Introducing… Background Blocks Falling Snowflakes

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the October 2017 product release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks and we are now onto day 3 of the product introductions. You can catch up HERE and HERE with day 1 and 2.

Today the Design Team and I are introducing the next stamp in the Background Blocks series, called Falling Snowflakes. If you’ve been a long time follower, you will know that I love, love LOVE snowflakes 🙂 so this stamp just had to be done!

Plus I am reintroducing the Designer Dies Snowflake Trio – YAY! This set of dies was originally launched back in October 2013 and due to various reasons that I won’t bore you with, I scaled back on restocking dies. Anyway, I am super duper pleased to have this set back in and available to purchase again with the October Release!!

So, how about some inspiration using these products…

This card shows the design in it’s entirety, a lovely cascade of simple snowflakes! Here I have embossed them in white onto Stampin’ Up! Night Of Navy card along with an embossed sentiment from BIG & BOLD Snow. I added a few baby blue tiny rhinestone for a little sparkle too!

I used my MISTI to position both the sentiment and the background block, as I knew I would want to do another card using this layout and this is how…

I simply reversed the colours and this time added a medium snowflake from the Designer Die Snowflake Trio, which is smothered in Stampin’ Up! glitter!

Hopefully you can see the sparkle in the photo above, it sure makes my heart happy to see sparkly Uniko snowflakes again!

Have You Joined In?

Hey & Happy Friday!

I’m here today with the Design Team and our Guest Designer to remind you that there is still time to join in on this month’s Uniko challenge. Here in the northern hemisphere the season is changing and Autumn (Fall) is approaching. So, it seemed appropriate to make it this months inspiration.

Don’t you just love the glorious Autumn/Fall colours? What could be more inspiring than their beauty? So we would love to see all your wonderful autumnal creations popping up in our gallery. And if you’d like to twist with us and add Halloween into your creativity that would be fabulous too!

Challenge Guidelines:

* You can use any products/stamps to enter the challenge, but we do LOVE to see you use your Uniko products. Plus, there is an extra chance to win a prize if you do 😉

* Email entries welcome, just email a photo of your card to bev@uniko.co.uk and I will add it to the Uniko Flickr gallery and link up!

* Share the challenge graphic in your post and link back to the challenge if possible 😉

This month we have been lucky enough to have the awesome Vijaylaxmi joining us as a Guest Designer. Go visit her amazing blog and be totally inspired. She’s created a wonderful inspiration card for you using Uniko stamps. Love the warm glow she’s achieved.

I made this card at the same time as my first Uniko Challenge #43 card, as I already had the ombré stripes stamped and I was loving the Beautiful Blooms III stamped in these Autumn colours 😉

I used my Altenew inks for all my stamping and I can’t wait to get my hands on some more at Stamp Magic in Doncaster on Sunday (hopefully)! They really do ink nicely AND they take the hard work out of matching shades for layered stamping.

I’ve added some dimension with the flowers using two depths of foam adhesive and added some clear Wink Of Stella to just the detail on the blooms. The sentiment is from the recently released Simply Said Blocks and I added some White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops.

Introducing… Festive Sentiments

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the October 2017 product release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks and yesterday HERE the Design Team and I introduced Block Party Christmas.

We are back today, and this time we are introducing a new sentiment set called Festive Sentiments. This set is totally dedicated to sentiments, some in a lovely bold handwritten font and the others in a small skinny uppercase handwritten font. There are loads of mix and match possibilities with the sentiments and so many other Uniko clear stamps they can be used with.

The ideas on how to use this set were free flowing and I really had fun using it! This first card is one of my favourites and I can see myself using this design as one of my mass produceable ones for this Christmas.

I simply stamped the ‘Merry Christmas’ in VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto a panel of kraft card. I then used a Tombow Mono Fine Liner to draw in some swirls from the ends of the sentiments. The stars are stamped and are from the recently released Background Builders: Seeing Stars clear stamp set (back in stock Friday). I used my Polychromo pencils to colour the stars in and added some clear Wink of Stella for a tiny bit of sparkle.

For my next card I decided to revisit a previous design I made using the Winter Foliage clear stamp seen HERE. This time instead of using a die cut for the word ‘merry’ I used the one from Festive Sentiments and heat embossed it with stardust EP.

It sure was fun to refresh a design and replace elements so that the whole card is stamped using Uniko products (apart from ink).

Lastly for today I opted to make a one layer card and another that could be easily mass produceable…

This card is totally inspired by Lynn from The Mango Boys and Me HERE that I pinned a while back. I loved the bold ombré sentiment and simple foliage embellishments Lynn used and so had a go at recreating this with my sentiments and Winter Foliage.

Introducing… Block Party Christmas

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the October 2017 product release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks at the 5 clear stamp sets being released and NOW it is time for the Design Team and I to introduce them to you.

Today, myself and my AWESOME Design Team are introducing the next in the Block Party series, Block Party Christmas.

Just like Block Party Birthday, the stamp is one BIG block, measuring 9.5 x 13 cm and it is a style of Subway Art. You might recognise some images from previously released and now retired clear stamp sets.

I kept my first card here really simple and hopefully letting the stamp take centre stage?! I simply stamped (a whole bunch) the image in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and set it aside to dry. I then decided to give my new trio of Distress Oxide inks and outing and created a simple ink blended background. To finish the card off I went and added glitter to most of the open images/words using my Quickie glue pen and Stampin’ Up glitter. I also added some small dots to the snowflakes for good measure 😉

For my last card today (which I nearly didn’t share as it isn’t my best make), I decided to do some heat embossing…

Again I used my MISTI tool to stamp the image in VersaMark ink and then heat embossed the image in Gold EP. I then trimmed the image to use just a small section of the block.

In hindsight I wish that I had kept it at that, but I decided to mess on and die cut a small Designer Die Snowflake (more details on these on Monday, unless you’ve been following me on Instagram/Facebook) and added some gold heat embossing to that too!

Uniko Sponsors Passion For ProMarkers!

Hello again!

I did say it was a busy day here at Uniko HQ and I am back again to let you know that Uniko is super happy to be sponsoring another challenge in blog land… Passion For ProMarkers!

This week HERE at Passion For ProMarkers they want to see ’embossing’ on your project. It can be any type of project and any technique of embossing, as long as you use some kind of Windsor & Newton (formally Letraset) product to colour the project.

So I challenged myself to play along and as I don’t have many ProMarkers, just the Neon collection, I opted for a ‘Happy’ card…

It feels like and age since I used Decorative Doilies The Hands Of Time and the thought of colouring one of my favourite doilies neon made me happy. I started out by stamping the doily in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and quickly adding Stampin’ Up! black EP. This helped me to keep the colour inside the lines!

The ‘Happy’ sentiment is also heat embossed, fussy cut out and adhered using foam adhesive. You are getting another peek at a October 2017 Release clear stamp set 😉

Uniko Sponsors CASology!

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I do hope you are having a good week so far? It is a busy one here at Uniko HQ as we are in full swing with the October 2017 Release. We have had all the clear stamp set sneak peeks and I have been sharing some other product peeks over on Instagram and Facebook! There is also a peek at a new die collection in this post 😉

Anyway, along with all the festivities, Uniko is super duper happy to be sponsoring one of my favourite challenges this week, CASology.

This week the cue word over at CASology HERE is ‘ODD’…

I found this a little hard a first, but I then got to thinking of odd numbers and this card came about…

I chose an ‘odd’ number of flowers and my favourite number! I dusted of Flower Power #1 clear stamps and paired them with the NEW matching Flower Power Designer Dies. Yep, another NEW set of coordinating dies 🙂

The layout of my card is loosely based on this weeks CAS Colours & Sketches sketch seen HERE and below. I’ve my Design Team card over HERE too, if you want some more inspiration today!

To make my card a little more ‘odd’ I decided to use both positive and negative die cutting for the flower trio…

October 2017 Sneak Peeks Day 4
