Spring Rainbows!

Hey!

I jumped the gun a week early last week with my Uniko Challenge reminder post, so I am back again this week along with the Design Team and our Guest Designers to ‘officially’ remind you about our current challenge!

So this month we have the following challenge…

Spring is just around the corner for those in the Northern hemisphere and who doesn’t love pretty flowers and bunnies?!

Challenge Guidelines:

* You can use any products/stamps to enter the challenge, but we do LOVE to see you use your Uniko products. Plus, there is an extra chance to win a prize if you do 😉
* Email entries welcome, just email a photo of your card to bev@uniko.co.uk and I will add it to the Uniko Flickr gallery and link up!
* Share the challenge graphic in your post and link back to the challenge if possible 😉
This month we have TWO awesome Guest Designers joining us, Marianne and Milka, both where lucky winners of Uniko Challenge #38.
They’ve created wonderful inspiration for you…

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

First is this stunning rainbow of butterflies by Marianne, who has used the Uniko English Country Garden Butterflies clear stamp set. Isn’t it beautiful and I know that Marianne has used the new Distress Oxide inks, so be sure to stop on by for all the details on Marianne’s card HERE and leave some love 🙂

Next, Milka has used the recent Uniko Digital Stamp Collection I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts to make another beautiful Spring card…

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I just LOVE the simplicity of Milka’s card and the fussy cutting and colouring is stunning. Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Milka’s card HERE and leave some love 🙂

If you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

This is what I came up with to ‘hopefully’ inspire you…

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I used a couple of challenges to kick start my creativity, I’ve been busy in the studio finalising some new stamps and dies coming soon and in the next couple of months. Hence the lack of posts and my mojo has taken a hit too 😉

Anyway, I decided to turn to one of my favourite sketch challenges Freshly Made Sketches seen HERE and below. I decided to switch up the circle to a square as it suited the size of the stamps I was using.

FMS Final 281-001

I chose a ‘rainbow’ colour scheme as Uniko is the proud sponsor of the current TIME OUT Challenges challenge this fortnight HERE. This fortnight it is a ‘Inspired by Words’ challenge…

‘When it rains look for rainbows, when its dark look for stars’

USC#40f

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

Hopefully you can tell that I focused on the rainbow part of the words! I used Originally Organic Additions for the flowers and the stem, the sentiment is from Some Bunny.

That’s all I had time to create last night, but the Uniko Design team also have some Spring inspiration to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too 😉

Block Party Birthday Fusion!

Hey & Happy Sunday!

Yesterday evening the beans went for their second sleepover at their Grandparents, so in true fashion I indulged in some much needed creative time in the studio! It feels like ages since I was able to just sit & play, choosing a challenge to join in on and selecting whatever stamps and supplies I fancied using.

I saw the new Fusion Card Challenge HERE and seen below and I was inspired to pull out the recently release Blocky Party Birthday clear stamp.

Fusion Paris

I’ve also recently had a Stampin’ Up! order delivered, which contained much needed card stock in Smokey Slate, Basic Grey and Black all of which feature in the inspiration photo. So this is how I combined everything onto my card…

UnikoFusion1

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

It is a *really* simple card and didn’t take long at all to make. I started out by stamping the block party stamp in VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto Smokey Slate CS using my MISTI tool, so I could repeat stamp to get a good image.

UnikoFusion1a

{Click Photo to Enlarge}

I then used 4 Prismacolour Pencils to selectively colour the image and I tried to replicate the watery ombre effect on the ‘birthday’ part of the stamp. I am pretty pleased how the card turned out and I think it represents both parts of the Fusion Card Challenge nicely.

That’s all from me today, but if you want some more creative inspiration , be sure to head on over HERE when Lindsey has some wonderful one layer CAS masculine inspiration to share with you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Uniko Challenge #40 – Spring with an Optional Twist of Easter

Hey!

Welcome to the March/April 2017 Uniko challenge. We have another fun and easy challenge HERE this month to spark your creativity and I have changed the frequency and length of the challenges this year to hopefully give you a little more time to join in on the fun.

So this month we have the following challenge…

Spring is just around the corner for those in the Northern hemisphere and who doesn’t love pretty flowers and bunnies?!

This month we have TWO awesome Guest Designers joining us, Marianne and Milka, both where lucky winners of Uniko Challenge #38.

They’ve created wonderful inspiration for you…

First is this beautiful Spring Wreath by Marianne, who has used the Uniko Digital Stamp Collection  I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts last Autumn. Isn’t beautifully coloured, soft and Springy?! If you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Marianne’s card HERE and leave some love 🙂

Next, Milka has used the recent Uniko Digital Stamp Collection I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts to make this beautiful Spring card…

Another beautifully coloured card and if you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Milka’s card HERE and leave some love 🙂

I’ve not been feeling so well over the past few days, so I opted for a fairly quick CAS card 😉 The Originally Organic Additions clear stamp set has been really popular this week on the website and I was also inspired by Keren’s use of the set HERE too. So I grabbed my set and made this fairly quick CAS card…

USC#40

I opted for some bright and fresh colours for my card also giving me chance to use my newly acquired Lawn Fawn inks which I have limited colours of 😉 The wreath was stamped in Jalapeño and the tiny fussy cut buds in Sunflower, Plastic Flamingo and Merman. The ‘Easter Blessings’ sentiment is from Some Bunny clear stamp set and stamped in Manatee ink.

USC#40a

The layout of my card is inspired by this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch seen HERE and below, hence my offset stamping of the heart wreath.

That’s all from me, but the Uniko Design team also have some Spring inspiration to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too 😉

March 2017 Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

It’s the 11th of the month, which means as it is not a release month (sorry, I promise it’ll be worth the wait till next month) the Design Team and I are here today with the usual Design Team Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!

This month we have decided to dust off and revisit the previously released Some Bunny clear stamp set…

Here is what I created using the set…

UnikoMarch17Revisit

{Click Photo for a closer look}

I needed some creative inspiration, as my lack of energy and mojo is a little lacking, so I turned to the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge seen HERE and below for the layout of my card.

FMS Final 278-001

I decided to dust off my Prismacolour Pencils to colour in the bunny, which I stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa, so the lines blended in with the colouring. I decided not to add a sentiment, so that I could use the card for a number of different occasions, such as Mother’s Day, Easter, A Just Because or New Baby card. As I have added pink accents, it does lend itself more to the feminine side.

UnikoMarch17Revisit1

{Click Photo for a closer look}

That’s all from me, but how about some fresh new and AWESOME inspiration using this set from the Design Team?! Don’t forget to comment along the Design Team blogs to be in the chance of winning the Some Bunny clear stamp set and an £10 eGift Certificate.  Or a £15 Gift Certificate if you already own the clear stamps. You have until Midnight GMT Friday 25th March to get your comments in.

Happy 3rd Birthday TIME OUT Challenges!

Hey!

Today Uniko is joining in with TIME OUT Challenges to celebrate their 3rd Birthday and we are also  very proud to be one of the sponsors!

This fortnight the challenge HERE is a theme…

Love/Friendship with the Optional Twist of ‘Spotlight Stamping’

Spotlight Stamping is defined as adding colour to only one raised spot of your image. For all of the challenge details, information on the other sponsors and a wonderful array of inspiration CLICK HERE.

The Uniko Design Team and myself have joined in on the fun and created some cards to inspire you to join in and this is what I created…

UnikoTimeOut1

{Click Photo for a closer look}

I’m still in LOVE with the NEW Uniko Style clear stamp set released at the weekend, I don’t think the set has left my desk since I first inked it up! I’ve combined the blooms from Uniko Style with a sentiment from Originally Organic Additions (currently available on backorder and due in stock on the 10th March)

I’m loving this Spring fresh colour scheme too, I used it HERE on my CAS Colours & Sketches card too and couldn’t resit using it again. The layout of my card is from the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge seen HERE and below.

FMS Final 277-001

I used my MISTI to stamp each of the blooms and all of the layers. It was quite time consuming as I’ve used a total of 9 colours, but totally worth it.  Because if I didn’t get a clean stamped image with the first stamp, I could ink up and stamp again, this is such a useful aspect of using the MISTI.

UnikoTimeOut1a

{Click Photo for a closer look}

The design is a little busier than my normal CAS style, but I wanted to show how pretty this bloom is stamped in a pattern. Ok, that’s all from me, but be sure to click on the links below to see what some of the Uniko DT have created to inspire you…

Uniko Sponsors “Less is More” and Birthday Celebrations!

Hey!

I’m super duper pleased you have popped by today as again we have LOTS more fun to share with you! Not only is it the Uniko February & 5th Birthday Release Day, but we are celebrating along with “Less is More” and their birthday celebrations!

This post is simply awesome! As myself and Uniko are proud to be sponsoring the challenge  over at “Less is More” this week. This week the challenge HERE is a sketch…

The Uniko Design Team and myself have joined in on the fun and created some cards using the sketch to inspire you to join in and this is what I created…

{CLICK Photo for a closer look}

As you can see I couldn’t resist using the NEW Explosion! Additions set, the sketch just lent itself to it perfectly. I used my MISTI tool to stamp both the halftone explosion in Lawn Fawn Sunflower and the explosion from the original Explosion! set in VersaFine Onyx Black onto white two card panels.

I then used my new Stampin’ Up! Stitched Framelits dies to die cut the circle and adhere it using foam adhesive. The WOW! is coloured with markers and fussy cut out and the small trio of horizontal lines are from the original Explosion! clear stamp set.

As it is Release Day here at Uniko, I decided to make one more card using the NEW Originally Organic Additions clear stamp set.

UnikoSponsorsLIM2

Again I have used my new stitched dies and I layered it with an old Papertrey Ink doily die. The flower is stamping in Memento and coloured with Copic Markers and I added some Bakers Twine to follow the sketch.

Ok, that’s all from me, but be sure to follow the links below to see what some of the Uniko Design Team created…

That’s all from the Uniko DT and myself for now, but be sure to head on over HERE to see what the “Less is More” Design Team have created to inspire you and to join in on the fun too. I hope to see you in the gallery!

I’ll be back AGAIN soon with the traditional February 2017 & 5th Birthday Release, Reveal, Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Introducing… Uniko Style

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the February & 5th Birthday product release are almost over, we’ve only todays product to introduce, which means tomorrow is release day!

Yesterday the Design Team and I introduced Explosion! Additions. If you missed it and the previous products on Wednesday, Tuesday and Monday you can catch up HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

Today we are back to introduce you to Uniko Style. Now, those of you who know me and my love for Marimekko and the origin of Uniko then this set will be no surprise to you. Those who have requested it I introduce…Uniko Style, a Scandinavian inspired floral building set and I am in LOVE! I really got to sit and ‘play’ with this set properly yesterday and it is better than I imagined it to be 😉

IntroUnikoStyle2{CLICK Photo for a larger view}

This first card was inspired by the current Freshly Made Sketch layout seen HERE and below. I had used it on yesterdays card HERE and whilst making that this idea came to me. The set contains a small stamp which can be repeatedly stamped in the round to create a dandelion design. I have done this down the right hand side of my base card in Lawn Fawn Manatee ink.

FMS Final 276-001

However, I didn’t want the overall design to be too busy, so instead of repeating the stamped design on the left hand side, I decided to add a strip of Papertrey Ink Soft Stone card. The Uniko Style flower is stamped in Altenew ink and the sentiment is from Originally Organic Additions.

IntroUnikoStyle2a

My last card for today is inspired by the new CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below.

And this is the result…

IntroUnikoStyle3

It was quite a time consuming design to stamp using my MISTI, but WOW, the results were even better than I could have imagined 😉

Happy 5th Birthday Uniko!

Happy Birthday Uniko!

Today we are celebrating Uniko’s 5th Birthday. I can’t quite believe that Uniko has made it this far! What an amazing 5 years it has been…

Since I began this adventure back in 2012 awesome life events have taken place. From getting married in Hawaii in Sept 2013 to having twins in Sept 2014 and moving house in Feb 2015! Many of you have been with me since the beginning and have been a part of these along with being truly valued customers and supporters of myself and Uniko.

THANK YOU

Without you Uniko wouldn’t be celebrating today, so to show my appreciation I am offering FREE Worldwide Shipping, this weekend!

Usually by now, I would have shared sneak peeks, introduced new products and had a release blog hop today and every other 11th of the month.

This year I have decided to take the pressure off myself a little bit by not having a ‘set’ schedule for new releases. Being a full time mummy to 2 two and a half year olds has enough stresses of it’s own!

So, instead we have a Birthday Linky Party!

All you need to do is create a birthday card and link it up HERE via the Linky Tool at the bottom of the post.

The Design Team and I have got the party started and created some birthday cards to inspire you. Be sure to stop on by the blogs via the links and leave some LOVE 🙂

Here is what I created…

Uniko5Bday1

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I decided to break out some NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff), some mini distress inks that I bought a few weeks ago to create a ink blended panel. The layout of my card was inspired by the new CAS(E) this Sketch! seen HERE and below.

CTS_208

I then dusted off a trio of Uniko clear stamps, All Occasion Sentiments #2 for the large HAPPY. Simply Said Birthday for the small BIRTHDAY and Balloon Bash for the balloon and string.

Uniko5Bday1a

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I used my MISTI for placement of the sentiment and also the balloon string. The balloon is stamped in Hero Arts Mint to Green ombre ink and dusted with clear Wink Of Stella for some added sparkle 🙂

Uniko Challenge #39 – Anything Goes with an Optional Twist of Love

Hey!

Welcome to the January 2017 Uniko challenge and our first challenge for 2017. We have another fun and easy challenge this month to spark your creativity and I have changed the frequency and length of the challenges this year to hopefully give you a little more time to join in on the fun.

So this month we have the following challenge to inspire you…

Anything goes! Don’t you just love these kinds of challenges, I sure do. I love seeing everyones creativity and individuality shine through their creations.

Challenge Guidelines:

* Share the challenge graphic in your post and link back to the challenge if possible 😉

This month we have another awesome Guest Designer joining us, Izzy from Izzy Scrap. Izzy has been a regular participant in the Uniko Challenges and was the lucky winner of Challenge #37. Now check out this stunner Izzy has created…

Isn’t this just amazing? I love the embossed circle frame around the stamped heart using a selection of tiny Uniko clear stamps. Be sure to hop on over to Izzy’s blog HERE to find out more and leave some love.

Here’s what I came up with…

USC#39

It’s been a while since I had some time to join in on a challenge, so I decided to use a couple to inspire my creativity. First the layout of my card is from the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge seen HERE and below.

FMS Final 271-001

Secondly, I needed a colour combo, so went the Color Throwdown challenge HERE and seen below.

swatch426

Usually I’d use a lot of red, but instead I used it to make more of a masculine Valentine card. I also limited the red to highlight the stamped sentiment panel and accentuated the lone red ‘Be Mine’ with red hearts. I used my Misti to stamp the panel 🙂

USC#39a

As always the Uniko Design Team have some FABulous inspiration for you too, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too 😉

Stamp Of The Week – Rustic Christmas

Hey!

Welcome back and welcome back Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). I took a little hiatus with this feature as I prepared for the recent Uniko clear stamp set release and the recent Happy Stampers Festival. But I am back today with a new chosen clear stamp set to give some fresh inky love to!

This week I have chosen Rustic Christmas

RusticChristmasPP

I’ve a couple of reasons for my choice this week, firstly this set has not long arrived back in stock and secondly I ‘really’ need to make a conscious effort to start on my Christmas cards so I am not in a huge rush with only a few days to go!

Anyway, onto my card for today…

2016SOTW90

{click photo for a closer view}

This fun little clear stamp set comes with some dinky baubles and often I forget to give these little accent stamps the love they deserve!

When I saw the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch! HERE and seen below, I thought it would be fun to create a row of colourful, sparkly baubles. I also used the colour inspiration from the Fusion Card Challenge seen HERE and below.

CTS_194

New Banner-018

I ‘tried’ to recreate the wonky stacked effect of the chairs in the photo too. I’m not sure I quite achieved that, but overall I am happy with the result. The sentiment is also from the set and it is in one of my favourite modern fonts.

2016SOTW90a

{click photo for a closer view}

I decided to keep this card ‘very’ mail friendly and simply adhered it to my card base using double sided tape. I added a little bit of clear Wink Of Stella to the baubles for that Christmas Sparkle and left it as that!

That’s all I have to share today, I will be back tomorrow with more using this set. Don’t forget that the set is discounted HERE for this week only.

Until tomorrow, thanks for stopping by 🙂
