Introducing… Christmas Sentiments

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I am so glad you come back today as we continue the September / October 2021 Release product introductions. Today myself and my awesome Brand Ambassadors have another inspiring blog hop and we are introducing Christmas Sentiments.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, where you will find all the links to the Brand Ambassador blogs.

It’s no secret that I have had a crush on this font style for some time now – haha! So it was necessary to use it for a festive sentiment set, because lets face it, you can never have too many sentiment clear stamp sets!

It’s always a bit of a challenge to showcase a sentiment set, but it is also a good opportunity to use the sentiments and combine them with some of your favourite festive products.

As you can see, for my first card I have paired 4 of the mix and match sentiments with the Stencil – Winter Foliage.

For this I have simply applied white embossing paste through the stencil onto a white card base. I have then stamped and embossed the sentiments in white onto small scraps of coloured card. So fun and pretty quick to make.

For my second card today I decided to use the ‘Let it Snow’ sentiment and paired it with a long time favourite, Stunning Snowflakes.

Some simple repeat stamping of the sentiment and some sparkly embossed snowflakes – be still my snowflake loving heart!

That’s all I have to share with you today using these sentiment, but you will see more of them this week and this festive season.

Thanks for stopping by. Crafty Hugs

Introducing… Background Builders Winter Wonderland

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I am so glad you have popped by today as it is the first of the September / October 2021 Release product introductions. Today myself and my awesome Brand Ambassadors have an inspiring blog hop and we are introducing Background Builders: Winter Wonderland.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the hop and you will find all the links to the Brand Ambassador blogs.

Here is what I’ve created using this new stamp set…

For my first card using this set I wanted to create a wintery night time scene. I started with a circle stencil mask I created from copy paper. I then ink blended Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire with a little Black Soot around the top edges.

I then stamped the winter stag & tree image in black and the snowfall image in white. I added a few more snow drops using a white gel pen. The sentiment is from another new set we will be introducing this week. I finished the card off with a trio of tiny snowflakes from the Winter Wonderland set and added some gems.

For my second card today I went clean and simple with a modern and non traditional colour way. Spot my mistake of a back to front rainbow!

For this card I created template to cut the sentiment mat layer with a matching curve. I then followed the curve of the scene stamp to place and selectively stamp the sentiment.

I added the snowflake detail stamp to the top in a light grey ink to finish the card off.

Lastly today I went with a rustic Scandi feel and created an all over pattern using 3 of the 4 building stamps.

I added all 3 stamps to a large block, inked and stamped with VersaMark so that I could emboss with WOW! Opaque Bright White EP. I foam mounted the panel onto a matching Kraft card base.

A fairly quick and mass produceable design.

That’s all from me today, be sure to pop back tomorrow for the next of the product introductions.

Introducing… Doodle Flowers

Welcome to Day 5 and the last of the July 2021 Release Product Introductions. I can’t believe we are introducing the final product. Which means tomorrow is Release Day and all the goodies will be available to purchase on the website.

Today we have another inspiring blog hop and I saved the final floral, Doodle Flowers. You might recognise this flower from the previously released Background Blocks Doodle Flower and the Uniko Stencil Doodle Flowers. With the addition to this set in the mix, it provides even more mix and match options AND I’ve included some mix and match sentiments in a current favourite font!

So let’s get to what I’ve made today…

First up I decided to pair the stamps with the previously released stencil. Here I have used texture paste through the stencil to create the background. I have then added the outline doodle flowers which are stamped, coloured and fussy cut out.

I added one of the mix & match sentiments from the set that I have embossed in white onto scraps of black card. I finished the design off with some black Nuvo Drops.

Next I wanted to use the stamp set by itself and make a one layer card. I like these on hand as they’re mail friendly!

I already had my embossing supplies out on my desk, so I masked a section of my card off, stamped the flowers & leaves from the set & heat embossed white. I then used Distress Oxide Inks in Salvaged Patina and Wilted Violet to blend over the top.

Once I was happy I stamped another of the mix and match sentiments from the set and embellished with a few enamel dots from my stash.

Lastly for today I wanted to pair the set with the Background Block Doodle Flower.

For this I kept it simple. I stamped the block pattern in black and added some colour using Copic Markers. I stamped and fussy cut both the solid doodle flower and leaves from the set, placing them so I knew where to stamp the sentiment from the set.

This set really is good fun and has even more options when paired with the other coordinating products. Be sure to checkout the Brand Ambassador blogs for more inspiration and don’t forget to leave a comment along the way. I will be randomly selecting comments left in the lead up to Release Day on 25th July to win Uniko goodies!

Until tomorrow, Crafty Hugs

Introducing… Stencils Flower Power #8, Rainbow & Clouds, Squared & Tropical Leaf I

Hello & Happy Friday!

Welcome to Day 4 of the July 2021 Release Product Introductions. I can’t believe it’s Friday already & week 1 of the summer holidays is almost over.

Today we have another inspiring blog hop and we are introducing FOUR new stencil designs. A bit of a mix with hopefully something for everyone.

I have four cards to show you today, so let’s get to it…

First up I have this sparkly colourful card using the Flower Power #8 stencil. I recently purchased the Altenew Detail Blending Brushes and had to give them a whirl by colouring each of the flower segments a different colour!

I then applied some Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gel over the top to get this beautiful sparkle. I messed up a little, so I trimmed the flower to go over the edge of my card panel. I added a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks III and a trio of sparkly Nuvo Drops to finish.

Next up is a card using the Rainbow & Clouds stencil. The stencil contains 2 sizes of rainbow and 4 different sized clouds. Here I chose to use the smaller rainbow.

I am slowly stepping outside my comfort zone and this time I used some Gina K Pastillage Texture Paste. I removed the stencil, cleaned & when the paste was dry reapplied the stencil and used the detail blending brush to apply ink.

I love the subtle dimension of this texture paste. For the clouds I used Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gel and simply fussy cut the clouds out when dry. Again a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks III and a little glitter heart from my stash finished the card.

Another CAS card up next, this time using the Squared stencil. Again testing out the detail blending brushes I was able to selectively ink various squares to create a frame round my Birthday Wishes sentiment.

I’m looking forward to having another play with this stencil and paring it with Background Builders Squared!

Lastly for today I have another simple design using Tropical Leaf I. Here I used the detail blending brushes to add different shades of green for a interesting effect with it being a CAS design.

This time I added the Thinking of You sentiment from Simply Said Blocks II and a trio of Bottle Green Nuvo Drops to finish.

Just a quick look at all four stencils from me today, I know I will be sharing more in the coming weeks with these as well as all the new products I’ve introduced this week. Be sure to hop around the Brand Ambassador blogs for more inspiration and don’t forget to  leave comments along the way. I will be randomly selecting comments left in the lead up to Release Day on 25th July to win Uniko goodies!

Until tomorrow, Crafty Hugs

Introducing… Block Party Summer

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Welcome to Day 3 of the July 2021 Release Product Introductions. Today we have another inspiring blog hop and we are introducing the next addition to the Block Party series, Block Party Summer.

Inspired by my love of Subway Art, I get to combine fun and trendy fonts with images associated with the theme. Drawing from previously released clear stamp sets adds more versatility too.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the hop. But, lets have a look at what I’ve created today…

For my first card I wanted to keep things simple and I drew on the surf’s up sentiment, thinking of the waves lapping in at the beach. To create the background I created a wavy edge template and used Altenew’s Sea Shore ink collection to ink blend and create this fun backdrop.

I then simply stamped the block over the top in the darkest shade, Emerald. I decided to keep this card a simple one layer. Perfect for mailing out to a friend and sending them some tropical summer beach vibes.

Next I kept to the one layer again, but this time I wanted to chill out with some simple and vibrant colouring…

Here I stamped the block in black ink and simply coloured in the images using Copic Markers. It made for a relaxing evening as I cooled down from the hot day.

Lastly for today I wanted to use the block in a different way and opted for a landscape slimline design.

Here I stamped the block side by side, altering the part of the image that would be shown. I then heat embossed in clear so that it would show up on the Kraft card stock.

I then stamped just the ice cream section 3 times, coloured the images and fussy cut them out to adhere to the card using foam adhesive. The ‘You’re Sweet’ sentiment is from Pure Florals Cosmos.

That’s all from me today using this stamp, but be sure to hop along around the Brand Ambassador blogs for even more. Don’t forget to  leave comments along the way. I will be randomly selecting comments left in the lead up to Release Day on 25th July to win Uniko goodies!

I hope you’ll pop back tomorrow for the next of the product introductions.

Introducing… Background Blocks Layered Floral & Simply Said Blocks III

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Welcome to Day 2 of the July 2021 Release Product Introductions. We have another inspiring blog hop and we are introducing Background Blocks Layered Floral & Simply Said Blocks III. Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the hop.

I have three cards to share with you today using this stamp set, so let’s get to it.

First up I have this almost one layer card where I have simply stamped the flower part of the block and then the leaf part of the block. I then used one of the Simply Said Block III sentiments, which is adhered using foam adhesive.

For my second card I wanted to create another almost one layer card, this time I wanted a colourful one. To create this I used my stamping tool.

Once I had positioned the stamps in my stamping tool, I inked and stamped each of the flowers individually. With the flowers being fairly far apart from each other there was only minimal masking required.

Once I had stamped the leaves in place, I went in and added some more of the single leaf images in some of the gaps and also added the dot detail. I kept the sentiment the same, but changed the position.

For my last card today I wanted to show how this stamp can be used to fill a card.

I’m slowly getting into the slimline card trend, so tried my hand at this size for the floral pattern. I started by stamping the flowers and then the leaves at one side of the panel. I then alternated and stamped the leaves and then the flowers for spacing and then again to fill the panel.

I finished the card off with another of the Simply Said Block III sentiment and paired it with BIG & BOLD Hello, which is fussy cut and adhered using foam adhesive.

As you can see there are lots of options in how to use this stamp set and I will have more to share later in the week. I know the Brand Ambassadors have lots of inspiration too, so be sure to hop along and see. Don’t forget to  leave comments along the way. I will be randomly selecting comments left in the lead up to Release Day on 25th July to win Uniko goodies!

Thats all from me , I hop you pop back tomorrow for the next of the product introductions. Crafty Hugs

Introducing… Background Blocks Grid and Background Blocks Diagonal Stripe

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I am so glad you have popped by today as it is the first of the July 2021 Release product introductions. Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the hop.

Today myself and my awesome Brand Ambassadors have an inspiring blog hop and we are introducing Background Blocks Grid and Background Blocks Diagonal Stripe. I am delighted to be expanding this series of stamps with another couple of simple, but fun designs.

First up, let me introduce you to Background Blocks Diagonal Stripe…

For this card I used my stamping tool, masking and a rainbow of colours to get this fun effect. It was a little time consuming, but the results are fun. I couldn’t resist giving you a peek some other things being introduced later this week.

An addition to the Simply Said Blocks series and do you recognise the flowers?

Next up is an abstract kind of card using the Background Block Grid. This was another pretty time consuming design, but again I think it is super striking.

I randomly stamped the block on my base card and then I coloured in alternate squares to create a checkerboard / gingham pattern. I added the BIG & BOLD Happy die cut and another new Simply Said Blocks III sentiment.

That’s all I have to share today using these two new stamps, but there is so much more inspiration on the Brand Ambassador blogs. Be sure to hop along and leave a comment. I will be randomly selecting comments left in the lead up to Release Day on 25th July to win Uniko goodies!

I hope you pop back tomorrow for the next of the product introductions.

Introducing… Stencil English Country Garden Butterflies Bundle

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Welcome back to day 3 and the final introduction of the June 2021 Mini Uniko Stencil Release. Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the hop.

Let me introduce you to the next stencils, English Country Garden Butterflies Bundle…

The bundle consists of two 6 x 6 inch stencils and a mask. Although I have bundled these together, there are lots of creative ways of using them on their own. Just as there is by using them together and combined with the English Country Garden Butterflies clear stamp AND the English Country Garden Butterflies Designer Dies!

Here is how I used them today…

I started off simple for my first card & combined both of the stencils. I started by inking the solid butterfly first with Distress Oxide inks in Mustard Seed, Spiced Pumpkin & Lipstick.

I then placed the detail stencil over the top and used Spiced Pumpkin, Lipstick and Festive Berries. I finished the card with a sentiment from Birthday Sentiments.

So many ideas for these stencils, but lastly for today I wanted to use just the butterfly mask…

I often forget to reach for other colour card, but I am currently going through a phase of using Kraft! I love how Distress Oxide inks still remain bright and vibrant on Kraft.

For this I temporarily adhered the mask and inked around using Salvaged Patina, Wilted Violet & Picked Raspberry. The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks II and I added a little trio of black Nuvo Drops.

That’s all from me today, but be sure to hop around all of the Brand Ambassador blogs…

This stencil bundle along with the others introduced over the last couple of days will be available for purchase HERE on the website tomorrow Sunday 20th June at 9am BST.

Be sure to pop back tomorrow for the June 2021 Stencil Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Introducing… Stencil Mixed Mini Geometrics

Hello & Happy Friday!

Welcome back to day 2 of the June 2021 Uniko Stencil Release.  If you missed the peeks and news about the release/s I shared Wednesday, be sure to catch up HERE and we also introduced the first stencil and next addition to the Pure Florals collection HERE.

Let me introduce you to the next stencil, Mixed Mini Geometrics…

This is a 6 x 6 inch stencil. It is exactly as its name states a mix of mini geometrics in a random design. Perfect for so many different projects from masculine to florals to focal points and more!

Let’s see how I’ve used it today…

First up I decided to use it as a colourful backdrop to the floral/foliage silhouette from Just Because.

I love the trend of mixing Geometrics with florals and I felt that the silhouette stamped in black would make a bold statement against a colourful Background. I love how this turned out and also loving the new Distress Oxide ink colour, Salvaged Patina!

For my second card today I kept with the floral / geometric mix, but I kept the geometrics a little more subtle…

I used a bit of masking to create the geometric border down the sides of my card base to frame the focal sentiment panel.

I used a sentiment from Wonderful Day and my MISTI to repeat stamp it down the panel which I have adhered using foam adhesive. I finished the card by accenting it with a bloom from the same Wonderful Day stamp set.

That’s all from me today! Be sure to hop along with the Brand Ambassadors for more inspiration and I do hope you will pop by tomorrow for the next introduction.

Introducing… Stencil Pure Florals Rose

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I am delighted you have stopped by today. Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the fun!

I am so excited to be bringing a Mini Uniko Stencil Release this month and today myself and the Uniko Brand Ambassadors get to show you the new stencils in action.

I’m over the moon to be adding these NEW Uniko Stencils to the growing collection. If you missed the peeks and news about the release/s I shared yesterday, be sure to catch up HERE.

Let me introduce you to the next in the Pure Florals collection, Stencil Pure Florals Rose…

This is a 6 x 6 inch stencil, so the bloom is beautifully large like the Chrysanthemum and the Gerbera. And like the others this stencil coordinates with the previously released and popular Pure Florals Rose clear stamp set.

I’ve had SO much fun ‘playing’ with stencils, trying out some mixed media techniques and still keeping a CAS feel with some of them. Like this first card…

For this I used a piece of water colour card. I found some postcard sized pieces, perfect for cards. The make is Langton and the weight is 140g, so nice and sturdy.

For this I started out with my stencil on my work space with the design on the opposite side to the direction I wanted the rose to face on my card.

I then used water based markers (I used Stampin’ Up! as I have a good mix of colours) to colour the lines of the stencil and around the outside. No need to be super perfect at this as once you’ve coloured it, you spritz lightly with water.

Before you place your water colour card over the top, you want to give that a light brushing of water to wet the card. This helps transfer the ink a little more.

The result is a beautiful watercolour outline rose, which was lovely, but I felt it needed a little more definition. I placed the clean and dry stencil over the top and used a fine liner to carefully draw inside the stencil. To finish I mounted the piece onto a dark smokey grey card base and added the congratulations sentiment from Simply Said Blocks II.

Lastly for today I had a play with another fun technique and this time I remembered to take some photos of the process 😉

Hello Distress Oxide inks, it’s been a while 😂 This is a shadow stencilling technique and depending on the stencil you use, it can be quite subtle like it has turned out with this design.

Step 1 – Kraft card base. I used a 13 x 13 cm square. Temporarily adhere your card to your work space and place the stencil where you want the design to be. Ink the design with white pigment ink until you are happy with the coverage.

Step 2 – Remove & clean the stencil. Once clean & dry reposition the stencil leaving a small border. I moved mine up by about 1mm and across to the right by 1mm.

Step 3 – Start applying your chosen colours.

I am using Distress Oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade & Mustard Seed. I chose DOI because I find them smoother to blend. Though for this stencil I use sponge daubers instead of a brush as the stencil has large areas with delicate stencil details that can move quite easily.

Apply the colours of ink until you are happy, and then remove the stencil.

Hopefully you can see the subtle white shadow border it leaves on the design.

I kept this card sentiment free and simply mounted the stencilled piece onto a pink and purple card base.

That’s all from me today! Be sure to hop along with the Brand Ambassadors for more inspiration and I do hope you will pop by tomorrow for the next introduction.
