Have YOU joined us yet?

I’m here today to remind you that there is still time to join in on the current Uniko Challenge HERE. This fortnight we have another easy challenge for you…

‘Black & White with an optional twist – a splash of colour

We have two lovely guest designers joining us Anita & Julie B, be sure to stop on by their blogs as well as the Uniko Design Team. We have prizes up for grabs too, all links to the team and their creations along with the prizes can be found HERE on the other Uniko blog!

Again, I went with the optional twist of colour and AGAIN I reached for the hot pink!

I decided to use the new Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below for the layout of my card, which was also the starting point for my choice of stamps, the polaroid frame from Strike a Pose!

FMS Final 196-001

As you can see I rotated the sketch so that the polaroid frame would fit nicely. I need a few cards to send to friends I haven’t been in touch with for a while and so I decided to use the HEY! sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #2 and added a layered small butterfly from English Country Garden Butterflies.

That’s all from me today, be sure to stop on by and enter the challenge HERE, I’d love you to join in ūüôā

Uniko Challenge #23

Today a new challenge starts over HERE on the Uniko Blog. This month we have another fun challenge for you to try with another optional twist too.

¬†Black & White with an optional twist –¬†splash of colour
You can use any stamps/products to enter the challenge, but we do LOVE to see you use your Uniko goodies and if you do there is an extra chance to win a prize!
Along with the Design Team inspiration, this fortnight we have 2 lovely an awesomely talented Guest Designers joining us, be sure to stop on by their blogs and have a look around at their creations. You won’t be disappointed, I know that for sure.

I went for a √ľber CAS card as I was limited on time to create today…

I can’t seem to stop using the new Pure Florals: Cosmos! I don’t think it has left my acrylic block since I was making samples for the release! I opted for the ‘splash’ of colour by stamping the sentiment from Simply Said Birthday in WPlus 9 Cranberry Crush ink.

I used the new CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card. I decided to round the lower left corners on both the stamped panel and the base card for an added bit of interest.

I added a small bit of glitter to the centre of the flowers for a bit of sparkle and a little more interest along with adhering the panel using foam adhesive.

Ok, that’s all from me today, be sure to stop by the blog HERE to see all the inspiration and link up your creations. There are prizes to be had too!

Still TIME to join in at TIME OUT Challenges

There is still TIME to join in on the challenge over at TIME OUT Challenges & this fortnight we have a theme challenge with an optional twist & there is a prize up for grabs too for the winner of this challenge!

¬†The theme this time is…
Nature with the optional twist of animals (butterflies & insects can be used)
This time I decided not to twist like my card¬†HERE, instead I decided to use the recently released Pure Florals: Cosmos to create a card for my bestie Kerry as it is her birthday today…¬†HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kerry!

I decided to use a few crafting items that I haven’t used yet, firstly my new purchase of 4 Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. I bought my favourite trio of colours along with a green and I have to say I am really pleased with my purchase. I’ve not added water to the for this card, I simply did flat colouring and the results are really nice.

I also used my SU! Chalk Talk dies which I have had for a while now. I used the large tag die in the collection to die cut a negative frame into my CS layer and after stamping my partial sentiment from the Pure Florals: Cosmos set I foam mounted it onto my card base. The flowers are fussy cut out and mounted with foam adhesive too.

The photo above shows the sparkle of Wink of Stella I added to the flowers after colouring them. Ok, that’s all from me today but be sure to stop by the guest designer joining us at TIME OUT Challenges, Barb, be sure to stop by Barb’s blog¬†HERE¬†to see how she was inspired by the photo and of course the FABulous¬†TIME OUT Challenges¬†Design Team.

Until my next post, thank you for stopping by today ūüôā

Introducing…Home Sweet Home

Thank you for all your lovely comments and excitement about the new release, it means so much to know that people like the look of things I have designed and I truly appreciate your support ūüôā

¬†So the DT and I are back today to introduce you to the second set being released this month. Here is the little teaser I shared a few days ago as a little reminder…

¬†Well, there are no real surprises with the theme of this set, so I will get straight to my sample for today…

When I saw the new Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below I knew it would be a perfect layout to use for this set.

I did adapt the sketch slightly by mirroring the focal point and the string bow so that the stamped sentiment would reflect the sketch better. I also used the current¬†Colour Me…!¬†challenge colours seen¬†HERE¬†and below for my card. Quite an unusual colour combo, but it worked well. I used the Bermuda Bay to stamp the house and the Marina Mist for the rounded square mat layer, which I sponged clouds onto. I did this by creating a small hand-drawn ¬†mask and sponging white ink through.

Here is a close up of my sample, I raised the fussy cut house up on foam adhesive to add a little dimension.

Again I know the DT have showcased this set wonderfully, so be sure to stop on by their blogs have a look and leave them some love ūüôā

Have YOU joined in yet?

I’m popping by today to remind you that there is still time to join in on the current Uniko Challenge HERE.

This fortnight it is a REALLY easy one for you, but with an optional twist to challenge yourself that little further if you wish.

Anything Goes with an optional twist of a Masculine Card

You can use any stamps you own to create your card/project, but I do love to see you use your Uniko goodies and there are prizes of course, listed at the end of my post along with other details.

I had my Background Builders: Chevrons out on the desk from my last card & post HERE, which was for the current TIME OUT Challenges challenge. It’s a perfect set for making a masculine card, as are all geometrics. So, with the help of a couple of other challenges I created this card…

I started out by using the new CAS – Colours and Sketches layout seen HERE and below for the layout of my card. I then sought the help of the current colours over at ColourQ seen HERE and below.

sketch 130

I don’t often reach for a coloured card base, but as I don’t have Soft Sky in an ink pad I decided to use that colour as the base. I also felt that the other 3 colours went well stamped together in a trio of chevrons. I have a thing for slicing through my panels at the moment, it’s a current trend within paper crafting at the moment.

Doing this to my stamped panel also coincides with the sketch where the ribbon would be. I added a small amount of glitter and a sentiment from Simply Said Birthday to finish the panel off.

This fortnight we also have some lovely talented Guest Designers joining us ūüôā Anita from¬†My Papercraft World¬†and Melissa from¬†HoneyBeeLane.

For all the info, link up and more inspiration from the team, be sure to pop on over HERE to the Uniko Blog. Email entries are welcome if you do not have a blog or online gallery. Just send me a photo of your card/project to

Need a little more to get that mojo flowing?! How about some prizes…

The DT will also choose a top 3 who will get 50 Loyalty Reward Points added to their customer account.

We will do a random draw for those who used a Uniko stamp and this winner will get 150 Loyalty Reward Points added to their customer account.

We will do a random draw for those who twist with us (masculine card) and they will receive 100 Loyalty Reward Points added to their customer account.

This challenge runs for 2 weeks, closing on July 3rd 8am BST.

That’s all from me today, thank you for sopping by & be sure to link up your entry¬†HERE.

TIME OUT Challenges – Home Sweet Home

How on earth did we get to Thursday?! The days are just zooming by for me at the moment as I juggle work and life in general. Plus the beans are keeping me on my toes as Josh has finally learnt to crawl and is into EVERYTHING! Ben isn’t crawling, but he can sure get where he wants to. Hence my lateness with todays post.

I’m here to share with you my card for the new challenge starting today at TIME OUT Challenges. This fortnight it is a Home Sweet Home challenge inspired by this photo…

I had so many ideas initially when I first saw this photo, but when it came to making the card none of my ideas worked, but this is how I was inspired…

I started by using the main colours in the photo and ‘trying’ to replicate the tile effect using ¬†a couple of the small stamps from Background Builders: Chevrons. The ‘Hello’ is from All Occasion Sentiments #1.

This fortnight we have a lovely guest designer joining us, Sue, be sure to stop by Sue’s blog¬†HERE¬†to see how she was inspired by the photo and of course the FABulous¬†TIME OUT Challenges¬†Design Team.

For all the info and to link up your challenge be sure to stop by the¬†TIME OUT Challenges¬†blog. I look forward to seeing your creations ūüôā I’ll be back again later in the week with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today.

NEW Website & a card

So, finally the NEW and improved Uniko website is up and running (YAY!) I still have products to add (dies and digital stuff), and I plan on adding more gallery photos. But the clear stamps are all up on there and the NEW loyalty points reward system is working too!

Here is a little overview of the loyalty rewards points system…

How it works:

Register for a new account on the new website. You will receive 25 points for opening an account, you only need to create an account once.

For every £1 you spend (not including postage costs) you will receive 1 point.

Once you have accumulated 50 points this will be worth £1 off a future purchase. Or you can save your points up to purchase a product.

  • ¬£4.95 set requires 247 points
  • ¬£9.95 set requires 497 points
  • ¬£15.95 set requires 797 points

Points can be earned through social media, such as liking a product on Facebook, Tweeting & Google+

Points can be earned for referring a friend to Uniko

Points will be added to Uniko customer accounts (once created by the customer) who have ordered on the old website from February 11th 2015 onwards.

Points will not be earned when purchasing gift certificates.

Points earned while placing an order cannot be used on that order, they will be added to your account on order completion.

If you are not logged into your account when placing an order, you will not receive points on that order.

Uniko has the right to ban or restrict account holders from earning or redeeming points if Uniko deems the user/account holder to be abusing the system.

So with all the new changes and adding the system, unfortunately I haven’t been able to ‘bulk’ transfer across customer accounts. As this could be an inconvenience to you or if you have problems setting up a new account I am able to set up accounts individually. You can login or register an account¬†HERE.

If you require me to set your account up, simply email me at with a USERNAME you would like to use (this cannot be changed once the account is set up) and an EMAIL address you want associated with the account.

If you have ordered from Uniko over the past 2 weeks you will have noticed I have changed the stamp set inlays to co-ordinate with our new fresh look. I will be providing a downloadable file containing ALL the new inlays for you to be able to print at home if you would like all your Uniko clear stamps to look the same. Especially if you are a little OCD like me ūüėČ This will be available in the next week or so.

Anyway, I think that is all I have to share for now about the website ūüėČ be sure to have a look about.

I do have a card to share too…

This is one of the cards the class made at The Paperlane on saturday, we did some die cutting techniques mixed with ‘spotlight’ stamping. This card was also inspired and a CASE of¬†THIS¬†card by DT member Sarah P.

I decided to use turquoise, instead of the gold like on Sarah’s card and change the orientation and die cut mounted layer. Below is a close up of the detail…

I have another 2 classes coming up on July 11th at The Paperlane, which is also Uniko Release Day. We will be using the new products in the class, so if you fancy trying the sets out before you by be sure to secure your place in the class by emailing Caz,

Ok, that’s all from me today, I had best go and get some work done whilst the beans are still napping! Thanks for stopping by today ūüôā
