Introducing… Mid Century Modern Christmas

Welcome to Day 2 of the product introductions for our July/August Release.

Hopefully you didn’t miss yesterdays product introduction, but if you did you can catch up HERE. Today myself and the Brand Ambassadors are showcasing another of the new additions to the Mid Century Modern series with Mid Century Modern Christmas.

If you love the Mid Century Modern series as much as I do, I think you will love this new addition and I am sure you will have fun pairing it with lots of the current and new products in this series.

Thos who know me well, know I get smitten with fonts and this is one that I have uniquely adapted to have a Mid Century Modern look to it is one I have added to my list.

Here, on this first card I have used the smaller version from yesterdays introduction. But you will see further along today the larger version of two sentiments contained in this small A7 clear stamp set. Along with this fun Christmas tree design.

I love a geometric too! So although this has a Christmas tree intention to it, there are lots of other uses for this stamp!

My second card shows the size difference of the sentiments. The Merry is from todays set and the Christmas is from yesterdays set.

I created a colourful cascade of the Merry and added a fussy cut Christmas in black. Then added a trio of Christmas stars.

Lastly for today I used the full large sentiment. Apologies from the get go, it appears I had my wonky eyes on when adhering the sentiment with foam tape!

The diamond square accent I have used on the background is from another clear stamp set we are introducing later this week. But I couldn’t resist pairing it with the sentiment and Christmas tree.

Another fun set to add to the Mid Century Modern collection and I am excited to see the combinations the Brand Ambassadors have come up with and even more so what YOU come up with!

Don’t forget to hop along with the Brand Ambassadors HERE.

HAPPY Shadows

Hey & Happy Holiday Weekend!

Yep, it’s May Day weekend here in the UK, which means we get tomorrow as an extra day to our weekend! As it is hubby’s birthday tomorrow too, we have come away for a little family getaway and our first taking the beans anywhere overnight!

We are staying in Wrexham ‘just’ in North Wales (also hubby & the beans first time to Wales) and then we are off to Chester Zoo tomorrow, I can’t wait and it’s already been a wonderful adventure with memories to treasure 🙂

Anyway, last night I had a little time to create and made this card to share with you…

This is an idea I have been wanting to get on to a card for ages now, but never got round to actually doing. That was until I saw the new challenge HERE over at “Less is More”.

LIM #326

This week the challenge is shadow and it was the perfect time to test out my shadow stamping with the large HAPPY from All Occasion Sentiments #2.

Having a MISTI tool is perfect for this technique and makes lining up & stamping the sentiment and images a breeze! I started by stamping the HAPPY in Altenew Parrot Ink and then off setting the HAPPY slightly and stamping in VersaFine Onyx Black ink.

I repeated the process with the solid square from Background Builders: Squared which will be back in stock on Tuesday – YAY!

Ok, that’s all I have to share for today, I must make the most of an early night away and get some much needed beauty sleep 😉 I will be back tomorrow though with the first of the Uniko May Release Sneak Peeks!

Until then, thanks for stopping by!

November 2016 Reveal, Release & GIVEAWAY!

Hey & Welcome to the Uniko November 2016 Reveal, Release & GIVEAWAY!

As we’ve quite a few new followers here, (“Hello & Thank you”) I will explain what’s going on! Here at Uniko I *USUALLY* only release new products every other month. This is for a number of reasons, firstly, being an avid paper crafter myself and knowing the current economic climate I know ‘some’ are on a limited budget when it comes to buying new stash, so this way you’re not tempted to splurge too much every month.

The second reason is that it is just me here at Uniko HQ. I currently run this little business single handedly, designing, blogging, demoing, classes, packing. Alongside that I am a full time mum to 2 year old twin boys. So releasing every other month gives me chance to keep my head above water, well…just about! However, with having a break over the Summer with releases I wanted to squeeze one last release in before the end of the year!

So I am back today, with the help of the awesome design team to introduce you to the three clear stamp sets available to purchase HERE now!

If you missed any of the product introductions, you can catch up HERE and HERE.

Let’s have a look at the three clear stamp sets…

First up is Christmas Pop, this is a FUN geometric styled Christmas Tree building stamp set. Along with the obvious Christmas theme it is also suitable for other occasions and stylised creations.

Next we have a mini Christmas Sentiment clear stamp set called Most Wonderful. This set contains two full mixed font sentiments and then a multitude of mix font sentiment building stamps.

Lastly but by no means least we have a fun addition to the ‘Rustic’ collection! This fun mini set has so many possibilities on its own, but pair it with sentiments and images from Rustic Christmas and Background Builders: Vines and Vines Winter Additions for even MORE possibilities!

Now I have done all the formal introductions, how about some more cards using these sets to inspire you…

First up I have used Christmas Pop in a non Christmas way. This set contains some fun geometric triangles and I couldn’t resit using them to create a funky background for a birthday card.

I used two of the triangles to create my BG and then I coloured sections of the decreasing triangle one using my Stampin’ Up! bright marker collection. I then stamped a sentiment from Simply Said Birthday onto a banner die cut (Project Life) and adhered it to the card using foam adhesive.

Next I decided to go Christmassy, I really need to build up my stash of Christmas cards ready to send out 😉 This time I opted for a reasonably quick CAS card using the outline tree and some Papertrey Ink Bitty Dot Designer Paper.

After fussy cutting the Christmas Trees, which too the longest! I stacked/layered them one on top of the other leaving a small border to create taller elongated tree. The sentiment is from Most Wonderful and I finished the card off with a few sparkly star embellishments.

My last card for today uses Rustic Wreath. This time I used the wreath to make a garland along the edge of my card. I embellished the garland with a couple of the smaller stamps from the set to fill it out and add interest.

I then stamped the ‘deck the halls’ sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink, to tie in with the berry sprig stamped in the garland. To finish the card off I stamped a cluster of the smaller images from the set to embellish the sentiment as it needed a little something to balance the card out.

Introducing… Background Builders: Triangulate

Hey!

Welcome back to the next product introduction, here is a little reminder of the Sneak Peek I shared the other day…

So the title of this set kinda gives it away really and you have an idea what’s in store, though along with its geometric qualities it also has a tribal feel to it. Both of which are still on trend within the paper crafting world.

How about a card to show you a little of what this set has in store…

My card today was inspired by THIS cushion I pinned on Pinterest, isn’t it just lovely…

Original Source

Along with stamps from Background Builders: Triangulate I also used Background Builders: Squared. I added another of the sentiments from All Occasion Sentiments #6 too and fussy cut them out, adhering the beautiful with foam adhesive.

That’s all from me today, but I know the DT have some FABulous projects to share with you so be sure to hop along to their blogs and leave some love…
