Introducing… Just Because & Large French Script Background Clear Stamps

Hey & Happy Monday!

Welcome to back to day three of the May 2018 Release product introductions. What a BEEautiful showcase of inspiration HERE on the blog hop yesterday. I sure do LOVE seeing how the Design Team are inspired to use the new products. They were certainly busy bees too with all that they created!

Today we are introducing 2 more products. Just Because Clear Stamp Set and Large French Background Clear Stamp and I have created a couple more cards using the Just Because set to inspire you…

IntroJustBec1

I decided to make another rainbow inspired card, they really do make me happy! This time I went for a one layer card too. I simply stamped the silhouette from Just Because in a rainbow of Altenew ink colours. I started with the Olive Green and ended with the Puffy Heart. The sentiment is just one of the options contained in the set.
IntroJustBec1a
With clean and simple on the go I whipped up this next super CAS and mass produceable card…

IntroJustBec2

I used both my medium and small MISTI tools to stamp this card. I had the silhouette stamp in one and the sentiment in the other. I recently purchased a new set of Altenew inks from Seven Hills Crafts HERE and I just can’t seem to stop using the Aqualicious colour 😉 I’ve paired it with some Stampin’ Up! Berry Burst card stock for my card base.

IntroJustBec2a

Unfortunately that’s all I had time to create 🙁 I was having so much fun but time to create slipped away. I hope to share more using this set on release day & we will also being having a Release in Review week starting Monday 21st May 🙂

Anyway, I know the Design Team have created SO much more to inspire you, so hop on round and leave some love!

Hugs

Introducing… Bee Happy Clear Stamp Set & Honeycomb Pattern Stencil

Hey!

Welcome to back to the second day of the May 2018 Release product introductions. Did you enjoy yesterdays introductions? I sure did, the Design Team and our Guest Designer Anna did an amazing job of showcasing them. If you missed the fun be sure to catch up HERE.

Today we are introducing 2 more products. Bee Happy Clear Stamp Set and Honeycomb Pattern Stencil. Hopefully you have hopped on over from the start of the Blog Hop HERE, I’ve shared a card there too and you will find all the Design Team links too 😉

I’ve a couple more cards to share with you using the Bee Happy clear stamp set.

First up I have this clean and simple love themed card. The Bee Happy clear stamp set contains this hexagon heart stamp and a couple of smaller hexagons which fit nicely inside the hexagons in the heart. I started by stamping the heart in VersaFine Onyx Black and then stamping the solid small hexagon in Altenew Ruby Red ink. I then fussy cut the heart out.

IntroBeeHappy2

The bee is stamped, fussy cut out, coloured with Copic marker and clear Wink Of Stella added to the wings. Usually I would simply die cut the stitched die shape, stamped the sentiment and mounted the heart and bee. However, I thought I would try by hand at embossing with the die instead and I have to say I rather like the technique!

IntroBeeHappy2a

I wanted there to be a little subtle dimension having embossed the stitched square, so that is my reasoning for fussy cutting the heart and bee. The bee is adhered with 1 mm thick foam adhesive.

Lastly I have one more super CAS card to share…

IntroBeeHappy3

I wanted to create a fun pattern using the trio of hexagon stamps, so I set the stamp in my MISTI tool and stamped away 😉 I used the acetate sheet the stamps come on for placement of my next stamped image. It was a little fiddly and time consuming, but I am pleased with the results.

IntroBeeHappy3a

I then repeated what I did with the card above and the small solid hexagon. This time I only stamped inside a few of the hexagons, randomly. It was almost a one layer card, but with it being so clean and simple I decided it needed a subtle white on white border and layered onto a white card base.

That’s all I have to share with you today using this clear stamp set, but be sure to hop along with the Design Team for even more inspiration…

Introducing… Simply Said Blocks II and Natures Treasures II Stencil & Mask

Hey!

Welcome to the first day of the May 2018 Release product introductions. This is the fun part, you now get to see all the sneak peeks in action. The Design Team and our Guest Designer for May Anna have worked their socks off and created an abundance of inspiration to share with you over the coming days 🙂

Today we are introducing 2 products. Simply Said Blocks II a mini clear stamp set with additional popular sentiments in the same style as Simply Said Blocks. And we are ‘officially’ introducing Natures Treasures II Stencil. This stencil was part of the Uniko Stamping Retreat goody bag in Dec 2017. It has proven popular with those that attended, myself and some of the DT, that it was time it was made available to everyone 🙂

Hopefully you have hopped on by from our lovely Guest Designer, Anna’s blog HERE.

How about a bit more inspiration?! I’ve a couple of cards to share using a combination of the Natures Treasures II Stencil and sentiments from Simply Said Blocks II and a sneak peek of some others from another clear stamp set we will be introducing next week 😉

IntroNT2stencil2

I thought I’d start off with a super CAS card and a bit of partial fussy cutting! For this card I began with a 10.5 x 12 cm piece of white card. I stamped the sentiment from a clear stamp set we are introducing in a couple of days called Just Because first, so that I could then position and ink the leaf.

IntroNTstencil2a

I used a trio of Distress Oxides to do this, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Picked Raspberry. I then drew a soft pencil line where I wanted to cut straight and then went ahead and fussy cut it out. This panel is then adhered to my base card using 1mm thick foam adhesive.

For my next card I channeled my inner Laura Bassen, to create this rainbow card.

IntroNT2stencil3

Again I used Distress Oxides and simply worked across from Picked Raspberry down to Wilted Violet. The sentiment is a combination from Simply Said Blocks II and Just Because.

IntroNT2stencil3a

That’s all I have to share with you for today, but there is LOADS more inspiration from my awesome Design Team. Be sure to hop along and leave some love along the way 🙂

Today I am sharing a couple more sneak peeks at the new products being released on the 12th May…

Who doesn’t love a silhouette and a floral one? Silhouettes have been around in the paper crafting and stamping world, probably from the get go! However, there seems to be a revival of this trend and I thought I’d put a little of my style out there too 😉

Next, I have a fun new background sneak peek.

That’s all the sneak peeks that I have to share with you all today! I do hope you have enjoyed the peeks and I’d love to know what you like the look of so far 🙂

Uniko Guest Designer for May 2018!

Hey & Happy Monday!

Today I am super excited to be introducing Uniko’s Guest Designer for the month of May. I am also really happy to be opening the Uniko Guest Designer door again, and I am hoping it to be a regular occurrence, especially during release months!

I am truly honoured to have Anna Uhras from URAscrap. I am sure many of you are familiar with Anna’s work, she is a Design Team Member for CASology, a card challenge blog Uniko frequently sponsors, Design in Papers and Citrus Twist.

Over to Anna now to introduce herself…

Hi!

I am Anna Uhras ,43 years old, from Sweden. My profession is Hairdresser and I am happily married to my husband Henrik, who is a farmer soon to be for 24 years. We live at our farm and together we have five lovely kids aged 22, 20,18, 6 and 4. I work part-time and then I am a stay at home mom. My family is my heart and joy!

Scrapbooking is my “Me time” and I have to admit that it is also sort of an addiction if you ask my family, LOL! I love all those pretty papers and embellishments and I love to be creative with them. Actually ! can’t live without scrapping!
My first contact with scrappy things was in 2007 by making cards. But it wasn’t until 2012 I discovered layouts and then I never looked back. I think my scrappy style has evolved a lot since I first started. I love to try new things and techniques all the time.
Right now I love to use stencils and mist’s for my layout backgrounds. Colours make my heart sing so I use a lot of colours on my projects. However I feel I have a pretty clean style. My favourite crafting supplies are patterned papers, colour mist’s, stamps cotton thread and my sewing machine, in fact it’s hard to find any of my projects without any stitches. Also I love to use digital cut files with my Silhouette Cameo.
My creations are mostly layouts (both 12×12 and 8.5×11), cards and TN-spreads as well.

I’m so excited, happy and very proud to be your guest here at Uniko Studio, thank you so much Bev!

Take care! Anna xo

Welcome Anna! It was lovely to find out more about you, your family and what you LOVE most about paper crafting.

Anna will be joining us throughout May here on the blog as our Guest Designer AND joining in on some of the May 2018 Release 🙂 Until you get to see Anna’s projects in full, here are a few peeks at what Anna has created to share…

Stunning peeks, don’t you think? I sure am excited to see the full projects and read about how they were created.

Until then, thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will pop back tomorrow, as countdown to the Uniko May 2018 Release starts!

Hugs

Uniko Sponsors TIME OUT Challenge – Spring with Optional Twist

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I do hope you are having a good week so far? It’s been a mixed week here at Uniko HQ, but with some exciting new products on their way soon all is good!

Anyway, enough with that, Uniko is super duper happy to be sponsoring my very first Design Team challenge, TIME OUT Challenges.

spring

This fortnight the challenge HERE at TIME OUT Challenges is appropriately Spring with an Optional Twist of a One Layer Card. With Spring being so late for many parts of the Northern Hemisphere, there is still plenty of time to send them out!

I decided to use the more recent released Spring Botanicals Daffodil clear stamp set and created this one layer card…

UnikoSponsorsTO{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I started by drawing out a rectangle with a pencil and then going over with a black fine liner, to create a frame for my daffodil. This helps create more interest to a flat one layer card. I then masked the outsides of the rectangle to be able to stamp the daffodil.

UnikoSponsorsTO1a

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I’ve then selected 3 Prismacolor Pencils to match the current Color Throwdown challenge seen HERE and below to colour my daffodil. The sentiment is from Spring Botanicals Snowdrop and is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink.

I hope you’re inspired to join in on the challenge & I look forward to seeing you in the gallery too! Be sure to check out all the wonderful TIME OUT Challenge Design Team inspiration over HERE, they have used Uniko stamps too 🙂

One Layer Stencil Fun!

Hey & Happy Monday!

I do hope your week has begun well? Mine started well, but then took an unplanned turn when Bean no.2 came out in the chicken pox spots. Second time round and it still surprised me as to how suddenly and quickly they begin to appear from nowhere! Luckily my in laws are back from their holiday this week and were able to help look after him while I took Bean no.1 to nursery. It still meant little time for work and what not, but it meant that we were not all stuck inside again.

I am happy that yesterday I managed to make a couple of cards, the first of which I am sharing today…

UnikoOLstencil1

I still had my Fun Flowers Stencil out on my desk from when I made my cards for the Uniko March 2018 Design Team Blog Hop & Giveaway HERE. And I had been wanting to join in on the current “Less is More” one layer challenge HERE, which is to use stencils, perfect combo!

367 Stencils

I needed a little more of a mojo boost and mooched around my ‘go to’ challenges for a colour combo and thought the Color Throwdown challenge HERE looked fun, so gave it a whirl too!

swatch485

Plus to mix it up a little and as 3 is my favourite number I decided to join in on the AAA cards challenge fun HERE too, which is to use 1/3 of your card.

#111

With all that I managed to keep it all clean & simple! I used Altenew Rouge ink as my closest match to a peach colour, applied it through my Fun Flowers Stencil which I kept to the lower third of my one layer card. Then added the Simply Said Blocks happy birthday sentiment.

UnikoOLstencil1a

Ok, that’s all from me today. I think it’ll be another early night for this mummy after the Spring forward with the clocks and a poorly bean, it could be a night of little sleep, fingers crossed it isn’t! Until later in the week, thanks for stopping by today 🙂

March 2018 Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hey!

It’s time for another Uniko Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY – Whoohoo!! For those of you who are new around these parts I will explain what this post is all about…

Here at Uniko HQ it is just myself behind the screen, blogging, designing, packaging stamps & orders through the Uniko online shop, customer service and all the things in between. I *usually* release new product every other month for a number of reasons, but mainly so I can keep up with everything!
On non – release months like this month I like to set myself and the Design Team a challenge to look back at a previously released product and give it some more love.
Usually I choose just one product that was released the previous year or a once favourite that hasn’t seen much air time. This month with the recent additions to the Design Team, The Stencil Design Team and having released last month a co-ordinating stencil to the previously released Fun Flowers clear stamp set. I thought it would be nice to showcase both the stencil and clear stamp set.

I managed to find a little creative time and mojo and created a ‘twofer’ to share with you! I’ve been wanting to join in on the Twofer Challenge HERE since it first launched, but time hasn’t been on mind side 🙁

UnikoRevisit318b

For my first card I used just the Fun Flowers clear stamp set. Reaching for the CAS Colour & Sketches challenge colours HERE, that I still had on my desk! Some simple ‘off stamping’ to create a slightly muted cascade of flowers and embellishing with one of the large Fun Flower possibilities. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks.

UnikoRevisit318c

Next I decided to pair some monochrome Fun Flowers with a colourful stencilled die cut using the coordinating Fun Flowers Stencil and this time the CAS Colour & Sketches challenge colours in Distress Oxide Inks!

UnikoRevisit318e

I over embellished the flowers with some Altenew and Stampin’ Up! enamel dots, I just can’t resist using them! This time I chose the ‘HAPPY’ sentiment from Simply Said Blocks, which I will then add a sentiment inside such as ‘birthday’, ‘belated birthday’, etc etc.

UnikoRevisit318d

Ok, so I am entering my ‘twofer’ over HERE and I hope that I have inspired you to join in on that fun challenge and this weeks CAS Colours & Sketches challenge too 😉
