Old

Hey!

I’m finally back with the card I had planned to share yesterday, but time and energy just simply slipped away. And before I call it a day I thought I’d pop by quick today!

NewOldMix

I love to stretch my supplies. Even more so when much loved older clear stamp sets get a new lease of fresh inky love when combined with the NEW.

This card design of combining the mirror image doves from the previously released Peace on Earth clear stamp set with Festive Sentiments Outlined, was one that came to mind when I was putting the sentiment set together and deciding on the sentiments.

NewOldMix1

Replicating what I saw in my head onto my card came out just as I saw and I am in love with the clean and simple results.

Okay, a super CAS card for today, but hopefully an inspiring one! Thanks for stopping by & I hope to back tomorrow with more to share.

Less Is More Sponsor & Guest Designer

Happy Weekend!

I’m super excited to be here this morning, not only because Uniko is Octobers sponsor over at Less is More and that I am guest designing with them this week. BUT also because the Uniko October Release is NOW LIVE in store and available to purchase!

If you want to check out the cards I have made & shared yesterday about the October Release, pop on over HERE! I also couldn’t resist showing how one of the products being released, Festive Sentiments Outlined, can be used all year round…

BevLIMgdOct19b

This fortnight the challenge is Rainbow. Who doesn’t LOVE a rainbow?! There are so many ways to interpret this challenge onto your card (don’t forget to keep it CAS) and I opted for a rainbow colour scheme.

406 ColourRainbow

Rainbows make me happy, all those colours in one place is just a delight to see! As they make me happy I thought it appropriate to use the HAPPY sentiment from Festive Sentiments Outlined. I used my MISTI to stamp this three times on my card, coloured the inside of the word with Copics in a rainbow colour scheme and finished with the birthday sentiment from Birthday Sentiments clear stamp set.

BevLIMgdOct19c

This wasn’t enough rainbow for me! So I set to thinking how I could keep the design CAS but add more rainbow colour. Ta-dah! A rainbow base card. I used my blender brushes to create a rainbow base card using a variety of Altenew ink colours. I adhered the stamped layer to it using foam adhesive for a little dimension and I was done. A CAS card with lots of colour!

That’s all the rainbow I had time for, but the Less is More team have lots more inspiration for you. Be sure to head on over HERE to see the rainbow delight awaiting you and all the challenge details and the link up for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by & I hope you check out the New Release too 😉

Festive Friday!

Happy Friday!

Here at Uniko HQ I am finally caught up with the fun and chaos of Happy Stampers Festival! I absolutely LOVE doing the show, but it does bring a lot of extra work pre and post show. Especially when I am prepping for the release of NEW products too 😉

Those lucky enough to be able to come to Happy Stampers got the chance to buy the new products (bar one) and if you caught my Instagram stories on Saturday you will have seen a BIG peek at the products!

If you missed both, fear not, I have a whole bunch of festive cards to share with you today using the New Release, which will be available on the website tomorrow – yay! I’m working my little socks off to have it ready to go for 8 or 9pm BST.

In this release there is three new clear stamp sets, two coordinating designer die collections, a stand alone die which does coordinate with a previously released clear stamp set AND there is one new stencil design.

Oct19Release4

On this first card I have used Season Of Beauty clear stamp set combined with a sentiment from Festive Sentiments Outlined.

Oct19Release4a

Season Of Beauty is a large £16 clear stamp set which features this beautiful modern layering poinsettia styled flower, along with wintery foliage and accents, plus a trio of festive sentiments.

Even though I have ‘themed’ the stamp set to be festive, the style of this flower and the foliage can easily be used all year round in all seasons, by changing up the colours. You will see this in more of the samples I have to share tomorrow.

The next clear stamp set being released is Festive Sentiments Outlined. With the popularity of Sentiments Outlined released in July, it was a no brainer to bring out a festive version!

Oct19Release2

Unlike Sentiments Outlined, I have designed this stamp set to be a little more flexible in building your own sentiments. Plus, some can be used all year round and not just for your holiday cards. Though some, like the ‘Let it Snow’ I have used on this card come as one sentiment.

Oct19Release2a

I couldn’t resist doing this all over design again like I did HERE with Sentiments Outlined. It is fairly time consuming, especially the colouring in of the sentiments in black, but I love the look! I used some blue tones to colour the focal ‘Let it Snow’ sentiment and I also added some clear gloss Nuvo Drops to that sentiment. This time I decided to add a little embellishment of some sparkly stamped and die cut snowflakes from BIG & BOLD Snow.

The last of the clear stamps for this release is an addition to the Background Blocks series. I love this series of single stamps as they are great for creating a quick cards for all sorts of occasions.

Oct19Release6

Here I introduce you to Background Blocks Scandinavian Christmas. As you can see it is a very similar design to the previously released Stencil Scandinavian Christmas.

Oct19Release6a

This card was so quick and easily mass producible, if needed! I simply stamped the block in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed it with my favourite ‘go to’ embossing powder for festive makes, Stardust! I’ve then adhered the stamped panel to my card base using foam adhesive and added a simple sentiment from Simply Said Blocks Christmas.

Okay, that’s all the stamps for this release, but how about a look at the Designer Dies and Stencil design!

Oct19Release1

First up is Designer Dies Winter Foliage Collection to match the previously released and ever popular Winter Foliage clear stamp set. To say I am excited about these dies is an understatement! They have been a long awaited addition and I can’t wait to really sit down and play with them!

Oct19Release1a

Here I have used all but one of the coordinating dies and just look at this background. This photo really doesn’t show how sparkly this stencil design is. I’ve used the new Stencil Winter Foliage and the last of my Nuvo Moonstone embossing paste. You will recognise quite a few of the images in this stencil design, taken from a mixture of Uniko clear stamp sets, such as Background Builders Vines Winter Additions.

Next I have another set of coordinating designer dies, this time to match another of the BIG & BOLD clear stamps, BIG & BOLD Snow, which leads me onto my next card!

Oct19Release8

Here I have reached for some lovely Pool Party card stock and stamped & embossed the Large Scattered Polka Dot Background with WOW! Clear Sparkle embossing powder. I then die cut the Snow and Snow shadow and added lots of glittery loveliness to the die cut snow *huge heart eyes*.

Oct19Release8a

AND lastly, but by no means least I introduce the last of the designer dies and a beautiful stand alone one at that, Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake.

Oct19Release5

Just look at this beauty! Do you recognise the design of the snowflake? Yep, that’s right, it’s my favourite design from the previously released and much loved Stunning Snowflakes. You can see the stamped snowflakes behind this sparkly snowflake and again the sentiment from Festive Sentiments Outlined.

Oct19Release5a

So that concludes the October Release! What do you think? I’d love to know and which is your favourite, I think mine has to be the Designer Die Sparkling Snowflake, I am a sucker for snowflakes after all 😉

Okay, now I am off to finish adding all these lovely products to the website and now that I have an unexpected Bean free night AND the football is on to keep hubby occupied, they might be up early!

Thanks for stopping by!

Large Background Tropical Paradise Inspiration

Hello!

It is an overcast Thursday here in the NE of the UK 🙁 I am longing for the hot sunny days to return, so I can get out on more adventures with the boys and not get soaked through!

Anyway, I thought I would cheer Thursday up with some more Large Background Tropical Paradise inspiration. I have a couple of cards to share that both use an ink blended background. I created both backgrounds a while back when I was comparing Distress Oxide Inks with Hero Hues Reactive Inks and they are pretty much the same. I will do a comparison post soon, for now I used the backgrounds to make these cards…

LBtropicalparadise1

First up a fun technique I am loving right now, Reverse Emboss Resist. This is such an awesome technique to use with all those colourful ink blended backgrounds and large background stamps!

LBtropicalparadise1a

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Fossilised Amber, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers to create my ink blended background. Once it was fully dry, (either by heat setting or leaving for a few hours to dry naturally) I then stamped the Large Background Tropical Paradise in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with WOW! Clear Gloss EP.

LBtropicalparadise1b

Then, using Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink and ink blending tool I covered the whole panel with the black ink! This is quite scary as you feel you are going to ruin the image! It’ll turn out awesome though once you buff the image with a paper towel or semi dry stamp shammy. Then bring out the embossing shine again by heating up the embossing again gently.

Just look at those beautiful colours shine through 🙂 I finished the card off with a partially stamped and embossed ‘Celebrate’ from Sentiments Outlined.

Lastly for today I used my other ink blended panel as a backdrop for a partially stamped and fussy cut Large Background Tropical Paradise

LBtropicalparadise2

The ink blended background was created using Hero Hues Reactive inks. I used similar colours to the Distress Oxide Inks used for the first card. The colours I used are

LBtropicalparadise2a

I then stamped the Large Background Tropical Paradise onto some white card and fussy cut out across the diagonal to create a partial panel. I wanted the sentiment from Sentiments Outlined to be stamped onto the ink blended background.

I intended for this post to be finished and up yesterday, but due to a pulled right shoulder and two kiddos needing attention I didn’t get this last little bit done!

Today is my Bean free day, so I am hoping for a slower paced, restful but productive day! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely day.

July 2019 Reveal, Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hey!

What an awesome week with so much creative inspiration. I hope you have all enjoyed it as much as me and now finally the day has arrived and the July 2019 Reveal, Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY is here! The Release will be available to purchase HERE at a NEW time of 9pm GMT tonight.

Hopefully you have started over HERE on the Uniko blogspot blog for the reveal of all the July 2019 Release products and then you have hopped on over from our fabulous Guest Designer this month Keren’s blog HERE. Haven’t Keren’s creations been amazing, with so many creative ideas and techniques. I for one have been inspired.

Okay, so I’m a little late (again) with my post today. I found working in the heat *so* hard yesterday and it just drained me off everything. Anyway, I managed to finish up my cards this morning and now I have them ready to share with you. Hopefully they won’t disappoint!

I’ve been on a rainbow kick recently and I had to apply it to the Background Blocks Nautical Stripes. I also wanted to show you how the background block can be used for other occasions, not just nautical styles.

July19release1

I positioned the background block into my small MISTI, masking, inking and stamping each of the colours. It was a fairly lengthy process to apply each individual colour, but the result is so pretty. I used Altenew inks for the colours and I used the Lawn Fawn stamp shammy to clean the stamp between colours without removing it from my MISTI.

July19release1a

I added the ‘Have a Perfect Day’ sentiment from Sentiments Outlined and a tropical cluster of images from Paradise. To finish the design and add a little sparkle, I applied White Blizzard Nuvo Drops to the inside of the sentiment.

Still on my rainbow kick I used some of the same colours and my TE Blender Brushes to create an ink blended background for the Large Background Tropical Paradise…

July19release2

I absolutely love how this turned out! The colours really make the tropical background pop. I didn’t want to take too much focus from the colours and the background, so I added a simple sentiment of ‘Celebrate’ which is partially stamped from Sentiments Outlined. It really makes you feel as though you are getting value for money when you can easily change up sentiments with ease.

July19release2a

Lastly for today I have one more card that had been whirling around my head! I had intended it to be rainbow colours too, but a more muted colour scheme happened instead!

July19release3

I thought the ‘Celebrate In Style’ sentiment would be perfect to pair with Background Blocks Mid Century Modern and I was right, it looks so cool!

July19release3a

I stamped the sentiment first and then filled in the space around with the background block. With its open style, it is fairly easy to position and stamp to achieve the look of an all over pattern. I used Altenew Cloudy Night for the pattern and added Stampin’ Up! Balmy Blue for the card base & inside the sentiment. Some Altenew enamel dots were the perfect shade of blue to add to some of the dots in the design.

Okay, that’s all from me today, but as usual we have our traditional Design Team Blog Hop & Giveaway. To be in the chance of winning The ENTIRE July 2019 Release! (5 clear stamp sets, 1 previously released clear stamp sets and 5 stencil designs).

Simply comment along the blog hop, it’s as easy as that! You have until Midnight 3rd August 2019. Winner will be announced a few days after.

Happy Hopping!

Introducing… WILD and Animal Print Stencils

Hey!

Welcome to Day 4 and the last of the July 2019 Release product introductions.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from our lovely Guest Designer Keren’s blog HERE. If you missed the start of the hop and introduction to todays products, you can catch up HEREToday we are introducing a clear stamp set called Wild and 3 Animal Print Stencils, Giraffe, Tiger & Zebra.

My apologies for my tardiness, I am blaming the heatwave here in the UK for my lack of organisation and for zapping my mojo!

Anyway, enough of that, how about some more cards using some of todays products…

July19intro16

How about a little Zebra camouflage?  This stencil is so easy and fun to use and this card was super quick to make. I used Catherine Pooler Midnight ink to colour through the stencil, but be aware that you will need an ink cleaner to clean the stencil afterwards.

July19intro16a

For the sentiment I stamped the WILD and fussy cut the letters out. Once I had adhered them to the card I placed the stencil over the top and traced where the stencil would have been inked. I then used a fine liner to full the areas in. Such a fun camouflage effect.

I had so much fun with the Zebra stencil and I couldn’t wait to use it rainbow style!

July19intro14

I used Altenew inks for this and my new Tailored Expressions Blender Brushes and I achieved this soft beautiful rainbow Zebra print 🙂

July19intro14a

After I stamped the sentiment I added some clear Nuvo Drops to the WILD sentiment for a bit of shimmer and interest.

Lastly I had to create an idea that came to me when I designed the WILD clear stamp set…

July19intro15

Sometimes you just need a quick clean and simple idea to let someone know that you are thinking about them when they have lost a furry companion. The little paw print in the set paired with the With Sympathy from Simply Said is perfect.

July19intro15a

That’s all I have for today, but as usual my AWESOME Design Team and wonderful Guest Designer this month, Keren Baker have worked their magic with today’s products, so be sure to hop along & see them…

Sarah P

WOW!

That was a phenomenal inspirational hop, so many creative designs and ways to use this new clear stamp set and stencils.

I hope you enjoyed it and you will join us again tomorrow for the full reveal, Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY and all the products will be available to purchase at 9pm BST.

Re-introducing Nautical Treasures AND Introducing Background Blocks Nautical Stripes, Anchors & Fleur De Lis Stencils

Hey!

Welcome to Day 3 of the July 2019 Release product introductions.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from our lovely Guest Designer Keren’s blog HERE. If you missed the start of the hop and introduction to todays products, you can catch up HERE.

Today we are re-introducing a previously released and retired clear stamp set, Nautical Treasures. Plus, I have designed some new products to go perfectly with it! Introducing the newest Background Block, Nautical Stripes and 2 new stencil designs, Anchors and Fleur De Lis.

Today I have a couple of clean & simple nautical inspired cards to share with you. First up I have one pairing the new Background Block Nautical Stripes with the sail boat from the previously released and retired Nautical Treasures.

July19intro12

This card was really quick to make. I stamped the Background Blocks Nautical Stripes in Altenew Desert Night ink. I always use my MISTI for this, so I can repeat stamp for a perfect impression, especially with the more solid stripes in the design.

July19intro12a

The sail boat is stamped in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink, fussy cut out and I added a stencilled anchor to the sail. The sentiment is from Nautical Treasures.

Lastly for today I have this quick and easy card…

July19intro11

This time I decided to use the thick stripe from Background Builders Classics, which we introduced on Monday. Again I used Altenew Desert Night ink and my MISTI to stamp. I then stencilled one anchor to strip of white card & tied through some bakers twine. The sentiment is from Simply Said.

July19intro11a

Unfortunately that is all I have to share with you today, my mojo was exhausted with the recent heat here 🙁

However, my AWESOME Design Team and wonderful Guest Designer this month, Keren Baker have worked their magic with today’s products, so be sure to hop along & see them…

Introducing…Large Background Tropical Paradise

Hey!

Welcome to Day 2 of the July 2019 Release product introductions. This is the fun part where myself, my guest designer and the design team get to show you LOTS of inspiration, using all the new products leading up to  26th, July, Release Day!

Hopefully you have hopped on over from our lovely Guest Designer Keren’s blog HERE. If you missed the start of the hop and introduction to todays products, you can catch up HERE.

Today’s product is one new clear stamp set you might recognise. I recently designed it as part of a digital stamp collection for Simply Cards & Papercrafts Magazine HERE. As soon as I had designed it as a digital stamp I knew it HAD to be a physical stamp too! What better time than Summer (in the Northern Hemisphere) is there to be inspired and use this stamp?!

As much as this stamp looks fabulous in traditional tropical greens, it also looks awesome coloured rainbow style and paired with Bob the Toucan from Paradise clear stamp set…

July19intro7

I stamped the Large Background Tropical Paradise with Catherine Pooler Midnight ink. I then used Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends in a rainbow of colours to colour the leaves. Bob the Toucan is also stamped with Midnight ink and I simply coloured his beak and fussy cut him out.

July19intro7a

Now I couldn’t let the other strip of the Tropical Paradise that I’d coloured go to waste, so I put it to use on this next card…

July19intro8

This time I paired it with the ‘Have a Perfect Day’ sentiment from Sentiments Outlined which we introduced yesterday. I also added a couple of stamped leaves from Paradise Leaves and the solid Hibiscus flower from Paradise.

July19intro8a

I coloured the sentiment with a dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend and it is hard to see in the photo, but I added some clear Wink of Stella to the Hibiscus flower.

Lastly I wanted to heat emboss the Large Background Tropical Paradise and I have also paired it with a stamp set we will be introducing on Thursday…

July19intro9

I used WOW! Jealous Guy embossing powder for the background, it is a lovely lime green. The sentiment is from a new clear stamp set called Wild and I have stamped the main bold ‘Wild’ from the set, coloured it with a fine liner, fussy cut the letters and adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. I’ve also added Morning Dew Nuvo Drops to the ‘Wild’ sentiment.

July19intro9a

The smaller ‘About You’ is heat embossed with WOW! Opaque Bright White EP and I can’t wait to share more of this set on Thursday!

That’s all the samples I have to share with you today, but it wouldn’t be a release without a daily blog hop full of inspiration!

As usual my AWESOME Design Team and wonderful Guest Designer this month, Keren Baker have worked their magic with todays products, so be sure to hop along & see them. This is the order of the hop…

Introducing… Background Builders Classics and Sentiments Outlined

Hey!

Welcome to Day 1 of the July 2019 Release product introductions.

Today’s products are two new clear stamp set, another addition to the Background Builders collection, featuring classic designs and then a new mini clear stamp set featuring 3 fun sentiments in an outlined font.

First up I have the second card I created from the stamped colourful background using Background Builders Classics…

July19intro4

I simply adhered the strip to a white card base & then adhered a panel with another of the sentiments from Sentiments Outlined. This time I have coloured the sentiment in with a black fine liner. This gives the sentiment a whole different, bolder look. I finished the card off with some of my favourite Caribbean Ocean Nuvo Drops – yum!

July19intro4a

I was then inspired to create this card…

July19intro2

I used the ‘Celebrate in Style’ sentiment and simply repeatedly stamped it to fill a white card stock panel. I started with the sentiment that I have coloured rainbow style, and then stamping either side, above & below to create a repeated design.

July19intro2a

Again I used a black fine liner to colour the sentiments apart from the focal sentiment, in which I used Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the stamped panel to my card base using foam adhesive and filled in the gaps between the sentiments with retired Stampin’ Up! Enamel Stars.

July19intro2b

Following the colourful rainbow feel I decided to pair the ‘Have a Wonderful Birthday’ sentiment with Mid Century Modern Florals, which is from the April/May 2019 Release.

July19intro5

I started by stamping the open scalloped circle on a white card stock panel & then stamping the bursts in a rainbow of Altenew inks. I love how Gloss White Nuvo Drops change to the colour you drop them onto, like they have in the centres of the colourful bursts.

July19intro5a

Again I coloured the sentiment in a rainbow of Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends to match the rainbow of the sentiment. I have used a Lawn Fawn rectangle die to cut and layer the sentiment panel.

Lastly I was inspired by this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge seen HERE and below and this weeks Color Throwdown challenge seen HERE and below.

CTS_331

swatch552

And here is how I combined both the challenges onto my card…

July19intro3

The sketch was perfect for some ink blending using my TE Blender Brushes 😉 I used Altenew Pink Pearl ink and then Cloudy Night & Silver Lake for the thick stripe and scalloped stripe.

July19intro3a

The sentiment is stamped in Cloudy Night and then I used White Blizzard Nuvo Drops to fill in the sentiment to give a sparkly finish.

July19intro3b

That’s all the samples I have to share with you today, but it wouldn’t be a release without a daily blog hop full of inspiration!

As usual my AWESOME Design Team and wonderful Guest Designer this month, Keren Baker have worked their magic with todays products, so be sure to hop along & see them. This is the order of the hop…

Woohoo – Mid Century Modern Restocks!

Happy Hump Day!

My hump day has added cheer today, with some Mid Century Modern restocks that arrived in the studio late yesterday afternoon! So today I managed to squeeze in a little creative time and inked up two of my favourites from the April/May 2019 Release 😉

MCMrestock1

Doesn’t it feel good to finally execute an idea you’ve had stored up in your head?! I’ve had this card layout idea using Mid Century Modern Florals for ages! I’ve used a trio of Altenew pink inks for the hash circle (Baby Pink, Fuchsia and Magenta). I’ve also used a trio of Altenew grey inks for the scalloped outline to the flowers (Grey Denim, Cloudy Night and Charcoal Suit).

MCMrestock1a

I’ve used one of the sentiments from Birthday Wishes and some Liquid Mercury Nuvo Drops to embellish the design – just still in LOVE with Nuvo Drops!

Next I HAD to ink up Background Blocks Mid Century Modern

MCMrestock2

I still can’t quite believe how popular this stamp has been since I released it last month! If you were waiting for it to come back in stock before you ordered it, be quick as there are only a few left! I will be ordering more, but it’s going to be another couple of weeks before I get them.

Okay, for this card I was inspired by this weeks colours over at CAS Colours & Sketches seen HERE and below. Such yummy soft pastels and something a little more feminine for this stamp.

324

I’ve used Altenew Volcano Lake instead of Pool Party, which the background is stamped in. I then used Gery Denim for the burst stamp from Mid Century Modern Florals or Kindness Blooms! I’ve trimmed the stamped panel on an angle and adhered it to my card base using foam adhesive.

MCMrestock2a

The HAPPY is the MFT Happy Birthday die and I have die cut it from a different white card to my card base, making it stand out a little more. The Birthday sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks and stamped in Altenew Baby Pink for Powder Pink. I’ve then finished the design with some Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Drops for the challenge third colour.

That’s all I had time to make today, hoping to find LOTS of creative time tomorrow as I am Bean free! I best get to packing a couple more orders tonight so I can 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!
