Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #1

Hey!

Well, I don’t know how Sunday evening happened! This weekend has gone crazy quick and these little beans are keeping me on the go, as well as all the household chores which are A LOT easier to accomplish when hubby is home to keep them occupied.

I was hoping to have more to share with you today, to make up for missing Friday & Saturday, but I have just the two cards using this weeks Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #1.

FlowerPower1PP

Don’t forget that tonight is the last night to get this set at 15% off HERE, it will revert back to normal price tomorrow as I will have a new Stamp Of The Week.

Anyway, onto my cards…

My first card is super CAS and inspired by the new sketch seen HERE and below over at CAS – Colours & Sketches. I also used the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

2015.10.22 #147 sketch

My card was really quick to make, the longest part was fussy cutting out the flowers! The Melon Mambo one was adhered to the card using double sided tape & the Pink Pirouette one using foam adhesive.

My next card was inspired by the current Uniko Challenge HERE, which is all about using Geometrics. I had planned on sharing this card on Friday but it didn’t happen unfortunately, but it did today…

SOTW11

I started out by stamping my sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #6 and then began stamping the larger squares from Background Builders: Squared in Melon Mambo. Before stamping the Real Red small outline squares I first over stamped the large squares with the outline flower from Flower Power #1 in black ink.

The layout and placement of the squares was random, though I tried to keep in mind the balance and triangle of placing my elements. The colours of my card are inspired by the current Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below.

I’ll be sharing more ideas this week in how to add simple geometrics to your cards & creations and of course the new Stamp Of The Week, another oldie but a goodie stamp set with tons of possibilities, especially with Christmas fast approaching. I am always open for requests if there is a stamp set you would like me to use as Stamp Of The Week, either email me or leave me a comment.

Ok, that’s all from me today, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today & I hope you have enjoyed this weeks Stamp Of The Week.

As usual I have used a couple of challenges to spark my creativity, I seem to be lacking in mojo a little recently! Anyway, I decided to use the current Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card. It is perfect for the large outline THANKS sentiment.
FMS Final 204-001
I also used the current CAS – Colours & Sketches challenge colours again as they were already on my desk. You can join in HERE and see the colours below.
CC&S color142-001
I started out by masking off a centre strip on a white CS panel & stamped a variety of leaves and swirls from the Natures Treasures II set (released tomorrow). I then stamped & glittered the large THANKS on a smaller panel of white CS & tied some embroidery floss around before adhering to the stamped panel with foam adhesive. Then mounted again onto a white card base.

Let it SNOW…in July!

Hey!

It’s a super rainy Monday here at Uniko HQ. So I am spending the beans nap time getting a little creative in the studio! It certainly adds a little cheer to my day 🙂

I decided to play along with the current CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge HERE and seen below and created another Christmas card.

With a few clear stamp restocks expected tomorrow HERE in store, but are also available for pre order now, I decided to reach for my Stunning Snowflakes and BIG & BOLD – Snow stamp sets to create my card. I combined them with the SU! Little Letter dies which I have had in my stash for a while but not used – Oops!

Let it SNOW in July, well it feels pretty Autumn like here today and I actually turned the heating on for an hour, so if it did snow it wouldn’t shock me! Haha!

There is still time to use the 10% discount code SUMMER10 which expires at midnight tonight. Be sure to take advantage of this little offer 🙂 All our offers, re stocks and more are always announced via our newsletters, sign up HERE at the bottom of the website.
Ok, that’s all from me today, but I will be back later in the week with more to share. Until then thank you for stopping by today 🙂

Have YOU joined us yet?

Hey!

I’m here today to remind you that there is still time to join in on the current Uniko Challenge HERE. This fortnight we have another easy challenge for you…

‘Black & White with an optional twist – a splash of colour

We have two lovely guest designers joining us Anita & Julie B, be sure to stop on by their blogs as well as the Uniko Design Team. We have prizes up for grabs too, all links to the team and their creations along with the prizes can be found HERE on the other Uniko blog!

Again, I went with the optional twist of colour and AGAIN I reached for the hot pink!

UC#23c

I decided to use the new Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below for the layout of my card, which was also the starting point for my choice of stamps, the polaroid frame from Strike a Pose!

FMS Final 196-001

As you can see I rotated the sketch so that the polaroid frame would fit nicely. I need a few cards to send to friends I haven’t been in touch with for a while and so I decided to use the HEY! sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #2 and added a layered small butterfly from English Country Garden Butterflies.

UC#23d

That’s all from me today, be sure to stop on by and enter the challenge HERE, I’d love you to join in 🙂

Negatives, Positives & Balloons!

Hey!

What a scorcher here in the NE of the UK! Summer has finally arrived 🙂 I am not a sun worshipper as I burn easily, but I do love it when the sun is out. Then a good thunderstorm to go with it is just as good.

The beans & I took a lovely sunny walk this morning into our local market town – Yarm. Then this afternoon after the thunderstorm had cooled things down for a while at least, the new paddling pool was christened…

The beans LOVE bath time and even cry when it is time to get out so they thought it was fabulous when they were stripped naked and plopped into the pool!

Anyway, now they are fast asleep in bed I have snuck off to the studio office for a little creative time 🙂 I had this idea in my head for another card for CAS Colours & Sketches before the challenge closes tonight…

My idea took a little creative turn and instead of using the positive die cut which I had planned on I decided to use the negative instead. HERE and below is the sketch as a reminder…

I placed the string bow of the balloon where the ribbon bow is on the sketch and stamped the word happy to complete the line of the sketch. I also used the current colours over at The Card Concept HERE and below for my card.

Balloon Bash was the top seller on the website last month and it was the perfect set to use for my card along with a partial sentiment from A Gift For You.

Now I have caught up and got my creative fix I am going to go flop with hubby in front of the TV and watch an episode or two! Thanks for stopping by today & I will be back tomorrow with more to share 🙂
