Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #1
Hey!
Stamp of the Week is a new feature here at Uniko.
It is one I have been wanting to do for some time & with the results of the recent survey I did it is something 69% of you wanted too. Even though every other month the DT and I revisit a previously released set, there are MANY more clear stamp sets that deserve some LOVE!
So, what is stamp of the week?
Well, each week I will be focusing on a different stamp set on this the Uniko website blog, I will be featuring a variety of cards, tags, projects and hopefully videos. The stamp of the week will be the main focus but I will also be showing how it pairs with other products from Uniko & other reputable companies. Along with all that the featured stamp set will be available in store at a discounted price for that week only.
This weeks stamp of the week – Flower Power #1
Today I have one card two ways and they are the designs I originally had planned to share yesterday which wouldn’t work for me but today, no problem!
I decided to continue with my Christmas theme for my first card and combined Flower Power #1 with tiny stamps from two other Uniko clear stamp sets, Background Builders: Vines Winter Additions and Label Love: Christmas.
I started out by drawing a faint pencil circle & then stamped the two sizes of outline holly leaves from Label Love: Christmas around the circle, then filling in gaps with the single solid holly leaf from Background Builders: Vines Winter Additions. The flowers are the largest of the trio of flowers stamped & fussy cut out. Again like yesterdays card HERE I used the holly berry stamp to add the flower detail to make them resemble poinsettias. The sentiment is from Simply Said Christmas & heat embossed in gold.
My next card is the same design but uses different colours & leaf stamps to create a more autumnal card…
I followed the same steps for this card as I did for the first, I simply used the two matching but mirrored leaves from Background Builders: Vines Winter Additions. My colours were inspired by the current CAS – Colours & Sketches challenge colours seen HERE and below.
This time instead of making the flowers to look like poinsettias I left them as flowers and added rhinestones to the centres for sparkle. I also added a few randomly around the wreath.
Ok, that’s all from me today, I hope I have inspired you a little more this evening. I will be back again tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today.
