Introducing… Flower Power #8

Hey!

Welcome to day 5 of the May 2018 Release product introductions!

Today we are introducing the next clear stamp set in the Flower Power series. It’s been an age since I added to this series and when I stumbled upon another floral in my archive of designs it seemed perfect to add to the Flower Powers ūüôā

Hopefully you have hopped on over from our AMAZING Guest Designer Anna’s blog. If not, be sure to have a look at Anna’s colourful and cheerful scrapbook layout HERE.

I’ve one more card to share today using this clear stamp set…

IntroFP#82

I’ve been seeing Lime Green with Black & White a lot recently and I thought it would be fun to use the colour combo for my card.

IntroFP#82a

I’ve also been seeing a lot of partial stencilled backgrounds behind images, so I thought I would try my hand at it! I used the Scattered Polka Dot stencil and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink. I still need a little practice with my faded blending technique, but I was pleased with the results.

Ok, that is all I’ve had time to make so far using this set ūüôĀ So many ideas, not enough time! Luckily I have a FAB design team who’ve made amazing projects to share with you. Be sure to hop on round and leave some LOVE.

GIVEAWAY ALERT! As this is a Kindness themed clear stamp set, I will be giving one away to one lucky commenter!

Hugs

They do come joined together as a collection, but are easily unconnected by hand or with wire snips. The pink line in the product picture is the cutting line and the pale turquoise is the stamped image.

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).¬†This week I am dusting off…¬†Flower Power #2

Clear Stamps

Yesterday I realised that I used Flower Power #2 as a SOTW a few weeks ago, I do apologise for repeating myself. However, it’s more inspiration for you using this set!

Anyway, how about one last card this week using this set…

2016SOTW64

Today I have paired it with Natures Treasures I again, the leaves in this set are the perfect size to pair with the blooms. The layout of my card was inspired by the current Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below.

FMS Final 243-001

My card came together pretty quickly as I had some left over stamped blooms from my other cards this week! I opted for a Soft Stone card base as I wanted a softer cleaners to my card as I knew I wanted to use a With Sympathy sentiment. It is for one of my neighbours as they have recently lost one of their cats.

I feel for them as I am a cat lover too and Ted used to spend a lot of time in our garden with Mr Cat and was good company for him.

Anyway, that’s all from me today, I will be back tomorrow with a new SOTW and featuring a set that I haven’t done so this time!Don’t forget that this set is discounted¬†HERE¬†on the website this week. Plus I have a little discount code for a limited time only. Use the code¬†summer15¬†during the checkout process, code expires midnight 4th July 2016.

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).¬†This week I am dusting off…¬†Flower Power #2

Clear Stamps

I seem to have had one of those weeks where time has simply slipped away from my grasp! Plus I realised that I used Flower Power #2 as a SOTW a few weeks ago, I do apologise for repeating myself. However, it’s more inspiration for you using this set!

Anyway, on with my card…

2016SOTW63

I thought I would do a little reminder that there is still time to join in on the current Uniko challenge HERE and seen below, which is a photo inspiration challenge.

ChallengeGraphic6

Again I was inspired by the colours and I thought with the outline Flower Power #2 bloom being quite open and loopy fitted well with the inspiration.

2016SOTW63a

I die cut a piece of white CS using one of my Project Life dies, stamped the flowers and sentiment, added some candy dots and faux stitching round the outside. The base of my card is lined with a piece of patterned CS from a SU! kit which I added glitter to myself as I thought it required a little more oomph!

I have one more card to share tomorrow, so I hope to see you then! ¬†Don’t forget that this set is discounted¬†HERE¬†on the website this week. Plus I have a little discount code for a limited time only. Use the code summer15 during the checkout process, code expires midnight 4th July 2016.

This set is one of my all time favourite flowers, it is originally based on a cherry blossom. The set has recently come back in stock and so I decided I would dust it off and give it some more love.

This is how I decided to use it today…

2016SOTW62

As usual I was inspired by a challenge, the same as Tuesday! My colour combination is from the new ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

I recently purchased the SU! Sunshine Wishes dies as I just LOVE the heart die in the collection, which I have used on my card today. The layout of my card is a CASE of one I came across on Pinterest HERE.

2016SOTW62a

I was hoping to have shared this yesterday, but simply ran out of time, this week is going WAY to fast! I WILL be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted¬†HERE¬†on the website this week.

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).¬†This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

Clear Stamps

This set is one of my all time favourite flowers, it is originally based on a cherry blossom. The set has recently come back in stock and so I decided I would dust it off and give it some more love.

This is how I decided to use it today…

2016SOTW61

As usual I was inspired by a couple of challenges! First up my colour combination is from the new ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

348

I recently purchased some Clarity Stencil Brushes, as I have heard and seen so many great reviews on them. I’ve been wanting to get into and better at ink blending and use the stencils I own that have been sitting on my shelf for an age!

In the past I have used the sponges and applicator tools, but seem to get hard line/ink areas where I haven’t worked the blending in properly from the edges. I am impatient and gave up!

This card is only my second attempt at using the brushes and I am already happier with my results. My first attempt card using them can be seen HERE.

2016SOTW61a

I used a mixture of SU! inks for the yellow/orange flowers and a mix of Distress Ink and SU! ink for the turquoise flower. After blending the inks on some scrap pieces of card I heat embossed the outline flower using detail white and fussy cut them out. The leaves are a blend of SU! green inks and then I used Certainly Celery to stamp the stem and leaves, fussy cutting just so the leaves remained.

As the current “Less is More” challenge HERE is to use a stencil, I finally put my SU! one to use! I masked off the stencil leaving just 3 lines. I then used SU! Night Of Navy to apply the colour, making sure I applied the ink from the left side to make it darker and fade the ink across to the right. I still need plenty of practice, but overall I am happier with the results using the brushes.

Ok, that’s all from me tonight, I have had a busy day with the beans visiting a new play area and as much as it wore them out, it has done the same to me!¬†I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted¬†HERE¬†on the website this week.

2016SOTW18

Todays card was made straight after yesterdays SOTW card and so again, the colours of my card were inspired by the current¬†Color Throwdown¬†challenge colours seen¬†HERE¬†and below. I couldn’t resist playing along again as I do love a mix of Aqua and Pink ūüėČ

swatch376

This time I decided to focus upon the half blooms contained in the set and I also used one of the sentiments. The current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below was perfect too.

CTS_156

I started by stamping the stems and staggering them so that the flowers wouldn’t all be in a straight line. The blooms were stamped and fussy cut with the outline ones adhered with foam adhesive. I almost got all of the striped on the leaves lined up as they go along the card, but I have only just noticed that now ūüėČ

2016SOTW18a

Ok, that’s all from me today, we have family coming this afternoon so I had better do a little hovering! I’ll be back tomorrow with more to share, but until then, thank you for stopping by today. Oh, and a little thank you to everyone who has ordered this weeks SOTW, it is now currently out of stock!

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).¬†This week I am dusting off…¬†Flower Power #2

FlowerPower2PP

So much for an afternoon of creativity yesterday, I’ve been hit with ANOTHER cold ūüôĀ Seems to be the same every time we go back to playgroups after a break. Anyway, after an afternoon of rest instead and an early night the mojo and energy have returned this evening – YAY!

2016SOTW17

My card today mixes SOTW and a Uniko Challenge reminder. The current Uniko Challenge HERE is an ‘Anything Goes Challenge¬†¬†with an option of LOVE.

ChallengeGraphic1

At first look my card appears to fit into the ‘Anything Goes’ category, but if you look closely I have used the LOVE sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #5 and stamped it in VersaMark Dazzle ink on a diagonal across the white mat layer.

2016SOTW17a

The colours of my card were inspired by the current Color Throwdown¬†challenge colours seen HERE and below. I couldn’t resist playing along as I do love a mix of Aqua and Pink ūüėČ

2016SOTW16

For my card today I have combined 2 challenges, first up I have used the NEW CAS Colours & Sketches colours seen HERE and below. I then saw the NEW Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below and instantly thought how perfect for using with Flower Power #2 ūüėČ

CC&S color157-001

FMS Final 220-001

I set to ‘work’ by stamping the outline bloom in SU! Rose Red & So Saffron 3 times in each colour, then fussy cut them all out. I then placed them onto my white layer of CS before stamping another of the sentiments from Hero Arts Acts Of Kindness stamp set (loving the sentiments in this set).

2016SOTW16a

Another super quick thank you/ kindness card ready to pop into the post! I’ve used the CC&S challenge colours HERE too, on my DT card, just if you are looking for a bit more inspiration today!

Ok, that’s all from me today, I have a bean free afternoon and I am going to make the most of it and have some inky crafting fun ūüôā

I’ll be back tomorrow with more to share, but until then, thank you for stopping by today.
