Introducing… Beautiful Blooms III

Hey!

Over HERE today the Uniko Design Team and I are introducing the soon to be released Beautiful Blooms III, be sure to hop on over and join in on the mini blog hop to see the awesome inspiration the team have created using this new set.

Anyway, I thought I would share a card here too…

This is a super simple card using all the layers of the bloom. I started out by stamping the solid flower in SU! Summer Sun onto a scrap of white card and with Cameo Coral onto my card base. The first detail is stamped in Pumpkin Pie on the first and Calypso Coral on the second. I then added the outline and smaller detail in VersaMark ink and heat embossing with detail white EP.

The leaves are from the set and the sentiment from Pure Florals: Cosmos. A few tiny rhinestones for some sparkle to finish it off.

Stamp Of The Week – English Country Garden Butterflies

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… English Country Garden – Butterflies

With February comes the start of my excitement and countdown to the Uniko February Release AND Uniko’s 4th Birthday! On Monday I kicked things off over HERE with a post that tells you how Uniko came to be, there is also a fun GIVEAWAY too 😉

I’m a bit late today due to an unforeseen lack of beans napping this afternoon, anyway, back to my SOTW card,

First of all I was inspired by the new challenge and join in with the celebrations over at “Less is More” this week as they celebrate their 5th Birthday! Congrats LIM 🙂

This week is a colour week, White on White with a splash of black or metallics and it is a FUN sponsored challenge, including Uniko as a sponsor!! Be sure to check out the fun & join in HERE, there are a few more Uniko February peeks over there too 😉

I also used the new Fusion Card Challenge HERE and below as I enjoyed using the sketch so much for yesterdays card.

I kept things really simple, stamping the trio of butterflies in Encore Gold ink. The larger of the butterflies is fussy cut out for a little dimension and I added a strip of gold CS die cut with a Mama Elephant die from the landscape collection.

February Sneak Peeks Day 2

YAY! I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, I am so pleased that you are liking the look of the release so far 🙂

Today we are continuing the countdown to our 4th Birthday, with a couple more sneak peeks of products being released on the 11th February. The first couple were HERE yesterday, in case you missed them!

First up we have a sneak peek at a new sentiment set…

This mini set is jam-packed full of sentiments for all sorts of occasions. They also pair lovely with so many other Uniko sentiment and image sets for even more possibilities. It’s certainly proving to be a ‘go to’ set for me!

Lastly but by no means least I got my ‘cute’ on when designing for this next set…

This set has a mixture of interchangeable sentiments in two fun an trendy fonts along with the cute bunny 😉 As you can see it would be perfect for Easter, but how about new baby, children’s cards or even Valentine’s???

Stamp Of The Week – English Country Garden Butterflies

Anyway, back to my SOTW card…

Well, I have no inspiration block this week using this clear stamp set 😉 Being one of my FAVES and a sucker for butterflies, the ideas just keep flowing. Seeing a perfect challenge adds to the fun too! This afternoon I saw the new Fusion Card Challenge HERE and seen below and immediately I knew what I wanted to do.

Out came the watercolour card a trio of SU! inks and my watercolour brush. This card was SO simple to make too. I literally stamped the butterflies in the trio of colours and did some quick, rough watercoloring over the image simply using the colour from the stamped image.

I fussy cut them out, added a touch of Wink Of Stella & adhered them to a panel of white CS which I have die cit using the Mama Elephant Landscape dies. This panel is then adhered to my card base using foam adhesive.

Ok, that’s all from me today, I’m tired this evening after a fun filled morning at a soft play & ball pit with the beans this morning and then a clingy bean due to teething this afternoon. His brother is currently serenading him to sleep!

February Release Sneak Peeks Day 1

The countdown to Uniko’s 4th Birthday has begun, I can hardly believe that this little company has made it this far!

It is all down to YOU awesome customers who make my heart happy when you purchase my products and the FABulous Uniko Design Team past & present who have promoted Uniko products. All this combined continues to make my dream of designing stamps, dies and running this business possible.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your custom and loyalty over these past 4 years, I truly appreciate each and everyone of you.

Now, how about some MORE sneaky peeks of what’s in store for this release. You may have seen a few around social media the past few days already, but here are the ‘official’ sneak peeks…

This is a peek of a multi step stamping floral set which is a follow on from a very popular series of ‘bloom’ stamps 😉 It contains an array of building opportunities and will sure to be a go to floral set and will pair with SO many other Uniko products.

Next up, is another set in the mini series of beverage themed sets…

This time round it is for all you tea lovers out there! I have kept the style the same as the previously released I LOVE Coffee, for more mix and match possibilities. It even coordinates with the set above, as the bloom was too nice not to appear again 😉

Stamp Of The Week – English Country Garden Butterflies

Anyway, back to my SOTW card…

A new challenge started over at CAS Colours & Sketches HERE today and our hostess this month Stef has kicked things off with a FAB cheerful colour combo…

Whilst I was creating my card that I have shared HERE, this idea popped into my head! What do you think? I started by stamping the butterfly in Melon Mambo then colouring with a light pink Copic marker in various places, which I then added a slight touch of Wink Of Stella to.

To stamp the 2 tone background using Pumpkin Pie I stamped the flower trio confetti from Balloon Bash twice before re-inking. I then repeated the process around the butterfly leaving a slight border. The sentiment is ANOTHER peek at one coming in the February Release 😉 Any guesses as to what the set might be about?!

Ok, that’s all from me today, I am not feeling so chirpy today, think I missed my not so little beans this afternoon. Strange how you look forward to some ‘me’ time and then when you get it I feel lost! Anyway, still lots to do for the February Release and Birthday celebrations. Stamp Of The Week – English Country Garden Butterflies

Anyway, back to my SOTW card…

Today I decided to take 30+ minutes out to sit and colour the butterfly using a select few of my Copic Marker collection. I used to have nearly all of the Copic colours but as I don’t use them as much as I should I narrowed my colours down to just a select few. I thought it would be nice to join in on Kathy Racoon’s 30 Day Color Challenge, #thedailymarker30day over at Kathy’s blog The Daily Marker.

Along with the colouring challenge I decided to add in a couple more! First up the layout of my card is based on the new Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below and the new Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below.

The leaf and floral detail behind the butterfly is from Background Builders: Vines and the sentiment is another peek of one from a set being released next week! I’m still in love with my Wink Of Stella pen and though I was happy with my colouring, I decided to add a good dose of sparkle too 😉

Anyway, back to my SOTW card…

For my card today I was inspired by a previous card I made using Beautiful Blooms II and Natures Treasures II, seen HERE and below. Having used the swirly leaves on yesterdays card it sparked the idea to CASE myself!

I kept the colours and the layout basically the same but switched the bloom for the butterfly and rearranged some of the swirls. The sentiment is an early sneak peek from the upcoming February Release 😉

With stamping the butterfly and not colouring it in I decided to add a sprinkling of glitter, perfect for the new challenge this week over at CASology HERE, who’s cue word is glitter.

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

Todays card was made straight after yesterdays SOTW card and so again, the colours of my card were inspired by the current Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below. I couldn’t resist playing along again as I do love a mix of Aqua and Pink 😉

This time I decided to focus upon the half blooms contained in the set and I also used one of the sentiments. The current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below was perfect too.

I started by stamping the stems and staggering them so that the flowers wouldn’t all be in a straight line. The blooms were stamped and fussy cut with the outline ones adhered with foam adhesive. I almost got all of the striped on the leaves lined up as they go along the card, but I have only just noticed that now 😉

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

So much for an afternoon of creativity yesterday, I’ve been hit with ANOTHER cold 🙁 Seems to be the same every time we go back to playgroups after a break. Anyway, after an afternoon of rest instead and an early night the mojo and energy have returned this evening – YAY!

My card today mixes SOTW and a Uniko Challenge reminder. The current Uniko Challenge HERE is an ‘Anything Goes Challenge with an option of LOVE.

At first look my card appears to fit into the ‘Anything Goes’ category, but if you look closely I have used the LOVE sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #5 and stamped it in VersaMark Dazzle ink on a diagonal across the white mat layer.

The colours of my card were inspired by the current Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below. I couldn’t resist playing along as I do love a mix of Aqua and Pink 😉
