9th Birthday February 2021 Release in Review Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Happy Weekend!

I couldn’t help but stretch our 9th Birthday February 2021 Release celebrations on for a little longer! Now the Uniko Brand Ambassadors have their goodies we can have one last party and showcase these new clear stamps and stencil with a Release in Review Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE where I have introduced the hop and shared a little info. So how about I share a few cards that I have made using some of the new clear stamps…

First up is this card using Background Builders Delightful Diamonds paired with the silhouette from Happy Days. Originally I had planned to stamp the diamonds direct onto my base card, but I was having an off day with my stamping and it went array. So instead I fussy cut them out and adhered them to my card base with double sided tape instead!

Once I had created this trellis design I wanted to use a silhouette image. I have a couple in stamp sets, Just Because and Happy Days. I chose the one from Happy Days, but you will notice on my card the silhouette is taller.

I decided to get creative and tried stamping it on top of the first to make it taller and it worked. I love it when some ideas I have come off first time! I have then fussy cut the silhouette out, adhered with foam adhesive and added a simple ‘Hello’ sentiment from Simply Said Blocks.

This lead onto my next card, another using Background Builders Delightful Diamonds and another card I had planned out in my head.

This time I wanted to create a band of diamonds across the top of my card. I selected the outline style diamonds to stamp so that I could add some colour.

I’ve finished the card off by layering with black and raspberry pink card and also with a sentiment from Floral Vines. Two very different looking cards using the same stamp set.

Lastly for today I have a card using the popular Floral Vines stamp set which is now back in stock, though be quick as the stock level has dropped since they arrived back in!

I decided to jump on the slimline card band waggon, though the initial trend might be not as hot as it was, I don’t know! The design would have easily fit on a standard size card, but I do love the extra white space.

Here I have simply stamped the main image from Floral Vines, coloured with alcohol markers and added the birthday sentiment from the set. A really quick and simple card.

That’s all I have to share today using the stamps, but be sure to hop on along the Brand Ambassadors blogs to be inspired and WOWed by all the creativity.

Uniko Challenge #64 Signs of Spring with Optional Twist Easter

 Hey!

Welcome to the March/April 2021 Uniko Challenge.

Here in the UK the days are getting lighter and even if the weather is not catching up that well we are seeing signs of Spring. So that’s the theme for our new challenge.

We’re delighted to welcome Stephanie as our guest Designer for this challenge. I’m sure many of you will know her well and been inspired by her wonderful cards. A visit to her blog is always a pleasure, find it HERE.

WOW! what a stunning card using those Uniko Originally Organic stamps on vellum and subtle French Script background.

I’ve been loving the signs of Spring on my daily walks to and from the school and The Beans have been learning about the seasons, so it is a hot topic of conversation.

I decided to give some fresh inky love to one of the Flower Power stamp sets, Flower Power #6 in particular with a sentiment from Flower Power #4.

I love using stamps I haven’t used for a while and it was a delight to use these roses and create this climbing frame.

That’s all I have to share, but be sure to hop on over HERE and see what the Brand Ambassadors have created. You will also find the link up to the challenge and all the prize details 🙂

Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful Blog Hop

Happy International Women’s Day

As a business owned and run by myself a woman, Uniko is super proud to be one of the many sponsors of this event celebrating creative women around the world.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE the start of the hop and event on the Women BeYoutifully You blog. If not be sure to head on over and read all about the hop and all the places/chances of winning one of the many sponsor prizes.

To celebrate the hop myself and a couple of the Uniko Brand Ambassadors have created some inspiration to share with you…

For my first card I couldn’t resist using the recently released Floral Vines clear stamp set to create this super CAS card with a Spring feel.

I stamped the floral vines along the edge of my card & coloured with Prismacolor pencils. I added a sentiment from Beautiful clear stamp set and added some Nuvo Drops to finish the design.

For my second card today I kept to the same colour scheme, but this time I decided to use Framed – Floral Vines.

I’m not sure if my ‘shading’ attempt ruined it a little bit, trying to step out of my comfort zone and experiment more with colouring!

This time I added a sentiment from Just Because and I masked the ‘you are amazing’ to be able to stamp it either side of the ‘s’ in because.

Now I have some inspiration from a couple of the Uniko Brand Ambassadors. Be sure to head on over to their blogs for all the details and leave some comment love.

Loving this colourful creation Jane has made using the recently released Background Blocks Solid Wonky Stripes paired with the popular silhouette and sentiment from Just Because.

Izzy has used our beautiful Pure Florals Gerbera for this stunning card and it looks like we have a unintentional colour theme of purple going on today 🙂

Be sure to follow the links to both Brand Ambassador blogs and leave some comment love. I will be randomly selecting a comment at the end of the hop on the 16th March to win an extra Uniko prize from the comments left on the Uniko blogs.

Thank you for stopping by today & joining in on the celebrations.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 Day 7

Welcome to Day 7 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020!

Uniko is super excited again to be a part of this wonderful festive event organised by Tracey McNeely from In My Creative Opinion. If this is your first year joining in and finding out about the fun you can read all about it HERE.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from the Uniko Blogspot Blog HERE. If not, be sure to pop on over and see all the inspiration from the Uniko Brand Ambassadors joining in on the event.

I made a couple of tags for today & I am sure I will be back to share some more over the coming days too 😉

For my first tag I was inspired to use a non-Christmas Uniko clear stamp paired with the holly & berries from Winter Foliage. I used Background Blocks Wonky Stripes.

This is such a fun and versatile stamp, I’ve used it for so many different occasions and it is easy and fun to colour too. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Festive Sentiments and my tag shape is the All The Merrys from Concord & 9th.

This week Brand Ambassador Jane shared some Christmas card inspiration HERE using Jolly Christmas, which inspired me to dust off my Jolly Christmas Santa and make a tag!

Another CAS design! This time the HO HO HO sentiment is from Background Builders Christmas 2018. I’ve just inked and stamped just a section of the stamp.

The tag shape is an older die from Papertrey Ink, as is the polka dot ribbon. I think this is the only time of year I currently reach for and use ribbon and twine these days!

I look forward to seeing you join in on the event & if you share your tags on social media using Uniko products, be sure to mention @unikoltd and or hashtag #unikostamps #unikoltd 🙂

How about an extra Christmas themed GIVEAWAY?! Simply leave a comment on this post by November 30th 2020 and I will randomly select a lucky comment to win a Christmas bundle of Uniko goodies 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a lovely creative weekend.

Edited to add the lucky comment WINNER for the Uniko Christmas Bundle..

These are marvelous tag creations – first I want to thank you for sponsoring the 25 Days of Christmas Tag Hop – I just love those holly leaves on tag one and who can resist a Santa – love him on that double tag creation – which is becoming one of my favorite ways to create a tag – use 2 tags! TFS have a blessed day!

Congratulations Gail!

We have a super easy theme of Anything Goes with the optional twist of Thanks.

We’re super delighted to welcome back Ishani as our Guest Designer and she has created another incredibly beautiful card to inspire you to play along.

Guest Designer – Ishani

Isn’t that just the most incredible use of Uniko goodies?

Don’t forget to check out all the Brand Ambassador inspiration over HERE and you will also find the link up for challenge entries.

I was inspired to get creative and dusted off the Kindness Blooms clear stamps and Designer Dies. (Bundle Offer available HERE).

I chose Altenew’s Warm & Cozy ink collection to stamp the dotted background. I then selected some card scraps that matched for my mat layer and to die cut the largest Kindness Blooms bloom.

The layout of my card was inspired by the current challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches seen HERE and below.

I popped the die cut up with some foam adhesive & added the stamen image and some Nuvo Simply White Crystal Drops – love how the colour of these change when you add them over dye ink. It kinda sucks up some of the colour! The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks.

Today seems bittersweet. Normally I would have the studio packed up and I would be well on my way to Port Sunlight for Happy Stampers Festival. This October show would have been the last organised by Liz.

I remember clearly how Liz spent many years trying to get me to exhibit at Happy Stampers & looking back in hindsight I regret not doing it sooner! This show in May & October was my favourite event in my yearly calendar.

A night away with a friend with a glass or two of Prosecco and as ALWAYS I would be finishing off display boards. My perfectionism kicking in big time with a mix of pre show nerves and excitement.

I will miss seeing all your wonderful faces at the show, catching up with you all and giving you all a big hug. So I am sending virtual hugs your way.

However, tomorrow is World Card Making Day! A day in the card makers calendar we all look forward to and with the show landing on this day I usually miss/forget organising something fun.

So tomorrow, be sure to check out Uniko’s social media (Instagram & Facebook) for a GIVEAWAY and more!!

Until then, have a wonderful Friday.

World Bee Day – To BEE or not to BEE Blog Hop!

Hey & Happy HOT Hump Day! It’s a scorcher here in the UK today and up North we are recording temperatures of 27 degrees celsius!

Welcome to the 2020 BEE or not to BEE Blog Hop!

Hopefully you have hopped on over from the official start of the hop on Milka‘s blog and all the participants can be found at the end of this post.

And this is what I have created for the occasion…

My creative mojo and time has been seriously lacking these past 5/6 weeks in lockdown here in the UK, but I managed to whip this card up using some AAA Cards challenge inspiration! You can check their challenge out HERE and below is the challenge cue.

I have gone over up to one third of my card slightly 🙁 I should have overlapped the bees onto the yellow and black stripes a little more perhaps. It was the inspiration I needed to create though! Oh, and BTW Uniko is the current sponsor!!

As it’s World Bee Day, the Uniko BEE Happy clear stamp set had to be featured and I have paired it with the Background Blocks Horizontal Stripe.

I’m pretty pleased with how this turned out considering my lack of stamping recently!

Happy BEE Day!

March 2020 Non Release Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hello & Happy Weekend.

This month is non-release month at Uniko and on non-release months myself and my awesome Brand Ambassadors revisit a previously released clear stamp set.

This month we are revisiting Pure Florals Gerbera and giving it some fresh inky creativity.

As usual we have our GIVEAWAY, so be sure to comment along the hop for your chance to win both the Pure Florals Gerbera Clear Stamp Set.  An alternative prize will be offered if the winner already owns this.

You have until midnight Sunday 22nd March 2020 to comment along the hop.

I thought I would start with a pretty pink card and use a quick colouring technique. It’s a good one if you’re not one for spending ages on colouring, but you can achieve colour depth and shading.

I started out by stamping the solid Gerbera stamp onto a panel of card stock using The Stamp Market Fresh ink to create an all over background.

I then stamped a single image onto a small scrap of card using the same colour of pink. Selecting a slightly darker colour of pink I shaded in areas of the petals to create depth and make it look realistic.

I repeated my process for the leaf using The Stamp Market Leafy and a slightly darker shade of pencil.

The flower is adhered to the card using foam adhesive and then I have tucked the leaf in and adhered using double sided tape.

Lastly for today I have a simple Copic coloured bloom. I have been getting some practice in with my Copic markers (still have a long way to go), and I had some Coral pinks I wanted to play with.

The layout of my card is from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches seen HERE and below.

As you can see from my photo I have coloured around the edge of my bloom. The matching dies are currently out of stock (sorry) and so I didn’t cheat and went back to basics with some fussy cutting. I have seen this technique used a few times around social media and I love the effect it gives.

Apart from my base card, this card was made from scraps I had left over from other projects. Having a coloured block like the navy card is a great way of using up pieces, as it the piece I have used for the sentiment. The sentiment is from Birthday Sentiments.

That’s all I have to share with you today, but be sure to stop by all the Uniko Brand Ambassador blogs and comment along the way for your chance to win.

International Women’s Day Blog Hop

Happy International Women’s Day.

Today crafters have come together around the world to celebrate YOU and all the amazing women in this wonderful community around the world, with an inspirational blog and Insta Hop.

Uniko is proud to be a sponsor of this inspiring event, along with 25 amazing companies.

All the details about the Blog Hop & Insta Hop can be found HERE at the beginning of the hop.

In honour of the day, it was only right that I created a card to mark the occasion and bring a little inspiration back to those that inspire me

I stood for a while looking through all my Uniko clear stamps and products, before choosing the Beautiful clear stamp set to use. Along with the sentiments in the stamp set, the little Geranium style flowers can be coloured in bright, cheerful and inspiring colours.

As you can see I opted for my usual clean and simple style for my card today.

I stamped the flowers in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and coloured them with Copic markers. I seem to be on a roll with colouring with Copics at the moment and enjoying this colouring medium again! I still choose to stamp sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black and clustered the flowers around the sentiment.

I do hope you will join in on the fun and celebrate today and how amazing & beautiful YOU are.

The next stop on the hop is Your Next Stamp and you can find the full list of sponsors, hop participants and organisers HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today.

February 2020 & 8th Birthday Reveal, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hey & Happy Sunday!

Welcome to the February & 8th Birthday product reveal, blog hop & GIVEAWAY! Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE where I have formally introduced all the products available for purchase at 9pm GMT.

I have a trio of cards to share with you today. First up a super CAS card using Happy Days.

I can see this little set being a ‘go to’ for quick cards. Here I started with a panel of white card as big as my card base. I drew a faint pencil line a few centimetres from the bottom, making sure to leave enough space for my sentiment.

I then inked the silhouette foliage in Limeade, Lime & Fresh Leaf Altenew inks and stamped onto my card. I made sure to stamp part of the stem under the line as I wanted to cut along the line and around the image. This is then popped up onto my card base using foam adhesive.

For my next card I used Happy Days again, but this time I had an idea to combine it with Organic Wishes.

My idea was to capture new fresh spring leaves amongst the winter foliage and I used the ‘Bloom & Grow’ sentiment from Spring Botanicals Tulip.

Another quick stamped and CAS card. This time I added the stamped panel to a lime green card base using foam adhesive & tied some linen thread around the bottom section to add a rustic touch.

Lastly for today & continuing the Spring garden theme I decided to ink up and colour Spring Botanicals Tulip.

I decided to stamp & emboss the tulips in white onto a panel of kraft card. I then coloured the tulips using Prismacolor Pencils. I find colouring on kraft really forgiving when you don’t want to spend a huge amount of time colouring!

I used a trio of red/pink for the flowers and a trio of green for the leaves & stem. I used a little bit of blending solution to achieve a nice smooth finish. I decided not to add a sentiment on the front of the card & will add one inside if I choose to send the card.

That’s all I have to share with you today, but I know my Brand Ambassadors have so much wonderful creativity to share with you too.
