Words of Encouragement

Hello & Happy Weekend.

It’s been a pretty gloomy, rainy and windy day here. With a hint of Autumn in the air, I wanted to create something with some bright colours and use some simple words of encouragement.

I had a good look through my stash and I decided to use Background Blocks Doodle Flower. This is such a fun stamp to add pops of bright colours.

I kept my card design really simple, allowing the block of pattern to take centre stage. I stamped the block in Catherine Pooler Midnight ink and coloured with some bright Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends.

The three small sentiments are from Simply Said Blocks and I stamped them onto some small scraps of coloured card to tie in all the colours and to make the sentiments pop a little more against the background.

A pretty quick card to make, I didn’t time myself, but it must have taken me less than 20 minutes. So I thought I would join in on the fun over at AAA Cards with their current challenge HERE, Made in Minutes.

Before I go today, I thought I would share another quick card using *some* of the crafty stash I have purchased this year!¬†Even though I design my own products, I like to support other small business and I simply can’t resist adding other awesome companies products to my stash and they often include stamps!

Like these fabulous Chubby Unicorns from Funky Fossil Designs!

I don’t normally go for cute stuff, but these were just the right amount ūüėČ I have paired the stamped unicorn with the Rainbow & Clouds Dies from ‘Lil Inker. The sentiment is a Uniko one, from Simply Said Blocks II.

That’s all from me today, I hope I have added a little cheer to your day.

Thank you for stopping by :)

Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies – woohoo! I’ve wanted these dies for AGES and I got them last week in time for the Uniko February & 5th Birthday Release celebrations.

I also decided to have a ‘play’ and joined in the new CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge seen HERE and below, a fun sketch with lots of possibilities.

I also gave my Zigs a whirl, using 2 shades of pink and a blush colour to blend in from the top and bottom of the die cut circle. The ‘you’ die is also from Stampin’ Up! and I added a good smothering of clear Wink Of Stella.

I decided to combine my Guest Designer card with my Stamp Of The Week card. This week I have decided to dust off¬†Natures Treasures II¬†as this weeks SOTW…

NaturesTreasuresIIPP copy

I was going to be creative and dust off my sewing machine to add some stitching, but time got the better of me and my machine is buried under a pile of half started sewing projects ūüėČ

So instead I decided to opt for the faux stitching effect…

2016SOTW80

I used one of my favourite Mama Elephant edging dies to cut a white scalloped strip that has a faux stitch effect.

I adhered the strip near to the bottom of my card before stamping the leaves, flowers and swirls. All the supplies I have used are listed below, be sure to pop on over HERE to see what the AAA Cards Design Team have made to inspire you and for all the challenge details. I hope to see you in the gallery!

AND before I go I have a LIMITED time only SALE!
