Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends & customers in the USA and to those who celebrate the holiday. I hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating with friends and family.

It seemed appropriate to pop by today and share a thank you card I was inspired to create using the Season of Beauty clear stamp set.

Even though this set was initially designed for Christmas, it really is versatile for a number of different occasions. Like this Thanksgiving inspired thank you card using the current Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below.

I’ve used both sizes of the leaf sprigs on this card. I started out by stamping the largest one onto the white card stock panel and then stamping it again & fussy cutting it out.

I adhered the largest fussy cut sprig to the card using liquid glue and then the smaller stamped fussy cut sprig using foam adhesive. The sentiment is one of my favourites from Simply Said Blocks II, again stamped, fussy cut and adhered to the card using foam adhesive. I finished the design off with a trio of Nuvo Drops.

That’s all the cards I have to share with you today, but I do have one more thing to share with you…

The BIGGEST Uniko SALE of the year is LIVE over HERE in store. There are lots of bargains to be had and you can save up to 50% on selected clear stamps, designer dies and stencils. The sale is for a LIMITED time only and will end at 9pm GMT Monday 2nd December 2019.

August 2018 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hello!

Sorry that it has taken SO long for me to organise the next release here at Uniko, life got a little crazy at one point. Now we are half way through the Summer holidays here in the UK and the majority of my time is keeping The Beans entertained & having days out to enjoy the sunshine we have been having.

Anyway, it is finally time to share the August 2018 Release Sneak Peeks with you – YAY! So let’s get to the peeks..

First up a peek at an addition to the geometric Background Builders. This set has many fun possibilities and is great for your masculine themed projects and pairs wonderfully with the previously released Bee Happy clear stamp set šŸ˜‰

Those that know me know that I like a new floral and this little set is one of those that has a ‘beautiful’ floral duo and sentiments to match.

I’ve had many requests for more BIG & BOLD sentiments, so here is the next in the series. Can you guess the word from this peek?!

This next week is a fun framed floral stamp. It has so many fun possibilities and it features some Flower Power and other motifs from current clear stamp sets. I’m looking forward to showing you more of this stamp in the coming days šŸ˜‰

Lastly, I decided it was time to ‘officially’ release this little clear stamp set…

This was the Release Day freebie from back in December 2017, called So Much. From Release Day (19th August), it will be available for purchase. I’m looking forward to sharing more with you all using this set.

That’s all the Sneak Peeks for this little release! Be sure to join us tomorrow, as the DT and I begin the product introductions šŸ™‚

Until then, I would love to know what you think of the sneak peeks!

Hugs

January 2017 Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hey & Happy New Year!

It’s the 11th of the month, which means as it is not a release month (sorry, I promise it’ll be worth the wait till next month) the Design Team and I are here today with the usual Design Team Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!

This month we have decided to dust off and revisit the previously released Beautiful Blooms I clear stamp set AND matching Designer Dies.

This clear stamp set was released way back in June 2013 but is still a firm favourite of mine and many šŸ˜‰ The set also has a Pinterest pageĀ HERE, in which you can find lots of inspiration using it.

Here’s what I have created to share with you today…

{Click to enlarge photo}

If you saw my CAS Colours & Sketches card HERE yesterday, you will have read me talking about the Heidi Swapp Minc Reactive Mist and how I wanted to try a finer spray compared to the splatter effect I got on my first card. Well, I gave it a go with a Mini Mister.

2017UjanBH1a

{Click to enlarge photo}

Again, I foiled the mist with the Rose Gold foil. The layout of my card is inspired by the soon to be ending CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch seen HERE and below.

CTS_203

I used the MISTI to stamp the large die cut bloom and leaves. I wish that I had chosen a white card base to mount the foiled panel and bold black bloom. The beauty of hindsight and trying things before I adhere them permanently! Anyway, what is done is done and I need quite a few thank you cards to send post Christmas so I am sure I may make more šŸ˜‰

I was hoping to have another card to share, but my mojo just wasn’t letting me. Every idea I had just wasn’t coming out right šŸ™ I think tiredness had started to kick in, with all the early mornings with the beans and late nights working are starting to take their toll a little. Roll on Thursday afternoon for a few hours bean free šŸ˜‰

Anyway, how about some more inspiration using this set AND don’t forget to comment along the Design Team blogs to be in the chance ofĀ winningĀ BOTH the Beautiful Blooms I clear stamp set and the matching Designer Dies. Or a Gift Certificate to the same value if you already own them. You have until Midnight GMT Friday 20th january to get your comments in.

A Look Back At 2016!

Hey & Happy Boxing Day!

I do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day, I think this year has to of been one of the best for us as a family of four šŸ™‚ Seeing the beans faces as they walked into the front room with all the new toys and train set laid out was a picture. Plus, I just loved every minute watching them play together learning their new toys and then pulling daddy down to the floor to help and play. It truly melted my heart.

Here are a couple of photos from Christmas morning, apologies for my bed head!

Me and Ben the bookworm, checking out the new Peppa Pig books!

Josh admiring the train set

Josh getting stuck in with all the toys!

Anyway, back to the title of this blog post… A Look Back At 2016! This year has been an amazing year for myself personally, but it has been a fantastic year for Uniko. We have had 5 fabulous releases, with 16 new clear stamps sets lining the Uniko HQ shelves.
I don’t know about you, but to me this year has almost passed by in a blur! With that in mind I thought it would be nice now the main seasonal festivities are over and as 2016 draws to a close, to take a look back at Uniko’s 2016.
Today, I am looking back at the 2016 February Release. This was Uniko’s 4th Birthday celebration and I launched 4 clear stamp sets,Ā Beautiful Blooms III,Ā I Love Tea,Ā Some BunnyĀ andĀ Simply Said. So, I dusted the sets off and got to work with the help of my Christmas present from Santa, the MISTI and made a few new cards to share with you…

First up is a card using Beautiful Blooms III, the perfect set to get my MISTI into action! This set features a lovely modern 4 step layering bloom. I decided to only use 3 of the layers, but with the help of the MISTI it was a breeze and such a quicker process.

I’ve not had the time to sit and ‘play’ with my stamps or join in with challenges, so I was inspired to join in on the currentĀ CAS(E) this Sketch!Ā sketch for the layout of my card seenĀ HERE.

I also got my new and neglected Altenew inks out for this card. The sentiment is fromĀ Originally Organic, a clear stamp set I will be looking at later in the week, but the sentiments work perfectly with florals, so I couldn’t resit using it and showing you how Uniko clear stamp sets can work together for even more possibilities.

Next I was inspired byĀ THISĀ photo on Pinterest to useĀ I LOVE TeaĀ clear stamp set and replicate some blue and white fine bone china.

The teacups are stamped in Encore Gold ink and again I used my MISTI for this simple stamped image. I don’t know if this happens to you, but when I stamp using metallic inks onto smooth card the image can slide slightly. So using the MISTI prevented this from happening šŸ™‚

The teacups were decorated using the smallĀ Beautiful Blooms IIIĀ image from theĀ I LOVE TeaĀ clear stamp set and the larger bloom fromĀ Beautiful Blooms III. As you can see I love to coordinate clear stamp sets when I am designing them! The sentiment is fromĀ Simply SaidĀ and as I need a few thank you cards post Christmas that was the reasoning behind my choice.

Lastly, but no means least I inked upĀ Some BunnyĀ clear stamp set. Though this set is oriented towards Spring and Easter, it is also a perfect set for New Baby cards, Children’s Birthdays and more.

I used the currentĀ Freshly Made SketchesĀ sketch seenĀ HEREĀ for the layout of my card and I opted to make a New Baby Congratulations card. No harm in having one of these on hand for 2017, I know a few people expecting next year.

The bunny is such a fun and cute image, perfect for those who like to colour. But it also suits some paper piecing, for when you are short on time! The congratulations sentiment is another fromĀ Simply Said.

So, that’s a quick look back at the February 2016 Release, I hope I have given you a little inspiration to dust off these sets if you have them šŸ˜‰ There is amount of 3 of the sets in stock on the website and I have planned some restocks to arrive in January.

I hope you will join me again tomorrow, when I will be taking a look back at the 2016 April Release. Until then, thank you for stopping by.

Hugs

Uniko Sponsors TIME OUT Challenges & Stamp Of The Week!

Hey!

I’m back today with a special Stamp Of The Week post, as this fortnight Uniko are sponsoring the new TIME OUT ChallengeĀ HERE, so I decided to combine two.

As usual with Uniko being a sponsor of the challenge, there are PRIZES up for grabs! To be in the chance of winning a in stock stamp set of choice from the Uniko store simply join in on the challenge HERE.

This fortnight the challenge is…

CHRISTMAS

with the optional twist of using Pink & or Purple

The Uniko DT have created some FABulous Christmas inspiration, so be sure to check them out HERE on the Uniko Blog and pop by their blogs by following the links and leave some love for them.

I’ll be giving away this weeks Stamp Of The Week – Label Love: Thank you to one lucky random comment from those left on any of the Uniko DT Blogs taking part in the TIME OUT Challenge on their Uniko Sponsors TIME OUT Challenges post. You have until the end of the TIME OUT Challenge ( ) to leave a comment to be in the chance of winning.

Ok, so onto my card…

SOTW15

As you can see I went for the optional twist! I decided to pair my label from Label Love: Thank you with Stunning Snowflakes which are heat embossed in white onto watercolour card. I then did a bit of splishy splashy watercoloring with my Zig Clean Colour pen.

SOTW15a

I then created a semi see through tag for the card as I wanted the embossed snowflakes and pink watercolours to show through. I die cut the Clearly Besotted Rounded Tag from vellum, then added a PTI Limitless Layer die cut which I stamped one of the labels from Label Love: Thank you onto in VersaMagic. The sentiment is from Label Love: Christmas and the tag is adhered to the card using foam adhesive under the label die cut. I added a ribbon & bakers twine treatment to the tag and finished the whole card off with a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Ok, that is all from me today, don’t forget to check the challenge out HERE, inspiration HERE and follow the links to the DT cards to leave the Uniko DT some love to be in the chance of winning Label Love: Thank you!

I’ll be back tomorrow with more to share, until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Stamp Of The Week – Label Love: Thank you

Hey!

I’m back today with a little card & tag ensemble using this weeks Stamp Of The Week – Label Love: Thank you. I’ve gone Christmassy too, combining it with sentiments & stars from Label Love: Christmas & a little dot trio from Balloon Bash…

SOTW13

I was inspired by a card I spotted on Pinterest HERE and seen below by the awesomely talented & sweet Dawn McVey and thought I would do a CASE using the labels.

dm

Since making my little ensemble I have added the Heidi Swapp Mini Minc Machine to my Christmas list, as I want to foil everything! LOL! I had drew the cross hatch style frame with a pencil then went over the lines with a gold Spica pen. I think it would have been much nicer foiled or now thinking about it I could have used my VersaMark pen & embossing powder.

SOTW13a

Anyway, after making the card I decided to make a matching tag using Papertrey Ink’s Tag Sale #4 dieĀ along with my Sizzix framelits 2 1/2″ circle die.

SOTW13c

Here is a photo of the ensemble…

SOTW13b

That’s all I have to share with you all today, I hope I have inspired you a little. I will be back again tomorrow with more to share & until then, thank you for stopping by today.

Stamp Of The Week – Label Love: Thank you

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week. Basically each week I will be choosing a stamp set to dust off & give some inky love to. Though I am open to requests of stamp sets to revisit, so if you have a request either leave a comment or drop me an email. Along with giving the set some love, the featured set is also discounted in store for that week.

This week I am dusting off Label Love: Thank you

LabelLoveThankYouPP

This set has a multitude of possibilities and I hope to show you what it is capable of this week. With Christmas the top priority for many crafters and card makers right now, I will be paring it with another of the Label Love series – Label Love: Christmas along with other Uniko stamp sets. Don’t forget that the set is 15% off this week HERE.

Anyway, today I have used the set with Background Builders: Squared and gone for a geometric rainbow style card…

SOTW12

I said in yesterday’s post that I would be showing more examples of easy geometric style cards suitable to enter into our current challenge HERE.

As you can see I have gone for circles. I have stamped the label in black ink onto white card & punched it out using my 1 3/4″ circle punch. I have then double die cut a larger circle to create a circle frame so that you can see the rainbow stripes between. For this I used my Sizzix Framelits 2″ and 2 1/2″ circle dies.

SOTW12a

To go along with the rainbow theme I coloured the outline THANKS sentiment in the colours I used for the stripes and added a few candy dots & rhinestones in some of the colours used too.

Ok, that is all from me today using this weeks Stamp Of The Week, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. I have another quick CAS geometric card HERE to share with you, so be sure to check it out. Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today.

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #1

Hey!

Ahhh, Thursday how I love thee! Today I get a few hours to myself this afternoon as the beans are off to Grandma & Grandads for their tea šŸ™‚ I have a mountain of things I’d like to spend my time doing but I know for a fact that the 4 hours will go crazy quick.

Anyway, last night I had a little creative time in the studio once the beans were tucked up in bed to create a little trio of cards using this weeks Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #1.

FlowerPower1PP

The purpose of my little trio of cards was to show you just a small example of the mix & match possibilities the Flower Power series has.

SOTW10

For my cards I combined Flower Power #1, #5 and #6. My card design was inspired by the new Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below. Don’t you just love it when a challenge is perfect for what you had in mind? I do šŸ™‚ Oh and I was super excited to be a winner for last weeks challenge HERE with my card using last weeks Stamp Of The Week. Ā Thanks guys šŸ™‚

FMS Final 209-001

The cards are 12cm tall and 10.5cm wide so they are smaller in height than my normal card as I didn’t want an uneven border around the stamped layer. The design itself is really basic and highlights how the stem and flower can stamped. For the flower I added a little more depth and detail, stamping it in two shade of the same colour.

SOTW10d

SOTW10f

SOTW10e

I started out by stamping the darker colour flower and then rotating the stamp one leaf to stamp the lighter shade to create a full flower with a two tone effect. It is similar to the Ghost Stamping technique I have used previously with this set HERE.

A few more photos of the trio of cards to hopefully inspire you a little more…

SOTW10c

SOTW10a

SOTW10b

Ok, that’s all from me on this blog today, but I will be sharing something over HERE later today šŸ™‚ Until then & the next time, thanks for stopping by.
