You’re Going to Flip – Brand Ambassador Release Day Blog Hop & Giveaway!

Happy Weekend!

I do hope you’ve enjoyed You’re Going to Flip Week here on the blog and you’re as excited about this new stencil, as I am 😃 It is now available HERE on the website to purchase and if you are coming to Stamping Together in Port Sunlight today, I will have stock with me. I will also be doing a LIVE demo on the How To Craft Network using this stencil. The live is recorded and I will share it once it is available in case you miss it.

Anyway, back to this fun stencil…

This is designed like the previously released Ink & Flip Geometric Heart Layering Stencil. In that you can use each layer individually or use them together.

So let’s have a look at this in action…

For my first card I went for a mix of bold colours with soft colours to create this striking card. For the background I used Parsley and Rainforest. And for the butterfly I used Watermelon and Creamsicle.

This time for the butterfly I inked and flipped it onto a separate piece of card, fussy cut it out and adhered it using foam adhesive. This helps it pop a little more against the base card. To finish I used a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks II.

I’m all about the dimension on my cards today, as for my next card I used just the butterfly layer.

I inked two butterfly’s, one bright and bold to use on the top and one soft and delicate to use underneath. You can see in this photo below how I have scored and layered them.

To finish the card I added a sentiment from Floral Vines and also the trio of dots, which I added Nuvo Drops to.

That’s all I have to share today, but I am sure you will be seeing more of this stencil in the coming days!

Be sure to comment along the hop for your chance to win a Flippin’ Good Prize! Commenting to win will close midnight BST Sunday 28th April 2024 and I will announce the winner on the blog 29th April.

Thank you so much for joining us this week, for all the lovely comments and support.

You’re Going to Flip – Introducing Ink & Flip Geometric Butterfly Layering Stencil

Hello & Welcome to You’re Going to Flip Week!

It’s been such a fun week on the blog, I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have. Today though, I am super excited as we finally get to introduce you to the NEW Ink & Flip Geometric Butterfly Layering Stencil.

This stencil is designed just like the previous Ink & Flip Geometric Heart Layering Stencil. With a base layer that creates a Butterfly window and a second detail layer that creates the geometric butterfly.

Let’s have a look at it in action…

I couldn’t resist using the geometric butterfly layer first and with two vibrant colours. I used Dragonfruit and Oceanside. My sentiment choice is from Floral Vines.

Next I had to use both layers together to show you how it looks as one.

Again I opted for some bright and cheerful colours. I used Honeysuckle and Poppy for the base background layer and Buttercup and Oceanside for the butterfly.

I kept things simple and finished with the Thinking Of You sentiment from Everyday Sentiments.

So, what do you think?

I know it’s easier to see these stencils in action, so I will be sharing a video on YouTube as soon as I can 😃

For now, why not enjoy more inspiration from the Brand Ambassadors over HERE.

This new stencil will be available on the website HERE tomorrow at 9am BST and I hope you will join us here on the blog for our usual Brand Ambassador Release Day Blog Hop & Giveaway.

Introducing… Stencil English Country Garden Butterflies Bundle

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Welcome back to day 3 and the final introduction of the June 2021 Mini Uniko Stencil Release. Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the hop.

Let me introduce you to the next stencils, English Country Garden Butterflies Bundle…

The bundle consists of two 6 x 6 inch stencils and a mask. Although I have bundled these together, there are lots of creative ways of using them on their own. Just as there is by using them together and combined with the English Country Garden Butterflies clear stamp AND the English Country Garden Butterflies Designer Dies!

Here is how I used them today…

I started off simple for my first card & combined both of the stencils. I started by inking the solid butterfly first with Distress Oxide inks in Mustard Seed, Spiced Pumpkin & Lipstick.

I then placed the detail stencil over the top and used Spiced Pumpkin, Lipstick and Festive Berries. I finished the card with a sentiment from Birthday Sentiments.

So many ideas for these stencils, but lastly for today I wanted to use just the butterfly mask…

I often forget to reach for other colour card, but I am currently going through a phase of using Kraft! I love how Distress Oxide inks still remain bright and vibrant on Kraft.

For this I temporarily adhered the mask and inked around using Salvaged Patina, Wilted Violet & Picked Raspberry. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks II and I added a little trio of black Nuvo Drops.

That’s all from me today, but be sure to hop around all of the Brand Ambassador blogs…

This stencil bundle along with the others introduced over the last couple of days will be available for purchase HERE on the website tomorrow Sunday 20th June at 9am BST.

Be sure to pop back tomorrow for the June 2021 Stencil Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

April / May 2019 Reveal, Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hey!

Finally the day has arrived and the April / May 2019 Reveal, Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY is here! The Release will be available to purchase HERE at a NEW time of 9pm GMT tonight.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, where I have formally introduced the 4 new Clear Stamp Set designs, 2 coordinating Designer Die collections AND 1 Stencil Design being released.

I’ve made a couple more cards using the new products, not as many as I had hoped to make, but I do feel I am getting back into the creative groove again…

MayRD1

My first card uses the Designer Dies English Country Garden Butterflies. I’ve been wanting to pair the butterfly with the Large French Script Background for ages and it seemed the perfect time now I had the dies to match. They give such a love clean cut edge compared to fussy cutting!

MayRD1a

I still have a thing for shades of grey! Hence my colour scheme, though I did add in a little hint of aqua for the butterfly body and some Nuvo Drop detail. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Birthday Sentiments, which is now back in stock.

My last card today was inspired by a couple of things. Firstly the Double Challenge over at CAS Colours & Sketches seen HERE and below.

double 319

And secondly by Jenny’s card HERE our Guest Designer for this release. I just loved how Jenny thought to cut up the Background Block Mid Century Modern II. So I did the same, this time using it for the top and bottom border in the sketch.

MayRD2

I simply stamped the Background Block Mid Century Modern II in black and coloured the outline sections with the closest colours to the challenge as I had. I then got to fussy cutting the sections out and adhered them to my card base using some new Gina K Connect Glue – LOVE! Thanks for the recommendation Lynda 😉

MayRD2a

The sentiment is another from Birthday Sentiments and I’ve accented it with a flower from Mid Century Modern Florals and some of my favourite Gloss White Nuvo Drops!

That’s all from me today, but as usual we have our traditional Design Team Blog Hop & Giveaway. To be in the chance of winning The ENTIRE April / May 2019 Release! (4 clear stamp sets, 2 previously released clear stamp sets, 2 co-ordinating designer die collections & 1 stencil design).

Simply comment along the blog hop, it’s as easy as that! You have until Midnight Sunday 12th May 2019. Winner will be announced a few days after.

Happy Hopping!

Excited for Septembers Craft Stamper Magazine!

Hey!

I am super duper excited to share some sneaky peeks of some projects the Design Team and I have in a Uniko feature in the September issue of Craft Stamper magazine – whoop!

CS_208 SEP17{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I was beyond thrilled when Trish Latimer the Editor of Craft Stamper emailed me to see if Uniko along with the Design Team would be interested in making some projects for a feature in the magazine. As you can see, I did and my Design Team have been amazing and created SO many mixed media projects using Uniko products, that they couldn’t fit them all in the magazine feature! Fear not the extra ones will be on their blog 😉

Subscribers to the magazine will have probably received their copy through the mail by now, but those who want to grab a copy they will go on sale on Friday 4th August. I’ve attached some info as to how to purchase a copy online or get a subscription at the end of the post.

Anyway, how about a few sneaky peek photos at a few of the projects featured…

These first two photos are of projects I created. I had a little bit of a theme going and I was also inspired by the current trend of pairing florals with geometrics. Can you spot my signature colour combo too?!

Jane Taylor

This beautiful blue and turquoise card is by Jane, again bang on trend with pairing geometrics, this time with the butterfly from English Country Garden Butterflies.

Lindsey Bowe2

This project peek is one of Lindsey’s. Just look at the layering of stamped images and pretty colours. Can you name some of the sets Lindsey has used on the background?! If you can, tell me in the comments and I’ll pick a winner to receive one of the sets featured 😉

Next is another pretty English Country Garden Butterfly project, this time by Rahmat…

Rahmat Gouse

Another beautiful pairing of the butterfly, this time with Pure Florals: Lily. Such pretty shades of pink, beautiful ink splatters and shiny sequins 🙂

There is a bit of a trend appearing, with another project featuring English Country Garden Butterflies. A firm favourite among the DT 😉 This is one of the projects by Sarah G. I love how Sarah has used the sentiment from the set in the background and the blues, turquoise and greens. Such fresh and happy colours.

Sarah Gray

Lastly, but by no means least is this fabulous sneak peek by Sarah P…

Sarah Platt

Another firm favourite of the myself and the DT is Originally Organic. It also seems pretty popular in store as again it is sold out! I will be getting a restock of this set along with others in the next couple of weeks 😉

I hope you have enjoyed this sneaky peek post and are now itching to get your hands on the magazine?! You definitely want to get a copy either physical or digital as there is a giveaway of some kind in the magazine, where you can win some Uniko clear stamps!

Here’s some of the places you can get the magazine from August 4th…www.craftstamper.com to buy subscriptions, www.mags-uk.com for single print copies, digital copies from www.pocketmags.co.uk Overseas subscriptions are available too!

That’s all from me today, thanks for stopping by 🙂

Stamp Of The Week – English Country Garden Butterflies

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… English Country Garden – Butterflies

ECGbutterfliesPP

Apologies for being MIA last week, with all the February Release prep and some ‘home’ emergencies I didn’t get a lot of creative time. However, I have made up for it over the weekend and had a good crafty session creating all sorts of inspiration that I will be sharing here and HERE.

With the 1st February comes the start of my excitement and countdown to the Uniko February Release AND Uniko’s 4th Birthday! I’ve kicked things off over HERE with a post that tells you how Uniko came to be, there is also a fun GIVEAWAY too 😉

Anyway, back to SOTW! With another storm (Henry) headed our way here in the NE of the UK and the high winds already battering outside, my thoughts are still focused on Spring! This time I thought of butterflies 🙂 and as I was perusing Pinterest I came across THIS beauty.

IMG_211707

Even though it this card has a collage of details it still has an air of CAS. I was particularly drawn to the trio of tags which make up the card front and the hint of colour from the base card. So, I had a go and this is what I came up with…

2016SOTW19

The only tag die I have in this shape is a small Papertrey Ink one which is 3.5 x 6.5 cm in size, so three combined it still creates a cute little card. I die cut the three tags and adhered them to an offset of SU! Costal Cabana CS . I then trimmed the shape of the tags at the top and punched holes all the way through.

2016SOTW19aAlong with stamping the large butterfly in SU! Going Gray ink I stamped a couple of swirly leaves from Natures Treasures II. The smaller solid butterfly is stamped on white CS and fussy cut out with the smaller outline butterfly stamped onto vellum and fussy cut out. I added a few SU! heart sequins, bakers twine and Wink Of Stella for a scattering of embellishment.

Ok, that’s all from me today, I am still super busy in the Uniko Studio surrounded by a sea of photopolymer! Lots still to do for the February Release and Birthday celebrations. Be sure to keep an eye out on the blogs and social media for all the fun and GIVEAWAYS!

Don’t forget that this set is 20% off this week HERE in store, for this week only. That’s all from me today, I will be back  tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today 🙂

We have two lovely guest designers joining us Anita & Julie B, be sure to stop on by their blogs as well as the Uniko Design Team. We have prizes up for grabs too, all links to the team and their creations along with the prizes can be found HERE on the other Uniko blog!

Again, I went with the optional twist of colour and AGAIN I reached for the hot pink!

UC#23c

I decided to use the new Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below for the layout of my card, which was also the starting point for my choice of stamps, the polaroid frame from Strike a Pose!

FMS Final 196-001

As you can see I rotated the sketch so that the polaroid frame would fit nicely. I need a few cards to send to friends I haven’t been in touch with for a while and so I decided to use the HEY! sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #2 and added a layered small butterfly from English Country Garden Butterflies.

UC#23d

That’s all from me today, be sure to stop on by and enter the challenge HERE, I’d love you to join in 🙂
