January Restocks with a Throwback Thursday thrown in!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I thought I would pop by and let you know about a few clear stamp restocks that are currently available on backorder and will (with all being well) land in the studio on Tuesday 12th January.

Let’s have a look and see what’s been top of the restock request list…

Mid Century Modern Florals Clear Stamp Set

The Mid Century Modern range of clear stamp sets continue to be popular and highly requested. They are one of my favourites and it makes me happy to see Mid Century Modern Florals back next to the background blocks in this range lining the shelves again in the studio.

I’ve another floral in the restocks this month and another in the modern florals, Uniko Style.

Uniko Style Clear Stamp Set

This clear stamp set looks a little daunting and uninspiring from the product picture. But when you stamp, layer the flowers and start creating patterns it really comes to life.

Marvellous Mehndi has been out of stock for a while now, apologies to those who have been waiting patiently for it. Having to close during lockdown 1 put quite a delay on everything really and I just about feel as though I am catching up!

Looking back through the gallery on the website I was surprised to see that it was October 2016 when this clear stamp set was launched. How time flies, but still patterns and fun designs like this remain timeless.

With Uniko’s 9th Birthday coming up next month I wanted to get this popular stamp back in stock, Block Party Birthday.

This all in one stamp makes making birthday cards a breeze! Use it as a backdrop, the main focus or even use sections of the design to accentuate other birthday elements.

Lastly and by no means least for this batch of restocks we have the ever popular Background Blocks Wonky Stripes.

Such a fun and eye catching pattern to use as a backdrop for all kinds of elements and occasions. I personally love geometric style stamps like this for masculine cards. But it looks pretty awesome with florals too 😉

Unfortunately that is all the clear stamp set restocks at the moment. I am planning on some more towards the end of January / beginning of February. So if there is something you’ve been waiting for, please leave a comment or send me an email and I will do my best to add that to the HOT list!

Happy New Year!

Hello & Happy 2021!

I hope you all had fun welcoming in the New Year, although it may have been different from other years. I won’t waffle on too much over here, as I did that on this post HERE just now – haha!

I did however want to pop in here and share another Happy New Year card I made today 🙂

Again, I was inspired by Pantone’s colours of 2021, yellow and grey. So I used these as my colour combo.

The layout is similar to another card I have made in the past using Balloon Bash. As I already had Background Builders Arts Decoratifs on my desk I used that down the side of my card. The sentiment is from BIG & BOLD Happy.

See Ya 2020!

 Happy New Years Eve!

My apologies for my disappearance just before & over Christmas. I simply took on too much and got totally overwhelmed before Christmas with how much I needed to get done and then Christmas Day came & went! I have since been enjoying some much needed downtime with The Beans & my husband.

This is a little snapshot of our Christmas Day!

I hope you all had a lovely day even though it may have looked different this year under the circumstances. 


As 2020 draws to a close, one of the strangest and another of the hardest years in my 41 years of life, I am looking not to what was bad or hard, but to all that I am grateful for.

 to have a roof over my head

Thank you for your continued support & custom at Uniko and sticking with me during one of the toughest years. This card is for YOU ALL.

Today after clearing a walk way and an area on my desk, I made time for me in the studio to create this simple one layer thank you card. Apart from the smaller thank you stamps and one which is on the retired shelf, I think I *need* to design some larger thank you sentiment stamps 😉

Though having Alphabet Outlined is proving to be very useful to spell out larger words, which is what I did for todays card. I paired it with the flower from You Are, Yes You and simply coloured with Copic Markers.
That’s all my creativity I have to share with you today, but before I go and maybe pour myself a large glass of gin, I have a little discount code for you to use on the Uniko website.

Apologies for being ‘fashionably’ late to the party this year, yesterday evening did not go as plan with yet another kitchen appliance giving up on me, slap bang on tea time – the oven! Luckily, it was just hubby and I to feed, but we didn’t end up eating till around 7pm and then I was too tired to get creative! Only bonus is (fingers crossed) I will get a shiny new oven & hob next week in time for Christmas 🙂

Anyway, here’s what I made this morning to share with you…

I decided to ink up Cracking Christmas again as I am determined to have a Cracking Christmas this year! This time I used the little bows that come in the set to decorated my crackers.

I’ve also used one of the Stencil – Explosion! masks to create the inked background with the white explosion. This adds a whole lot more fun and options to this stencil design.

Super simple from me today, but another Christmas card made & soon to be on it’s way to someone.

Countdown to Christmas Day 4 – Festive Friday!

Hey!

Welcome to Day 4 of Uniko’s Countdown to Christmas 🙂

I am over here today, because we have our Uniko Challenge #62 Reminder post up on the Uniko blogspot blog HERE. So be sure to have a look at all the FAB inspiration from the Brand Ambassadors and our Guest Designer this month, Sathya.

I have another festive card to share with you today using the popular Stencil, Winter Foliage paired with another of the Christmas Wishes sentiments.

It’s been a while since I inked up this stencil, so it was lovely to use it again. I started by using Altenew Hunter Green ink and then selectively went over areas with Evergreen & Espresso.

I then used an old Papertrey Ink die to die cut my window to stamp the sentiment. I’ve also added some of my favourite Autumn Red Nuvo Drops to the berries to make them pop!

This first peek is of a Pop Art inspired clear stamp set with a Christmas twist. Those who are long time Uniko fans might recognise the style from Explosion! and Explosion! Additions clear stamp sets and Designer Dies.

My next peek is of the first in a NEW series of ‘framed’ stamps. This set has an Originally Organic style to it, but as you can see it’s beautifully festive. 

Lastly for the FESTIVE clear stamps I have an awesome new sentiment set for you…

I’ve included ‘complete’ sentiments perfect for inside & outside of your Christmas cards, along with some ‘mix & match’ sentiments. Excited to show you these paired with some Uniko Christmas firm favourites!

As much as a do love a digital stamp, sometimes you are a little limited in the techniques you can use with them. So I am super excited to introduce another stamp to the Block Party series for all you coffee lovers out there. Block Party Coffee Love. This pairs beautifully with the previously released I LOVE Coffee clear stamp set.


AND that’s not all! I have a couple of NEW stencil designs too…

This first stencil design will add even MORE possibilities to the first sneak peek I shared today AND to the previously released Explosion! and Explosion! Additions clear stamps!

Uniko Challenge #62 – ‘Tis The Season + Optional Twist Sparkle

 Hey!

Welcome to the November/December 2020 Uniko Challenge.


The theme for this challenge will come as no surprise – well ’tis the season after all! And if you’re fed up with this dreary year then why not add in a little sparkle to your card too.

We are delighted to welcome Sathya as our Guest Designer and she had created this adorable card to make you smile.

Have you spotted the Uniko sentiment? It’s always fabulous to see Uniko goodies mixing so well with other products. It woud be lovely if you had time to pop over to Sathya’s blog and leave her a super comment – HERE.

I’m super excited for Christmas and as always ‘Dreaming of a White Christmas!’ So, it might be no surprise to you all that I’ve created a snowflake card – haha!

And a rainbow snowflake too! I just love the Concord & 9th inks I bought last month (I think), the colours are dreamy and they ink and stamp beautifully.

Anyway, I decided to dust off the snowflake in BIG & BOLD Snow for my card today and paired it with the ‘Let it Snow’ sentiment from Simply Said Blocks Christmas.

I’ve added a tiny bit of sparkle to each of the snowflake centres using Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard.

August 2018 Reveal, Release, Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Woohoo!

Finally the day has arrived and the August 2018 Release is NOW available to purchase HERE on the website. We have our traditional Reveal, Release, Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY! Hopefully you have hoped on over from the start of the hop HERE.

I managed to squeeze in a little more creative time in between admin jobs and created a ‘twofer’ using the new Background Builders: Happy Hexagons clear stamp set…

First up is this funky design!

I used one of the larger single hexagons to create this background. I didn’t use my stamping tool this time, I just eyeballed it and there is no particular sequence, it is totally random. I then used my Stampin’ Up! markers in bright colours to create the stripes.

I trimmed and adhered the panel to some black card before adhering to my white card base. The ‘hello’ sentiment is from BIG & BOLD Hello, stamped, embossed in white & fussy cut out. I really *need* some dies to match these BIG & BOLD sentiments 😉
Next, I went for another brightly stamped masculine design using the hexagons, but with a softer overall feel to the card…

I used my favourite Altenew ink colours to again stamp the larger single hexagons, just by eyeballing it. I layered the panel with some Basic Grey card and added the ‘You Rock’ sentiment from Simply Said Blocks.

Who doesn’t LOVE rainbows?!

You can use any products/stamps to enter the challenge, but we do LOVE to see you use your Uniko products.

We have an awesome Guest Designer for this months challenge, Hannelie from Desert Diva. Hannelie was also the winner from the Uniko Challenge #35 and she has created another stunner to inspire you…

This is what I came up with…

As I am revisiting Rustic Christmas this week as Stamp Of The Week, I thought I’d use it for my challenge reminder too 😉

The tiny baubles in this set are perfect for colourful Christmas cards. To create this card I simply traced round a circle die for a template, stamped the sentiment and then randomly stamped the baubles in a variety of bright and cheerful Stampin’ Up! inks.

After I had finished stamping, I went over the baubles with my clear Wink of Stella pen for a little subtle sparkle. That’s all from me today, but be sure to pop on over HERE to see what the Uniko Design Team have created to inspire you. The link up for the challenge can also be found there.

June 2016 Release Sneak Peeks

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the June product  release are well under way!

Today I am sharing a couple of sneak peeks at the two clear stamp sets being released TOMORROW! So without further ado lets see them…

This first sneak peek gives it away really! Elements of the set have been designed for some time now, some even since my early years at University. It is also a follow on / addition to the previously released and popular Paradise – Hummingbird clear stamp set 😉

The second mini set being released this month follows the tropical theme and trend, it is a perfect add on set to the two mentioned above for even more possibilities!

Life here at Uniko HQ is a little hectic to say the least with the beans that seem to have hit a crazier & more exhausting stage of toddlerhood!

So my apologies that again it is a mini release. However,  it is packed with possibilities & most of all FUN!

Anyway, back to the release, below I have outlined the release schedule & there are a couple of changes this month…
Sneak Peeks Today 10th June, these little teasers give you hints at what is in store!
Release Day! Saturday 11th June 9am BST you will get to see the products in their entirety and purchase them HERE on the website! There will be some inspiration from myself and the chance to win an eGift Certificate to spend in store on the website.

Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY! Due to various reasons the Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY has been scheduled for Saturday 25th June 9am BST.
