Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

Hello! Today I am keeping things über CAS as I am coming down with yet another cold 🙁 These playgroups have a lot to answer for with that me thinks, because as soon as I am back in routine and taking the beans to playgroup I am forever fighting a sore throat and sniffles.

Anyway, enough of me feeling sorry for myself, you’re here for some crafty inspiration…

One thing I love about any of the Flower Power clear stamp sets is their ease to create a quick simple card which is suitable for any occasion. I’m still inking up my new Hero Arts Acts Of Kindness stamp set and the little ‘Sending Hugs’ sentiment was perfect for my card.

I simply stamped the outline bloom, fussy cut added some Wink Of Stella, a sparkly enamel dot to the centre, foam mounting it over the stem, which is directly stamped onto my base card. A little sentiment and done, ready to send someone who may or may not need a hug but who deserves one 😉

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

My card today is very similar to yesterdays, though this time I was inspired by the current MUSE challenge seen HERE and below.

This weeks muse is Tracey McKneely, a lovely, talented and inspiring card maker and blog friend. It would have been rude not to play along 😉

I was inspired by Tracey’s bright colours, swirly stem/leaves and the sentiment. Perfect for me to use my Hero Arts Acts Of Kindness stamp set again and this time I paired Flower Power #2 with leaves from Natures Treasures II.

Short & sweet from me today, lots to be completed at Uniko HQ, so many fun things around the corner AND a birthday celebration to prepare for 😉

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

Today I have been longing for Spring. I love all the seasons and what they offer in the form of flora, fauna & the elements, but today the cold got to me and I longed for Spring weather to walk the beans out in! Hence my reason for choosing Flower Power #2 to revisit this week 🙂

My card today is inspired by the current challenge over a Fusion Card Challenge seen HERE and below. I opted just to use the photo inspiration.

I opted for mainly bright shades of the pink & yellow seen in the photo to compliment the Hero Arts sentiment from the Acts Of Kindness clear stamp set. After seeing all the cards around blogland using it I snagged a set just before Christmas, but I’ve hardly had time to use it!

I kept my card fairly simple, with lots of white space and a clustered focal point. I used a chevron stamp from Uniko’s now retired Wonderful Washi Christmas to highlight the edge of the notebook die and clustered my stamped & fussy cut blooms to the lower righthand corner of the card. Finally I added some leaves from Flower Power #6 and some SU! candy dots to the flower centres.

Stamp Of The Week & Uniko Challenge #28

I chose to feature this set because the Uniko Design Team & I are also revisiting the set HERE for the January Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY. A challenge perfect to combine with this weeks SOTW! Like yesterday’s card HERE, I decided to focus on the smaller sentiments contained in Always & Forever….

It’s not like me to use so much patterned paper on my creations, but sometimes the mood strikes me and it works out well. This is some old Bo Bunny DP and I don’t know the name as it was just a small off cut I had. The pennant is a die cut tag with the top trimmed off and a small heart die cut into the upper centre. I embellished the pennant with the Valentine sentiment, added some bakers twine and heart embellishments & tadah, a quick easy Valentine card! Minimal fuss so it could be suitable for the man in your life 😉

Stamp Of The Week – Always & Forever

Anyway, how about a card and some inspiration…

Today I wanted to focus on the tiny XOXO sentiment stamp (Hugs & Kisses). I went for an über CAS card, using up some Papertrey Ink Soft Stone polka dot paper, some SU! Basic Grey bakers twine and a Pretty Pink Posh mini tag die cut. For that little pizzaz I added some glitter to the off the tag stamped hearts!

It’s been a busy bean free day here at Uniko HQ, hence my über CAS card 😉 It’ll be worth it when you see what’s coming in February!

Stamp Of The Week – Always & Forever

Hopefully you will see that this set is not only perfect for Valentine’s Day and love themed cards but for other occasions too. Along with how it coordinates with the popular Beautiful Blooms I, other Uniko products & more!

Anyway, how about a card and some inspiration…

Today I have used the new Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below, it was perfect for what I had in mind for my card. I just love it when that happens 🙂

The ‘Always’ sentiment is from All Occasion Sentiments #5 which will be back in stock on the 25th Jan along with 6 other popular clear stamp sets. I can’t resist using glitter and sparkle on Valentine’s cards and so the smaller hearts got a good sprinkling and the larger ‘Love You’ heart was embossed with crystal EP!

Stamp Of The Week – Always & Forever

Anyway, how about a card and some inspiration…

The current challenge over at “Less is More” HERE is a one layer challenge with a cue word of FLOURISH. Now Uniko does have the retired FONTiment Fancies Swirls & Flourishes set, but as it is retired I decided to look through the ‘ton’ of stamps from other companies I have stashed away!

One of my all time favourite companies and the one that got me into the whole blogging thing is Hero Arts, they are a FABulous company with SO many wonderful products. I decided to ink up one of my favourite WM rubber stamps to pair with the Beautiful Bloom heart from the set.

My colour choices were inspired by the current {Cupcake Inspirations} challenge seen HERE and below, a lovely soft colour palette for a love themed card.

I decided to go for an Anniversary card instead of a Valentine card and added a sentiment from Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum. Hopefully you can see the sparkle in the close up of the glitter I added to the heart & the Wink Of Stella I added to the flourish.

Stamp Of The Week – Always & Forever

Anyway, how about a card…

I made this card at the same time as my blog hop card HERE and it got the same Minc foiling treatment! This time I combined gold and turquoise foil for the hearts. I promise that not all my cards this week will be foiled!

It’s a fun machine and has a ton of possibilities, especially with what I have seen peeked at CHA the Craft & Hobby Association Trade Show in California on various social media. There are some new mediums coming out to use on your projects to then add foil to such as glimmer mists and paint. Oh and some yummy ombre foils!

Anyway, back to my card. As you can see I added a large ‘love’ die cut from SU! which I added Wink Of Stella to and a sentiment from the Always & Forever set. For an added bit of bling the hearts are embellished with rhinestones.

Ok, that is all from me today, I haven’t had a very good start to the week this week 🙁 everything that could go wrong kinda did. Time to chill, relax & hope for a better day tomorrow.

Stamp Of The Week – All Occasion Sentiments #2

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… All Occasion Sentiments #2

This is my last project this week featuring this set, I’ve had a lot of fun giving it so much inky love and paring it with other Uniko clear stamp sets. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as me?!

Anyway, I’m not 100% sure of this card, but I thought I would still share it with you…

My card layout was inspired by the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below and I used the current CAS Colours & Sketches colours again seen HERE and below.

I can’t decide if it is the lighter shade of grey I decided to use which is Soft Stone or if it is the stamped HAPPY background that makes me not *love* my card. However, I was told at University when studying for my degree in Textiles & Surface Pattern that just because you don’t *love* or *like* what you have created, there will be somewhere out there that does.

Stamp Of The Week – All Occasion Sentiments #2

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… All Occasion Sentiments #2

Though I have mainly focused on masculine cards this week, I couldn’t resist making a masculine card to ‘match’ the floral feminine card I made HERE yesterday.

Creating the BG was so much fun and I wanted to test it out using the CAS Colours & Sketches colours seen HERE and below and I also wanted to pair the HAPPY sentiment with images from Nautical Treasures.

As you can see my main focus colours are the Marina Mist & Smokey Slate, using only a hint of Pool Party with the bakers twine on the tag. I decided to create the same sized card as my floral version and used the same tag, even though the HAPPY sentiment didn’t quite fit I think that it gives a fun & interesting feature to the card.
