Introducing… Background Blocks Wonky Stripes
Hey & Happy Weekend!
I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the October 2017 product release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks and we are now onto day 4 of the product introductions. You can catch up HERE, HERE and HERE with day 1, 2 and 3.
Today the Design Team and I are introducing the next stamp in the Background Blocks series called Wonky Stripes. Like the other Background Blocks clear stamps, this is a fun block of pattern that can be used for so many different occasions as you will see from the inspiration from the DT.
I had so many ideas for this stamp, but limited time to make my samples this week, hence my lateness today. My apologies for that, I was up late packaging a restock of stamps that cam yesterday for Stamp Magic tomorrow!
Anyway, how about a look at my first card…

I decided I needed to give my Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers an outing and quickly watercolored this background and then heat embossed the Background Blocks Wonky Stripes in white. I then used a Stampin’ Up! Stitched Square Framelit die to die cut it and added a small Uniko Designer Die Snowflake. This feature element is mounted on foam adhesive. The sentiment is from Simply Said Christmas and stamped in Lawn Fawn Manatee ink.

Next up I decided to use the wonky stripes like a patterned paper panel, like I did on my Festive Sentiments sample HERE.

I simply used my MISTI tool to stamp the stripes along the edge using VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I then added another shorter panel stamped with a sentiment from Festive Sentiments and the holly berries and leaves from Winter Foliage. The two panels are divided by a small strip of red card.

That’s all from me here, but be sure to hop along all the Design Team blogs and leave a comment along the way, as you never know you might just win a random prize! I know for sure that you won’t be disappointed the Design Team have created a bountiful wealth of inspiration 🙂

something so simple makes such a pretty card.
The first reminds me of tenneriffe stitching.
Great stamp.
thanks for sharing.
I do like the lovely watercolour background on your first card – so pretty. Love the second one too – very bold, simple and clean!
Love both of these! xxx
Another two stunners Bev ! Two different cards but both of them fabulous ! You really showcased how versatile is this wonky stripes set is ! Gorgeous ! Hugs xx
Superb CAS cards!! Love the stampset!
So many fantastic ideas with this set Bev, you’ve really shown how versatile it is and how great it is mixed and matched with other previously released sets. So perfect. I will have to STEAL that colour combo on the other blog for sure – it’s a winner with me and teamed with the Uniko style flowers! DIVINE! x
It certainly does look like background paper!! I love how you can use the new set in different ways and it looks different each time! I adore the watercolored panel – it’s CAS perfection!
Looks great as a border and as the main focus. Another versatile set Bev.
Love these fun ideas for the Wonky Stripes set!
Your cards are gorgeous !
Pretty lilacs and delicate snowflake! I love how the same stamp has given 2 very different styled cards. The second is really bold and striking with the black lines focusing the eye on the sentiment x
