Designer Dies Natures Treasures II Release Day, Blog Hop & Giveaway!

Happy Weekend!

Such a happy fun day, as not only am I at the Stamping Together Festival in Port Sunlight (keep and eye on my social media stories), it is also Release Day for the Designer Dies Natures Treasures II.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the hop. And where I have introduced the new Designer Dies. You can also find links to all the Brand Ambassador blogs.

So let’s have a look at what I created today…

You might remember that on the first day of introductions I made a traditional shaker card using the solid leaf die. Well, I had this crazy idea of making a shaker card using the open leaf die too! Which is what I have done here.

It’s a little more time consuming, but I think the results are worth it. To achieve this I cut about 5 or six of the leaves from white card. I then used my fine tip glue to glue them together to create the height you would normally get from foam adhesive with a traditional shaker card.

I then glued the leaf in place on my card base, added the sprinkles and die cut the solid leaf from acetate to keep the sprinkles in and then added another white leaf die cut over the top. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks and I added some enamel dots from my stash.

For my second card today I wanted to recreate a card I made HERE, where I fussy cut the leaves. But I wanted to see how it would look with the leaves stamped and die cut instead.

As you can see I changed the colours slightly. Choosing some of the new Concord & 9th colours.

I think both versions of the card look good, but the die cut one was quicker and has more detail with the open leaf. However, if you didn’t want the open leaf die cut, that is still an option as you can stamp onto the reverse of the solid leaf die cut as the leaves are the same size, but in reverse.

That’s all I have here on the blog today. But I will be demoing the dies at the show in Port Sunlight today and I will do my best to share them on social media too.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Introducing… Fun Flowers

Hey!

I’m super happy you have stopped by today, as today the Design Team and I are introducing the second of the mini April Release clear stamp sets.

Hopefully you have hopped here from the Uniko Blogspot blog HERE. If not be sure to pop on over to see more from myself and the Design Team using Fun Flowers.

Lets have a look at my card…

Class1

Yep, I’m still on that shaker card making roll! This time I couldn’t resist adding some stamped, coloured and punched out tiny daisies to my shaker mix!

Class1a

The flower on the edge of the shaker frame is a layered flower. I stamped the medium daisy, coloured and fussy cut it out. The top most flower is the tiny daisy stamped and then the small scalloped flower stamped, fussy cut and coloured. I layered the flowers together using DST.

Tomorrow I will be sharing a photo of different combinations of how the stamps in this set can be stamped!

That’s all from me just now showcasing this set, I will be back later today with my Stamp Of The Week card using I LOVE Coffee. Until then, be sure to stop by HERE for more inspiration using this set.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp Of The Week – Sweet Baby

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Sweet Baby

SweetBabyPP

I enjoyed making yesterdays shaker card so much that I couldn’t resist making another! This time I used the cute teddy bear in the set…

2016SOTW49

I decided I wanted to play along with the current “Less is More” challenge HERE which is to use non white white space! Basically a card with a coloured card base and plenty of uncluttered space on the card.

Less-Is-More-Header

Oh, and you might want to join in on the challenges this month over there as Uniko is the sponsor this month 😉

So, with that in mind I decided to use a kraft card base and used the same Papertrey Inks Mega Limitless Layers Dies to create the shaker frame along with a Sizzix circle die. The shaker mix is from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards and is the Phosphorescence mix. The sentiment is a mix of Sweet Baby and I added a few SU! It’s My Party Enamel dots.

Again, I decided to make the card gender neutral and coloured my bears in shades of aqua to match the sequin shaker mix.

Ok, that’s all from me today and using this set. I will be back with more to share tomorrow with a new SOTW. Don’t forget that this set is discounted HERE on the website until tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Stamp Of The Week – Sweet Baby

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Sweet Baby

SweetBabyPP

Whilst creating yesterdays SOTW card using the duck and ducklings I had an idea for a shaker card and continued the theme, stamped and coloured a few extra ducks to create todays shaker card…

2016SOTW48

I’m super pleased how this one turned out 🙂 I used Papertrey Inks Mega Limitless Layers Dies to create the shaker frame along with a Sizzix circle die. The shaker mix is from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards and is the Phosphorescence mix. The sentiment is a mix of Sweet Baby and Simply Said and I added a few SU! It’s My Party Enamel dots.

2016SOTW48a

I chose a Soft Stone card base to mix with the yellow and shades of aqua, which creates a general baby card suitable for both genders. So fun to make I might just have to do a teddy bear one 😉

Ok, that’s all from me today, I will be back with more to share using this set tomorrow. Don’t forget that this set is discounted this week HERE on the website.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Hello 2016!

HEY & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I do hope 2016 has begun well for you all and I wish you all a healthy, happy and creative New Year.

We saw in the New Year quietly at home and watched the fireworks in London on the TV, with a hot chocolate then went to bed! So rock ‘n’ roll these days – LOL!
I also had a little creative time before the New Year arrived and I made a card to share with you this evening…

A ‘Hello 2016’ shaker card. I used the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below & this time I added in the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below.

To make my shaker window I used a die from SU! Square Pillow Box collection and the shaker mix is from Little Things From Lucy’s Cards. I used Uniko Classic Numbers to stamp the 2016 inside the shaker frame & the ‘hello’ die is from Mama Elephant die cut in gold CS and mounted over the top of two glittered stripes of double sided tape. You can never have too much glitter & bling to ring in a New Year 🙂

Today has been fairly quiet, this morning was spent with the beans just playing with their Christmas toys and me & my husband joining in 😉 Then this afternoon I hosted New Years Day dinner for my husbands Mam, Dad & brother which was lovely. The beans love spending time with their grandparents 🙂
Now the beans are in bed and the family have left I am enjoying some more creative time & preparing my cards to mail out tomorrow. One of my many New Year resolutions is to send more of the cards I make!

Ok, that’s all I have to share with you here today, I do have another card HERE on the other Uniko blog. I will be back on Monday with a NEW Stamp Of The Week, dusting it off & showing it some New Year love 😉

Until then, thank you for stopping by & here’s to another FABULOUS & EXCITING Year, with many Uniko creations & surprises 😉
