Introducing… Designer Dies Originally Organic Additions Collection

Hey & My Apologies For My Lateness!

Welcome to day 6 of the May 2018 Release product introductions!

I am super excited about today as the product we are introducing is some NEW matching Designer Dies to a previously released and popular Uniko clear stamp set. I love matching dies, they provide so many more techniques and ways to stretch your stamps.

OK, so let’s see these dies and the clear stamp set they match…

So many fun possibilities with these dies and clear stamp set now 😉 And one of my favourite cards to make is shaker cards!

Hopefully you have hopped along with the design team and seen the shaker card I shared HERE yesterday. Thank you for all your lovely comments too. I would just like to give a shout out to Sarah P, as it was Sarah who suggested a separate die for the inside and outside of the heart wreath 🙂

Ok, so I have one more card which (hopefully) shows the delicacy of the heart wreath when cut with both the inside and outside dies…

IntroOOADD2

I adhered the wreath using glue, so it was flat to my black card base. I then die cut and stamped some colourful flowers adhering them with foam adhesive. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks II and the enamel dots are Stampin’ Up!

IntroOOADD2a

That’s all I have to share here, but there is plenty of inspiration from our Guest Designer & Design Team.

Happy New Year!

Happy2018

Happy 2018!

I love New Year, a blank page and a fresh start for the year ahead is so exciting.

With all the festivities of Christmas and New Year I enjoyed some much needed downtime and family time. Hence the quietness here on the blogs and website. I am feeling  refreshed, relaxed and super excited for the year ahead.

UnikoHNY2018b

As you can see I did squeeze in a little bit of creativity before the end of 2017! I decided to recreate THIS Happy Birthday card I have sitting on my desk awaiting posting this year. I thought it suited a New Years celebration card too, just by switching the ‘birthday’ sentiment for New Year.

UnikoHNY2018c

I also wanted to use a few of my favourite products from 2017 too! Which leads me on nicely to looking back at how FABulous 2017 was and thanks to you how much Uniko has grown 🙂

I thought I would share the TOP 5 products of 2017 with you and my favourite card using that product…

1. Background Blocks Halftone

1BackgroundBlocksHalftonePP

It didn’t surprise me to see this little popular stamp in the Top 5 of 2017, it was a hit from the get go when it was release back in February for Uniko’s 5th Birthday celebrations. It lends itself to so many different occasions, but is ultimately great for those hard to make masculine cards!

IntroBbHaltone1

2. Originally Organic Additions

1OriginallyOrganicAdditionsPP

This clear stamp set appearing in the Top 5 of 2017 did surprise me a little, but I was super pleased to see it make the top 5 though 😉 Another clear stamp set from the February & 5th Birthday Release and one that lends itself to a variety of occasions. From Valentines, to Weddings and Anniversaries to Friendships and Kindness.

IntroOOadditions2

It’s also an awesome addition to number 3 in the Top 5 of 2017!

3. Originally Organic

1OriginallyOrganicPP

This clear stamp set continues to fly off the Uniko shelves since it’s release back in October 2016. I absolutely LOVED designing this clear stamp set, hence the clear stamp sets that have followed in a similar style, such as Happy Succulents and the sell out Organic Wishes.

NEWoriginallyOrganicDies1

This clear stamp set also saw the addition of matching Designer Dies in May 2017, which created a whole new range of creative possibilities.

4. Happy Succulents

1HappySucculentsPP

With Originally Organic Additions and Originally Organic clear stamps making the Top 5 of 2017, it really didn’t surprise me to see Happy Succulents up there with them! Designed in a similar style and a popular trend of 2017, it’s hard not to love it!

IntroHappySucculents2

5. Most Wonderful

Lastly and by no means least and by no means forgetting ALL the other FABulous clear stamps in the Uniko line up, Most Wonderful clear stamps rounds off the Top 5 of 2017.

1MostWonderfulPP

This little Festive sentiment clear stamp set has been a popular seller since its release back in November 2016 and it’s been a hard one to keep in stock 😉

IntroChristmasPop1

This set features some wonderful festive sentiments, with ready to go sentiments and mix and match ones too. It provides a lot of options for both the outside and inside of cards, projects and more.

If you are inspired and want to snag some of these Top 5 products a few of them are on offer HERE in our Goodbye 2017 SALE!

That’s all I have to share with you today, I hope you have enjoyed taking a look back at the Top 5 Uniko products of 2017 as much as I did?!

Thanks for popping by & have a wonderful New Years Day!

The Saturday Show Returns!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

Do you remember the feature I used to do called The Saturday Show? I used to have a lot more time on my hands to peruse the internet and blogland to find and comment on all the wonderful Uniko customer projects. I also liked to choose a few and share them here on the Uniko blog.

Now that I am ‘slowly’ getting some time back and the beauty of places like Facebook and Instagram especially, I am able to find and see Uniko customer projects more easily 🙂 So I thought it would be nice to kick start this feature again once a month.

So without further ado it’s over to YOU…

First up is this beautiful Happy Succulents card by Julia, which I spotted over on Instagram. Those beautiful purple hues are so striking. Thank you so much for tagging #uniko over on IG Julia.

Next are two cards also spotted on Instagram by Julie, a wonderful customer at Uniko for many years  (thank you)…

First this pretty Originally Organic card. The designer paper Julie has paired with the swirly foliage image from the clear stamp set is just perfect. The colours are just so happy and summery too.

This next card by Julie really packs a punch with the bold colours and awesome CAS design…

Here Julie has combined the SUPER popular Background Blocks Halftone with the Explosion! clear stamp set. What a super masculine card, don’t you think?

Thank you so much Julie for sharing and tagging #uniko on Instagram.

Next I have some more floral designs to share from Elaine who has also been a loyal customer at Uniko for many years. Elaine never ceases to amaze me with how she uses Uniko’s floral stamps…

On this first card Elaine has used Background Blocks Doodle Flower and the emboss resist technique, which is the current game over at AAA Cards. Just look at those happy summery sunshine colours 🙂

On this next card Elaine has used Pure Florals: Lily paired with a sentiment from Originally Organic…

A beautiful CAS design. The layout, gold embossing and beautiful watercoloring really made this card stand out. Which lastly leads me onto to this stunner…

Just a quirky die cut technique really adds interest and pizzaz to this already beautiful coloured Lily. Be sure to pop by Elaine’s blog Craft-E-Place and checkout all the beautiful and inspiring projects.

Continuing the floral beauties is Sharon…

Sharon created this Neapolitan coloured shaker card using Background Blocks Doodle Flower, aren’t those colours just scrumptious? A huge congratulations to Sharon for her Top 5 placing for this card over at Passion for Promarkers too 🙂

Continuing the theme of flowers, Sharon also used the Pure Florals: Lily to make this shimmery beauty…

Just look at the beautiful pink Lily and overall stunning design. Lastly, I have one more card by Sharon I wanted to share…

The die cut curves of this card design really draws focus to the floral heart wreath from Originally Organic Additions. Such a beautiful CAS showcase of this clear stamp set. Thank you for sharing your Uniko creations Sharon and be sure to head on over to From My Craft Desk to be inspired even more.

There seems to be a floral theme occurring, as I share this next card…

This card is by Nonni from Nonni’s Handmade Cards and features the popular Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum. This design is beautifully stamped, masked and coloured. The added die cut technique really keeps the focus on the flower but gets the sentiment across. Thank you for sharing this beautiful showcase Nonni.

Lastly and by no means least I have a two cards to share by Izzy from Izzy scrap. Again, I couldn’t help but continue this floral theme…

So many of you are enjoying the recently release Pure Florals: Lily and the array of designs show how versatile this set is. Keeping the leaves and buds as black and white outlines really makes the embossed watercolored Lilly POP from the card. The added sentiment helps highlight the warmth from the design too. LOVE this split layout too.

Next up is this Beautiful Blooms III beauty…

Yellow and Grey is a wonderful combintion and I love how Izzy used the colours. The subtle splattering and mirrored stamping of the floral frames the ‘happy’ sentiment. Thank you for these beautiful showcase’s Izzy.

I hope you have enjoyed this months The Saturday Show and I really could have shared so many more wonderful customer designs. It was so hard choosing what to share here on the blog today. I will continue to keep a look out for your wonderful designs using Uniko products and don’t forget to #hashtag me using the following, so I can find you!

#uniko

#unikoltd

#unikostamps

Don’t do social media or blog? Why not drop me an email (bev@uniko.co.uk) with a photo of what you create using your Uniko goodies. I’d LOVE to see them and be able to share them here on the blog 🙂

THANK YOU to everyone that has purchased Uniko clear stamps and designer dies, you make me so happy and you keep this little business and dream of mine alive. I appreciate YOU more than you will ever know.

June 2017 Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

It’s time for another Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY! As June isn’t a release month, the Design Team and I are here today to revisit and give some fresh inky love to a previously released clear stamp set.

This month I decided to dust off and revisit the previously released Originally Organic clear stamp set and also take the opportunity to get a closer look at the matching dies too!

This clear stamp set was released last year HERE and was and still is hugely popular. Now with the matching dies, it has even more possibilities.

As usual I have picked a couple of my ‘old’ favourites using this set and I am sharing them over HERE at the start of the hop as I have LOTS of  fresh inspiration for you…

  OrganicRevisit2     {Click Photo For A Closer Look}

My first two cards use my favourite image from the set and were created at the same time and have an a Ying & Yang feel to them.

OrganicRevisit2a

{Click Photo For A Closer Look}

This first card was created by using the matching die to create a stencil and apply the rainbow of distress ink through it, creating a one layer card. The coordinating image and sentiment were placed and stamped using the MISTI. A few of my favourite enamel dots were added to finish the card off.

OrganicRevisit1

{Click Photo For A Closer Look}

My second card was created as a result of a boo boo on my first one layer card. I dropped one of my inked stamps onto it and so instead of wasting the image I die cut it out. This time I thought it would be fun to add the rainbow image to a black card base with a white heat embossed sentiment. As my black card off cut was slightly thinner width wise of my usual card bases, I layered it onto a white base to add simple contrast and detail down the left hand side. Again I added my favourite enamel dots were added to finish.

OrganicRevisit1a

{Click Photo For A Closer Look}

Next I wanted to use the die to match a couple of the smaller stamps in the set…

OrganicRevisit3

{Click Photo For A Closer Look}

This card has an almost Lily Pad feel to it as if you were looking at the edge of a pond with the reeds peeking from behind the die cut curve.

OrganicRevisit3a

{Click Photo For A Closer Look}

This nicely lead onto my next card, which again uses some of the smaller stamps contained in the set. This time I was inspired by and combined a couple of challenges…

OrganicRevisit4

{Click Photo For A Closer Look}

First up the layout of my card is from the current CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge HERE and seen below and my colour choice from the current Color Throwdown HERE and seen below.

CTS_225

swatch446

I kept things really simple and minimal embellishment due to using an all over pattern. The stitched frame die is from Stampin’ Up!

OrganicRevisit4a

{Click Photo For A Closer Look}

Lastly I couldn’t end the post without using the other large and main image from the set and the matching dies to go with it!

OrganicRevisit5

{Click Photo For A Closer Look}

Again I kept the design simple, letting the floral design and sentiment take the stage. What I especially like about this card is the layers of dimension. The stem and leaves die cut is adhered to the white mat layer using thin foam adhesive and then the flowers are adhered using the normal thicker foam adhesive. I then achieved more depth by stamping the floral stamens onto the white mat layer.

OrganicRevisit5a

{Click Photo For A Closer Look}

I added some subtle sparkle to the leaves with Clear Wink Of Stella, a trio of pearls and some tiny dots of Nuvo Glitter Drops to the stamens.

OrganicRevisit5c

I hope I have inspired you with my projects today, but now it’s time to hand you over to the Uniko Design Team….

Uniko Sponsors CASology!

Hey!

Wow… I made it back, second evening in a row! Plus, as you can see by the title of the post I have some happy news to share, in that Uniko is super proud to be sponsoring the challenge over at CASology HERE this week.

Week 246 - Season

The theme for this weeks challenge is Season and there lots of different ways you can interpret this cue word.

This is how I was inspired…

UnikoSponsorsCASology1

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

Another of the recent restocks in the Uniko store is Decorative Doilies The Hands Of Time, an oldie set but definitely a goodie! So I decided to literally dust my set off and give it some fresh inky love.

UnikoSponsorsCASology1a

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I had Spring in mind for my chosen season and so I chose some soft pastel colours to stamp the four smallest doilies from the set. I used Altenew Buttercream, Mountain Mist and Rose Quartz along with Lawn Fawn Manatee. I added a couple of stamped doilies in VersaFine Onyx Black to balance the sentiment from Originally Organic. The stamped trio of dots is from Balloon Bash and I added a trio of Stampin’ Up! enamel dots to add a little subtle dimension and interest.

I hope I have inspired you to join in on the fun? If you need a little more incentive the CASology Design Team have a wonderful array of seasonal inspiration over HERE too. You will also find the link up and prize info over there too 😉

I hope to see you in the gallery!

Uniko Sponsors “Less is More” and Birthday Celebrations!

Hey!

I’m super duper pleased you have popped by today as again we have LOTS more fun to share with you! Not only is it the Uniko February & 5th Birthday Release Day, but we are celebrating along with “Less is More” and their birthday celebrations!

This post is simply awesome! As myself and Uniko are proud to be sponsoring the challenge  over at “Less is More” this week. This week the challenge HERE is a sketch…

The Uniko Design Team and myself have joined in on the fun and created some cards using the sketch to inspire you to join in and this is what I created…

{CLICK Photo for a closer look}

As you can see I couldn’t resist using the NEW Explosion! Additions set, the sketch just lent itself to it perfectly. I used my MISTI tool to stamp both the halftone explosion in Lawn Fawn Sunflower and the explosion from the original Explosion! set in VersaFine Onyx Black onto white two card panels.

I then used my new Stampin’ Up! Stitched Framelits dies to die cut the circle and adhere it using foam adhesive. The WOW! is coloured with markers and fussy cut out and the small trio of horizontal lines are from the original Explosion! clear stamp set.

As it is Release Day here at Uniko, I decided to make one more card using the NEW Originally Organic Additions clear stamp set.

UnikoSponsorsLIM2

Again I have used my new stitched dies and I layered it with an old Papertrey Ink doily die. The flower is stamping in Memento and coloured with Copic Markers and I added some Bakers Twine to follow the sketch.

Ok, that’s all from me, but be sure to follow the links below to see what some of the Uniko Design Team created…

That’s all from the Uniko DT and myself for now, but be sure to head on over HERE to see what the “Less is More” Design Team have created to inspire you and to join in on the fun too. I hope to see you in the gallery!

I’ll be back AGAIN soon with the traditional February 2017 & 5th Birthday Release, Reveal, Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Introducing… Background Blocks Halftone

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the February & 5th Birthday product release are well underway. Yesterday the Design Team and I introduced Originally Organic Additions and on Monday Block Party Birthday. If you missed them you can catch up HERE and HERE.

Today we are back to introduce you to another new style clear stamp series called Background Blocks. They are what they say, simply a block of yummy pattern!

The first in this series is due to my LOVE of Pop Art and Roy Litchenstien, plus the modern pop art trend is making a come back this year! This stamp along with tomorrows clear stamp set pairs wonderfully with the previously released Explosion! clear stamp set, as you saw over on the Uniko blogspot blog.

As I promised, here are a couple of samples of how Background Blocks Halftone can be paired with florals…

IntroBbHaltone3

{CLICK Photo for a Larger View}
Firstly I decided to pair the halftone pattern with perhaps my favourite sentiment and two stamps from Originally Organic Additions!
IntroBbHaltone3a
{CLICK Photo for a Larger View}
I started by stamping the halftone pattern in Lawn Fawn ink and then used my new Stampin’ Up! largest stitched frame Framelits die to cut the square. I then stamped the sentiment and floral image in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Once it was all dry and assembled onto my card base I added some Crystal Nuvo to some of the flower and leaves. I also filled in sections of the ‘double’ leaves to cover a little area where I didn’t get a clean stamped image.
My last card uses Originally Organic paired with Originally Organic Additions with a little Halftone feature…
IntroBbHaltone2
{CLICK Photo for a Larger View}
I used my MISTI tool to stamp the finest part of the Halftone along the edge of a white CS panel in Lawn Fawn Merman ink. I then stamped the stem and leaves from Originally Organic and the flower buds and sentiment from Originally Organic Additions.

Introducing… Originally Organic Additions

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the February & 5th Birthday product release are well underway. Yesterday the Design Team and I introduced Block Party Birthday. If you missed it you can catch up HERE.

Today, we are back with the introduction of Originally Organic Additions – YAY! Originally Organic was introduced back in Sept/Oct last year HERE and I also had a feature and digital stamp collection in Simply Cards & Papercrafts HERE.

As both the clear stamps and digital stamps were so popular I decided to turn a few of the digital stamps into physical ones. Plus both sets can be mixed to create more possibilities, which I am sure you will see over the coming days/weeks 😉

Today I have focused on two of the smaller stamps in the set to create my own simple stamped background.

IntroOOadditions1

{CLICK Photo for a Larger View}

I’ve used another of the sentiments from the new set, again they are friendship and encouragement themed and have the same font mix that appears to be very popular.

I had a little trip out with the beans and a couple of crafty friends yesterday afternoon to the local Crafters Companion store. They have a lovely cafe too! So after a quick look round we sat, ate and decided what out purchases would be 😉

Anyway, I chose to try some lovely Lawn Fawn inks. The small outline flower and flower stem, which are two separate stamps are stamped in Manatee ink, a lovely soft grey. I was really pleased to discover that these inks withhold alcohol marker bleeding, so I coloured parts of the flower in with 3 different markers.

Now, be sure to hop along all the Design Team blogs and leave a comment along the way, as you never know you might just win a random prize! I know for sure that you won’t be disappointed the Design Team have created a bountiful wealth of inspiration 🙂

NBUS #8 Theme Colour On Kraft

Hey!

I’ve a little card to share today, which happens to be perfect for Darnell’s NBUS #8 Challenge HERE. The lovely Darnell is celebrating 46 years of marriage AND 5 years of blogging, congratulations Darnell!

button aqua use this the

So to celebrate these momentous occasions Darnell has a trio of NBUS Challenges, each with a different optional theme. This week is Colouring on Kraft…

NBUS2017a

{CLICK Photo for larger view}

Though technically I haven’t coloured on Kraft card stock, I have used Papertrey Ink Soft Stone instead. I have used my Prismacolor pencils to colour in the image stamped on the rectangle die cut using my NBUS Rectangle dies from Crafters Companion.

The layout of my card was inspired by the current TIME OUT Challenges challenge HERE, which is to CASE with your own twist the lovely Ksenija from Sweet Kobylkin. Below is Ksenija’s card to CASE…

TO SweetKobylkin

Hopefully you will see that I reversed the card stock colours that Ksenija used on her card and instead of stamping an all over pattern on the base card I decided to use my MISTI and do this spotlight stamping technique.

NBUS2017b

{CLICK Photo for larger view}

I added a sentiment from Simply Said and a few tiny rhinestones to finish the card off. And, I actually got round to sending this card out too, something I am ‘trying’ much harder to do this year and mail out more of the cards I make 😉

That’s all I have to share with you today, I am hoping to find a little creative time tonight and maybe squeeze in another card for the challenge. I have plenty of NBUS to use 😉

Thanks for stopping by & BIG thanks to Darnell for hosting such an awesome challenge.
