Introducing… Wonderful Day Clear Stamp Set

Hey!

Welcome to Day 2 of the December 2018 Release product introductions.

I am so happy you have decided to pop by again. The countdown to the December Release is in full swing and this is the fun part where you get to see the sneak peeks I shared HERE in action on cards & projects.

Yesterday I introduced 2 NEW Uniko Stencils called In The Forest and Let it Snow. You can catch up HERE and HERE.

As December is a super busy time for everyone, it is just me doing the product introductions for this release. Though the Uniko DT will be joining me on Release Day for our traditional blog hop :)
Anyway, I have one more card to share using this new clear stamp set called Wonderful Day…
IntroWonderfulDay3
For this card I focused on using the solid flower images and used 2 shades of Altenew inks for my stamp layering. I love these inks for their colours & their ease in not having to match colours for stamp layering! This card was pretty quick to make 😉
IntroWonderfulDay3a

I used Dew Drops & Aqualicious, Soft Lilac & Lavender Fields and Frosty Pink & Coral Berry for my colours. I stamped another of the sentiments from the set onto a small piece of Papertrey Ink Soft Stone card and also added just the small leaf stem to the flowers. I am in love with Simply White Gloss Nuvo Drops and I can’t stop using them on all my cards!

That’s all I am sharing here today using this new clear stamp set, but if you haven’t already, be sure to check out the cards I shared over HERE 😉

As it is the season of giving, each day of the introductions I will be randomly selecting one lucky comment from either this blog post, the Uniko website blog post, Facebook or Instagram to receive an eGift Certificate code to the value of £10! So be sure to leave a lovely comment 😉 Winners will be announced on Tuesday 11th December before the release!

December 2018 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hey!

Yep, I must be a little crazy, but I thought I would squeeze in one more release before 2018 is over 😉 So, I am super happy to share the December 2018 Release Sneak Peeks with you…

This month I am releasing 3 NEW clear stamp sets…

This first peek you might have seen on Social Media over the past couple of weeks 😉 It is the latest Pure Florals flower and one that has been highly requested for some time now.

This second peek is of a new Winter themed set, with my favourite, snowflakes!! And lastly, but by no means least the last clear stamp set for this release is another fun modern flower builder clear stamp set.

And how about a couple more Uniko Stencils to add into the mix?!

Just a ‘little’ release this month 😉 I will be back tomorrow with the first product introduction, I do hope you will join me and I look forward to hearing what you think about these Sneak Peeks :)

* Release Day is Tuesday 11th December and all the products will be available to purchase at 9pm GMT *

Thanks for stopping by today.

Lest We Forget…

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

UnikoThinkingOfYou

A simple, yet poignant symbol of remembering. I have used Uniko Style to stamp my poppy and added a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks II.

Introducing… Background Builders: Happy Hexagons & Beautiful

Hey!

Welcome back to day 2 of the August 2018 Release product introductions.

This is the fun part, you now get to see all the sneak peeks in action. The Design Team have worked their socks off and created an abundance of inspiration to share with you over the coming days :)

Yesterday myself and the Design Team re-introduced the ‘So Much’ mini clear stamp set HERE, be sure to check out all the inspiration and comment along the hop 😉

Today we are introducing 2 new clear stamp sets, Background Builders: Happy Hexagons & Beautiful. Hopefully you have hopped on from the start HERE, where I have shared a couple of projects using the new stamps.

Now I have some more inspiration to share using Background Builders: Happy Hexagons…

IntroBBhappyhex3

Have you noticed the stamp design in the Background Builders Geometric collection that appears in each set? I’ve used it on this first card, if not! I love the garland style of this stamp and as I want all the sets to work as a collection, apart from the correlation of them being geometrics I wanted something to flow between them and this stamp design works perfectly.

InroBBhappyhex3a

On this first card I started by die cutting a square window mask to stamp the hexagon garland. It is such a fun stamp and with it being long and thin, it can be easily manipulated on a stamping block or in a stamping tool to be curved or made into a wavy design. Again, I used Altenew inks and paired it with a sentiment from Birthday Sentiments.

Next, I was inspired by the current challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches seen HERE and below.

FMS Final 350-001

I used the open hexagon strip stamp across my base card, stamping it in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I then used my Diamond Press Hexagon Dies (purchased from Crafters Companion) to die cut 2 hexagons, one from Lemon Lime Twist and one from Berry Burst, I just love this colour pairing!

IntroBBhappyhex2

I stamped one of the larger hexagons onto the Lemon Lime Twist die cut and layered it slightly onto the Berry Burst die cut. The sentiment is one of my faves from Simply Said Blocks.

IntroBBhappyhex2a

Lastly, but by no means least I have a card to share with you using Beautiful…

IntroBeautiful2

This is another card from the Uniko Summer Stamping Retreat and I think my favourite! I love the juicy bright colours and added little leaf sprig from a clear stamp set being introduced tomorrow 😉 The sentiment is another of the mix and match options in the set and I have added some Bakers Twine & Nuvo Drops to embellish the sentiment strip.

IntroBeautiful2a

That’s all I have to share with you today using these new clear stamp sets, but I know the Design Team have created even more fabulous inspiration to showcase them, be sure to hop along!

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed that hop and I am all inspired to get inky! I’d love to know your thoughts on these clear stamp sets and which is your favourite of the two, that is if you can decide?! That’s all from myself and the Design Team today, but be sure to come by tomorrow for even more product introductions :)

Introducing… So Much

Hey!

Welcome to the first day of the August 2018 Release product introductions.

This is the fun part, you now get to see all the sneak peeks in action. The Design Team have worked their socks off and created an abundance of inspiration to share with you over the coming days :)

Today we are introducing So Much a mini clear stamp set, which was the limited edition December 2017 Release Freebie. From Sunday 19th August, it will officially be available to purchase for those that didn’t get their inky mitts on the limited supply back then!

Hopefully you have hopped on over from the Uniko Blogspot Blog HERE, I’ve shared a previous card using this set over there.

Here is a couple of new cards using this little set…

IntroSoMuch1

This little set features a lovely floral bouquet and you will recognise the flowers as a version from Flower Power #6 and the leaves & foliage are from Originally Organic. Along with the main floral image there are a couple of mix & match sentiments.

For this first card I decided to create a fun ink blended colour block section. I was inspired by Pantone’s colour of 2018, Ultraviolet and I opted for a sentiment from another new clear stamp set being introduced tomorrow 😉

IntroSoMuch1a

I used Post-it Notes to mask off the bottom section of my one layer card and to keep it interesting I angled the section too. I then randomly sectioned off each block, also at an angle and simply applied each of the Altenew Purple ink colours.

The floral bouquet and sentiment are stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and I added some Altenew enamel dots to finish the design off.

Next, I decided on a little colouring and fussy cutting…

IntroSoMuch2

I started out by stamping the floral bouquet onto Stampin’ Up! Whisper White card in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I then used some Copic Markers to colour the image in. I then decided to fussy cut the image out, it is a fussy cut, but it is something I find quite therapeutic on a night once The Beans are asleep in bed!

IntroSoMuch2a

The sentiment is one of the mix and match options from the set and I still prefer to stamp my sentiments in VersaFine Onyx Black ink as I think it gives such a nice crisp finish. The floral bouquet is adhered to the card using foam adhesive and I trimmed the left hand side edge that overhung the card base.

Ok, that’s all from me, but how about some more inspiration, why not grab a cup of your favourite beverage and hop along with the team…?

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed that hop and I am all inspired to give the set even more inky love! I’d love to know your thoughts on this clear stamp set AND if you own it already I’d love you to share some of your projects with me using it!

That’s all from myself and the Design Team today, but be sure to come by tomorrow for even more product introductions :)

Hugs

August 2018 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hello!

Sorry that it has taken SO long for me to organise the next release here at Uniko, life got a little crazy at one point. Now we are half way through the Summer holidays here in the UK and the majority of my time is keeping The Beans entertained & having days out to enjoy the sunshine we have been having.

Anyway, it is finally time to share the August 2018 Release Sneak Peeks with you – YAY! So let’s get to the peeks..

First up a peek at an addition to the geometric Background Builders. This set has many fun possibilities and is great for your masculine themed projects and pairs wonderfully with the previously released Bee Happy clear stamp set 😉

Those that know me know that I like a new floral and this little set is one of those that has a ‘beautiful’ floral duo and sentiments to match.

I’ve had many requests for more BIG & BOLD sentiments, so here is the next in the series. Can you guess the word from this peek?!

This next week is a fun framed floral stamp. It has so many fun possibilities and it features some Flower Power and other motifs from current clear stamp sets. I’m looking forward to showing you more of this stamp in the coming days 😉

Lastly, I decided it was time to ‘officially’ release this little clear stamp set…

This was the Release Day freebie from back in December 2017, called So Much. From Release Day (19th August), it will be available for purchase. I’m looking forward to sharing more with you all using this set.

That’s all the Sneak Peeks for this little release! Be sure to join us tomorrow, as the DT and I begin the product introductions :)

Until then, I would love to know what you think of the sneak peeks!

Uniko Challenge #47 – Photo Inspiration & Optional Twist Birthday

Hey!

Welcome to the May/June, 2018 Uniko challenge.

This month we have a beautiful photo that we hope will inspire you to play along. Lots of ways to be inspired by the photo – the colours, the flowers, the grasses, the gorgeous vase or maybe the suitcase will give you a vacation vibe. Any way this photo talks to you is ok by us, but if you’d like an extra challenge then play along with our super simple twist of BIRTHDAY.

As you’ve probably noticed the Uniko DT has grown this year with the addition of four talented ladies onto our Stencil Team. So of course there’s going to be even more DT inspiration to get your creativity flowing and we also have the most wonderful Guest Designer – Sue – joining in with us for this challenge.

Her winning card from the last challenge really caught our eye here at Uniko and if you go visit her blog you’ll find oodles more fabulous inspiration.

Guest Designer – Sue

Loving her use of Uniko goodies on this deliciously pretty card.
And here is what I came up with to hopefully inspire you…
USC#47
I was particularly inspired by the flower blooms in the vase and wanted to give Flower Power #8 from the May 2018 Release a little more inky love. I used a recent purchase of the Altenew Tea Party ink collection to stamp the trio of flowers. I then fussy cut the blooms out and adhered them to a die cut panel using double sided and foam adhesive. The die I used is the Pretty Pink Posh Scalloped Borders 1 collection.
USC#47b
I also stamped the individual leaves from Flower Power #8 to create a duo of leave and again fussy cut them out. The sentiment is from Birthday Sentiments & I added some Ripened Pumpkin Nuvo Drops to embellish the flowers and panel.
USC#47a
I was also inspired by the pattern on the pretty suitcase, so I replicated the idea using the Stylised Floral Stencil, also from the May 2018 Release. I used Crushed Olive Distress Ink. The layout of my card is from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge seen HERE and below.
FMS Final 337-001
That’s all from me today, but the Uniko Design team also have some inspiring card ideas to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too 😉

Introducing… Flower Power #8

Hey!

Welcome to day 5 of the May 2018 Release product introductions!

Today we are introducing the next clear stamp set in the Flower Power series. It’s been an age since I added to this series and when I stumbled upon another floral in my archive of designs it seemed perfect to add to the Flower Powers :)

Hopefully you have hopped on over from our AMAZING Guest Designer Anna’s blog. If not, be sure to have a look at Anna’s colourful and cheerful scrapbook layout HERE.

I’ve one more card to share today using this clear stamp set…

IntroFP#82

I’ve been seeing Lime Green with Black & White a lot recently and I thought it would be fun to use the colour combo for my card.

IntroFP#82a

I’ve also been seeing a lot of partial stencilled backgrounds behind images, so I thought I would try my hand at it! I used the Scattered Polka Dot stencil and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink. I still need a little practice with my faded blending technique, but I was pleased with the results.

Ok, that is all I’ve had time to make so far using this set :( So many ideas, not enough time! Luckily I have a FAB design team who’ve made amazing projects to share with you. Be sure to hop on round and leave some LOVE.

GIVEAWAY ALERT! As this is a Kindness themed clear stamp set, I will be giving one away to one lucky commenter!

One Layer Stencil Fun!

Hey & Happy Monday!

I do hope your week has begun well? Mine started well, but then took an unplanned turn when Bean no.2 came out in the chicken pox spots. Second time round and it still surprised me as to how suddenly and quickly they begin to appear from nowhere! Luckily my in laws are back from their holiday this week and were able to help look after him while I took Bean no.1 to nursery. It still meant little time for work and what not, but it meant that we were not all stuck inside again.

I am happy that yesterday I managed to make a couple of cards, the first of which I am sharing today…

UnikoOLstencil1

I still had my Fun Flowers Stencil out on my desk from when I made my cards for the Uniko March 2018 Design Team Blog Hop & Giveaway HERE. And I had been wanting to join in on the current “Less is More” one layer challenge HERE, which is to use stencils, perfect combo!

367 Stencils

I needed a little more of a mojo boost and mooched around my ‘go to’ challenges for a colour combo and thought the Color Throwdown challenge HERE looked fun, so gave it a whirl too!

swatch485

Plus to mix it up a little and as 3 is my favourite number I decided to join in on the AAA cards challenge fun HERE too, which is to use 1/3 of your card.

#111

With all that I managed to keep it all clean & simple! I used Altenew Rouge ink as my closest match to a peach colour, applied it through my Fun Flowers Stencil which I kept to the lower third of my one layer card. Then added the Simply Said Blocks happy birthday sentiment.

UnikoOLstencil1a

Ok, that’s all from me today. I think it’ll be another early night for this mummy after the Spring forward with the clocks and a poorly bean, it could be a night of little sleep, fingers crossed it isn’t! Until later in the week, thanks for stopping by today :)

Hugs

Uniko Challenge #46 Colour & Optional Twist Easter

Hey!

Welcome to the March/April, 2018 Uniko challenge. This month we have a really pretty palette of colours for you to choose from and with Easter looming that’s our optional twist.

As you’ve probably noticed the Uniko DT has grown this year with the addition of four talented ladies onto our Stencil Team. So of course there’s going to be even more DT inspiration to get your creativity flowing and we also have the most wonderful Guest Designer – Michele – joining in with us for this challenge.

Her winning card from the last challenge had us all swooning here at Uniko and if you go take a peek at her blog you’ll discover loads more innovative ideas that are just that little bit different.

Guest Designer – Michele

Isn’t this the most amazingly creative use of Uniko stamps and dies?! Do go visit her blog – HERE – and tell her how gorgeous this is!

Here’s how I decided to use the colours…

USC#46

Firstly, my apologies to those that attended the Uniko Birthday Stamping Retreat as you have already seen this card! I was hoping to have made something new and an Easter card to share using the challenge colours, but due to the unforeseen happenings of Josh Bean getting the Chicken Pox on Tuesday, my week has got to pot. Yesterday I played catch up. Well, to some degree, as I spent the morning catching up on sleep due to being up all night nursing a sick bean :(

USC#46a

Luckily I had this card in my archive to share and amazingly I had used most of the challenge colours! Again I have used Kindness Blooms, still a firm ‘go to’ fave at the moment and there are still a few left in stock since the restock this week! I’ve paired the loopy blooms with a sentiment from Birthday Sentiments, added enamel embellishments and adhered the stamped panel using foam adhesive.

USC#46b

That’s all I have to share with you for today, but the Uniko Design team also have some inspiring card ideas to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too 😉

The eagle eyed of you will have noticed that this is only half of the Uniko DT, but never fear the other half will be here with ideas to inspire you on 30th March with the reminder post.

So are you ready to play along?

Well, just in case you need some more incentive to play along with the challenge here are the details of the prizes.

 THE PRIZES

  • Main Winner Chosen By the DT – £25 eGift Certificate
  • Random Twist Winner – £4 In Stock Clear Stamp Set of Winners Choosing
  • Random Uniko Stamps Winner – £4 In Stock Clear Stamp Set of Winners Choosing
  • Top 3 Chosen By DT – 150 Loyalty Reward Points
  •

You’ve got plenty of time to play along with this month’s challenge. The deadline for submission is midnight (GMT) on Friday 20th April 2018 (7.00pm EDT).
