Stamp Of The Week – Background Builders: Triangulate

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Background Builders: Triangulate

Here’s todays card…

I was inspired by the new CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below. I opted for my usual ‘go to’ colours for a bright and modern card.

The sentiment is from Pure Florals: Cosmos and I added a few SU! It’s My Party enamel dots and to the Smokey Shadow outline triangles I added some Wink Of Stella.

Stamp Of The Week – Background Builders: Triangulate

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Background Builders: Triangulate

For todays card I decided to go for a more feminine card, to show that this set is also good for the girls too!

I was inspired by the new Freshly Made Sketch sketch seen HERE and below for the layout of my card. My colours were inspired by THIS tribal pin I had saved ages ago.

I used one of the longer building stamps to stamp the lower section of the white mat layer, stamping it seven times. I then used 4 SU! markers to randomly colour a selection of the triangles.

The sentiment is a mix of All Occasion Sentiments #2 and Simply Said Birthday. I also stamped a trio of single triangles to accent the sentiment, which is adhered to the card using foam adhesive.

Stamp Of The Week – Background Builders: Triangulate

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Background Builders: Triangulate

I’m FINALLY back this week dusting off another clear stamp set that is an awesome ‘go to’ set for those pesky men in our lives 😉

So, with Father’s Day this Sunday here in the UK, I set about making another card for the occasion. You can never have too many cards to choose from 😉

This time I went for the ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below. Another mix of colours I wouldn’t have chosen myself, but work really well together.

I started by masking off a section at the bottom of my card to stamp the liner triangles. I then worked out where my sentiment panel and navy strip of card would sit, so that I knew where to stamp my selection of single triangles. I wanted to keep that all important white space to keep it a CAS card.

As it is CAS I thought I would enter my card into this weeks CASology challenge seen HERE, which this week is masculine.

AND, I’m entering over HERE too at The Male Room, who’s current challenge is Father’s Day!

Stamp Of The Week – Background Builders: Triangulate

I’m FINALLY back this week dusting off another clear stamp set that is an awesome ‘go to’ set for those pesky men in our lives 😉

Background Builders: Triangulate came about due to the geometric and tribal trends and was also a follow on set from Background Builders: Circles and Background Builders: Squared.

Anyway, I was browsing Pinterest and came across THIS card by Maile Belles. I loved the layout and simplicity of the design and I had to CASE it using these stamps.

This is my CASE…

My colours were inspired by a NEW challenge I came across last week called The Heart Desires. Their current challenge HERE is an inspiration photo, with three options including a colour palette, seen below.

As you can see I opted for the geometrics and also the colours. I combined two sentiments with the triangles, All Occasion Sentiments #2 and Simply Said, creating another Father’s Day card.

June 2016 Reveal, Release & Giveaway!

Hey & HAPPY Saturday!

There is no better way to start the weekend than with a release of new Uniko goodies…right?!

Well, I’m super happy you have stopped by today as today we get to see the two new clear stamp sets in their entirety, Oh and there is a GIVEAWAY too at the end of the post 😉

Ok, so lets have a look see at these new goodies…

The Tropical trend is still HOT at the moment and I just had to jump on the band wagon and put my take on the trend out there!

Firstly, I’d like to introduce you to Bob, Bob the Toucan! Bob was originally drawn way back in 2007/2008 while I was at Uni, the jungle/tropical trend was evident back then too 😉

I’ve added in fun graphical modern styled Hibiscus flowers to compliment the paradise theme, which also work perfectly with the previously released Paradise Hummingbird set.

Lastly we have a lovely mini complimentary set called Paradise Leaves. This is not only a FAB add on set to the two mentioned above but is also FUN on it’s own.

June 2016 Release Sneak Peeks

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the June product release are well under way!

Today I am sharing a couple of sneak peeks at the two clear stamp sets being released TOMORROW! So without further ado lets see them…

This first sneak peek gives it away really! Elements of the set have been designed for some time now, some even since my early years at University. It is also a follow on / addition to the previously released and popular Paradise – Hummingbird clear stamp set 😉

The second mini set being released this month follows the tropical theme and trend, it is a perfect add on set to the two mentioned above for even more possibilities!

Life here at Uniko HQ is a little hectic to say the least with the beans that seem to have hit a crazier & more exhausting stage of toddlerhood!

So my apologies that again it is a mini release. However, it is packed with possibilities & most of all FUN!

Anyway, back to the release, below I have outlined the release schedule & there are a couple of changes this month…

Sneak Peeks Today 10th June, these little teasers give you hints at what is in store!

Today I decided to make a birthday card as it is AAA Cards challenge 2nd Birthday and they have a fun celebration HERE with lots of prizes, including one from Uniko 🙂 So I thought I’d join in on the fun too!

The layout of my card was inspired by the new Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below, such a fun CAS sketch.

Lastly the colours of my card were inspired by the new Fusion Card Challenge seen HERE and below.

On my card I have used Balloon Bash, a popular favourite for masculine cards and I have combined it with the grunge circles from Background Builders: Circles and a sentiment from Simply Said Birthday.

Uniko Sponsors AAA Cards!

Hey!

I’m a little late to the party, various reasons such as designing new stamps, sorting restocks and looking after crazy beans!

Anyway… Uniko is SUPER DUPER happy to be sponsoring AAA Cards. There is a FABulous celebration and challenge happening HERE as AAA Cards is celebrating their 2nd Birthday.

There are lots and LOTS of prizes and fun to join in on, so be sure to check it out and I hope you will join in the celebration – you’d be silly not to 😉

As it is a celebration and I haven’t had much time to be creative card making wise in the studio I squeezed in a little card making this evening…

Tonight I decided to give the recently released Fun Flowers some inky love, using a lovely quartet of bright cheery colours. I recently purchased a pack of the mini Distress Inks in my favourite colour combo – perfect!

I also used the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below for my card. You got to love a sketch to get the old creative mojo a flowing again 😉

The flowers are stamped onto some SU! Whisper White CS starting with the smallest flower. I then fussy cut them out and layered them onto a white card base using DST.

The sentiment is from Strike A Pose! and is adhered to the card, overlapping the flowers using foam adhesive. I added a small amount of Wink Of Stella to various parts of the flowers and a tiny rhinestone to the centre of each for that added sparkle 😉

As you can see I went for a super CAS one layer card. Nautical Treasures is a perfect stamp set for quick masculine cards and I also wanted to give ink blending a little go again. I certainly need some practice at it 😉

As I have created a one layer card and with my nautical theme, it is also perfect for the current Less is More challenge HERE, which is a one layer week, with an AT SEA theme.

This is how I was inspired to use metallics…

I opted for a more masculine style card this time, using a couple of clear stamp sets I haven’t used for a while. The trio of stars, which are heat embossed in gold are from Label Love: Christmas (retiring) and the sentiments are from Simply Said Birthday (back in stock at the weekend).

I thought I would play along with the current Anything Goes challenge HERE over at AAA cards too 🙂
