Stencil Release Day & GIVEAWAY!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I am delighted that you have stopped by today and thank you if you have been following along with us this week. I know its been a while since I last had a release and I apologise for that. I design all the products myself and inspiration went a little wayward for a spell, but I had these stencil designs up my sleeve, so thought I would release these until the next stamps come out.

If you want a recap on what the stencils look like, please hop on over HERE and you’ll also find the links to the Brand Ambassador blogs for even more inspiration.

Be sure to leave a comment on their blogs or social media posts. I will be randomly selecting one lucky winner to receive all of the stencils being released today. You have until Midnight Wednesday 9th November to leave comments and I will announce the winner Thursday 10th November 2022.

And here is what I have made today using them…

For my first card today I decided to go for some colourful Flower Power #6 Roses. I started with the lower left purple rose inking through the solid shape and then adding the detail with a darker shade of purple. I applied the corresponding mask and repeated for the orange rose.

I then moved over to the right hand side of my card and repeated the process again. I purposefully left a gap to add a small inked and fussy cut rose and leaves which also framed the congratulations sentiment from Everyday Sentiments.

For my second card I reached for MOD Background Builder to create another colourful card…

I started by using masking tape along the angle. I then placed the stencil and inked through a rainbow (ish) selection of colours. I then moved the stencil as necessary to make sure the design filled my card.

I added a sentiment from Sentiments Outlined and finished with a few black Nuvo Drops.

Lastly for today I used Large Snowflake One.

I used the same shadow layering technique for the snowflake again, this time using white pigment ink through the snowflakes first and then moving slightly to then ink with Chipped Sapphire.

I finished with some white gold splatters and heat embossed the Let it Snow sentiment from Christmas Sentiments.

I hope you have enjoyed these past few days as much as I have. Thank you for all the support and comments here and across social media, they are all valued and appreciated.
Don’t forget the giveaway 😉

I’m still in full on Christmas mode, I need to sit down this weekend and write my cards and get some in the mail! As usual I think I am super organised, when really I am not – haha!

I dusted off Rustic Christmas for my card today. I can’t believe this is my first time inking it up this festive season.

I kept my design super simple as I might just need another quick mass produceable card for those last minute makes 😉 I added some little red heart embellishments and a sentiment from Christmas Sentiments.

Uniko Challenge #68 – Celebrate + Optional Twist Reds & Greens

Hello & Happy Friday!

Welcome to the November/December 2021 Uniko Challenge. This time we have the super simple theme of Celebrate, with an Optional Twist of using Reds & Greens.

For this challenge we are delighted to welcome Vicky as our Guest Designer.

As usual the Uniko Brand Ambassadors have an inspirational selection of creations to show you. And albeit late to the party, I have a couple of cards to share too…

I’ve been wanting to ink up the Stencil – Christmas Pop for a while now and it seemed perfect to ink it up for this challenge. I started with a simple design and opted to use the stripe Christmas tree design.

I started with a set of 4 shades of green ink to create an ombre effect. I then applied Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel through the stencil to add some sparkle. My chosen sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks.

For my second card today I opted for another simple design to create a square card…

This time I opted for the solid Christmas tree and created a focal point using three shades of green and altering the level of the tree to create some interest.

This time I added a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks Christmas which I have adhered using foam adhesive.

So, are you ready to play?

Well, just in case you need some more incentive to play along with the challenge here are the details of the prizes

Crafty Hugs,

September/October 2021 Reveal, Release & Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Yay 🎉 it’s the day we’ve all been waiting for!

Finally I have introduced you to the 3 new stamp sets and the new stencil in their entirety. They are all available to purchase HERE on the website now. AND we have our usual Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY! Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE where I have formally done the above and you will find the full hop list.

So let’s get to the fun stuff and see what I have created for today!

First up is another card using yesterdays introduction, Pattern Building Christmas Tree. As you can see I couldn’t resist pairing it with the previously released Background Blocks Scandinavian Christmas .

A little more busy than my usual CAS style, but I think these products pair nicely together. Lots of fussy cutting on this card, but I think the results are totally worth it.

Next today I have another card using Pattern Building Christmas Tree, but I used one of the stamps to create a fun frame.

Unfortunately I can’t say that I came up with this idea though. It was Sam Squires from the Funky Fossil Design Team who inspired me to create a frame. Sam used this stamp set for our Instahop collaboration HERE. BTW, there is still time to hop along and be in the chance of winning.

For my card I added a sentiment from Christmas Wishes and embellished with some holly leaves and berries from Winter Foliage.

I have one last card to share today and again I have used Pattern Building Christmas Tree! This time I decided to pair it with another old favourite, Peace On Earth.

I created a similar card for the Funky Fossil Instahop collaboration and I used their birds to hold the string. So I couldn’t resist remaking the card, but with Uniko birds.

That’s all I have to share for now, but I will be back with more this week. Have fun on the hop, don’t forget to comment along the way to be in the chance of winning. You have until Midnight BST Sunday 10th October.

Thank you for all your comments and support of the release this week.

Introducing… Pattern Building Christmas Tree

Hello!

Happy Saturday and Happy World Card Making Day 😊

I am so glad you come back today as we introduce the last of the September / October 2021 Release product. Today myself and my awesome Brand Ambassadors have another inspiring blog hop and we are introducing another new and super fun stamp set, Pattern Building Christmas Tree.

I am delighted to be bringing you this fun concept stamp set which incorporates my love of pattern. Fingers crosse you love it as much as I do!

Lets have a look at it in action…

The idea behind this stamp set is that you can ‘build’ your Christmas Tree using all or a variety of the patterns and toppers contained in the set. There is of course the option of using and combining previously released Uniko sentiments and pattern style stamps.

Here I have used just a selection of the building strips to create this fun pattern Christmas Tree with incorporated sentiment. The colours, the combinations and ways of stamping add to the variety and fun of this set.

I added a little bit of glitter in places to bring a little more festivity to the card.

For my next card today I went for a similar stamping style, but instead I decided to stamp and emboss my tree white onto Navy card stock.

I also added some snowfall from Background Builders: Winter Wonderland above and below my Christmas Tree.

For my last card today using this clear stamp set I wanted to show how it could possibly be used all year round and not just for Christmas.

A fun rainbow birthday card! Honestly I had so much fun stamping this rainbow of pattern. I’ve then simply added it to my card base on a angle for added interest and finished with a sentiment from Floral Vines and some Nuvo Drops.

I had so much fun creating with this stamp set and all the release for that matter, but I will be sharing more tomorrow in our traditional Reveal, Release, Brand Ambassador Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

I do hop you will stop by tomorrow and join in on the fun.

Introducing… Christmas Sentiments

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I am so glad you come back today as we continue the September / October 2021 Release product introductions. Today myself and my awesome Brand Ambassadors have another inspiring blog hop and we are introducing Christmas Sentiments.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, where you will find all the links to the Brand Ambassador blogs.

It’s no secret that I have had a crush on this font style for some time now – haha! So it was necessary to use it for a festive sentiment set, because lets face it, you can never have too many sentiment clear stamp sets!

It’s always a bit of a challenge to showcase a sentiment set, but it is also a good opportunity to use the sentiments and combine them with some of your favourite festive products.

As you can see, for my first card I have paired 4 of the mix and match sentiments with the Stencil – Winter Foliage.

For this I have simply applied white embossing paste through the stencil onto a white card base. I have then stamped and embossed the sentiments in white onto small scraps of coloured card. So fun and pretty quick to make.

For my second card today I decided to use the ‘Let it Snow’ sentiment and paired it with a long time favourite, Stunning Snowflakes.

Some simple repeat stamping of the sentiment and some sparkly embossed snowflakes – be still my snowflake loving heart!

That’s all I have to share with you today using these sentiment, but you will see more of them this week and this festive season.

Thanks for stopping by. Crafty Hugs

Introducing… Background Builders Winter Wonderland

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I am so glad you have popped by today as it is the first of the September / October 2021 Release product introductions. Today myself and my awesome Brand Ambassadors have an inspiring blog hop and we are introducing Background Builders: Winter Wonderland.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, the start of the hop and you will find all the links to the Brand Ambassador blogs.

Here is what I’ve created using this new stamp set…

For my first card using this set I wanted to create a wintery night time scene. I started with a circle stencil mask I created from copy paper. I then ink blended Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire with a little Black Soot around the top edges.

I then stamped the winter stag & tree image in black and the snowfall image in white. I added a few more snow drops using a white gel pen. The sentiment is from another new set we will be introducing this week. I finished the card off with a trio of tiny snowflakes from the Winter Wonderland set and added some gems.

For my second card today I went clean and simple with a modern and non traditional colour way. Spot my mistake of a back to front rainbow!

For this card I created template to cut the sentiment mat layer with a matching curve. I then followed the curve of the scene stamp to place and selectively stamp the sentiment.

I added the snowflake detail stamp to the top in a light grey ink to finish the card off.

Lastly today I went with a rustic Scandi feel and created an all over pattern using 3 of the 4 building stamps.

I added all 3 stamps to a large block, inked and stamped with VersaMark so that I could emboss with WOW! Opaque Bright White EP. I foam mounted the panel onto a matching Kraft card base.

A fairly quick and mass produceable design.

That’s all from me today, be sure to pop back tomorrow for the next of the product introductions.

Uniko Sponsors AAA Cards – Along the Edge with Optional Twist Snowflakes

Happy Sunday!

I’m here today to let you know about the new challenge over at AAA Cards AND Uniko is also the proud sponsor of the challenge, so another opportunity to get yourself some Uniko goodies!

This time they want to see the detail along the edge of your card & there is an optional twist of using snowflakes! Who doesn’t love snowflakes?!

If you know me, I love a snowflake or two, or three! So I had to choose the optional twist and add them to my card today.

I’ve combined a couple of Uniko snowflake goodies along the bottom edge of my card. First, I used the Stencil Let it Snow and then I added some snowflake embellishments using the Stunning Snowflakes clear stamp set. The sentiment is also from this set.

Such a fun challenge! Be sure to head on over HERE to AAA Cards post for all the details and the link up. I look forward to seeing you have some fun with this one and don’t forget to tag Uniko if you share your entry on social media 🙂

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020 Day 7

Welcome to Day 7 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020!

Uniko is super excited again to be a part of this wonderful festive event organised by Tracey McNeely from In My Creative Opinion. If this is your first year joining in and finding out about the fun you can read all about it HERE.

Hopefully you have hopped on over from the Uniko Blogspot Blog HERE. If not, be sure to pop on over and see all the inspiration from the Uniko Brand Ambassadors joining in on the event.

I made a couple of tags for today & I am sure I will be back to share some more over the coming days too 😉

For my first tag I was inspired to use a non-Christmas Uniko clear stamp paired with the holly & berries from Winter Foliage. I used Background Blocks Wonky Stripes.

This is such a fun and versatile stamp, I’ve used it for so many different occasions and it is easy and fun to colour too. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Festive Sentiments and my tag shape is the All The Merrys from Concord & 9th.

This week Brand Ambassador Jane shared some Christmas card inspiration HERE using Jolly Christmas, which inspired me to dust off my Jolly Christmas Santa and make a tag!

Another CAS design! This time the HO HO HO sentiment is from Background Builders Christmas 2018. I’ve just inked and stamped just a section of the stamp.

The tag shape is an older die from Papertrey Ink, as is the polka dot ribbon. I think this is the only time of year I currently reach for and use ribbon and twine these days!

I look forward to seeing you join in on the event & if you share your tags on social media using Uniko products, be sure to mention @unikoltd and or hashtag #unikostamps #unikoltd 🙂

How about an extra Christmas themed GIVEAWAY?! Simply leave a comment on this post by November 30th 2020 and I will randomly select a lucky comment to win a Christmas bundle of Uniko goodies 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a lovely creative weekend.

Crafty Hugs Bev x

Edited to add the lucky comment WINNER for the Uniko Christmas Bundle..

Gail Scott

These are marvelous tag creations – first I want to thank you for sponsoring the 25 Days of Christmas Tag Hop – I just love those holly leaves on tag one and who can resist a Santa – love him on that double tag creation – which is becoming one of my favorite ways to create a tag – use 2 tags! TFS have a blessed day!

Congratulations Gail!

Stunning Snowflakes

Hello & Happy Thursday!

I am finally back with a card to share! It feels like it has been forever since I had a good creative session. I am just squeezing something in here and there and most times it takes me more than a day to make one card!

I also just feel as though I am getting on top of things and then something happens and causes me to be constantly chasing my tail or just seriously lack mojo to sit and create 🙁

Last week I was feeling miserable as I pulled a muscle in my neck exercising. Apart from feeling sorry for myself, I found it extremely painful to sit at my desk for any longer than a few minutes. So that hindered my creativity.

This week I have the unexpected company of The Beans for two weeks, all thanks to Covid and someone in their class bubble testing positive. So, from Tuesday this week it was back to mummy home school. Luckily it is half term next week, but the boys still have to self isolate until the end of Monday 2nd Nov – it’s been a long few days already!

BUT, last night I had some energy and was inspired to make a card – yay! I’ve been itching to ink up the Stunning Snowflakes clear stamps since they came back in stock.

Even though my creativity has lacked a little, it hasn’t stopped me purchasing new goodies – haha! Including the NEW Concord & 9th ink cube collection!

You must know how I love ink and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on these beauties when they arrived back in stock at Seven Hills Crafts!

Last night I set to testing their ink blending capabilities. The pads are the same foam style as the Catherine Pooler inks and The Stamp Market inks and having tried ink blending with those in the past, I was sure the results would be good.

They didn’t disappoint. I use blending brushes and the inks went on nice and smooth. I used Aqua Sky and Oceanside for the background and the same colours to stamp the snowflakes.

I die cut the Designer Die Stunning Snowflake and added some ink blending to that before adding it to my card with foam adhesive and smothering it with Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter drops! I love the natural curl to the snowflake points that happened as it dried. To finish the card off I added the ‘Let it Snow’ sentiment from Simply Said Blocks Christmas.

Hopefully it won’t be as long until I share more creativity! I’m keen to try out more of the Concord & 9th ink colours, so I am sure I will be back soon.

Until then, thank you for stopping by.
