Introducing… BIG & BOLD Love & You Are… Sentiments Outlined

Hey & Happy Hump Day!

I’m here to brighten your Wednesday with the first of the January 2020 Release introductions – yay! Today I have two mini clear stamp sets to introduce, BIG & BOLD Love and You Are… Sentiments Outlined. Both these sets are new additions to the popular BIG & BOLD series and the Sentiments Outlined series.

How about some inspiration using these new stamps. First up I got all rainbow inky with BIG & BOLD Love…

Like all of the BIG & BOLD stamp sets, the set features a beautiful bold word, smaller accompanying sentiments and accent image stamps. For this first card I wanted to go for a rainbow theme to really show off the fun striped heart image.

I’ve used a variety of Altenew inks to stamp the hearts before fussy cutting them out and adhering them to the card. I used two depths of foam adhesive to adhere the orange heart and just one to add the lime green heart.

Next I went for a one layer card with a more muted colour palette…

This time I used the graffiti style heart image and used three new Altenew colours Amethyst, Pumpkin Pie and Nimbus. I used all 3 sizes of the smaller hearts, colouring in the largest small heart once stamped with a fine liner. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks II.

The second stamp set I am introducing today is You Are… Sentiments Outlined. I love this style of focal sentiment and having had requests for one of the sentiments contained in the set it was a no brainer to release another set 😉

As you can see from the photo, there are three sentiments in the set. For this first card I have used ‘Happy Heart Day’. This is such a good sentiment for Valentine’s Day to make loved themed cards for friends & family without it being a ‘traditional’ Valentine’s card.

On this design I have stamped the sentiment in black ink and then coloured it in with a black fine liner. In hindsight I wished I had coloured the word heart in red ink. I’ve used the striped heart and the two small solid hearts from BIG & BOLD Love to accent the sentiment to create a super CAS design.

Lastly for today I had to make my ‘signature’ card for this style of sentiment. AND yes, I am a Grey’s Anatomy fan and I have been watching them far to much again and from season one – LOL!

As you can see I have repeat stamped the sentiment to create a fun background. I have coloured all but the top centre sentiment in black fine liner and used an Altenew alcohol marker in Emerald to colour the focal sentiment.

My thinking behind it all is that the coloured sentiment represents the person you are sending the card to, highlighting them from all the ‘people’ around them represented by the black coloured sentiments! That’s just where my creativity comes from sometimes – ha!

With the shape of the sentiment layout, the repeated design left some gaps which I have filled with some stamped accent hearts from BIG & BOLD Love. I also added some clear Nuvo Drops to the coloured sentiment to make it stand out a little more.

That is all the cards I have to share with you today, I will be back tomorrow with more product introductions. All of the new stamps will be available on Saturday 18th January at 9am GMT.

Thank you so much for stopping by today & I do hope you will come back tomorrow.

Introducing… Festive Sentiments

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the October 2017 product release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks and yesterday HERE the Design Team and I introduced Block Party Christmas.

We are back today, and this time we are introducing a new sentiment set called Festive Sentiments. This set is totally dedicated to sentiments, some in a lovely bold handwritten font and the others in a  small skinny uppercase handwritten font. There are loads of mix and match possibilities with the sentiments and so many other Uniko clear stamps they can be used with.

The ideas on how to use this set were free flowing and I really had fun using it! This first card is one of my favourites and I can see myself using this design as one of my mass produceable ones for this Christmas.

I simply stamped the ‘Merry Christmas’ in VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto a panel of kraft card. I then used a Tombow Mono Fine Liner to draw in some swirls from the ends of the sentiments. The stars are stamped and are from the recently released Background Builders: Seeing Stars clear stamp set (back in stock Friday). I used my Polychromo pencils to colour the stars in and added some clear Wink of Stella for a tiny bit of sparkle.

IntroFestiveSenti2a

For my next card I decided to revisit a previous design I made using the Winter Foliage clear stamp seen HERE. This time instead of using a die cut for the word ‘merry’ I used the one from Festive Sentiments and heat embossed it with stardust EP.

IntroFestiveSenti3

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

 It sure was fun to refresh a design and replace elements so that the whole card is stamped using Uniko products (apart from ink).

IntroFestiveSenti3a

Lastly for today I opted to make a one layer card and another that could be easily mass produceable…

IntroFestiveSenti4

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

This card is totally inspired by Lynn from The Mango Boys and Me HERE that I pinned a while back. I loved the bold ombré sentiment and simple foliage embellishments Lynn used and so had a go at recreating this with my sentiments and Winter Foliage.

BIG Thanks!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

The Beans have made it through their first full week of afternoons at school nursery – yay! They both have settled in really well and I have had no tears or tantrums leaving them 🙂 With that I have been settling into my new routine and realising how quick the time goes whilst they are there!

Amongst the chaos of prepping for the October Release, Happy Stampers Festival, Stamp Magic paper craft show, a HUGE restock delivery and flurry of lovely orders (thank you), I managed to squeeze in a little time to stamp!

BIGthanks{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I required another thank you card and with the recent restocks, which included All Occasion Sentiments #6, I was inspired to dust off my set and ink it up. I still had my September Release stamps to hand and decided to pair the BIG thanks with Background Builders: Seeing Stars and the ‘You Rock’ sentiment from Simply Said Blocks.

Using the BIG thanks is perfect for me to join in on one of my many favourite card challenges this week, CASology. This week the cue card HERE is BIG!

Week 267 - Big

I used my favourite trio of colours to stamp the panel of stars and used a black strip of card slightly bigger to mat it with. The BIG thanks is stamped and simply flat coloured with Copic markers and a good layer of clear Wink of Stella applied.

BIGthanks1

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I added foam adhesive to the thanks panel and also the ‘You Rock’ sentiment and added a few Stampin’ Up! star enamels to finish the design. Hopefully this card will reach it’s destination in a few days. It feels good to be finally sending out more of the cards I make 🙂

That’s all from me today, I hope to squeeze in some more creative time this weekend along with other exciting tasks like planning NEW Uniko Classes! I am super excited to have ‘found’ the perfect venue to hold them here in Stockton-On-Tees in the North East of the UK and I am now working on the finer details. So as soon as I have, I will be letting you all know!

Thanks for stopping by today. Hugs

a BIG Thank You & Farewell…

Hey!

It’s another of those posts that I find hard to write and put all my feelings into. It is with sadness that  we at Uniko are saying farewell to another of our FABulous Design Team members Sarah Gray from Funky Fossil Designs.

Sarah has been a member of the Uniko DT since March 2015. For over 2 years I have had the honour and pleasure of having Sarah as part of the Uniko family. It seems longer than 2 years as before Sarah was a member of the DT, she was a regular customer too! Seeing the inspiration and creativity flow when Sarah works her magic with Uniko products is simply amazing.
A BIG thank you will never be enough to resonate my gratitude for all that Sarah has done for me and Uniko, she has truly been an inspiration to me and I am sure to all the Uniko customers old and new alike.

Over HERE is the start of the farewell hop & I have also shared a small selection of my favourite cards Sarah has made  whilst being on the DT. This was SO hard as I love each and every one that Sarah has made!!

So, we couldn’t let Sarah leave without giving her a little farewell send off, so the Design Team & I each made a card to share. This is what I have created…

FarewellSarahG

{Click Photo For a Closer Look}

I opted for one of the Pure Florals: Gerbera flowers, as Sarah’s use of this clear stamp set WOWs me every time and decided to go ‘Rainbow’ style too and give my new Faber-Castell Polychromos another use!

FarewellSarahGa

{Click Photo For a Closer Look}

I’ve kept the design of my card pretty simple, using just the Background Blocks: Horizontal Stripe (vertically). I stamped it in Altenew Limestone ink, to let the colourful Gerbera take centre stage. I was wanting to add the ‘perfect’ thanks sentiment, but I really need to design the ‘perfect’ thank you set 😉 Instead I opted for a sentiment from Originally Organic Additions. I chose this particular sentiment as Sarah is a blessing and a wonderful friend.

I’m going to enter this in to the challenge over at AAA Cards too, as their current challenge HERE is rainbow.

November 2016 Reveal, Release & GIVEAWAY!

Hey & Welcome to the Uniko November 2016 Reveal, Release & GIVEAWAY!

As we’ve quite a few new followers here, (“Hello & Thank you”) I will explain what’s going on! Here at Uniko I *USUALLY* only release new products every other month. This is for a number of reasons, firstly, being an avid paper crafter myself and knowing the current economic climate I know ‘some’ are on a limited budget when it comes to buying new stash, so this way you’re not tempted to splurge too much every month.

The second reason is that it is just me here at Uniko HQ. I currently run this little business single handedly, designing, blogging, demoing, classes, packing. Alongside that I am a full time mum to 2 year old twin boys. So releasing every other month gives me chance to keep my head above water, well…just about! However, with having a break over the Summer with releases I wanted to squeeze one last release in before the end of the year!

So I am back today, with the help of the awesome design team to introduce you to the three clear stamp sets available to purchase HERE now!

If you missed any of the product introductions, you can catch up HERE and HERE.

Let’s have a look at the three clear stamp sets…

First up is Christmas Pop, this is a FUN geometric styled Christmas Tree building stamp set. Along with the obvious Christmas theme it is also suitable for other occasions and stylised creations.

Christmas Pop £9 / £9.95 Copyright Uniko Ltd 2016 www.uniko.co.uk

Next we have a mini Christmas Sentiment clear stamp set called Most Wonderful. This set contains two full mixed font sentiments and then a multitude of mix font sentiment building stamps.

Most Wonderful £4 / £4.95 Copyright Uniko Ltd 2016 www.uniko.co.uk

Lastly but by no means least we have a fun addition to the ‘Rustic’ collection! This fun mini set has so many possibilities on its own, but pair it with sentiments and images from Rustic Christmas and Background Builders: Vines and Vines Winter Additions for even MORE possibilities!

Rustic Wreath £4 / £4.95 Copyright Uniko Ltd 2016 www.uniko.co.uk

Now I have done all the formal introductions, how about some more cards using these sets to inspire you…

Nov16ReleaseDay1

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

First up I have used Christmas Pop in a non Christmas way. This set contains some fun geometric triangles and I couldn’t resit using them to create a funky background for a birthday card.

Nov16ReleaseDay1a

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

I used two of the triangles to create my BG and then I coloured sections of the decreasing triangle one using my Stampin’ Up! bright marker collection. I then stamped a sentiment from Simply Said Birthday onto a banner die cut (Project Life) and adhered it to the card using foam adhesive.

Next I decided to go Christmassy, I really need to build up my stash of Christmas cards ready to send out 😉 This time I opted for a reasonably quick CAS card using the outline tree and some Papertrey Ink Bitty Dot Designer Paper.

Nov16ReleaseDay2

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

After fussy cutting the Christmas Trees, which too the longest! I stacked/layered them one on top of the other leaving a small border to create taller elongated tree. The sentiment is from Most Wonderful and I finished the card off with a few sparkly star embellishments.

Nov16ReleaseDay2a

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

My last card for today uses Rustic Wreath. This time I used the wreath to make a garland along the edge of my card. I embellished the garland with a couple of the smaller stamps from the set to fill it out and add interest.

Nov16ReleaseDay3

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

I then stamped the ‘deck the halls’ sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink, to tie in with the berry sprig stamped in the garland. To finish the card off I stamped a cluster of the smaller images from the set to embellish the sentiment as it needed a little something to balance the card out.

That’s all I have to share with you, but we also have an awesome Design Team Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY! Simply hop along the links below and be sure to leave a comment along the way for your chance to WIN the ENTIRE release! Introducing…Christmas Pop and Most Wonderful

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the November product release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks at the 3 clear stamp sets being released and NOW it is time for the Design Team and I to introduce them to you.

Today we are introducing two clear stamp sets called Christmas Pop and Most Wonderful. Both these clear stamp sets can be used individually, but they work perfectly together too 😉

My first card uses just Christmas Pop and the sentiment is from Simply Said Christmas…

IntroChristmasPop2

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

The stamps contained in the set have a multitude of mix and match options. On my card I have used two of the main images from the set. The outline tree and the elongated triangle with horizontal lines. I used my Stampin’ Up! Bright Markers to selectively colour the horizontal lines in a rainbow before stamping and fussy cutting it out.

IntroChristmasPop2a

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

The routine tree is stamped onto a white card layer and the fussy cut tree adhered on top using foam adhesive. I added a good smothering of clear Wink Of Stella to the tree and added a selection of Stampin’ Up! enamel dots to finish the card off.

Next I have combined Christmas Pop with one of the complete ready to stamp sentiments from Most Wonderful…

IntroChristmasPop1

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

I chose to use 3 of the main clear stamps from Christmas Pop and 2 of the accent stamps from the set along with a funky Christmas colour scheme I am seeing a lot at the moment. Shades of Teal/Aqua with Lime Green.

IntroChristmasPop1a

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

The outline tree stamp I used on my first card is embellished with the 2 accent stamps. It’s hard to see in the photo, but I added a good smothering to the trees on this card too! This time I embellished with pearls from The Hobby House.

Ok, that’s all I have to share with you today, but be sure to hop along the Design Team Blogs (links below) for even more inspiration. I know for a fact you won’t be disappointed, the team have created amazing projects showcasing how this set can be used…

Stamp Of The Week – Beautiful Blooms I

Hey!

Happy Monday and Happy Halloween to those who celebrate. This week I have opted for a seasonal change and I have gone for a floral set to revisit. This week I am dusting off Beautiful Blooms I and the coordinating Beautiful Blooms I Designer Dies

BeautiflBloomsIPP

BeautifulBloomsIDD

Floral clear stamps are good all year round and they can also be prettied up to go with the seasons, as I will hopefully show you this week 😉 When they have a set of dies to match, there are even more possibilities!

Here is what I came up with for today…

2016SOTW97
{click photo for a closer look}

On my card I have used the smallest of the blooms and the coordinating die. I was inspired by the pretty photo inspiration over a Fusion Card Challenge seen HERE and below, soft and subtle are the key words.

New Banner-017

I was also inspired to create a celebration card. “Less is More” are celebrating a BIG milestone this week, 300 challenges HERE. The theme this week is to create a celebratory CAS card.

I started by die cutting the bloom and then temporarily adhering the panel to my card base, so I could stamp through the die cut and have perfect positioning. The MISTI is on my Christmas wish list and I am dropping HUGE hints to Santa that I could *really* do with this tool now 😉

2016SOTW97a{click photo for a closer look}

Down the edge of my panel I adhered some SU! Washi tape, I can’t quite remember what collection it came from (sorry) the colour is either Pool Party or Mint Macaron. The sentiment is from Simply Said and stamped in Going Grey ink and I added a few rhinestones to finish the card off.

That’s all I have to share today, my mojo is a little slow as the beans decided to do some climbing antics at nap time and therefore didn’t nap. Mummy therefore didn’t get her usual lunchtime R&R and is feeling a little tired. I will however be back tomorrow with more using this set.

This week I am giving you the opportunity to purchase both the Beautiful Blooms I clear stamp set and Designer Dies in a bundle at 15% off HERE for this week only.

Until tomorrow, thanks for stopping by 🙂

Introducing… Marvellous Mehndi and Simply Said II

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the Sept/Oct product  release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks at the 5 clear stamp sets being released and NOW it is time for the Design Team and I to introduce them to you.

Today we are introducing you to two clear stamp sets called Marvellous Mehndi and Simply Said II. Marvellous Mehndi is my modern approach to the Mehndi / Henna style with a hint of paisley too. It features a large focal mandala stamp and a variety of smaller stamps to create your own patterns. Simply Said II is an additional/follow on clear stamp set from Simply Said. It features sentiment stamps in the same font and size, giving you even more occasions, sentiment combinations and possibilities!

How about some eye candy…

IntroMmehndi2

The largest mandala stamp contained in the set has quite a bit of detail and is awesome for those who love to colour and colouring is VERY trendy right now. I have shown a sample HERE on the Uniko blogspot blog of how it can be coloured simply.

However, it also looks fabulous stamped in coloured inks with no colouring for those who are not big on that! As you can see I reached for my favourite trio of ink colours and paired them with SU! Smokey Slate 😉 Just partially stamping the image on two raised panels of white CS and the lower with a sentiment from Simply Said II adhered flat to the card.

IntroMmehndi2a

Ok, that’s all I have to share with you here, but hop along the Design Team Blog links below for even more inspiration. I know for a fact you won’t be disappointed, the team have created amazing projects showcasing how this set can be used…

However, the Design Team and I will be back tomorrow with the last two more product introductions and lots more inspiration!
