Stamp Of The Week – Beautiful Blooms II

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Beautiful Blooms II

BeautifulBloomsIIPP

This is my card today…

2016SOTW34

I was inspired by the new Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card.

FMS Final 225-001

I decided to look through my NBUS stash pile and was looking for something a little different to use. I came across a gold die cut which looked fun to create the panel. Instead of using the panel I decided to use the negative stripes and I am rather pleased how it turned out 🙂

2016SOTW34a

I still had some pink CS left on my desk from another card I am sharing tomorrow and so that helped me with my colour scheme. I added some Wink Of Stella to the white areas on the stamped bloom and leaves and adhered the bloom to the card using foam adhesive.

Super quick and simple again tonight, so that’s all from me today using this set, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted in store HERE this week too.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today.

Stamp Of The Week – Beautiful Blooms II

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Beautiful Blooms II

BeautifulBloomsIIPP

For my card today I have used some NBUS the SU! File Tabs Edgelits Dies, which I have had for a couple of months. I have been wanting to use them like I have on my card today for some time now!

2016SOTW33

I saw this idea a while back either on Instagram or Pinterest, but unfortunately I forgot to save the image. The colours of my card are inspired by the new ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

12745731_10201327759474054_6919632657493823814_n

As there were 4 colours I decided the best way to incorporate them all was by adding strips of CS behind the main image panel. This is a great way for using up those scraps of CS that I seem to have TONS of! Am I the only one who has SO many scraps and half cut into CS in boxes?? I am trying my best to use those before cutting into new sheets.

2016SOTW33a

That’s all from me today using this set, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share.

For todays card I wanted to create a patterned background and so I decided to do this using the leaves. I have another card later in the week where I have used all of the stamps from the set to create a background which is just as fun!

2016SOTW32

I simply cut a piece of white CS to the size I wanted and stamped both sizes of the leaves randomly, trying to rotate them as I stamped . I then stamped the outline bloom on a smaller CS layer and masked the bloom to stamp coordinating leaves from Flower Power #6.

2016SOTW32a

I then stamped a sentiment from the new Simply Said clear stamp set and added some pale blue embroidery thread around the top, tying it in a bow. Once I had adhered all the pieces on my card, I decided to stamp the bloom again, cutting out just the centre petals and adding some glitter.

The colour scheme of my card is inspired by the current {Cupcake Inspirations} challenge seen HERE and below. This time it is a lovely Spring colour challenge. I used SU! Bashful Blue and Lucky Limeade for my colours.

That’s all from me today, I will be back tomorrow with more to share.

This week I decided to go floral and give Beautiful Blooms II some more love. It seems to be one of my all time ‘go to’ flowers and with that I thought it would spark some creativity I seem to be lacking these past few days.

Anyway, here is my first new card using the set…

2016SOTW31

The colours of my card were inspired by the current Fusion Card Challenge HERE and below. The inspiration photo is what I used and it is the floral cushion in the forefront of the photo that sparked me.

Picture1

I started by stamping and heat embossing the outline bloom in detail white onto a scrap of pink CS, I think it is a leftover of SU! Regal Rose CS. I then set to fussy cutting the blooms out. The leaves are stamped onto SU! Whisper White CS in VersaMagic Ocean Depth ink and also fussy cut out. I added a panel of SU! SoftSky CS at an angle to my card base before adhering the blooms and leaves in a cluster using DST.

2016SOTW31a

A fairly quick CAS card to kick the week off 🙂 That’s all I have for today, I am feeling the tiredness after an early start and a full on day with beans full of beans!! I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted in store HERE this week too.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Introducing… Beautiful Blooms III

Hey!

Over HERE today the Uniko Design Team and I are introducing the soon to be released Beautiful Blooms III, be sure to hop on over and join in on the mini blog hop to see the awesome inspiration the team have created using this new set.

Anyway, I thought I would share a card here too…

IntroBBIIIf

This is a super simple card using all the layers of the bloom. I started out by stamping the solid flower in SU! Summer Sun onto a scrap of white card and with Cameo Coral onto my card base. The first detail is stamped in Pumpkin Pie on the first and Calypso Coral on the second. I then added the outline and smaller detail in VersaMark ink and heat embossing with detail white EP.

IntroBBIIIe

The leaves are from the set and the sentiment from Pure Florals: Cosmos. A few tiny rhinestones for some sparkle to finish it off.

Ok, that’s all from me just now, but I will be back later with my last Stamp Of The Week card this week, using English Country Garden Butterflies. Until then, thank you for stopping by and for all the lovely comments.

So along with all the inspiration there you will be getting a week of inspiration here too 😉 Be sure to pop on over an hop along for your chance to win the set & an eGift Certificate for £10.

Anyway, how about a card and some inspiration…

2016SOTW9

The current challenge over at “Less is More” HERE is a one layer challenge with a cue word of FLOURISH. Now Uniko does have the retired FONTiment Fancies Swirls & Flourishes set, but as it is retired I decided to look through the ‘ton’ of stamps from other companies I have stashed away!

Less-Is-More-Header

One of my all time favourite companies and the one that got me into the whole blogging thing is Hero Arts, they are a FABulous company with SO many wonderful products. I decided to ink up one of my favourite WM rubber stamps to pair with the Beautiful Bloom heart from the set.

My colour choices were inspired by the current {Cupcake Inspirations} challenge seen HERE and below, a lovely soft colour palette for a love themed card.

CIC342

I decided to go for an Anniversary card instead of a Valentine card and added a sentiment from Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum. Hopefully you can see the sparkle in the close up of the glitter I added to the heart & the Wink Of Stella I added to the flourish.

2016SOTW9a

That’s all I have to share with you today, lots of Uniko February Release & 4th Birthday preparations to complete and time is ticking by and closer….EEK!

Stamp Of The Week – Pure Florals Poinsettia

Hey!

Stamp of the Week is a new feature here at Uniko.

It is one I have been wanting to do for some time & with the results of the recent survey I did it is something 69% of you wanted too. Even though every other month the DT and I revisit a previously released set, there are MANY more clear stamp sets that deserve some LOVE!

So, what is stamp of the week?

Well, each week I will be focusing on a different stamp set on this the Uniko website blog, I will be featuring a variety of cards, tags, projects and hopefully videos. The stamp of the week will be the main focus but I will also be showing how it pairs with other products from Uniko & other reputable companies. Along with all that the featured stamp set will be available in store at a discounted price for that week only.

This weeks stamp of the week – Pure Florals: Poinsettia

PFpoinsettiaPP

I’m back today with another card using the Pure Florals: Poinsettia clear stamp set. This time I have opted for a non traditional colour scheme for my card…

SOTW2a

I am loving the current trend of gold embossing and decided I wanted to do that on todays card but I didn’t want it paired with traditional Christmas colours. So out cam my Zig Clean Color Brush Pens, a large acrylic block and a mini mister. To create the background I simply coloured my acrylic black with the trio of pens, misted and then applied it straight  onto my watercolour paper.

SOTW2

After leaving it to dry I then gold embossed the poinsettia & my chosen sentiment. I then placed it under a heavy book overnight and flat mounted it onto a white card base.

This would be a really quick & easy, last minute Christmas card idea & you could easily switch the background colours to more traditional ones if desired.

SOTW2b

Ok, that’s all I have to share with you today, but I will be back again tomorrow with more to share using this clear stamp set. I hope you are enjoying the feature here & what I am creating! Don’t forget we have the October DT Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY going on HERE and you could win this set!

Thank you for stopping by today.

I used the colours of the photo and florals in the garden as my inspiration…
UC#24c
I stamped and masked the outline flower from Beautiful Blooms II in a selection of VersaMagic colours onto an angled panel of white CS, this panel is adhered to a Soft Stone CS base. I then stamped a single flower and duo of leaves and fussy cut them out and adhered them to the corner of the angled panel using foam adhesive. The sentiment is from A Gift For You.

August 2015 Design Team Blog Hop, GIVEAWAY!

Hey!

I’m SO happy you’ve stopped by the blog today as today is the August 2015 Design Team Blog Hop. Along with the hop and GIVEAWAY! So be sure to grab a drink, get comfy, relax and enjoy!

As we’ve quite a few new followers here, (“Hello & Thank you”) I will explain what’s going on! Here at Uniko I *USUALLY* only release new products every other month. Keep your eyes peeled this week for a NEW set of dies lining the shelf this week at Uniko HQ!! This is for a number of reasons, firstly, being an avid paper crafter myself and knowing the current economic climate I know ‘some’ are on a limited budget when it comes to buying new stash, so this way you’re not tempted to splurge too much every month.

The second reason is that it is just me here at Uniko HQ. I currently run this little business single handedly, designing, blogging, demoing, classes, packing. Alongside that I am a full time mum to 11  month old twin boys! So releasing every other month gives me chance to keep my head above water, well…just about!

So, on the in-between release months the Design Team & I take a look back at a previously released product, dust it off and give it some love! This month I decided to dust off TWO products, the previously released Beautiful Blooms I and II…

I chose these two sets as it’s Summer here (well, it’s supposed to be Summer!) and I do love a flower or two. When I released both these sets HERE and HERE they were firm favourites and hardly left my desk. Though I still LOVE them I don’t always reach for them so it was time to give them some more love.

As always I like to share a couple of my ‘old faves’ using the sets…

And here are a couple of new projects using them…

I started out with Beautiful Blooms I, vellum and detail white embossing powder. I simply stamped the blooms in VersaMark ink before heat embossing them white. I then used the matching Designer Dies to cut them out (these will be back in stock soon) before adhering them to a Melon Mambo card base. The sentiment from Simply Said Birthday is also heat embossed gold. I also added a few gold gems to finish the card off.

The current challenge over at “Just Us Girls”HERE is a Trend Week, the trend being vellum, so I thought I’d link it up there too 😉

Next I have a card I made for Saturday’s class at The Paperlane. It’s another card coloured with the Zig Clean Color Brush Pens…

I’m still getting to grips with the pens, but I am rather liking the results and how ‘easy’ they are to use. I especially like the spectrum of colours & shading you can achieve with just a few pens.

That’s all I had time to create, but now for some AWESOME projects from the Design Team using Beautiful Blooms I & or II.

Don’t forget the GIVEAWAY… Simply comment along the hop for your chance to win the featured sets or a eGift Certificate code to the same value if you already own them.
