Doodle Flower Mix!
Whooohoo for Friday!
The first working week of the New Year is nearly over and The Beans return to nursery on Monday. Not that I haven’t enjoyed having them home and taking them out places, but it has cost a small fortune to keep them entertained and they like routine 😉
I seem to be able to make a card and blog every other day so far this year, wondering if I can keep it up! Todays card is one that I have wanted to make since the December Release, when I introduced the new Stencil Doodle Flower. I wanted to show an example of how it could be combined with the previously released Background Blocks: Doodle Flower.
The new sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch! HERE and seen below seemed to be the perfect fit for using the stencil and 3 of the doodle flowers from the Background Blocks: Doodle Flower.
I started by using the lower section of the 6″ x 6″ Doodle Flower Stencil and applying Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers. I then stamped the Background Blocks: Doodle Flower and fussy cut 3 of the flowers before colouring them with Prismacolor pencils.
The sentiment is from the December Release Freebie, So Much. There are still a few of these freebies left, which are added to qualifying orders of £20 or more before postage costs and after any discounts have been applied!
The fussy cut flowers are adhered to the one layer card using double sided tape and I added a Stampin’ Up! enamel heart and dots to the centres for a little added interest.
That’s all I have to share for today, but I hope I have inspired you a little?! If you want some more inspiration using the Doodle Flower Stencil, be sure to head on over to DT Member Rahmat’s blog HERE and HERE. Rahmat has been having fun with the December Release goodies now she has her hands on them!!
Thanks for stopping by today 🙂
Hugs
