Stamp Of The Week – Beautiful Blooms II

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Beautiful Blooms II

BeautifulBloomsIIPP

This is my card today…

2016SOTW34

I was inspired by the new Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card.

FMS Final 225-001

I decided to look through my NBUS stash pile and was looking for something a little different to use. I came across a gold die cut which looked fun to create the panel. Instead of using the panel I decided to use the negative stripes and I am rather pleased how it turned out 🙂

2016SOTW34a

I still had some pink CS left on my desk from another card I am sharing tomorrow and so that helped me with my colour scheme. I added some Wink Of Stella to the white areas on the stamped bloom and leaves and adhered the bloom to the card using foam adhesive.

Super quick and simple again tonight, so that’s all from me today using this set, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted in store HERE this week too.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today.

Stamp Of The Week – Beautiful Blooms II

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Beautiful Blooms II

For my card today I have used some NBUS the SU! File Tabs Edgelits Dies, which I have had for a couple of months. I have been wanting to use them like I have on my card today for some time now!

2016SOTW33

I saw this idea a while back either on Instagram or Pinterest, but unfortunately I forgot to save the image. The colours of my card are inspired by the new ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

12745731_10201327759474054_6919632657493823814_n

As there were 4 colours I decided the best way to incorporate them all was by adding strips of CS behind the main image panel. This is a great way for using up those scraps of CS that I seem to have TONS of! Am I the only one who has SO many scraps and half cut into CS in boxes?? I am trying my best to use those before cutting into new sheets.

2016SOTW33a

That’s all from me today using this set, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share.

For todays card I wanted to create a patterned background and so I decided to do this using the leaves. I have another card later in the week where I have used all of the stamps from the set to create a background which is just as fun!

2016SOTW32

I simply cut a piece of white CS to the size I wanted and stamped both sizes of the leaves randomly, trying to rotate them as I stamped . I then stamped the outline bloom on a smaller CS layer and masked the bloom to stamp coordinating leaves from Flower Power #6.

2016SOTW32a

I then stamped a sentiment from the new Simply Said clear stamp set and added some pale blue embroidery thread around the top, tying it in a bow. Once I had adhered all the pieces on my card, I decided to stamp the bloom again, cutting out just the centre petals and adding some glitter.

The colour scheme of my card is inspired by the current {Cupcake Inspirations} challenge seen HERE and below. This time it is a lovely Spring colour challenge. I used SU! Bashful Blue and Lucky Limeade for my colours.

That’s all from me today, I will be back tomorrow with more to share.

BeautifulBloomsIIPP

This week I decided to go floral and give Beautiful Blooms II some more love. It seems to be one of my all time ‘go to’ flowers and with that I thought it would spark some creativity I seem to be lacking these past few days.

Anyway, here is my first new card using the set…

2016SOTW31

The colours of my card were inspired by the current Fusion Card Challenge HERE and below. The inspiration photo is what I used and it is the floral cushion in the forefront of the photo that sparked me.

Picture1

I started by stamping and heat embossing the outline bloom in detail white onto a scrap of pink CS, I think it is a leftover of SU! Regal Rose CS. I then set to fussy cutting the blooms out. The leaves are stamped onto SU! Whisper White CS in VersaMagic Ocean Depth ink and also fussy cut out. I added a panel of SU! SoftSky CS at an angle to my card base before adhering the blooms and leaves in a cluster using DST.

2016SOTW31a

A fairly quick CAS card to kick the week off 🙂 That’s all I have for today, I am feeling the tiredness after an early start and a full on day with beans full of beans!! I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted in store HERE this week too.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Stamp Of The Week – Balloon Bash

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Balloon Bash

BalloonBashPP

What a busy couple of days, yesterday I had a bean free day and had planned at least an hour or so in the studio. However, I underestimated how much housework I had to catch up on after the February Release and being ill!

Anyway, hopefully I will make up for it today with the two cards I have to share with you…

2016SOTW29

2016SOTW30As you can see they are nearly identical with slight differences. I wanted to showcase the confetti stamps contained in the mini set and I started by making the card with the circle confetti. I really quite enjoyed stamping the rainbow garland and decided to do the star one too!

2016SOTW29a

The balloons are stamped in Encore silver ink and heat embossed with Stardust EP for a lovely sparkly finish and the sentiments are both from the new Simply Said clear stamp set.

2016SOTW30a

Ok, that’s all from me today using this set, this mummy is tired after a fun filled day taking the beans to the seaside at Whitby with daddy. We had a lot of fun but it is oh so crazy and tiring venturing out locally, but to go for most of the day I’m wrecked now!

I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted in store HERE this week too.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today.

Uniko Challenge #29

Hey!

Today over HERE, we have a new Uniko Challenge starting. This month we have a fun colour challenge to inspire your creativity…

ChallengeGraphic2

As February is Uniko’s birthday month, I chose our logo colours as the combination 🙂 I hope you like them and they inspire you to join in.

Anyway, with the colours being linked to our logo, I continued the theme for my card and used the Uniko logo flower. This is the small one found in I LOVE Coffee, but there is a slightly larger version in Flower Power #3.

USC#29

I was inspired by the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below for my card design and I am pretty chuffed with how it turned out 😉

CTS_160

I’m a little disappointed that my pink isn’t quite the pink I was after and should have used a ‘pinker’ shade. It’s annoying as VersaMagic don’t seem to have a medium pink that I like and the Memento Luxe pink I have is more of a bright raspberry pink. I do have quite a few SU! inks but I am fussy about combining different ink mediums on a card, unless for a sentiment. And I don’t have the other two colours in SU! inks 🙁 I guess I am a little too fussy and OCD about certain things!

USC#29a

The sentiment is from Simply Said Birthday and I add a trio of SU! enamel dots to embellish it, love the glossiness of these 🙂

Ok, that’s all from me just now, but be sure to pop on over HERE to see the inspiration from our Guest Designer AJ and the Uniko DT. I hope to see you in the gallery 😉

Stamp Of The Week – Balloon Bash

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Balloon Bash

BalloonBashPP

My apologies for being MIA with SOTW last week and I was planning on sharing more of the Uniko February and 4th Birthday celebrations over here too, but due to a sudden onset of a chest infection and sinusitis last Monday I was only able to keep up with the essentials over on the blogspot blog. You can catch up with all the fun and release day blog hop & giveaway HERE, there is still time to enter too.

Anyway, back to this weeks SOTW and my card for today…

2016SOTW28

I’ve had this card idea for a while now, but I sold the cloud dies I had a long time ago and I don’t think I have any cloud stamps in my stash either. Hence I had been putting this card off as I’d have to make my own stencil and to me far too time consuming for the little craft time I get 😉

But… last night I had a lucky find. I was searching through so DP scraps and came across a piece that I had die cut clouds from! How random is that?! So I used the die cut negative as a stencil and sponged white clouds randomly onto my pale blue CS.

2016SOTW28a

The balloon & string are stamped and fussy cut out and adhered to the card using foam adhesive. The sentiment is from Pure Florals: Cosmos. I added a good covering of Wink Of Stella to the balloon for added shimmer, but it is hard to see in the photos.

Ok, that’s all from me today using this set, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted in store HERE this week too.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today.

2016SOTW27

Another bright & cheery CAS card, this time I used just the larger of the 2 balloons in the set stamping it in a rainbow of colours and fussy cutting them out. I added a good layer of Wink Of Stella to them too for good measure.

2016SOTW27a

I then added bakers twine strings to them before adhering them to the card, the strings are tied together and secured with a little piece of DST. I then added a few circle confetti, stamped in light grey ink and a sentiment from the new Simply Said set.

Ok, that’s all from me today using this set, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted in store HERE this week too.

Today I have started off CAS and bright with a sprinkling of sequins! Perfect for a wintery code day with a dusting of snow we had this morning.

2016SOTW26a

I started by stamping and fussy cutting the balloons, the pink one is adhered flat to the card with the turquoise one foam mounted. The sentiment is from the new Simply Said sentiment set and the sequins are Pretty Pink Posh.

The new challenge over HERE at AAA Cards is sequins, so my card is perfect for that challenge! I seem to struggle with adding sequins to my cards, I always think that I’ve just plopped them rather than placing them nicely! Oh well, think I need more practice 😉

Game58

That’s all from me here today, but I’ve used Balloon Bash with one of the new February Release stamp sets over HERE today too, for a bonus of inspiration using this set 😉

Ok, that’s all from me today using this set, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted in store HERE this week too.

Introducing… I LOVE Tea

Hey!

Over HERE today the Uniko Design Team, Taheerah Atchia Uniko DT Alumni and I are introducing the soon to be released I LOVE Tea, be sure to hop on over and join in on the mini blog hop to see the awesome inspiration the team have created using this new set.

Anyway, I thought I would share a card here too…

IntroILTc

Like with yesterdays introduction of Beautiful Blooms III, I thought I would share some more inspiration here. This time I am sharing the first card I made using this soon to be released set, I LOVE Tea. As you can see this is a follow on set from the previously released I LOVE Coffee set.

Both the sentiment fonts and the drawing style is the same, so that the sets can be mixed and matched for even more possibilities.

If you have been HERE to join in on the blog hop today you will see that stacking the teacups is a popular trend with the DT, hence my choice to share this card here today! To create the stacked teacups I used the masking technique, I then flat coloured each of the cups with a trio of Copic markers, super simple.

IntroILTd

After colouring the teacups I fussy cut them out and adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. The sentiment is from the new set and comes as two stamps for more stamping possibilities.

Ok, that’s all from me just now, but I will be back later with a new Stamp Of The Week and card using the set. Until then, thank you for stopping by and for all the lovely comments.
