For this challenge we have the winner of Challenge #43 the awesomely talented Sue from Sue’s Card Craft¬† joining us as our Guest Designer. Do go check out her blog, you’ll find loads of wonderful ideas and inspiration there.

Here’s her amazing card:

Fabulous isn’t it? Be sure to pop on over to her blog HERE and leave her some love.

Here is how I decided to get my festive on…

USC#44

I’m absolutely loving the recently released Festive Sentiments clear stamp set, it has hardly left my desk since the release and mainly just to clean the stamps!

USC#44b

I wanted the sentiment to be the focus of the card and to appear to have a coloured shadow. It is a pretty simple technique, achieved by stamping the sentiment in a coloured ink, and then moving your card slightly down and to the side by literally a millimetre and stamping again in black ink.

I used my MISTI tool to place the sentiment and I made sure to slightly off centre it on my white card layer before stamping it in Island Indigo ink. I did practice a couple of times on scrap paper, to know how much to move my layer to achieve the shadow effect.

To finish the card off, I accented the sentiment with the holly berries and leaves from Background Builders: Vines Winter Additions and off centre layered my stamped layer with Island Indigo and Real Red card.

That’s all from me, but the Uniko Design team also have some Christmas inspiration to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs below to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too ūüėČ

Introducing… Block Party Christmas

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the October 2017 product release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks at the 5 clear stamp sets being released and NOW it is time for the Design Team and I to introduce them to you.

Today, myself and my AWESOME Design Team are introducing the next in the Block Party series, Block Party Christmas.

Just like Block Party Birthday, the stamp is one BIG block, measuring 9.5 x 13 cm and it is a style of Subway Art. You might recognise some images from previously released and now retired clear stamp sets.

I kept my first card here really simple and hopefully letting the stamp take centre stage?! I simply stamped (a whole bunch) the image in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and set it aside to dry. I then decided to give my new trio of Distress Oxide inks and outing and created a simple ink blended background. To finish the card off I went and added glitter to most of the open images/words using my Quickie glue pen and Stampin’ Up glitter. I also added some small dots to the snowflakes for good measure ūüėČ

For my last card today (which I nearly didn’t share as it isn’t my best make), I decided to do some heat embossing…

IntroBPxmas3

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

Again I used my MISTI tool to stamp the image in VersaMark ink and then heat embossed the image in Gold EP. I then trimmed the image to use just a small section of the block.

In hindsight I wish that I had kept it at that, but I decided to mess on and die cut a small Designer Die Snowflake (more details on these on Monday, unless you’ve been following me on Instagram/Facebook) and added some gold heat embossing to that too!

That’s all from me today using this stamp, but be sure to hop along all the Design Team blogs and leave a comment along the way, as you never know you might just win a random prize (in September random prizes were added to various release day orders). I know for sure that you won’t be disappointed the Design Team have created a bountiful wealth of inspiration :)

Merry Christmas 2016!

Merry Christmas!

I thought I would pop by to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas and share one of my last minute CAS Christmas cards I made this week…

The ‘merry’ die cut is Stampin’ Up! and die cut from black and gold metallic paper. The foliage is a mix of stamps from Rustic Wreath and Background Builders: Winter Vines and the sentiment is from Simply Said II.

I hope you all have a wonderful day spent with family, friends and loved ones, whether you celebrate the occasion or not.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

LOVE THE BROWNS!

Introducing…Christmas Pop and Most Wonderful

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the November product release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks at the 3 clear stamp sets being released and NOW it is time for the Design Team and I to introduce them to you.

Today we are introducing two clear stamp sets called Christmas Pop and Most Wonderful. Both these clear stamp sets can be used individually, but they work perfectly together too ūüėČ

My first card uses just Christmas Pop and the sentiment is from Simply Said Christmas…

The stamps contained in the set have a multitude of mix and match options. On my card I have used two of the main images from the set. The outline tree and the elongated triangle with horizontal lines. I used my Stampin’ Up! Bright Markers to selectively colour the horizontal lines in a rainbow before stamping and fussy cutting it out.

The routine tree is stamped onto a white card layer and the fussy cut tree adhered on top using foam adhesive. I added a good smothering of clear Wink Of Stella to the tree and added a selection of Stampin’ Up! enamel dots to finish the card off.

Next I have combined Christmas Pop with one of the complete ready to stamp sentiments from Most Wonderful…

IntroChristmasPop1

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

I chose to use 3 of the main clear stamps from Christmas Pop and 2 of the accent stamps from the set along with a funky Christmas colour scheme I am seeing a lot at the moment. Shades of Teal/Aqua with Lime Green.

The outline tree stamp I used on my first card is embellished with the 2 accent stamps. It’s hard to see in the photo, but I added a good smothering to the trees on this card too! This time I embellished with pearls from The Hobby House.

Ok, that’s all I have to share with you today, but be sure to hop along the Design Team Blogs (links below) for even more inspiration. I know for a fact you won’t be disappointed, the team have created amazing projects showcasing how this set can be used…

Stamp Of The Week – Rustic Christmas

Hey!

Welcome back, and my apologies for my absence at the end of last week, nothing like a sickness bug to disrupt everything :( I was laid up in bed Thursday and Friday, unable to do anything. Movement was a no no as it made the sickness worse.

Anyway, this week I am continuing with¬†Rustic Christmas¬†as my SOTW…

RusticChristmasPP

Today I have gone for a¬†super CAS card. My mojo hasn’t quite returned and so I used a pin I saved on Pinterest HERE to CASE…

{click photo for a closer look}

I also used the current CAS Colours & Sketches challenge colours seen HERE and below for my card. They are having a DT Call this week and next week, so be sure to check it out and join in!

CC&S color196-001

I was going to add some twine or thread above the sentiment, but decided I didn’t quite have the right colour, really need some Metallic Copper thread ūüėČ

That’s all I have to share today, I will be back tomorrow with more using this set. Don’t forget that the set is discounted¬†HERE¬†for this week only.

Until tomorrow, thanks for stopping by :)
