Introducing… Spring Botanicals Snowdrop & Large Background Scattered Polka Dots

Introducing… Spring Botanicals Snowdrop & Large Background Scattered Polka Dots

Hey!

Apologies for my lateness today and the poor photos, (I will update them in the morning!)

I was feeling poorly last night, heading to bed straight after the beans and currently my Tuesday & Wednesday schedules are all to pot at the moment. We are trialling The Beans on their own at nursery for a day each a week, that means I don’t get any free time during the day! As much as I love my Bean free time, it is also nice to spend time with each of them individually. Hopefully this will improve their choice to not talking 😉

Anyway, countdown to the Uniko December Release is well underway and today we have  the first of the product introductions. This is the exciting bit where you get to see the sneak peeks in action!

Today myself and my awesome Design Team  are introducing a couple of clear stamp sets, first up is Spring Botanicals Snowdrop. This is the first spring flower in a mini series of stamps contained in this collection. This clear stamp set contains a beautiful Snowdrop image and some beautiful  quotes and sentiment stamps. The second product we are introducing today came about due to my love of the series of mini Background Blocks that I added to the Uniko clear stamp line up this year. This time I decided to go BIG and enlarge one of my favourite versatile stamps, Scattered Polka Dots!
If you missed the start of the Design Team blog hop & the first 2 cards I have made using these stamps, hop on over HERE.
For my card to share here, I decided to combine both Spring Botanicals Snowdrop & Large Background: Scattered Polka Dots…

IntroSnowdropPolkaDot

I started by stamping the snowdrops in VersaFine Onyx Black ink, creating a mask and then I over stamped the one layer card with the Large Background: Scattered Polka Dots in a trio of Altenew yellow inks to create an ombre effect. When I designed the background stamp, I made sure that it could be moved and lined up to easily stamp a larger background, which is what I did to cover the whole of my base card.

After all the stamping I simply coloured the snowdrops with Prismacolor pencils and added a sentiment which is also from Spring Botanicals Snowdrop.

That’s all from me here today, but be sure to hop around the Design Team blogs and leave comments along your way to be in the chance of winning some random prizes!

You are one incredibly busy mom, which I know is exhausting, but you’re doing the right thing in spending time with your Beans, one-on-one, with the goal of encouraging boosting positive behaviour in school. Not to worry…boys and school sometimes take a while to mesh! Your Snowdrops and Polka Dots card is gorgeous! I love that you’ve made the background stamp big enough to fill a full panel; it really makes a difference, especially as it can stand alone AND with other images. A marvelous Spring-time treat!

Aah how clever designing the dots to line up for larger backgrounds! I’ll have to investigate that! Lovely gentle ombre effect and amazing masking! X
