Introducing… Ink & Flip Stencil – Christmas Star

Welcome to Day 3 of the product introductions for our July/August Release.

Hopefully you didn’t miss day 1 and day 2 product introductions, but if you did you can catch up HERE and HERE

Today myself and the Brand Ambassadors are showcasing a fun and in my opinion another innovative Uniko stencil. This stencil has a fun ink & flip feature and this design creates a Christmas Star.

Enough talk, let’s have a look at the creativity and join me around Midday (BST) Live on Facebook as I demo this new stencil.

First, here is a look at the stencil…

As you can see from the product picture, it doesn’t look like much. Just 4 angled rectangles. Which, I am sure you could get creative with.

However, the concept of this stencil is to ink through, clean and then flip the stencil vertically, so what was once on the left, is now on the right. This will then reveal a star.

For my first card, I wanted to go rainbow. The sentiment I had in mind from Reach For The stars being my inspiration.

This took a little brain work to work the ink colours out. So Ideally line up your 8 colours and then start with colour 1, missing out 1 colour until you get to the point to clean your stencil & flip.

Then start with the first colour you skipped and repeat, missing the colours you’ve used. Ta dah! You then have a rainbow background and beautiful star.

My second card for today was an experiment. I wanted to see what the result would be if I inked through the stencil with my card rotated 45 degrees. And then inked again with it straight.

This is the result. It created an almost kaleidoscope effect. I only used two shades of aqua ink and I think if I were to do it again I would use 4 shades.

I also think you would get a fun result if you used a standard size card, like 10.5 x 14 cm.

I finished off may card with some Gansi Tambi gold ink splats and sentiments from Simply Said Blocks III.

If you are a visual learner, like me. I think this stencil needs to be seen in action to understand how it works. So I will be going live on Facebook around Midday (BST) today to demo the stencil.

Like before I will share the live recording on You Tube and share a link from all social platforms. I will edit and add a link to this post too!

Introducing… Stencil – Layering Bauhaus Blocks Builder

Welcome to the FINAL day of the product introductions for our mini May/June Release.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE where myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors have formally introduced the newest layering stencil, Layering Bauhaus Blocks Builder.

You might notice the common newest feature that I have incorporated into Uniko Stencil more recently. The option of a focal point or building to fill a larger space. Having the layers makes it a little more complex, but it it still super easy to achieve an all over pattern.

I will be going LIVE over on the Uniko Facebook Page on Friday to demo this stencil. But until then, let’s see this beauty in action…

For my first card today I opted for the focal point option using all 3 layers of the stencil. I am loving this Aqua Sky, Grapefruit & Buttercup colour combination.

I then decided to embellish the card with a Mid Century Modern Florals flower stamped in Oceanside and Marmalade ink. The sentiment is another from yesterday’s introduction, Bauhaus Blocks.

Lastly for today I felt I needed to show the stencil filling a whole panel.

This time I opted for my usual bright colour scheme of Honeysuckle, Oceanside and Buttercup.

This time with the bright colours I felt the card required a bold statement sentiment. I used the Smile die from the Exclusive Uniko CraftStash Collection, only available HERE over on CraftStash. I then accented it with the ‘Just Wanted To Say’ sentiment block from Simply Said Blocks III.

A wonderful addition to the Uniko Stencil collection, don’t you think?

So there you have it. We have formally introduced all of the products in this mini release. I do hope you will join us tomorrow for the Reveal, Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY! Plus, all the products will be available on the website at 9am BST.

Introducing… Stencil Flower Power #4

Welcome to Day 1 of the product introductions for our May/June Release.

Today myself and the Brand Ambassadors are showcasing the newest addition to the Flower Power Collection with the Stencil – Flower Power #4.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the hop and all the links to the Brand Ambassador blogs. Definitely not to be missed with all their creative inspiration.

Now, here’s how I have used the new stencil..

So this stencil is a blown up version of the Flower Power #4 clear stamp outline flower and so I decided to use the April Showers Bring May Flowers sentiment from the set. I think to complements the bold floral beautifully.

I finished off the card with some subtle sparkly splatters and some enamel drops.

For my second card today I opted for another partial inking design and a little bit of rainbow.

I love an angle, so that’s what I decided to do here. I then adhered it to this lovely Concord & 9th Pebble card stock base to really make those rainbow colours pop.

The smile die cut is from the Exclusive Uniko Collection with CraftStash HERE. I’ve used my usual trick of layering up a couple of die cuts to add a slight bit of dimension.

That’s all from me today.

We will be back tomorrow with more to share. This stencil, along with all we are introducing this week will be available on Friday 2nd June 9am GMT.

Uniko’s 11th Birthday Reveal, Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Woohoo 🎉 🙌 🥳

The day is *finally* here and our 11th Birthday Release is now available HERE on the Uniko Website! Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE where I have formally introduced the new products and you will also find the Brand Ambassador blog hop. There is a £30 eGift certificate up for grabs, so be sure to hop along and comment.

Now let’s see some of the new products in action…

For my first card today I wanted to create a Spring flower garden. I started by stamping and masking the Spring Botanicals Snowdrop, then the new Spring Botanicals Crocus and then Spring Botanicals Daffodil.

I stamped on Kraft card as I knew I wanted to colour with Prismacolor Pencils and use white and light grey for the snowdrops. I finished the card off with the Mother’s Day sentiment from Everyday Love Sentiments and Everyday Spring Sentiments.

Next up I decided to make a welcome baby card using the bunny from Hoppy Easter.

I started by stamping the Large Background Scattered Polka Hearts in Ballet Slipper ink. I then stamped the outline bunny and bunny tail before fussy cutting them out.

I created the background with a bit of masking and soft ink blending. You might notice a little black ink smudge which I covered with some white Nuvo Drops! The sentiment is another from Everyday Spring Sentiments.

Lastly for today it was only right that I showcased Up & Away and Stencil – Cloud 9.

I already had these balloons stamped, coloured and fussy cut, so apart from waiting for the sparkly clouds to dry, this card was pretty quick to make.

The hot air balloons are adhered using foam adhesive for a little dimension and don’t you just love the sparkle of the clouds.

I hope you like the new products and have enjoyed the fun over the past few days. Be sure to stick around over the coming week/s as I have so much more to share!

Until then, happy shopping 😉

Let The Celebrations Begin 🎉

Hello & Happy February!

Welcome to a fun month of celebrations, giveaways, LOTS of inspiration and a NEW Release at the end of the month.

Although January felt like the longest month, it doesn’t seem a year since our 10th Birthday celebrations! Last year was a big milestone and probably another year to add to one of the hardest. However, with your support and custom, Uniko is here to celebrate another year.

THANK YOU ❤️

It wouldn’t be a birthday month without a party. So as tradition holds we have our usual Birthday Card Link Party! The party started over HERE, so be sure to head on over for all the details, the PRIZE and link up!

Here is what I was inspired to create for the occasion…

My usual CAS style and a one layer wonder too! Like Julie HERE, I was inspired to use the smaller elements from the Stencil – MOD Circles Background Builder. I’ve had this sketched out since I designed the stencil, I just needed a little time and mojo to create it!

With it being Uniko’s 11th Birthday, I felt I needed to pay homage to our brand colours, I think they worked well.

The sentiment is from Floral Vines, I simply masked to ink and stamp it stacked inside the white rectangle. And of course, I added some Nuvo Drops!

I hope you join in on the fun and look forward to seeing the gallery brimming with birthday cards.

Introducing… Mid Century Modern Purrfect Day and Stencil – MOD Background Builders Circles

Hello & Happy Thursday,

Welcome to Day 3 and the final day of the January 2023 Release Introductions.

Today I have two products to introduce. First, a mini clear stamp set called Mid Century Modern Purrfect Day. And a Stencil – MOD Background Builders Circles. Now if you watched me on How To Craft Network back in November 2022, you might recognise the stencil from my show then.

Let’s have a look at them in action.

The Stencil – MOD Background Builder Circles is designed just like the previously released Stencil – MOD Background Builder. In that it can be a single focal point, or it can easily be repositioned to fill an entire background.

As you can see for this first card I have used it as a focal point backdrop for my Mid Century Modern kitty from Purrfect Day.

I decided to colour the outline kitty with a dark grey Copic Marker and matched his eyes to the sorbet colour of my background. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks.

For my second card I used both the stencil and stamp set again to create a little scene.

This took a bit of patience and masking to stack the bowls and then mask again to stamp the cat and stencil the mat underneath. But I think it turned out pretty well.

As you know I like to pack in little elements that will provide creative opportunities and the stencil has 4 individual elements in the corners. Of which I used to create the stacked bowls. The detail stamped on the bowls is from Mid Century Modern Florals. The brown mat is created using a partial ink of one of the shapes from the Stencil Mid Century Modern Shapes.

I kept my card sentiment free and added to the wonky stacking by adding a dark grey die cut behind the focal image and then foam mounted to my base card.

That’s all the purrfect inspiration from me today!

Be sure to check out each of the Brand Ambassador blogs or social media for more inspiration and leave some love. You can find links HERE.

That’s all the introductions, which means tomorrow is Release Day! Myself and the Brand Ambassadors will be back tomorrow with more to share and all the products will be available at 10am GMT on the website.

Hope to see you!

Stencil Release Day & GIVEAWAY!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I am delighted that you have stopped by today and thank you if you have been following along with us this week. I know its been a while since I last had a release and I apologise for that. I design all the products myself and inspiration went a little wayward for a spell, but I had these stencil designs up my sleeve, so thought I would release these until the next stamps come out.

If you want a recap on what the stencils look like, please hop on over HERE and you’ll also find the links to the Brand Ambassador blogs for even more inspiration.

Be sure to leave a comment on their blogs or social media posts. I will be randomly selecting one lucky winner to receive all of the stencils being released today. You have until Midnight Wednesday 9th November to leave comments and I will announce the winner Thursday 10th November 2022.

And here is what I have made today using them…

For my first card today I decided to go for some colourful Flower Power #6 Roses. I started with the lower left purple rose inking through the solid shape and then adding the detail with a darker shade of purple. I applied the corresponding mask and repeated for the orange rose.

I then moved over to the right hand side of my card and repeated the process again. I purposefully left a gap to add a small inked and fussy cut rose and leaves which also framed the congratulations sentiment from Everyday Sentiments.

For my second card I reached for MOD Background Builder to create another colourful card…

I started by using masking tape along the angle. I then placed the stencil and inked through a rainbow (ish) selection of colours. I then moved the stencil as necessary to make sure the design filled my card.

I added a sentiment from Sentiments Outlined and finished with a few black Nuvo Drops.

Lastly for today I used Large Snowflake One.

I used the same shadow layering technique for the snowflake again, this time using white pigment ink through the snowflakes first and then moving slightly to then ink with Chipped Sapphire.

I finished with some white gold splatters and heat embossed the Let it Snow sentiment from Christmas Sentiments.

I hope you have enjoyed these past few days as much as I have. Thank you for all the support and comments here and across social media, they are all valued and appreciated.
Don’t forget the giveaway 😉

Introducing… Stencil Large Snowflake 1 and Large Snowflake 2

Happy Hump Day!

We are back today to hopefully get you over the hump with some awesome inspiration as we introduce two fun and festive Stencils – Large Snowflake 1 and Large Snowflake 2.

As you might know, I love snowflakes, so I couldn’t choose just one, so I decided to release both!

Now let’s have a look at them in action. I’ve used the same layout & used the snowflake stencils the same way, but I’ve switched up the colours and used different stencils and sentiments to pair with them.

First up for Large Snowflake One I went for an unconventional colour scheme of pinks & reds. I started by placing the snowflake stencil and inking through with Altenew Frosty Pink ink. I then moved the stencil slightly to create a shadow effect and then inked through with Ruby Red.

I then removed the stencil and placed the mask over the main red snowflake before placing & inking through the Stencil – Let it Snow with Coral Berry ink. I then splattered with some Gansi Tambi gold watercolour and added the Let it Snow sentiment from Christmas Sentiments.

For my second card I used Large Snowflake Two. I followed the same steps as before. This time I used Concord & 9th Inks.

Oceanside & Midnight for the snowflakes and Aqua Sky for the Stencil Scattered Polka Dots. Again I added some gold splatters and the sentiment is from Festive Sentiments, adhered using foam adhesive.

So that’s the formal introductions done! Which means tomorrow is release day – yay!

So which is your favourite? I can’t decide TBH as I just love snowflakes. So that’s it just 4 stencils added to the Uniko line up. They will be available to purchase tomorrow HERE on the website at 9am GMT.

If you need some more inspiration to help make up your mind, be sure to come back tomorrow for our usual blog hop & giveaway.
See you tomorrow.

Introducing… Stencil Flower Power #6

Happy Tuesday!

Welcome Back to Day 2 of the introductions. If you’ve missed anything or you are wondering what is going, please check out this post HERE. Also, we had a fun stencil introduction yesterday HERE

Today I am delighted to formally introduce you to the next flower in the Flower Power series of stencils, Flower Power #6.

I wanted this flower power stencil to be a little bit different from the others and not just a supersized version. The flowers are a lot larger than their counterpart clear stamp version. This stencil comes with the mask for the solid flowers and leaves, providing more creative options.

Let’s have a look at the stencil in action…

I am one for fussy cutting, but I think these flowers are nice and easy to cut out. I kept things pretty simple for this card and paired the flowers and leaves with a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks II.

For my second card today I used the masks, layering them and inking the background with Distress Oxide Speckled Egg and Chipped Sapphire. I did have to create two small leaf masks for the smaller rose.

Once I was happy with my background I removed the masks and inked the roses with Villainous Potion and Saltwater Taffy. I used Forest Moss for the leaves.

I added a sentiment from Everyday Sentiments and then splattered the card with some gold Gansi Tambi Starry Colours.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to hop along with the Brand Ambassadors for more amazing and creative inspiration. You can find the links HERE.

I do hope you will pop back tomorrow for the last two stencil introductions. They will all be available to purchase 9am GMT Thursday 3rd November 2022.
Until tomorrow, Crafty Hugs

Introducing… Stencil MOD Background Builder

Hello, Happy Monday & No Tricks, Just Treats, I Promise!

Welcome to the first of the introductions for this mini stencil release. I am super excited about this first stencil for a few reasons.

Firstly the design, it is a fun modern design that when I designed it, I had our Mid Century Modern Collection in mind. But as you will see from the all the inspiration today, it pairs with so many products wonderfully.

Let’s have a look at this stencil in action…

For my first card today I wanted to use the stencil as part of my focal point paired with a flower built using Mid Century Modern Florals.

I love this colour combo, shades of black, grey and a splash of orange. I finished the card off with a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks II and some orange Nuvo Drops.

For my second card I wanted to use just the stencil and show you how it can fill a whole background.

The stencil is designed to easily move and fill your space. I will share a video on how to use it, but simply I started with the stencil centred on my card and then moved it up, down and side to side until it was fully covered.

I then added a sentiment & accent from the stencil which I have inked & fussy cut. The sentiment is from Everyday Sentiments and adhered to the card using foam adhesive.

So what do you think? Do you love it as much as I do? Want to see more inspiration, be sure to check out the Brand Ambassador Blog Hop HERE.

This stencil along with the others we will be introducing over the next few days will be available on the website 9am GMT Thursday 3rd November.

As it’s Halloween, I am giving one lucky comment left across social media a chance to win their choice of stencil from the website. You have until midnight Thursday 10th November 2022 to comment.
