Uniko Challenge #47 – Photo Inspiration & Optional Twist Birthday

Uniko Challenge #47 – Photo Inspiration & Optional Twist Birthday

Hey!

Welcome to the May/June, 2018 Uniko challenge.

This month we have a beautiful photo that we hope will inspire you to play along. Lots of ways to be inspired by the photo – the colours, the flowers, the grasses, the gorgeous vase or maybe the suitcase will give you a vacation vibe. Any way this photo talks to you is ok by us, but if you’d like an extra challenge then play along with our super simple twist of BIRTHDAY.

As you’ve probably noticed the Uniko DT has grown this year with the addition of four talented ladies onto our Stencil Team. So of course there’s going to be even more DT inspiration to get your creativity flowing and we also have the most wonderful Guest Designer – Sue – joining in with us for this challenge.

Her winning card from the last challenge really caught our eye here at Uniko and if you go visit her blog you’ll find oodles more fabulous inspiration.

Guest Designer – Sue

Loving her use of Uniko goodies on this deliciously pretty card.
And here is what I came up with to hopefully inspire you…
USC#47
I was particularly inspired by the flower blooms in the vase and wanted to give Flower Power #8 from the May 2018 Release a little more inky love. I used a recent purchase of the Altenew Tea Party ink collection to stamp the trio of flowers. I then fussy cut the blooms out and adhered them to a die cut panel using double sided and foam adhesive. The die I used is the Pretty Pink Posh Scalloped Borders 1 collection.
USC#47b
I also stamped the individual leaves from Flower Power #8 to create a duo of leave and again fussy cut them out. The sentiment is from Birthday Sentiments & I added some Ripened Pumpkin Nuvo Drops to embellish the flowers and panel.
USC#47a
I was also inspired by the pattern on the pretty suitcase, so I replicated the idea using the Stylised Floral Stencil, also from the May 2018 Release. I used Crushed Olive Distress Ink. The layout of my card is from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge seen HERE and below.
FMS Final 337-001
That’s all from me today, but the Uniko Design team also have some inspiring card ideas to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too 😉
