One Layer Stencil Fun!
Hey & Happy Monday!
I do hope your week has begun well? Mine started well, but then took an unplanned turn when Bean no.2 came out in the chicken pox spots. Second time round and it still surprised me as to how suddenly and quickly they begin to appear from nowhere! Luckily my in laws are back from their holiday this week and were able to help look after him while I took Bean no.1 to nursery. It still meant little time for work and what not, but it meant that we were not all stuck inside again.
I am happy that yesterday I managed to make a couple of cards, the first of which I am sharing today…
I still had my Fun Flowers Stencil out on my desk from when I made my cards for the Uniko March 2018 Design Team Blog Hop & Giveaway HERE. And I had been wanting to join in on the current “Less is More” one layer challenge HERE, which is to use stencils, perfect combo!
I needed a little more of a mojo boost and mooched around my ‘go to’ challenges for a colour combo and thought the Color Throwdown challenge HERE looked fun, so gave it a whirl too!
Plus to mix it up a little and as 3 is my favourite number I decided to join in on the AAA cards challenge fun HERE too, which is to use 1/3 of your card.
With all that I managed to keep it all clean & simple! I used Altenew Rouge ink as my closest match to a peach colour, applied it through my Fun Flowers Stencil which I kept to the lower third of my one layer card. Then added the Simply Said Blocks happy birthday sentiment.
Ok, that’s all from me today. I think it’ll be another early night for this mummy after the Spring forward with the clocks and a poorly bean, it could be a night of little sleep, fingers crossed it isn’t! Until later in the week, thanks for stopping by today đŸ™‚
Hugs

very cute and beautiful, great use of the 1/3. Thank you for playing at AAA cards and Less is More
Great to see you playing along at AAA Cards Bev. Super use of that Fun Flowers stencil and it
looks fabulous in just the one colour. Classy card. Hope Bean 2 gets better quickly and you both get some sleep.
Les grands esprits se rencontrent (= Great minds think alike !), Bev. I used the same stencil for the same both challenges. Love how it looks in this colour with a tiny touch of black to pop it up ! A beautiful CAS card, Bev. So pleased to see you in the Less is More gallery and thanks for playing along with us. Hugs
PS: Take care of your little beans and have all some sleep to recover quickly.
Hi Bev, I love how you have used the stencil on the 1/3rd of the card. Very CAS design. Thank you for playing along with us at the AAACards challenge. Hugs – Bharati
This is fab! So clean, simple and very pretty! Lovely work. xxx
A great challenge combo, Bev, and I love the design of the feminine stencil with the clean lines of the block sentiment. I hope both beans are fully over their chicken pox soon, bless them.
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
This looks so fresh and pretty, Bev! Your inking is perfect and I love the simplicity of the design. I hope that your house is chicken pox free soon x
Super crisp stencilling Bev and I love the retro look of those shapes from the stencil. That is a really elegant look with the design and simple colour theme. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx
