Stamp Of The Week – Pure Florals Poinsettia

Hey!

Stamp of the Week is a new feature here at Uniko.

It is one I have been wanting to do for some time & with the results of the recent survey I did it is something 69% of you wanted too. Even though every other month the DT and I revisit a previously released set, there are MANY more clear stamp sets that deserve some LOVE!

So, what is stamp of the week?

Well, each week I will be focusing on a different stamp set on this the Uniko website blog, I will be featuring a variety of cards, tags, projects and hopefully videos. The stamp of the week will be the main focus but I will also be showing how it pairs with other products from Uniko & other reputable companies. Along with all that the featured stamp set will be available in store at a discounted price for that week only.

This weeks stamp of the week – Pure Florals: Poinsettia

I’m back today with another card using the Pure Florals: Poinsettia clear stamp set. This time I have opted for a non traditional colour scheme for my card…

I am loving the current trend of gold embossing and decided I wanted to do that on todays card but I didn’t want it paired with traditional Christmas colours. So out cam my Zig Clean Color Brush Pens, a large acrylic block and a mini mister. To create the background I simply coloured my acrylic black with the trio of pens, misted and then applied it straight  onto my watercolour paper.

After leaving it to dry I then gold embossed the poinsettia & my chosen sentiment. I then placed it under a heavy book overnight and flat mounted it onto a white card base.

This would be a really quick & easy, last minute Christmas card idea & you could easily switch the background colours to more traditional ones if desired.

Ok, that’s all I have to share with you today, but I will be back again tomorrow with more to share using this clear stamp set. I hope you are enjoying the feature here & what I am creating! Don’t forget we have the October DT Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY going on HERE and you could win this set!

Thank you for stopping by today.

TIME OUT Challenges – CASE with your own twist

Hey!

It’s time for the next challenge over at TIME OUT Challenges. This fortnight is a CASE challenge, with your own twist. This month we have an awesome muse, Alice from Alice’s {Little} Wonderland and this is the FABULOUS creation we are CASEing…

Here’s my take…

I was mainly inspired by the layout of Alice’s card and also the cute little cactus Alice used, but as I don’t own any type of stamp that is or resembles a cactus I opted for my Uniko Rustic Christmas Tree instead. It is kinda prickly, right?

Instead of layering washi tape/papers and fussy cutting out the tree I simply stamp the Grunge Grid from SU! in Crumb Cake ink also from SU! onto my card base, but I stamped it off lightly first so the colour didn’t come out too dark. I then over stamped the Rustic tree in Hint of Pesto VersaMagic ink.

I did however fussy cut out a tiny red bird from the same set and just adhered it to the card using double sided tape, but having it cut out just added a bit more dimension than just stamping it onto the card. It also replicates the red flower on Alice’s cactus. The sentiment is also from the set and the set will be back in stock this weekend, along with some highly requested sets!

Ok, that’s all from me today, but there is much more inspiration over at TIME OUT Challenges. This fortnight we have a lovely guest designer joining us, Rema, be sure to stop by Rema’s Blog HERE to see how she was inspired by the photo and of course the FABulous TIME OUT Challenges Design Team.

For all the info and to link up your challenge be sure to stop by the TIME OUT Challenges blog. I look forward to seeing your creations 🙂 I’ll be back soon with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today.

NEW Website & a card

Hey!

So, finally the NEW and improved Uniko website is up and running (YAY!) I still have products to add (dies and digital stuff), and I plan on adding more gallery photos. But the clear stamps are all up on there and the NEW loyalty points reward system is working too!

Here is a little overview of the loyalty rewards points system…

How it works:

Register for a new account on the new website. You will receive 25 points for opening an account, you only need to create an account once.

For every £1 you spend (not including postage costs) you will receive 1 point.

Once you have accumulated 50 points this will be worth £1 off a future purchase. Or you can save your points up to purchase a product.

  • £4.95 set requires 247 points
  • £9.95 set requires 497 points
  • £15.95 set requires 797 points

Points can be earned through social media, such as liking a product on Facebook, Tweeting & Google+

Points can be earned for referring a friend to Uniko

Points will be added to Uniko customer accounts (once created by the customer) who have ordered on the old website from February 11th 2015 onwards.

Exceptions:

Points will not be earned when purchasing gift certificates.

Points earned while placing an order cannot be used on that order, they will be added to your account on order completion.

If you are not logged into your account when placing an order, you will not receive points on that order.

Uniko has the right to ban or restrict account holders from earning or redeeming points if Uniko deems the user/account holder to be abusing the system.

So with all the new changes and adding the system, unfortunately I haven’t been able to ‘bulk’ transfer across customer accounts. As this could be an inconvenience to you or if you have problems setting up a new account I am able to set up accounts individually. You can login or register an account HERE.

If you require me to set your account up, simply email me at beverley@unikostudio.com with a USERNAME you would like to use (this cannot be changed once the account is set up) and an EMAIL address you want associated with the account.

If you have ordered from Uniko over the past 2 weeks you will have noticed I have changed the stamp set inlays to co-ordinate with our new fresh look. I will be providing a downloadable file containing ALL the new inlays for you to be able to print at home if you would like all your Uniko clear stamps to look the same. Especially if you are a little OCD like me 😉 This will be available in the next week or so.

Anyway, I think that is all I have to share for now about the website 😉 be sure to have a look about.

I do have a card to share too…

This is one of the cards the class made at The Paperlane on saturday, we did some die cutting techniques mixed with ‘spotlight’ stamping. This card was also inspired and a CASE of THIS card by DT member Sarah P.

I decided to use turquoise, instead of the gold like on Sarah’s card and change the orientation and die cut mounted layer. Below is a close up of the detail…

I have another 2 classes coming up on July 11th at The Paperlane, which is also Uniko Release Day. We will be using the new products in the class, so if you fancy trying the sets out before you by be sure to secure your place in the class by emailing Caz, caz3410@gmail.com

Ok, that’s all from me today, I had best go and get some work done whilst the beans are still napping! Thanks for stopping by today 🙂

Supplies: Card Stock: SU! Pumpkin Pie, White (HobbyCraft). Ink: Memento Luxe Rose Bud & Morocco, VersaMagic Turquoise Gem & Mango Madness. Stamps: Uniko Flower Power #7 and All Occasion Sentiments #3Accessories: Papertrey Ink Frame Die, Mama Elephant ‘hello’ die, SU! Glitter

TIME OUT Challenges – Inspired By Words

Hey!

It’s time for challenge #33 over at TIME OUT Challenges and we are back to being inspired by words, the phrase for this fortnights challenge is…

Happy is the bride that the sun shines on

What do these words inspire you to create? I was inspired by the word bride, which resulted in this card…

I am loving my Mama Elephant dies I bought with my birthday money and I can’t seem to stop using the curved edge die 🙂 I dusted off my All Occasion Sentiments #5 stamp set along with Background Builders: Vines to pair with the die along with my favourite ink colours and card base colour!

This fortnight we have a lovely guest designer joining us, Sue, be sure to stop by Sue’s blog HERE to see how she was inspired by the photo and of course the FABulous TIME OUT Challenges Design Team…

Still TIME to join in at TIME OUT Challenges!

Hey!

There is still TIME to join in at TIME OUT Challenges. This fortnight is a CASE challenge, with your own twist. This month we have an awesome muse, Deepti from Dee’s Art Utopia.

Along with having an awesome muse to CASE, Deepti is giving an awesome prize away for this challenge. You may or may not know that Deepti has designed her first stamp set and it is for sale HERE through Stamplorations. Though you have the chance to WIN a set by joining in on the challenge 🙂
Here is Deepti’s card we are CASEing…

And here how I was inspired…

Again I used a combination of Uniko stamps to create my card. I was again inspired by the gingham effect on Deepti’s card and recreated this on the lower section of my card using Background Builders: Squared (Back in stock June 11th) and Background Builders: Vines. I used my new (to me) Mama Elephant dies to create the curved black panel which is adhered using foam adhesive and has a stamped sentiment from A Gift For You.

Ok, that’s all from me today, but there is much more inspiration over at TIME OUT Challenges. This fortnight we have a lovely guest designer joining us, Maura, be sure to stop by Maura s Splitcoast Stampers Page HERE to see how she was inspired by the photo and of course the FABulous TIME OUT Challenges Design Team.
