October 2018 Reveal, Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Woohoo!

Finally the day has arrived and the October 2018 Reveal, Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY is here! The Release will be available to purchase HERE at a NEW time of 9pm GMT tonight.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, where I have formally introduced all the NEW products. Now I have a couple more cards to share using some of the new stamps & stencils.

First up I have a card using Winter Botanicals: Sweet Broom…

IntroWBsweetbroom3

I thought I’d try my hand at some more no line colouring, using my trusty Prismacolor pencils. This card took me about 3 nights to finish! Considering I only get from around 8/8:30 pm – 10:30/11:30 pm to work, that wasn’t bad for me. Plus, I usually loose patience and ditch what I am colouring!!

IntroWBsweetbroom3a

Once I had finished colouring I let it be and simply mounted it onto my card base using foam adhesive and kept it clear of a sentiment so I can use it for any occasion, not just Christmas.

Lastly for today (unfortunately my creative time is limited this week with The Beans off nursery for half term) I reached for one of my new favourite stencils, Quilted…

IntroStencilQuilted2

I wanted to try some tone on tone ink blending and thought it would pair nicely with Organic Wishes, which I did for this card.

After assembling my card I went in and added some White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops to the Dandelion ends and to the centres of all the flowers of the inked stencil.

That’s all I have to share with you for today, but I know that the team have an abundance of inspiration to show you using the new products.

Be sure to comment along the hop for your chance to win the ENTIRE Release!! You have until Midnight (GMT) Friday 9th November 2018 to comment and the winner will be announced soon after.

Happy Hopping!

Hugs

Design Team Inspiration… Colouring on Kraft Card

Hey all it’s Rahmat here.

I am up with a simple card using the Flower Power set, and sentiment from the Pure florals – Lily. Please watch the video, it is self explanatory.

You can also stop by my instagram at rahmat.ccc, if you want to hear me out about how I made this card, it is a shorter video over there.

I hope you like what I have come up with. Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate your kind  feedback 🙂 Have a great day!

NBUS #8 Theme Colour On Kraft

Hey!

I’ve a little card to share today, which happens to be perfect for Darnell’s NBUS #8 Challenge HERE. The lovely Darnell is celebrating 46 years of marriage AND 5 years of blogging, congratulations Darnell!

So to celebrate these momentous occasions Darnell has a trio of NBUS Challenges, each with a different optional theme. This week is Colouring on Kraft…

Though technically I haven’t coloured on Kraft card stock, I have used Papertrey Ink Soft Stone instead. I have used my Prismacolor pencils to colour in the image stamped on the rectangle die cut using my NBUS Rectangle dies from Crafters Companion.

The layout of my card was inspired by the current TIME OUT Challenges challenge HERE, which is to CASE with your own twist the lovely Ksenija from Sweet Kobylkin. Below is Ksenija’s card to CASE…

TO SweetKobylkin

Hopefully you will see that I reversed the card stock colours that Ksenija used on her card and instead of stamping an all over pattern on the base card I decided to use my MISTI and do this spotlight stamping technique.

I added a sentiment from Simply Said and a few tiny rhinestones to finish the card off. And, I actually got round to sending this card out too, something I am ‘trying’ much harder to do this year and mail out more of the cards I make 😉

That’s all I have to share with you today, I am hoping to find a little creative time tonight and maybe squeeze in another card for the challenge. I have plenty of NBUS to use 😉

Thanks for stopping by & BIG thanks to Darnell for hosting such an awesome challenge.

Fond Farewell…

Hey!

It feels like forever since I last blogged over here! Today was my last class at The Paperlane, I have been doing demos and classes there since I launched my Uniko stamp range 4 1/2 years ago. I have made so many lovely friends through my love of stamps and this hobby and it was sad to call it a day, but time to progress and move forward into other exciting ventures. I am sure I will be seeing some of you soon 😉

Anyway, I thought I would share a couple of the cards we made in the class…

I’ve been seeing this ‘spotlight’ stamping technique a lot recently, so I thought I would give it a whirl with the newly released Marvellous Mehndi clear stamp set and the large mandala stamp from the set. As I don’t have a MISTI yet 🙁 even though I have nicely asked Santa (aka hubby) for an early Christmas present as I ‘really’ do deserve one, I have been EVER so good so far this year!

I digress, so I had to line up the stamp the old fashioned way. I was pleased with the results and once the class had the hang of my instructions is was quite fun 😉

The mandala is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and the top focal layer coloured with a selection of Stampin’ Up! markers, my favourite In Colour collection.

To get a little more practice with the technique we also made this card…

It would have been rude not to give the ‘spotlighting’ treatment to the new Originally Organic clear stamp set too! So I chose the swirly foliage stamp. Again it is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and coloured with Stampin’ Up! markers.

That’s all I have to share for today, but I will be back again tomorrow with more to share AND Stamp Of The Week returns on Monday – Yay!

Thank you to all who came to the class today and to all of you who have taken the time to stop by the blog. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Stamp Of The Week – Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum

Hey!

A new week and a NEW Stamp Of The Week! This week I am dusting off… Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum

PFchrysanthemumPP

Todays card is another that we made at the class on Saturday at The Paperlane and is one of my favourites…

JulyClass5

I like colouring and especially with my Prismacolor Pencils, they look awesome on Kraft card stock, especially bright yellows and oranges.

2016SOTW69a

This took quite a bit of stamping, embossing in detail white EP and masking, I started with the small outline bloom and then each of the leaves. I then spent probably about 30+ minutes colouring them in. Starting with the lighter shades and adding details with the medium and dark shades and then going back in blending with the lightest.

2016SOTW69

I kept the sentiment, other embellishments and details simple, so not to take any focus away from the beautiful flower.

As I have done some colouring, I am entering it into Kathy Racoosin’s 30 Day Colour Challenge HERE.

Ok, that’s all from me tonight, I will be back tomorrow with more inspiration featuring this set and don’t forget that this set is discounted HERE on the website this week. Plus I have another 15% off discount code THIS WEEK ONLY!
