March 2018 Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

March 2018 Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hey!

It’s time for another Uniko Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY – Whoohoo!! For those of you who are new around these parts I will explain what this post is all about…

Here at Uniko HQ it is just myself behind the screen, blogging, designing, packaging stamps & orders through the Uniko online shop, customer service and all the things in between. I *usually* release new product every other month for a number of reasons, but mainly so I can keep up with everything!
On non – release months like this month I like to set myself and the Design Team a challenge to look back at a previously released product and give it some more love.
Usually I choose just one product that was released the previous year or a once favourite that hasn’t seen much air time. This month with the recent additions to the Design Team, The Stencil Design Team and having released last month a co-ordinating stencil to the previously released Fun Flowers clear stamp set. I thought it would be nice to showcase both the stencil and clear stamp set.

I managed to find a little creative time and mojo and created a ‘twofer’ to share with you! I’ve been wanting to join in on the Twofer Challenge HERE since it first launched, but time hasn’t been on mind side 🙁

UnikoRevisit318b

For my first card I used just the Fun Flowers clear stamp set. Reaching for the CAS Colour & Sketches challenge colours HERE, that I still had on my desk! Some simple ‘off stamping’ to create a slightly muted cascade of flowers and embellishing with one of the large Fun Flower possibilities. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks.

Next I decided to pair some monochrome Fun Flowers with a colourful stencilled die cut using the coordinating Fun Flowers Stencil and this time the CAS Colour & Sketches challenge colours in Distress Oxide Inks!

UnikoRevisit318e

I over embellished the flowers with some Altenew and Stampin’ Up! enamel dots, I just can’t resist using them! This time I chose the ‘HAPPY’ sentiment from Simply Said Blocks, which I will then add a sentiment inside such as ‘birthday’, ‘belated birthday’, etc etc.

Ok, so I am entering my ‘twofer’ over HERE and I hope that I have inspired you to join in on that fun challenge and this weeks CAS Colours & Sketches challenge too 😉

I don’t know where you come up with your colour combos Bev but I’m always bowled over by them and it’s no different today with this duo. So crisp and neat and totally elegant. I definitely don’t think you’ve ‘over-embellished’ the second card! Who says there’s a limit to enamel dots!!!! Love ’em! x

These are really pretty cards! I love the beautiful simplicity of them, and how you’ve created two gorgeous cards in fabulous colors. The turquoise and pink work so wonderfully together, and the little enamel dots add a great finishing touch to your second card. Great designs, too! And from one Bev to another, thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge! : )

Those colors are a perfect choice for both your designs, Bev, and I love all the bling on your second card! I can’t resist those enamel dots either! The way you’ve used these fun doodled stamps and stencil in both designs is so whimsical and fresh! They are such happy cards!! Thank you so much for playing along in Twofer Card Challenge #3! Two beautiful cards for the twofer challenge, Bev ! I obviously agree with you for your choice of colors, since I took the same for one of my cards (fortunately there are great challenges for both colors and sketches to inspire!). And I love your addition of enamels too, I think that in particular this stamp calls for them ! Both of them very elegant and with beautiful CAS designs ! Love them. Hugs x
