Introducing…Large Background Tropical Paradise

Hey!

Welcome to Day 2 of the July 2019 Release product introductions. This is the fun part where myself, my guest designer and the design team get to show you LOTS of inspiration, using all the new products leading up to  26th, July, Release Day!

Hopefully you have hopped on over from our lovely Guest Designer Keren’s blog HERE. If you missed the start of the hop and introduction to todays products, you can catch up HERE.

Today’s product is one new clear stamp set you might recognise. I recently designed it as part of a digital stamp collection for Simply Cards & Papercrafts Magazine HERE. As soon as I had designed it as a digital stamp I knew it HAD to be a physical stamp too! What better time than Summer (in the Northern Hemisphere) is there to be inspired and use this stamp?!

As much as this stamp looks fabulous in traditional tropical greens, it also looks awesome coloured rainbow style and paired with Bob the Toucan from Paradise clear stamp set…

July19intro7

I stamped the Large Background Tropical Paradise with Catherine Pooler Midnight ink. I then used Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends in a rainbow of colours to colour the leaves. Bob the Toucan is also stamped with Midnight ink and I simply coloured his beak and fussy cut him out.

July19intro7a

Now I couldn’t let the other strip of the Tropical Paradise that I’d coloured go to waste, so I put it to use on this next card…

July19intro8

This time I paired it with the ‘Have a Perfect Day’ sentiment from Sentiments Outlined which we introduced yesterday. I also added a couple of stamped leaves from Paradise Leaves and the solid Hibiscus flower from Paradise.

July19intro8a

I coloured the sentiment with a dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend and it is hard to see in the photo, but I added some clear Wink of Stella to the Hibiscus flower.

Lastly I wanted to heat emboss the Large Background Tropical Paradise and I have also paired it with a stamp set we will be introducing on Thursday…

July19intro9

I used WOW! Jealous Guy embossing powder for the background, it is a lovely lime green. The sentiment is from a new clear stamp set called Wild and I have stamped the main bold ‘Wild’ from the set, coloured it with a fine liner, fussy cut the letters and adhered them to the card using foam adhesive. I’ve also added Morning Dew Nuvo Drops to the ‘Wild’ sentiment.

July19intro9a

The smaller ‘About You’ is heat embossed with WOW! Opaque Bright White EP and I can’t wait to share more of this set on Thursday!

That’s all the samples I have to share with you today, but it wouldn’t be a release without a daily blog hop full of inspiration!

As usual my AWESOME Design Team and wonderful Guest Designer this month, Keren Baker have worked their magic with todays products, so be sure to hop along & see them. This is the order of the hop…

Introducing… Background Builders Classics and Sentiments Outlined

Hey!

Welcome to Day 1 of the July 2019 Release product introductions.

Today’s products are two new clear stamp set, another addition to the Background Builders collection, featuring classic designs and then a new mini clear stamp set featuring 3 fun sentiments in an outlined font.

First up I have the second card I created from the stamped colourful background using Background Builders Classics…

July19intro4

I simply adhered the strip to a white card base & then adhered a panel with another of the sentiments from Sentiments Outlined. This time I have coloured the sentiment in with a black fine liner. This gives the sentiment a whole different, bolder look. I finished the card off with some of my favourite Caribbean Ocean Nuvo Drops – yum!

July19intro4a

I was then inspired to create this card…

July19intro2

I used the ‘Celebrate in Style’ sentiment and simply repeatedly stamped it to fill a white card stock panel. I started with the sentiment that I have coloured rainbow style, and then stamping either side, above & below to create a repeated design.

July19intro2a

Again I used a black fine liner to colour the sentiments apart from the focal sentiment, in which I used Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the stamped panel to my card base using foam adhesive and filled in the gaps between the sentiments with retired Stampin’ Up! Enamel Stars.

July19intro2b

Following the colourful rainbow feel I decided to pair the ‘Have a Wonderful Birthday’ sentiment with Mid Century Modern Florals, which is from the April/May 2019 Release.

July19intro5

I started by stamping the open scalloped circle on a white card stock panel & then stamping the bursts in a rainbow of Altenew inks. I love how Gloss White Nuvo Drops change to the colour you drop them onto, like they have in the centres of the colourful bursts.

July19intro5a

Again I coloured the sentiment in a rainbow of Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Blends to match the rainbow of the sentiment. I have used a Lawn Fawn rectangle die to cut and layer the sentiment panel.

Lastly I was inspired by this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge seen HERE and below and this weeks Color Throwdown challenge seen HERE and below.

CTS_331

swatch552

And here is how I combined both the challenges onto my card…

July19intro3

The sketch was perfect for some ink blending using my TE Blender Brushes 😉 I used Altenew Pink Pearl ink and then Cloudy Night & Silver Lake for the thick stripe and scalloped stripe.

July19intro3a

The sentiment is stamped in Cloudy Night and then I used White Blizzard Nuvo Drops to fill in the sentiment to give a sparkly finish.

July19intro3b

That’s all the samples I have to share with you today, but it wouldn’t be a release without a daily blog hop full of inspiration!

As usual my AWESOME Design Team and wonderful Guest Designer this month, Keren Baker have worked their magic with todays products, so be sure to hop along & see them. This is the order of the hop…

Introducing… BIG & BOLD Wish Designer Dies

Hey!

Welcome to the last day of the April / May 2019 Release product introductions. If you missed Day 1, 2 and 3you can catch up HEREHERE and HERE, they’re not to be missed 😉

Today we have another set of matching Designer Dies to introduce to you. This time to coordinate with the previously released BIG & BOLD Wish clear stamp set. This set of dies have been requested by so many customers, that with the success of the BIG & BOLD Happy Designer Dies released in February, it was a must!

How about a look at these dies in action…

AprilSR2

How about a yellow and grey number with some smooth WOW Metallic Silver embossing?! This was such a quick CAS card to make and it could be easily changed to suit a recipients favourite colours.

AprilSR2a

Next I decided to go rainbow style…

IntroBBwishDD1

I’m hooked on this die! It’s so easy to use and create quick clean and simple cards with colourful impact. I’ve layered and offset the ‘wish’ word die, using a variety of SU! bright card stock colours. I’ve added the ‘big’ sentiment from the coordinating clear stamp set and embellished the design with sparkly clear Nuvo Drops and some clear Wink of Stella.

IntroBBwishDD1a

That’s all from me today using these new coordinating Designer Dies. However, it wouldn’t be a release without a daily blog hop full of inspiration!  As usual my AWESOME Design Team have worked their magic with todays products, so be sure to hop along & see them…

WOW!

That was so much fun! I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the new products in action? Tomorrow is release day – yay! I do hope you will join us for our traditional reveal and Design Team Blog Hop 🙂

Introducing… Stencil Mid Century Modern

Hey!

Welcome to Day 3 of the April / May 2019 Release product introductions. If you missed Day 1 and 2, you can catch up HERE and HERE, they’re not to be missed 😉

Today we are heading back to the Mid Century Modern era to introduce a new Stencil, Mid Century Modern. This stencil is a  much larger scale compared to the Background Block Mid Century Modern  we introduced on day 1 and it is great for all occasions and projects.

I’ve two cards to share with you today using this new stencil and I have gone for some fun clean lined, graphic, almost futuristic and more masculine styled cards…

IntroMCMstnecil2

As the stencil is my usual 6 x 6 inches in size I opted to make a 14 cm square card for my first card. This size card is a perfect fit for the stencils.

IntroMCMstencil1

I started by inking through the stencil with VersaMark ink onto a white card panel and heat embossed with WOW Opaque White EP. I then used Distress Oxides in my favourite colours and blended over the top.

IntroMCMstencil1a

I’ve finished the card off with tomorrows product introduction, BIG & BOLD Wish Designer Dies 🙂 and also some Ebony Black Nuvo Drops.

For my next card I decided to use my Oxides through the stencil onto some black card stock…

IntroMCMstencil3

I used the same colours as my first card, but they haven’t shown up as bright as I was expecting. That might be because I was lazy and didn’t clean my stencil from the VersaMark on my first card 🙁 I still like the result though!

IntroMCMstencil3a

This time I have finished the card off with the BIG & BOLD Happy Designer Dies and a sentiment from the coordinating clear stamp set. Oh, and some Gloss White Nuvo Drops 😉

It wouldn’t be a release without a daily blog hop full of inspiration! As usual my AWESOME Design Team and our Guest Designer this month have worked their magic with todays products, so be sure to hop along & see them…

That was so much fun! I hope you enjoyed it and you will join us again tomorrow for the last of the product introduction and LOTS more inspiration 🙂

Introducing… English Country Garden Butterflies Designer Dies & Large Background Sketched Foliage

Hey!

Welcome to Day 2 of the April / May 2019 Release product introductions. If you missed Day 1, you can catch up HERE, it is one not to be missed 😉

Today we are introducing English Country Garden Designer Dies & Large Background Sketched Foliage Clear Stamp. Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of todays introduction blog hop. I have shared a little bit about todays designs and where my inspiration for them came from.

Here is a look at todays products in action…

AprilSR3

First up is English Country Garden Butterflies Designer Dies. This set of coordinating dies have been on my wish list forever! Usually my first make with coordinating dies would be a shaker card, but I resisted the urge and kept my card clean and simple and used the largest butterfly die to create a raised die cut aperture!

AprilSR3a

Next I have a card using the Large Background Sketched Foliage…

AprilSR7

I wanted to have a little fun with this background stamp as it has a little more detail than the other 2 large background stamps I have in the Uniko line up. I’ve not long had the Avery Elle Focal Point Stripes Die and I thought it would be fun to use it as a focal point of this card to create a fun two tone green spotlighted image.

AprilSR7a

It looks complicated, but it is really quite a simple card to make & you can actually make 2 cards from the effort of one quite easily too! I used my MISTI stamping tool to stamp the background in 2 shades of green Altenew Ink (I used Fresh Leaf & Lime) onto panels of white card trimmed to the same size.

Then I simply die cut the Avery Elle Focal Point Stripes from the lighter (Lime) panel and adhered it to the darker panel using foam adhesive, making sure that the design matched up nicely. I then adhered it to my card base & stamped a sentiment from Simply Said.

That’s all I have to share with you today using these new products, but I will have more on release day. I know my awesome Guest Designer and Design Team have lots of inspiration to share with you, so be sure to hop on by to each of them…

Introducing… Mid Century Modern Florals & Mid Century Modern Background Blocks I & II

Hey!

Welcome to Day 1 of the April / May 2019 Release product introductions.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of todays introduction blog hop. I have shared a little bit about todays designs and where my inspiration for them came from.

I’ve 4 cards to share with you today using the 3 clear stamp sets…

IntroMCM1

Let’s have a look at them individually in more detail…

AprilSR4

First up is this pink & grey number. I’ve used Background Blocks Mid Century Modern on base card, stamping it in Altenew Silver Stone ink. This stamp is super easy to use to create an all over background, with no worries of having to line things up to match 😉

AprilSR4b

For the focal point panel I have combined 6 of the flower building stamps from Mid Century Modern Florals to create my flower. I used Altenew Coral Berry for the oval and I heat embossed the white detailing with Opaque Bright White WOW embossing powder.

I added the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment from Simply Said (available on backorder & due in stock 3rd May) and added my usual favourite, Nuvo Drops!

Next I decided to up my colour game and went for some bright orange & yellows…

AprilSR5

This time I have used Background Blocks Mid Century Modern II as my backdrop for another flower built with the stamps contained in Mid Century Modern Florals.

AprilSR5a

This time I used my MISTI stamping tool to stamp the background. First I stamped it in Altenew Silver Stone ink and then I stamped over in VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Clear Gloss WOW embossing powder. The dome shapes are coloured with the lighter shades of Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends and the detail on the flower with the brights.

AprilSR5b

This time I have added a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks and more of my favourite Nuvo Drops – just love these!

Continuing the orange colour scheme I was inspired by Orla Kiely for this card design…

AprilSP8

I’ve used the flower stem and largest double leaf stamps to create the repeated liner design down the right hand side of my top folding card. I used VersaMark ink and again heat embossed with Opaque Bright White WOW embossing powder.

AprilSR8a

The sentiment is from Birthday Wishes, which was released last month and I’ve die cut the square using Sizzix Stiched Frames. More Nuvo Drops to finish the design off too!

Lastly for today I wanted to create a bright overlapped design to show how the Mid Century Modern Floral stamps can be used in a different way.

AprilSR6

The sentiment from Birthday Wishes is stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed with Metallic Silver WOW embossing powder. I’ve then used Altenew inks in Aqualicious, Fuchsia, Fresh Lemon, Volcano Lake, Silver Stone & Industrial Diamond to stamp and overlap various images from the Mid Century Modern Florals set. This time I added Nuvo Drops in Ripened Pumpkin add a finishing touch.

AprilSR6a

That’s all I have to share today using these 3 stamp sets, but I will have more to share using them on release day!

For this release we have another inspiring Guest Designer joining us to help introduce all of the products. Please give a warm welcome to Jenny from Crafting in the Country.

IMGP4804blog

Hi I’m Jenny and I’m a crafter from the UK. I’ve always loved to colour, draw and make things but my addiction to card-making started when I discovered stamps, inks and dies. I love a Clean and Simple style with lots of white space but I’m one of those crafters that has to sit on her hands when I finish a card to keep that space empty!!.. Lol. I just want to say thank you to Beverley for inviting me join herself and the Uniko Design Team for the May Release… I’ve had fun creating with these great new products 🙂

Be sure to pop by Jenny’s blog HERE for your next stop on todays blog hop.It wouldn’t be a release without a daily blog hop full of inspiration!

As usual my AWESOME Design Team have worked their magic with todays products, so be sure to hop along & see them…

Introducing… Background Blocks Pinstripe & You Are, Yes You

Hey!

Welcome to the LAST day of our 7th Birthday & February 2019 Release product introductions. The last four days have been so fun and colourful. If you have missed any of them you can catch up HEREHEREHERE and HERE.

I’m back again today with my guest designer and the design team to show you LOTS of inspiration! This time we are introducing a new Background Blocks Pinstripe & Yes, You  clear stamps. Hopefully you have hopped on over from the start HERE where I have introduced these 2 new products a little.

How about a closer look at the cards I have made using them…

IntroPinstripe

This first card shows the pinstripe background perfectly! I’ve stamped it in Altenew Pink Diamond ink a couple of times using my stamping tool. The flower from You Are, Yes You is then stamped directly over the top in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and coloured with one colour of Prismacolor pencil. I added one of the leaves from the same set and a sentiment from Simply Said. Again finishing the design with Nuvo Drops 😉

IntroDay5a

The colours for the card were again inspired by this weeks CAS Colours & Sketches challenge seen HERE and below. I rather like this colour combo, as I am quite a sucker for Grey!

CC&S color307-001

For my next card I decided to use the flowers & leaves from You Are, Yes You to embellish the corners of a die cut sentiment window frame.

BirthdayWishes&YesYou

The sentiment is from Birthday Wishes, which was introduced on Day 2 and it fits perfectly inside the Papertrey Ink Mat Stack 4. The flowers and leaves are coloured with Stampin’ Up! stamping blends, fussy cut out and adhered to the card with double sided tape.

IntroDay5d

Lastly, I wanted to try my hand at stamping a wreath using a self made wreath builder template and one of the leaves from You Are, Yes You…
WreathYesYou
Oh my! This was so much fun to do! I stamped and masked the leaf as I went round to create a lovely leaf wreath. The sentiment is from You Are, Yes You and I stamped, fussy cut and coloured the flower from the set to add to where the wreath began and ended to make it look neat.
IntroDay5c

That’s all I have to share today using these products, but I know Ruth our Guest Designer this month along with the Design Team have SO much more to share with you.

Introducing… Passiflora & Designer Dies

Hey!

Welcome to Day 4 of our 7th Birthday & February 2019 Release product introductions. The last three days have been so fun and inspiring. If you have missed any of them you can catch up HEREHERE and HERE.

I’m back again today with my guest designer and the design team to show you LOTS of inspiration! This time we are introducing a new Passiflora Clear Stamp Set & Designer Dies. Hopefully you have hopped on over from the start HERE where I have introduced these 2 new products a little.

How about a closer look at the cards I have made using them…

IntroDay4a

My first card pairs the solid Passion Flower and leaf contained in the set with one of tomorrows introductions, another addition to the Background Block series. I’ve used my MISTI tool to stamp and layer the flower details, apart from the upper stamen of the flower, which is die cut and adhered with foam adhesive.

IntroDay4d

The darker shading on both the flower and the leaves was done by after stamping the image in a lighter shade. I used an ink dauber to apply the darker ink to selected areas of my stamp before stamping. I’ve found that using an ink dauber to apply the ink to the stamp results in a more even blended look. I’ve embossed the pinstripe background in gold, added a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks II and some Nuvo Drops too!

Continuing with the purple colour theme for the Passion Flower I opted for another clean and simple design…

IntroDay4c

Again I used the solid flower from the set (there is an outline flower too), but this time I white heat embossed the circular line detail of the flower and added the swirly foliage detail.

IntroDay4e

I’m loving the trend of embossed scoring lines, so tried my hand at it. It is quite subtle in the photo and more noticeable in real life. The sentiment is from Just Because clear stamp set and again I added my favourite Nuvo Drops!

Lastly it had to be a shaker card (apologies on my iffy photo, I’m still trying to get the hang of my new set up)…

IntroDay4b

There is something about new dies and my *need* to make a shaker card with them 😉 This time I went for some lovely bright pinks for the flowers and you can see that I have used the outline flower inside the shaker part of the card. I’ve also added a small circular detail stamp to the middle of that flower.

IntroDay4f

With the upper most solid flower I have used both of the stamen images, stamping, die cutting and layering them. If you look at some Passiflora flowers and the one I designed my stamp set from, they have a five stem stamen and then a 3 stem stamen. The sentiment is also from the set and again, more Nuvo Drops! I just love these too much! The shaker mix is from Little Things From Lucy’s Cards, Blush mix.

That’s all I have to share today using these products, but I know Ruth our Guest Designer this month along with the Design Team have SO much more to share with you.

Hop on by to see what Ruth has created HERE and this is the order of the hop following Ruth…

Introducing… Background Blocks Graffiti Texture

Hey!

Welcome to Day 3 of our 7th Birthday & February 2019 Release product introductions. The last two days have been so fun and colourful. If you have missed any of them you can catch up HERE and HERE.

I’m back again today with my guest designer and the design team to show you LOTS of inspiration! This time we are introducing a new Background Blocks Graffiti Texture clear stamp Hopefully you have hopped on over from the start HERE where I have introduced these 2 new products a little.

How about a closer look at the cards I have made using it…

IntroDay3a

This stamp to me speaks masculine and the randomness of the design appears as if it would be difficult to achieve a seamless pattern. However, with a tiny bit of masking I was able to stamp the block down one edge of a Smokey Slate card stock base.

IntroDay3d

I added a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks I which is layered with a piece of red card and adhered using foam adhesive. I finished the design with a trio of Nuvo Drops.

For my next card I decided to continue with the masculine theme and the grey colour scheme…

IntroDay3b

For this card I stamped the block in Altenew Silver Slate ink. I then stamped a trio of the stars from Background Builders: Seeing Stars in Aqualicious, Fresh Lemon and Orange Cream added the same sentiment from Simply Said Blocks I and some enamel stars.

IntroDay3e

Lastly I wanted to show how this background block can be used for a feminine card…

IntroDay3c

I was inspired by a couple of my favourite card challenges to create this card. First up the colour combo is from CAS Colours & Sketches seen HERE and below. Then the layout of my card is from Freshly Made Sketches seen HERE and below.

CC&S color307-001

FMS Final 374-001

To make this card I stamped the graffiti block in Rubellite and Pink Diamond ink. I then die cut a two sizes of Sizzix Framelits hearts. The sentiment is from the ‘secret’ clear stamp set being introduced on the 10th 😉

IntroDay3f

Once I had arranged the die cuts how I wanted them, I went in and added some stamped hearts from Flower Power #3. I also added some White Blizzard Nuvo Glitter Drops to the smaller stamped hearts to add a little sparkle.

That’s all I have to share today using these products, but I know Ruth our Guest Designer this month along with the Design Team have SO much more to share with you.

Introducing… Stencil Abstract Triangles & Birthday Wishes

Hey!

Welcome to Day 2 of our 7th Birthday & February 2019 Release product introductions. How fun & colourful was yesterday? It sure brightened up my Wednesday! If you missed it, you can catch up HERE.

I’m back again today with my guest designer and the design team to show you LOTS of inspiration! This time we are introducing a new Stencil Abstract Triangles & Birthday Wishes Clear Stamp Set. Hopefully you have hopped on over from the start HERE where I have introduced these 2 new products a little.

How about a closer look at the cards I have made using them…

IntroDay2a

I had this crazy idea to rainbow the Abstract Triangle stencil and I am glad I did as the results are FAB! I used my Altenew Inks for this as I have more colours to choose from and I didn’t want to repeat the colours too much. It was just a matter of masking off each triangle to apply the colour and move onto the next.

IntroDay2f

I trimmed my card to exactly 6 x 6 ” and place my stencil central, this left a nice border around the edge. I layered it onto a black card base and added the BIG & BOLD Happy die cuts & clear stamp sentiment to finish the design.

Next I used the same technique of placing my stencil to create a border down the vertical sides. This time I used Distress Oxide Inks and I trimmed my panel horizontal to create a slightly raised panel when adhered to my base card.

IntroDay2b

I added a slight sprite of water to the ink blending, added another of the sentiments from Birthday Wishes and a trio of Nuvo Gloss White Drops.

IntroDay2e

Lastly I have one more card using Birthday Wishes and to continue the rainbow theme I created a watercolour rainbow block panel for my sentiment to be stamped onto.

IntroDay2c

I used smooth watercolour card, an acrylic block & Zig Clean Color Brush Pens. I coloured my acrylic block with the Zigs in a rainbow format, spritzed them and also my panel of watercolored card and stamped it in place. I had a little ink movement as I lifted, but still the results were good.

IntroDay2d

I used my MISTI tool to stamp the sentiment as even though the watercolour card is smooth, it still took a couple of stamps to get a crisp image. The trio of circle stamps are from yesterdays BIG & BOLD Happy clear stamp set and I also added some colourful Nuvo Drops to their centres.

That’s all I have to share today using these products, but I know Ruth our Guest Designer this month along with the Design Team have SO much more to share with you.
