This is how I was inspired…

JulyClass4

I was inspired to try colouring on coloured card after my recent card I shared HERE. This time I used SU! Basic Grey card, stamping, embossing and masking the Pure Florals: Cosmos to create a small cluster of flowers.

I then used my Prismacolor Pencils to colour the flowers in. I used just two colours for the petals and just one yellow for the centres.

The Uniko Design Team have done an awesome job and have created a wealth of inspiration HERE. Be sure to pop on over to the Uniko blogspot blog to find the links and also the linky to link up your creations!

Now, if you need more incentive to play along with the challenge here are the details of the prizes.

 * The DT will choose a winner who will get a £15 gift voucher.
* The DT choose a Top 3 who will each get 100 Loyalty Rewards Points added to their Uniko customer account.
* We will do a random draw for all those who use A UNIKO stamp. This winner will get 200 Loyalty Reward Points added to their Uniko customer account.

You’ve got plenty of time to play along with this month’s challenge.  The deadline for submission is midnight (BST) on Friday 12th August (7.00pm EDT).

I hope to see you in the gallery!

Stamp Of The Week – Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum

Hey!

A new week and a NEW Stamp Of The Week! This week I am dusting off… Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum

PFchrysanthemumPP

Todays card is another quick CAS card…

2016SOTW71a

This time I chose to work with the largest solid bloom, stamping it 3 times onto a white mat layer using SU! Calypso Coral ink around the Congratulations sentiment also from the set. After the ink had dried I used my Wink Of Stella pen to colour over the stamped bloom, petal by petal to add a subtle sparkle to the card. The panel is then adhered to a Calypso Coral card base.

2016SOTW71b

A fun, quick and simple card idea to mass produce. The sentiment could easily be switched to suit any occasion.

Ok, that’s all from me tonight, I am trying to do at least an hour weeding, pruning and generally clearing the back garden. We are getting rid of two boarders that were full of prickly bushes and ivy to make more grass area for the boys to play on. Then I can let them play out without constant supervision as I know that they can’t escape from the garden!!

Anyway, I will be back tomorrow with more inspiration featuring this set and don’t forget that this set is discounted HERE on the website this week. Plus I have another 15% off discount code THIS WEEK ONLY!

Todays card is one that I have been ‘planning’ to make for some time now, one of those I ‘want to make’ cards but never seem to get round to making! Today was the day though and here it is…

2016SOTW70

It’s a really simple card using the two smaller Chrysanthemum stamps in the set. Even though it is just a randomly layered stamping card in two colours with just a section masked for the sentiment, I had a few attempts with my stamping tonight!

2016SOTW70a

Ok, that’s all from me tonight, not much to say about my card really and I think the beans have worm me out! I will be back tomorrow with more inspiration featuring this set and don’t forget that this set is discounted HERE on the website this week. Plus I have another 15% off discount code THIS WEEK ONLY!

Todays card is another that we made at the class on Saturday at The Paperlane and is one of my favourites…

JulyClass5

I like colouring and especially with my Prismacolor Pencils, they look awesome on Kraft card stock, especially bright yellows and oranges.

2016SOTW69a

This took quite a bit of stamping, embossing in detail white EP and masking, I started with the small outline bloom and then each of the leaves. I then spent probably about 30+ minutes colouring them in. Starting with the lighter shades and adding details with the medium and dark shades and then going back in blending with the lightest.

2016SOTW69

I kept the sentiment, other embellishments and details simple, so not to take any focus away from the beautiful flower.

As I have done some colouring, I am entering it into Kathy Racoosin’s 30 Day Colour Challenge HERE.

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

Clear Stamps

Yesterday I realised that I used Flower Power #2 as a SOTW a few weeks ago, I do apologise for repeating myself. However, it’s more inspiration for you using this set!

Anyway, how about one last card this week using this set…

2016SOTW64

Today I have paired it with Natures Treasures I again, the leaves in this set are the perfect size to pair with the blooms. The layout of my card was inspired by the current Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below.

FMS Final 243-001

My card came together pretty quickly as I had some left over stamped blooms from my other cards this week! I opted for a Soft Stone card base as I wanted a softer cleaners to my card as I knew I wanted to use a With Sympathy sentiment. It is for one of my neighbours as they have recently lost one of their cats.

I feel for them as I am a cat lover too and Ted used to spend a lot of time in our garden with Mr Cat and was good company for him.

Anyway, that’s all from me today, I will be back tomorrow with a new SOTW and featuring a set that I haven’t done so this time!Don’t forget that this set is discounted HERE on the website this week. Plus I have a little discount code for a limited time only. Use the code summer15 during the checkout process, code expires midnight 4th July 2016.

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

Clear Stamps

I seem to have had one of those weeks where time has simply slipped away from my grasp! Plus I realised that I used Flower Power #2 as a SOTW a few weeks ago, I do apologise for repeating myself. However, it’s more inspiration for you using this set!

Anyway, on with my card…

2016SOTW63

I thought I would do a little reminder that there is still time to join in on the current Uniko challenge HERE and seen below, which is a photo inspiration challenge.

ChallengeGraphic6

Again I was inspired by the colours and I thought with the outline Flower Power #2 bloom being quite open and loopy fitted well with the inspiration.

2016SOTW63a

I die cut a piece of white CS using one of my Project Life dies, stamped the flowers and sentiment, added some candy dots and faux stitching round the outside. The base of my card is lined with a piece of patterned CS from a SU! kit which I added glitter to myself as I thought it required a little more oomph!

I have one more card to share tomorrow, so I hope to see you then!  Don’t forget that this set is discounted HERE on the website this week. Plus I have a little discount code for a limited time only. Use the code summer15 during the checkout process, code expires midnight 4th July 2016.

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

This set is one of my all time favourite flowers, it is originally based on a cherry blossom. The set has recently come back in stock and so I decided I would dust it off and give it some more love.

This is how I decided to use it today…

2016SOTW62

As usual I was inspired by a challenge, the same as Tuesday! My colour combination is from the new ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

I recently purchased the SU! Sunshine Wishes dies as I just LOVE the heart die in the collection, which I have used on my card today. The layout of my card is a CASE of one I came across on Pinterest HERE.

2016SOTW62a

I was hoping to have shared this yesterday, but simply ran out of time, this week is going WAY to fast! I WILL be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted HERE on the website this week.

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

Clear Stamps

This set is one of my all time favourite flowers, it is originally based on a cherry blossom. The set has recently come back in stock and so I decided I would dust it off and give it some more love.

This is how I decided to use it today…

2016SOTW61

As usual I was inspired by a couple of challenges! First up my colour combination is from the new ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

348

I recently purchased some Clarity Stencil Brushes, as I have heard and seen so many great reviews on them. I’ve been wanting to get into and better at ink blending and use the stencils I own that have been sitting on my shelf for an age!

In the past I have used the sponges and applicator tools, but seem to get hard line/ink areas where I haven’t worked the blending in properly from the edges. I am impatient and gave up!

This card is only my second attempt at using the brushes and I am already happier with my results. My first attempt card using them can be seen HERE.

2016SOTW61a

I used a mixture of SU! inks for the yellow/orange flowers and a mix of Distress Ink and SU! ink for the turquoise flower. After blending the inks on some scrap pieces of card I heat embossed the outline flower using detail white and fussy cut them out. The leaves are a blend of SU! green inks and then I used Certainly Celery to stamp the stem and leaves, fussy cutting just so the leaves remained.

As the current “Less is More” challenge HERE is to use a stencil, I finally put my SU! one to use! I masked off the stencil leaving just 3 lines. I then used SU! Night Of Navy to apply the colour, making sure I applied the ink from the left side to make it darker and fade the ink across to the right. I still need plenty of practice, but overall I am happier with the results using the brushes.

Ok, that’s all from me tonight, I have had a busy day with the beans visiting a new play area and as much as it wore them out, it has done the same to me! I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted HERE on the website this week.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂

CLICK HERE to see more from Anita and leave some love 🙂

This is how I was inspired…

USC#33

Like Sarah G I was inspired to use Garlands Galore with tiny flowers from Background Builders: Vines and hearts from Flower Power #3. I was also inspired by a birthday card I received this year and have been wanting to ‘CASE’ it ever since. when I saw the inspiration photo that Nicki chose I knew the design would work.

USC#33a

In hindsight, the grey I used for the garland strings is a little dark and I wish I had used my  SU! Going Grey rather than PTI Smokey Shadow – never mind!

The other colours I used are VersaMagic Pink Grapefruit, Mango Madness and Oasis Green. The sentiment is from Simply Said.

The Uniko Design Team have done an awesome job and have created a wealth of inspiration HERE. Be sure to pop on over to the Uniko blogspot blog to find the links and also the linky to link up your creations!

I hope to see you in the gallery!

Uniko Sponsors AAA Cards!

Hey!

I’m a little late to the party, various reasons such as designing new stamps, sorting restocks and looking after crazy beans!

Anyway… Uniko is SUPER DUPER happy to be sponsoring AAA Cards. There is a FABulous celebration and challenge happening HERE as AAA Cards is celebrating their 2nd Birthday.

There are lots and LOTS of prizes and fun to join in on, so be sure to check it out and I hope you will join in the celebration – you’d be silly not to 😉

As it is a celebration and I haven’t had much time to be creative card making wise in the studio I squeezed in a little card making this evening…

Tonight I decided to give the recently released Fun Flowers some inky love, using a lovely quartet of bright cheery colours. I recently purchased a pack of the mini Distress Inks in my favourite colour combo – perfect!

I also used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below for my card. You got to love a sketch to get the old creative mojo a flowing again 😉

The flowers are stamped onto some SU! Whisper White CS starting with the smallest flower. I then fussy cut them out and layered them onto a white card base using DST.

The sentiment is from Strike A Pose! and is adhered to the card, overlapping the flowers using foam adhesive. I added a small amount of Wink Of Stella to various parts of the flowers and a tiny rhinestone to the centre of each for that added sparkle 😉

That’s all from me today, it is just about my bedtime after a VERY long day! I do hope to see you in the AAA Cards gallery and most of all having fun 🙂

Until the next time, thanks for stopping by today.
