Introducing… Mid Century Modern Baubles

Welcome to the fifth and final day of the product introductions for our July/August Release.

Hopefully you didn’t miss day 1, 2 or 3 product introductions, but if you did you can catch up HEREHEREHERE and HERE.

Today myself and the Brand Ambassadors are showcasing another fun addition to the Mid Century Modern inspired products with another fun Christmas themed set, baubles! If you love the Mid Century Modern (MCM) series as much as I do, I think you will love this new addition and I am sure you will have fun pairing it with lots of the current products in this series.

Mid Century Modern Baubles features 3 fun bauble designs and a selection of Mid Century inspired decorations. Plus, like all the MCM we’ve introduced this week you can mix and match to your hearts content with new & previously released!

For my first card I used the larger of the baubles which I decorated with one of the oval shapes, sentiment and burst image from the set. This set contains a different bow shape to MCM Wreath Builder, but I did use the holly leaves and berries from the set.

Next I decided for a cluster of baubles and used all three of the shapes on one card. This is 14 x 14cm square card base, so hopefully you can visualise the size of the baubles.

To colour this trio of baubles I created a reverse mask, so using the outline you would usually discard. I then used my blending brush to quickly colour each of them.

I then used the shapes and burst image to decorate. The diamond shape behind is also from the stamp set. I’ve used Pebble ink onto Pebble card stock for a tone on tone effect. The sentiment is another mix and match from the set.

Lastly for today I wanted to pair a bauble, firstly with the pine branch from Winter Foliage and add some pattern using Background Blocks Mid Century Modern II.

I opted for a bright Honeysuckle pink colour and appropriately added the Merry and Bright sentiment. Even though I’ve used quite a lot on this one card, it has a bit of a clean & simple look to it.

So that’s it. All of the products have been introduced, which means tomorrow is Release Day!

I’d love to know what’s on your shopping list.

All the products will be available at 9am BST on the website HERE. I hope you will join us on the blog for our usual Reveal, Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Plus, I will be going Live on Facebook around 7pm BST to talk through the products and a few of the cards. As always I will save the video and share to our YouTube channel.

Introducing… Mid Century Modern Wreath Builder

Welcome to Day 1 of the product introductions for our July/August Release.

Today myself and the Brand Ambassadors are showcasing one of the new additions to the Mid Century Modern series with this fun wreath builder clear stamp set.

If you love the Mid Century Modern series as much as I do, I think you will love this new addition and I am sure you will have fun pairing it with lots of the current products in this series. Plus, on Release Day I will be showing more uses for this set, than just festive cards!

But first, let’s have a look at this stamp set in action…

For my first card I’ve gone for a 14 x 14 cm card base. The wreath is approximately 8.5 x 9 cm, so it doesn’t get ‘lost’ on a big card, but also fits nicely on a standard size card, as you will see.

The wreath comes in separate solid and outline stamps, but they are not the same. This is so they can be stamped layered like I have easily. Plus I think it creates interest and options with them being different.

I’ve added one of the sentiment options from the set, which I have fussy cut. Then I have embellished with some berries and the holly leaves also from the set.

For my next card I wanted to pair the wreath with some older, but much loved and ever popular Mid Century Modern products.

As you know I am a clean and simple card maker, but I love pattern too. Often it can be tricky getting balance of incorporating lots of white space and adding pattern. So to keep the balance the trick is to think about the card layout and techniques you can use to achieve the clean & simple style.

‘Some’ would say that this isn’t clean & simple. But we all have our own interpretations of the word and style and to me this fits on the upper end!

As you can see I used just the solid wheat for this card and overlapped them in Concord & 9th Sprout & Parsley inks. I then used a pencil to lightly draw a line where I wanted to cut straight and then around the wreath to reveal my base card.

I used Concord & 9th Cranberry card for the base and stamped the Background Block Mid Century Modern in Cranberry ink for a tone on tone effect. Again I have embellished with a fussy cut sentiment, holly leaves and berries.

Lastly for today I have another card pairing previously released Mid Century Modern products…

This card is sentiment heavy! I’ve used 5 of the 6 sentiments from the set on this one card! I wanted the sentiment to be the focus and the holly leaves to be the accent.

But I also wanted some Mid Century Modern pattern so opted for this layout and used Background Blocks Mid Century Modern II.

Fun, right?

These 3 cards only scratch the surface of the potential this clear stamp set holds. I know the Brand Ambassadors have worked their creative magic with this stamp set too, so be sure to head HERE and hop along.

I can’t wait to show you more of this set later in the week and coming weeks! Until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Officially Introducing… Falling Hearts Serenade, Everyday Love Sentiments and Stencil – Bokeh Layering Hearts

Welcome to the final day of product introductions for our 11th Birthday Release.

Today myself and Brand Ambassador Steph are ‘officially’ introducing three products that will now be available on the Uniko website after being launched on the How To Craft Network (HTCN) back at the end of January.

If you missed watching me on the HTCN you can catch up HERE and see the inspiration I shared using the products.

So let’s have another look at these in action…

I started by practicing my soft ink blending through stencils with the Bokeh Layering Hearts. The first layer of solid hearts is really soft. I used Concord & 9th Ballet Slipper ink and I hardly inked my brush. I then layered the stencil with the patterned and detailed hearts over the top and lightly inked with Honeysuckle.

I finished off by stamping the Falling Hearts Serenade with Dove, a beautiful light grey ink before adding the Love You heart from Always & Forever.

Next are all cards I made for the HTCN show, but I don’t think I have shared here on the blogs.

This first CAS card uses just one of the Bokeh Layering Hearts stencils and I selectively placed and inked the hearts in a cascade down the front. I finished off with one of the Everyday Love Sentiments.

For my third card today I used the solid hearts layer of the stencil two times, flipping for each of the colours.

I then added a stamped and fussy cut heart from BIG & BOLD Love along with the two smaller hearts from Falling Hearts Serenade and a sentiment from Everyday Love Sentiments.

You’ll notice that the shape of the stamped hearts are the same as the stencil, so there are lots of layering options with the two clear stamp sets mentioned above and Background Builders Hearts.

Lastly for today I decided to pair a selection of stamped and heat embossed sentiments from Everyday Love Sentiments with the previously released Stencil – Scattered Polka Hearts.

I’ve used white texture paste through the stencil for a little added dimension with it being white on white and I adorned the sentiments with this fun little accent heart from Falling Hearts Serenade.

So that’s it, that wraps up all the introductions for this release. It might be small, but it packs a creative punch and we are excited to reveal them all tomorrow at 9am GMT with our usual Blog Hop and Giveaway.

Hope to see you then.

Introducing… Hoppy Easter and Everyday Spring Sentiments

Welcome to Day 2 of the product introductions for our 11th Birthday Release.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the Brand Ambassador inspirational blog hop. Today myself and the Brand Ambassadors are showcasing Hoppy Easter and Everyday Spring Sentiments.

Let’s have a look at these in action…

First up I am stepping outside of my comfort zone with a little bunny scene. I used a new stencil we are introducing tomorrow to create the cloudy sky and the rolling hills.

I used the solid bunny from the set and inked him with shades of grey. I then used a white gel pen to add the detail to the ears. These little flower accents have been hanging around my desk for ages, they were a little freebie I got from Stampin’ Up! They were the perfect finishing touch with the sentiment from the Hoppy Easter set.

Next I couldn’t resist pairing the bunny with Flower Power #2, you know me, I am always inspired when restocks arrive.

This time I used the outline bunny and stamped it on Kraft card stock, along with the bunny tail, which I added an enamel dot to.

I then surrounded the bunny with flowers from Flower Power #2 and leaves from Flower Power #6. I added Nuvo Drops to the flowers and again the Hoppy Easter sentiment.

For my last card today I used Everyday Sentiments paired with the bunny.

You know I love this font style, so I couldn’t resist adding to them with some Spring themed words.

This time for the bunny I stamped Background Blocks Scattered Polka dots and then stamped the bunny and fussy cut it out. I adhered the bunny with foam adhesive.

So what do you think of this cutie? Can you see it hopping into your basket?!
We will be back tomorrow with more to share. This clear stamp set, along with all we are introducing this week will be available on Saturday 4th March 9am GMT.

Introducing… Spring Botanicals Crocus

Welcome to Day 1 of the product introductions for our 11th Birthday Release.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the Brand Ambassador inspirational blog hop. Today myself and the Brand Ambassadors are showcasing the newest addition to the Spring Botanicals Collection, Spring Botanicals Crocus.

Let’s have a look at this flower in action…

I started with my usual clean & simple style. I stamped and coloured the crocus with Prismacolor Pencils and then fussy cut the image out. I started cutting the two wispy leaves first and then followed the flower round.

I’ve then adhered the flower to a white card base using foam adhesive. My sentiment choice is from another clear stamp set we are introducing later this week! I finished off with a few enamel dots from my stash.

For my second card today I went with a ‘quicker’ colouring option. I highlight ‘quicker’ as in reality it took me a while to mask & ink each of the horizontal stripes!

I’d used these colours on another card I am sharing later this week and I really liked them, hence why I chose to use them with the Background Blocks Horizontal Stripes. I used my MISTI stamping tool and plenty of masking paper to achieve the look.

I then stamped the crocus over the top in black ink. This time I opted for one of the sentiments from the set.

Lastly for today I put my ink blending to the test. I was going for a rainy spring morning sky with the sun just rising. I used Concord & 9th Dove, Midnight, Grapefruit, Buttercup and Sprout.

I then heat embossed the crocus in white before colouring with Copic Markers and again opting for a sentiment from the same set as my first card.

That’s all for my inspiration today using this clear stamp set. But be sure to hop along the Brand Ambassadors to see what they have come up with.

We will be back tomorrow with more to share. This clear stamp set, along with all we are introducing this week will be available on Saturday 4th March 9am GMT.

Introducing… Background Builders Hearts

Happy Wednesday!

Welcome back to day 3 of the June 2022 Release product introductions. There is no mid week hump day as today we are bringing you all the love with the next addition to the Background Builders series, Background Builders Hearts ♥️

Like the previously released geometric background builders, this set contains both single image stamps and building strip stamps. This is perfect for all those love occasions from Valentine’s to anniversaries, to weddings and those times when you just want to tell someone you are sending them love.

And how appropriate to release this stamp set during Pride month, which inspired my cards today…

I couldn’t resist stamping a rainbow of texture hearts along the edge of my card. The size of these hearts is the same as the ones in the previously released BIG & BOLD Love, which I have used to stamp the smaller solid and outline hearts.

For the LOVE U heart I used sentiments from Festive Sentiments Outlined stamped inside another of the hearts from this new background building set. I finished the card off with some glossy Nuvo Drops and some enamel hearts from my stash.

For my second card to day I went super CAS. This time pairing another of the individual hearts with the LVE from Alphabet Outlined. As you can see I used a fine liner to fill in the outlined letters and alcohol markers to colour the heart.

That’s all from me today. I do hope you will stop back tomorrow for the last of the product introductions.

Introducing… BIG & BOLD You & Stencil Flower Power #7

 Hello & Thursday!

Welcome to Day 2 of the 10th Birthday February 2022 Release product introductions. If you missed day 1 you can catch up HERE.

Today myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors have more creative inspiration to share as we introduce BIG & BOLD You & Stencil Flower Power #7.

The BIG & BOLD series of stamps has been slowly growing over the years and I am delighted it remains popular. There are lots of words coming to this series over the course of 2022, but today we see YOU being the focus. Personally I think this is a powerful word and great for encouragement cards and not just seasonal ones. I also think it pairs beautiful with the new Stencil – Flower Power #7 😉

All the products will be available for purchase at 10am GMT Sunday 28th February 2022.

Today I have three cards to share with you. First up is a card using BIG & BOLD You.

Who doesn’t love a clean and simple rainbow card? This was pretty quick to make and I didn’t use my stamping platform. I simply used a pencil and ruler to mark out where to stamp the ‘Just For’ sentiment. Then repeatedly stamped it using my current favourite Concord & 9th inks.

You must know by now I love fussy cutting! So I stamped and fussy cut the ‘you’ (sorry no dies, yet) and adhered it using foam adhesive. The stamp set comes with some small accent stamps, I love dots so I added those for a little something else.

Next I had a play with the Stencil – Flower Power #7

I’ve created this Flower Power stencil a little different from #1, #5 and #8 that have been released so far. This flower shape is a little more simple, but SO much fun. This time there are 3 sizes of the flower on the one stencil and you get the masks too, which I have used to create this first card.

I used temporary adhesive to secure each of the 3 sizes of flower onto my card base. I then ink blended my 3 favourite colours, Buttercup, Honeysuckle & Oceanside, to create this cheerful background. The card is finished with a sentiment from Everyday Sentiment and some Nuvo Gloss Drops in Ebony.

For my final card for today I used the Flower Power #7 stencil to create the opposite of this first card.

Along with the flowers on the stencil, I’ve included a trio of circles to use for the centres. I finished my card slightly different, mounting the panel onto a white card base and adding a different sentiment from Everyday Sentiments.

There is so much fun to be had with this stencil, just wait till you see what the Brand Ambassadors have created 😉

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to pop back tomorrow for the next of the product introductions.

I had grand plans of having a variety of birthday cards to share with you today, as to be honest it was hard deciding what Uniko products to showcase for this special occasion.

All of the clear stamps, designer dies and stencils I have designed over the years hold that something special. A reason for being and a connection to a memory. It felt like I was choosing a favourite child and neglecting the other!

So what did I choose?

Inspiration took over and this was the end result! A mix of geometrics, florals and current favourite sentiment! Originally Organic, Background Builders: Delightful Diamonds and Floral Vines.

What do you think?

Are you surprised by my choice of stamps?

I do hope you will join in on the fun. There is plenty of time to join in on this first quest. The deadline for submission is midnight (GMT) on Sunday 27th February 2022.

How beautiful is her card featuring Floral Vines! I really hope you have time to pop over to her blog and leave her a lovely comment – HERE.

I’m still in full on Christmas mode, I need to sit down this weekend and write my cards and get some in the mail! As usual I think I am super organised, when really I am not – haha!

I dusted off Rustic Christmas for my card today. I can’t believe this is my first time inking it up this festive season.

I kept my design super simple as I might just need another quick mass produceable card for those last minute makes 😉 I added some little red heart embellishments and a sentiment from Christmas Sentiments.

Be sure to check out all the Brand Ambassador inspiration HERE. You will also find the link up to the challenge and all the prize details.

September/October 2021 Reveal, Release & Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Yay 🎉 it’s the day we’ve all been waiting for!

Finally I have introduced you to the 3 new stamp sets and the new stencil in their entirety. They are all available to purchase HERE on the website now. AND we have our usual Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY! Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE where I have formally done the above and you will find the full hop list.

So let’s get to the fun stuff and see what I have created for today!

First up is another card using yesterdays introduction, Pattern Building Christmas Tree. As you can see I couldn’t resist pairing it with the previously released Background Blocks Scandinavian Christmas .

A little more busy than my usual CAS style, but I think these products pair nicely together. Lots of fussy cutting on this card, but I think the results are totally worth it.

Next today I have another card using Pattern Building Christmas Tree, but I used one of the stamps to create a fun frame.

Unfortunately I can’t say that I came up with this idea though. It was Sam Squires from the Funky Fossil Design Team who inspired me to create a frame. Sam used this stamp set for our Instahop collaboration HERE. BTW, there is still time to hop along and be in the chance of winning.

For my card I added a sentiment from Christmas Wishes and embellished with some holly leaves and berries from Winter Foliage.

I have one last card to share today and again I have used Pattern Building Christmas Tree! This time I decided to pair it with another old favourite, Peace On Earth.

I created a similar card for the Funky Fossil Instahop collaboration and I used their birds to hold the string. So I couldn’t resist remaking the card, but with Uniko birds.

That’s all I have to share for now, but I will be back with more this week. Have fun on the hop, don’t forget to comment along the way to be in the chance of winning. You have until Midnight BST Sunday 10th October.

Thank you for all your comments and support of the release this week.
