Introducing… Background Blocks Scattered Hearts & Re-introducing Always & Forever

Hey!

I’m back today with one new product introduction and one re-introduction of a previously retired clear stamp set. It’s always nice when older stamp sets can make a return as trends change & they fit in nicely with new products.

I have a trio of cards to share with you today using these stamp sets and I’ve also combined another popular stamp set which coordinates beautifully with Always & Forever.

First up I have used Background Blocks Scattered Hearts combined with the ‘Happy Heart Day’ sentiment from You Are… Sentiments Outlined, which I introduced yesterday HERE.

For this card I have stamped the block as a focal image and overlaid the sentiment stamped on a simple panel raised with foam adhesive. I use 1mm thick foam adhesive as it still gives dimension, but is still mail friendly!

The layout of my card is from this weeks CAS Colours & Sketches challenge seen HERE and below, such a fun sketch to join in on šŸ™‚

I used Catherine Pooler Midnight ink to stamp both the heart background and the sentiment, as this ink is alcohol marker friendly & I knew I wanted to try out some of my new Altenew Artist Markers.

I used all four markers from the Rose Petal collection to randomly colour the hearts and then I used the darkest shade Cosmic Berry to colour the ‘heart’ in the sentiment. The ‘happy’ and ‘day’ are coloured with a black fine liner. I also added some clear Wink of Stella to some of the uncoloured for some subtle sparkle.

Next I decided to combine both Background Blocks Scattered Hearts with Always & Forever.

This card layout was inspired by the new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches this week seen HERE and below.

When stamping the Background Blocks Scattered Hearts, it is possible to stamp it so that you can fill a larger area, like I have on this card.

I’ve used a stitched border die (MFT, I think) to die cut the curved panel and I have stamped the ‘Always & Forever’ sentiment in black ink. The ‘Love You’ heart is stamped, fussy cut and adhered using 1mm thick foam adhesive.

Lastly for today I wanted to create a card using Always & Forever and a stamp set it coordinates with, Beautiful Blooms I.

As you can see the floral heart from Always & Forever features the Beautiful Blooms I flower.

From the very beginning of Uniko, I have always tried to design Uniko stamps so that they can be used together for more creative options.

On this card I have stamped the largest Beautiful Bloom onto my base card with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with detail white embossing powder. I’ve then ink blended a pink over the top. The red Beautiful Bloom heart is stamped, fussy cut & adhered with foam adhesive. I’ve added a small line of glitter around the edge of the heart using a quickie glue pen and fine glitter.

That is all the cards I have to share with you today, I will be back tomorrow with one more product introduction. All of the new stamps will be available on Saturday 18th January at 9am GMT.

Thank you so much for stopping by today & I do hope you will come back tomorrow.

Introducing… BIG & BOLD Love & You Are… Sentiments Outlined

Hey & Happy Hump Day!

I’m here to brighten your Wednesday with the first of the January 2020 Release introductions – yay! Today I have two mini clear stamp sets to introduce, BIG & BOLD Love and You Are… Sentiments Outlined. Both these sets are new additions to the popular BIG & BOLD series and the Sentiments Outlined series.

How about some inspiration using these new stamps. First up I got all rainbow inky with BIG & BOLD Love…

Like all of the BIG & BOLD stamp sets, the set features a beautiful bold word, smaller accompanying sentiments and accent image stamps. For this first card I wanted to go for a rainbow theme to really show off the fun striped heart image.

I’ve used a variety of Altenew inks to stamp the hearts before fussy cutting them out and adhering them to the card. I used two depths of foam adhesive to adhere the orange heart and just one to add the lime green heart.

Next I went for a one layer card with a more muted colour palette…

This time I used the graffiti style heart image and used three new Altenew colours Amethyst, Pumpkin Pie and Nimbus. I used all 3 sizes of the smaller hearts, colouring in the largest small heart once stamped with a fine liner. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks II.

The second stamp set I am introducing today is You Are… Sentiments Outlined. I love this style of focal sentiment and having had requests for one of the sentiments contained in the set it was a no brainer to release another set šŸ˜‰

As you can see from the photo, there are three sentiments in the set. For this first card I have used ‘Happy Heart Day’. This is such a good sentiment for Valentine’s Day to make loved themed cards for friends & family without it being a ‘traditional’ Valentine’s card.

On this design I have stamped the sentiment in black ink and then coloured it in with a black fine liner. In hindsight I wished I had coloured the word heart in red ink. I’ve used the striped heart and the two small solid hearts from BIG & BOLD Love to accent the sentiment to create a super CAS design.

Lastly for today I had to make my ‘signature’ card for this style of sentiment. AND yes, I am a Grey’s Anatomy fan and I have been watching them far to much again and from season one – LOL!

As you can see I have repeat stamped the sentiment to create a fun background. I have coloured all but the top centre sentiment in black fine liner and used an Altenew alcohol marker in Emerald to colour the focal sentiment.

My thinking behind it all is that the coloured sentiment represents the person you are sending the card to, highlighting them from all the ‘people’ around them represented by the black coloured sentiments! That’s just where my creativity comes from sometimes – ha!

With the shape of the sentiment layout, the repeated design left some gaps which I have filled with some stamped accent hearts from BIG & BOLD Love. I also added some clear Nuvo Drops to the coloured sentiment to make it stand out a little more.

That is all the cards I have to share with you today, I will be back tomorrow with more product introductions. All of the new stamps will be available on Saturday 18th January at 9am GMT.

Thank you so much for stopping by today & I do hope you will come back tomorrow.

Hey!

I’m super duper pleased you haveĀ stopped by today, as myself and Uniko are proud to be sponsoring the challenge Ā over atĀ CASologyĀ this week. This week the challengeĀ HEREĀ is Romance, quite appropriate seeing as it is Valentine’s Day šŸ˜‰

Plus to make it even more sweeter and as I love you all I have designed this Valentine Digital Freebie for you to download and use.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ugbtytolrsfisit/Valentine%20Freebies.zip?dl=0

Simply click on the link above to get the freebies! The collection contains 4 heart designs and one sentiment cluster design.

The Uniko Design Team and myself have created some romantic inspiration for you and a few of the team have used the freebie to inspire you too. This is what I came up with using one of the freebie hearts…

{Click Photo for a larger view}

Digital stamps are good for using with you Heidi Swapp Minc Machine, which was a good excuse to dust mine off and add some foil shimmer šŸ˜‰

I started by creating a simple polka dot design, which I then foiled with the Heidi Swapp Rose Gold Foil. I adhered this foiled panel to a Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay card base. I then printed the heart design (6 x 6cm) and foiled it with some Raspberry Pink foil I had in my stash from Uni. The heart is adhered to the card base using foam adhesive for a little dimension.

That’s all from me, but be sure to hop along the Design Team links below to see the romantic inspiration they have for you. Some of the team have used the Freebie too šŸ™‚

Here’s what I came up with…

USC#39

It’s been a while since I had some time to join in on a challenge, so I decided to use a couple to inspire my creativity. First the layout of my card is from the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge seen HERE and below.

FMS Final 271-001

Secondly, I needed a colour combo, so went the Color Throwdown challenge HERE and seen below.

swatch426

Usually I’d use a lot of red, but instead I used it to make more of a masculine Valentine card. I also limited the red to highlight the stamped sentiment panel and accentuated the lone red ‘Be Mine’ with red hearts. I used my Misti to stamp the panel šŸ™‚

USC#39a

As always the Uniko Design Team have some FABulous inspiration for you too, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too šŸ˜‰

ChallengeGraphic1

A challenge perfect to combine with this weeks SOTW! Like yesterday’s card HERE, I decided to focus on the smaller sentiments contained in Always & Forever….

2016SOTW12

It’s not like me to use so much patterned paper on my creations, but sometimes the mood strikes me and it works out well. This is some old Bo Bunny DP and I don’t know the name as it was just a small off cut I had. The pennant is a die cut tag with the top trimmed off and a small heart die cut into the upper centre. I embellished the pennant with the Valentine sentiment, added some bakers twine and heart embellishments & tadah, a quick easy Valentine card! Minimal fuss so it could be suitable for the man in your life šŸ˜‰

2016SOTW12a

Stamp Of The Week – Always & Forever

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).Ā This week I am dusting off… Always & Forever

Always&ForeverPP

I chose to feature this set because the Uniko Design Team & I are also revisiting the set HERE for the January Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY. So along with all the inspiration there you will be getting a week of inspiration here too šŸ˜‰ Be sure to pop on over an hop along for your chance to win the set & an eGift Certificate for Ā£10.

Hopefully you will see that this set is not only perfect for Valentine’s Day and love themed cards but for other occasions too. Along with how it coordinates with the popular Beautiful Blooms I, other Uniko products & more!

Anyway, how about a card…

2016SOTW8

I made this card at the same time as my blog hop card HERE and it got the same Minc foiling treatment! This time I combined gold and turquoise foil for the hearts. I promise that not all my cards this week will be foiled!

It’s a fun machine and has a ton of possibilities, especially with what I have seen peeked at CHA the Craft & Hobby Association Trade Show in California on various social media. There are some new mediums coming out to use on your projects to then add foil to such as glimmer mists and paint. Oh and some yummy ombre foils!

2016SOTW8a

Anyway, back to my card. As you can see I added a large ‘love’ die cut from SU! which I added Wink Of Stella to and a sentiment from the Always & Forever set. For an added bit of bling the hearts are embellished with rhinestones.

Ok, that is all from me today, I haven’t had a very good start to the week this week šŸ™ everything that could go wrong kinda did. Time to chill, relax & hope for a better day tomorrow.

Don’t forget that this set is 20% off this weekĀ HEREĀ in store, for this week only. Plus we still have a CRAZY January Sale on for a limited time only, so be sure to grab a bargain while you can & retiring clear stamps or dies before they are gone for good.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today šŸ™‚
