Introducing… Pure Florals Peony Clear Stamp Set

Hey!

Welcome to Day 4 of the December 2018 Release product introductions.

I am so happy you have decided to pop by again. Today is the last of the December production introductions and I have saved a new favourite till last. Pure Florals: Peony 🙂

I have one more bonus card to share with you today using the smaller bloom from the clear stamp set…

How about some classic colouring on kraft card stock with pencils? I wouldn’t class myself no where near an expert at colouring and I think this is a perfect choice and combination of mediums to get lovely results. I used 3 shades of pink Prismacolor Pencils plus white for the bloom and 3 greens for the leaves.

Once I had stamped the flower in VersaMark ink and heat embossed in white EP I started colouring. I always start with adding shading with the darkest colours and finish with the lightest and white to blend them together.

To finish the card, I added some simple white bakers twine, a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks II and some of my favourite Gloss Simply White Nuvo Drops!

Introducing… Wonderful Day Clear Stamp Set

Hey!

Welcome to Day 2 of the December 2018 Release product introductions.

I am so happy you have decided to pop by again. The countdown to the December Release is in full swing and this is the fun part where you get to see the sneak peeks I shared HERE in action on cards & projects.

Yesterday I introduced 2 NEW Uniko Stencils called In The Forest and Let it Snow. You can catch up HERE and HERE.

As December is a super busy time for everyone, it is just me doing the product introductions for this release. Though the Uniko DT will be joining me on Release Day for our traditional blog hop 🙂

Anyway, I have one more card to share using this new clear stamp set called Wonderful Day…

For this card I focused on using the solid flower images and used 2 shades of Altenew inks for my stamp layering. I love these inks for their colours & their ease in not having to match colours for stamp layering! This card was pretty quick to make 😉

I used Dew Drops & Aqualicious, Soft Lilac & Lavender Fields and Frosty Pink & Coral Berry for my colours. I stamped another of the sentiments from the set onto a small piece of Papertrey Ink Soft Stone card and also added just the small leaf stem to the flowers. I am in love with Simply White Gloss Nuvo Drops and I can’t stop using them on all my cards!

Introducing… Uniko Stencils – In The Forest and Let it Snow

Hey!

Welcome to Day 1 of the December 2018 Release product introductions.

This is the fun part where you get to see the sneak peeks I shared yesterday in action on cards & projects. As December is a super busy time for everyone, it is just me doing the product introductions for this release. Though the Uniko DT will be joining me on Release Day for our traditional blog hop 🙂

So I have a couple more cards to share using the 2 new stencils…

For this first card I couldn’t resist using the white stencil medium again! I just love the glossy finish it gives and also the subtle dimension to designs.

I kept the design simple by framing my stencilled panel, adding a little ribbon loop to the edge & a sentiment from the popular Simply Said Blocks Christmas clear stamp set released back in October.

Lastly I have one more card to share using the Let it Snow stencil…

I decided to pair it with another older and popular favourite, BIG & BOLD Snow clear stamps. After inking the stencil with Altenew Ocean Waves & Dusk inks I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the snowflakes & some Simply White Gloss Nuvo Drops, slightly off centre to the dots in the design.

I used my MISTI tool to stamp the large ‘snow’ sentiment in Desert Night ink and then again in VersaMark ink to heat emboss with Stardust EP. Some therapeutic fussy cutting & my favourite 1mm thick foam adhesive to assemble the card 😉

December 2018 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hey!

Yep, I must be a little crazy, but I thought I would squeeze in one more release before 2018 is over 😉 So, I am super happy to share the December 2018 Release Sneak Peeks with you…

This month I am releasing 3 NEW clear stamp sets…

This first peek you might have seen on Social Media over the past couple of weeks 😉 It is the latest Pure Florals flower and one that has been highly requested for some time now.

This second peek is of a new Winter themed set, with my favourite, snowflakes!! And lastly, but by no means least the last clear stamp set for this release is another fun modern flower builder clear stamp set.

And how about a couple more Uniko Stencils to add into the mix?!

When it is cold and snowy outside there is nothing more warming than a hot drink! I am surprisingly not a coffee or tea drinker (*enter shocked face*), however I do LOVE a hot chocolate 😉 So this inspired my card today. I’ve combined the Uniko I LOVE Coffee clear stamp set with a NEW Uniko Stencil ‘Let it Snow’, which will be released on December 11th along with some other NEW goodies!

Uniko Challenge #50 – Celebrate with Optional Twist Gold

Hey!

Welcome to the November/December 2018 Uniko Challenge. This month we have a brilliant theme for you – Celebrate, with the optional twist of GOLD.

Although Christmas may be the immediate thing that comes to mind at this time of the year, Celebrate encompasses many other festivals or occasions, so we hope you’ll find it a really easy theme to play along with.

We’ve the wonderfully talented and awesome Mugdha from craftomania joining us as our Guest Designer for this challenge. If you’ve never visited her blog before you’re in for a real treat, her cards are amazing!

Here is how I was inspired by the theme…

I decided to make a celebratory birthday card and ‘tried’ to keep it masculine! I combine Balloon Bash with the recently restocked Birthday Sentiments clear stamp sets.

I stamped and embossed the large celebrate with gold embossing powder and then stamped the smaller sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. The balloons are stamped in Altenew Aqualicious and Teal Cave ink and I added some stamped stars which I have also embossed in gold. I fussy cut the balloons, adhered the circle balloon with foam adhesive and used a fine liner to draw in the strings.

I hope I have inspired you to join in on the challenge! If you need a few more ideas the DT have some wonderful inspiration too…

A simple, yet poignant symbol of remembering. I have used Uniko Style to stamp my poppy and added a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks II.

Jolly Christmas is Back!!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

I do hope your weekend has got off to a better start than mine!

I think I tired myself out last night painting The Beans room while they slept over at their Grandparents and then when that was done we had 2 BIG boy single beds to assemble. I think we finished up at about 11:30 pm !!

Then today I feel like I have spent the day doing errands, only to find frustrating obstacles everywhere I went. To top the day off I have just discovered a leak from our en-suite toilet and it dripping through the ceiling into the playroom. This calls for some R&R and GIN!

On a positive note, The Beans LOVE their new BIG boy beds and are tucked up fast asleep. My FIL has been round and hopefully fixed the leak too – fingers crossed all stays well overnight!

ANYWAY… enough of all my woes! I am SUPER excited that Jolly Christmas is now back in stock – YAY! He was the only sell out from the October Release and now he is back I am itching to share more using him, like I have on the card…

On Thursday I took a trip out to our local Crafters Companion store with a friend and I was super happy to finally get my hands on some Simply White Gloss Nuvo Drops 🙂 plus a few other colours! I’d seen Yana Smakula’s card HERE using them as a snowy background and had to give it a go.

I’ve used Prismacolor Pencils to colour my Jolly Santa in and added Stampin’ Up! Glitter to the bobble & brim of his hat, along with the cuffs of his coat. The sentiment is a favourite of mine from Simply Said Christmas. I used the current Freshly Made Sketches layout for my card seen HERE and below.

I had a lovely crafternoon on Thursday making cards to share with all the restocks that arrived in the studio this week. Lots of popular clear stamps are back in store including, Background Builders: Seeing Stars, Birthday Sentiments, I LOVE Coffee, Kindness Blooms and So Much. I will be sharing my cards over the coming days 🙂

25 Days Of Christmas Tags – Uniko Day 8!

I’m super happy you’ve popped by today as here at Uniko we are super excited to be part of a wonderful festive event…

This is the 8th year the lovely and creative Tracey McNeely from In My Creative Opinion has organised this fun and festive event to spread Christmas Cheer.

Uniko are honoured to be one of the 26 sponsors of the event and to be taking part 🙂

Myself and the some of the Uniko Design Team have got our festive on and created some Christmas Tags to share with you, so let’s get to the inspiration!

I wanted to go ‘Classic Christmas’ with a modern look, so I decided upon a holly theme for my tag duo 🙂

For my first tag on the right I wanted to use Background Builders: Christmas 2018 and a Lawn Fawn ‘joy’ die I have had for over a year now, but not used 🙁

I started by stamping the stripes from Background Builders: Christmas 2018 in Altenew Industrial Diamond ink. The joy is die cut 5 times from Stampin’ Up! Real Red card and layered to give it dimension. I also added some fine glitter using a glue pen. The holly sprig is from Winter Foliage and the Christmas sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks Christmas.

I used some Papertrey Ink Smokey Shadow Satin Ribbon and some Stampin’ Up! Basic Grey Bakers Twine for the bow. The tag shape is also from Papertrey Ink.

Next I decided to use Background Builders: Christmas and my favourite 2 step holly background stamps to create an all over background on my tag.

I used Altenew Moss & Ruby Red inks to stamp the holly background and this time I added a vellum overlay tag, which I added a sentiment from Jolly Christmas & Simply Said II, with some more holly from Winter Foliage to accent it.

Again the ribbon is from Papertrey Ink & this time it is Simply Chartreuse and the Bakers Twine is Cherry Cobbler from Stampin’ Up! The tag shape is Clearly Besotted.

25 Days Of Christmas Tags – Day 2 Inspired

Hey & Happy Monday!

I am back tonight with another tag to share. I am so inspired by all the beautiful tags that I have seen around social media, I’ve finally got myself organised and actually join in on Tracey McNeeley’s 25 Days Of Christmas Tags event AND not just as a sponsor!

Yep, you read that right, Uniko is one of the 26 sponsors of the 8th 25 Days Of Christmas Tags – YAY! Below is a graphic showing all of the wonderful sponsors of this event…

So I am joining in on the fun and made this tag to share…

My inspiration for this tag came from Tracey’s tag HERE on Day 2. I love the fresh green’s of the berry sprig with pops of red that Tracey had used along with the gold embossing. It made me think of the bough from Peace On Earth, so I dusted my set off and got it inky!

As the bough image is just one single stamp, after I had stamped it in Altenew Moss ink, I went in with a dark green Prismacolor pencil and added some details to the leaves. The berries from Winter Foliage are stamped in Ruby Red ink and fussy cut out. The gold embossed sentiment is a mix of Simply Said II and Simply Said Christmas.

I love ribbon and I am a total hoarder of it! I have so many pretty Papertrey Ink ribbons that rarely see daylight and it is fun to be adding them to tags 🙂 This one is Bitty Polka Dot in New Leaf. The tag shape is Clearly Besotted Rounded Tag.
