For the feature this time I have teamed up with a couple of the Craft Stamper Designers and we each used Uniko’s Stunning Snowflakes clear stamp set to make a couple of mixed media projects. I’ve already had a peek at one of the Designers projects and it is so fun to see how others think to use the stamps!

Here are a couple of peeks at my projects…

Introducing… Background Blocks Falling Snowflakes

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the October 2017 product release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks and we are now onto day 3 of the product introductions. You can catch up HERE and HERE with day 1 and 2.

Today the Design Team and I are introducing the next stamp in the Background Blocks series, called Falling  Snowflakes. If you’ve been a long time follower, you will know that I love, love LOVE snowflakes 🙂 so this stamp just had to be done!

Plus I am reintroducing the Designer Dies Snowflake Trio – YAY! This set of dies was originally launched back in October 2013 and due to various reasons that I won’t bore you with, I scaled back on restocking dies. Anyway, I am super duper pleased to have this set back in and available to purchase again with the October Release!!

So, how about some inspiration using these products…

This card shows the design in it’s entirety, a lovely cascade of simple snowflakes! Here I have embossed them in white onto Stampin’ Up! Night Of Navy card along with an embossed sentiment from BIG & BOLD Snow. I added a few baby blue tiny rhinestone for a little sparkle too!

IntroBBfallingsnow3a

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I used my MISTI to position both the sentiment and the background block, as I knew I would want to do another card using this layout and this is how…

IntroBBfallingsnow2

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I simply reversed the colours and this time added a medium snowflake from the Designer Die Snowflake Trio, which is smothered in Stampin’ Up! glitter!

Hopefully you can see the sparkle in the photo above, it sure makes my heart happy to see sparkly Uniko snowflakes again!

That’s all from me here, but be sure to hop along all the Design Team blogs and leave a comment along the way, as you never know you might just win a random prize! I know for sure that you won’t be disappointed the Design Team have created a bountiful wealth of inspiration 🙂

First up is this festive card using Background Blocks: Scattered Polka Dots. When I was designing this stamp it reminded me of a snow flurry. So I was inspired to pair it with Stunning Snowflakes, one of my favourite colours and my favourite snowflake trio!
UnikoSept17Release2a
{Click Photo for a Closer Look}
I heat embossed the scattered polka dot background with VersaMark and Cosmic Shimmer Detail White EP. I masked off a section before doing so, to create a space for my sentiment. The snow flakes are stamped in Altenew ink and fussy cut out. I added a tin bit of bling to each snowflake to finish them off.

Next I was inspired by the current challenge over at Seize the Birthday HERE. Their current challenge is a seize the toppings challenge…

Our “Toppings” option this time is…
“Ocean Colors”
(Blue, Green and or Aqua)
Neutrals are always welcome too!

I pulled out Background Builders: Seeing Stars and a trio of Altenew inks to match the ‘Ocean Colours’ theme. I decided to make a masculine card too, so added some neutral grey’s to the combo.

UnikoSept17Release1a
{Click Photo for a Closer Look}
It was almost a one layer card, but I went back and trimmed a small slither off the bottom of the panel to add some neutral grey strips of card. This helped to tie in the grey of the stamped sentiment and small stars.
Lastly, I decided to ink up Reach For The Stars…
UnikoSept17Release3

My Design Team have inspired me so much this week with their colourful rainbow cards using this set, I decided I should join in! Super CAS and simple. An ink blended die cut square and some sparkly embossing on the base layer!

Uniko Challenge #38

Hey!

Welcome to the November Uniko challenge and our last challenge for 2016. We have another fun and easy challenge this month to spark your creativity…

You may or may not be ready for this, but everywhere you look there are BIG signs that Christmas is just around the corner! This month we are giving you a helping hand on getting a fabulous start to your Christmas creativity, whether you choose to make cards, tags or even gifts for the BIG day.

You can use any products/stamps to enter the challenge, but we do LOVE to see you use your Uniko products.
Email entries welcome, just email a photo of your card to bev@uniko.co.uk and I will add it to the Uniko Flickr gallery and link up!

We have another awesome Guest Designer joining us this month, Sue from Sue’s Card Craft. Sue is a regular participant in the Uniko Challenges and was the lucky winner of Challenge #36. Now check out this stunner Sue has created using Pure Florals: Poinsettia…

Isn’t this just amazing? I love white on white and the splash of elegance with the gold is exquisite and simply stunning. Be sure to pop on by to Sue’s blog HERE and leave some love.

As always the Uniko Design Team have some festive inspiration for you too, over HERE on the Uniko blogspot blog. If you look closely you might just see some sneaky peeks of the November Release 😉 Celebrations for the November Release begin next week.

This is what I was inspired to make…

This is my first card of a trio I made for the current CAS Colours & Sketches challenge HERE. I talked about my creative woes HERE. This week is colour week at CC&S and our hostess Patricia has chosen a monochromatic trio of blues.
CC&S color200-001
When I saw the blues I immediately thought of a white Christmas. The falling snow against a bright blue crisp sky.
USC#38a
I started by creating a rectangle window mask to apply a trio of Stampin’ Up! inks using my Clarity Stencil Brushes. I then stamped and heat embossed a trio of snowflakes from Stunning Snowflakes. The sentiment is a sneaky peek from a NEW clear stamp set being released next Sunday 😉
Along with a NEW Uniko clear stamp set release next week AND prizes up for grabs over at CC&S this week. As usual we have prizes up for grabs for the Uniko Challenge.

THE PRIZES

  • The DT will choose a winner who will get a £15 gift voucher and opportunity to Guest Design.
  • The DT choose a Top 3 who will each get 100 Loyalty Rewards Points added to their Uniko customer account.
  • We will do a random draw for all those who use A UNIKO stamp. This winner will get 200 Loyalty Reward Points added to their Uniko customer account.

You’ve got plenty of time to play along with this month’s challenge. The deadline for submission is midnight (GMT) on Friday 16th December (7.00pm EDT).

25 Days Of Christmas Tags

Hey and Happy Tuesday!

Uniko is excited and honoured to be taking part AND sponsoring the FABulous 25 Days of Christmas Tags hosted and organised by the lovely Tracey McNeely from In My Creative Opinion.

All the fun began on Nov 1st HERE and there are lots of prizes and inspiration to be had, so be sure to check it out from the beginning.

Anyway, the Uniko DT myself included have made a Christmas tag or two to inspire and share with you, all the links can be found HERE.
This is what I came up with…

I’ve seen a few shaker tags around blog land and Pinterest and so I thought I would challenge myself to have a go! I was also inspired by the current “Less is More” challenge HERE, which is to use Purple and Gold, though as I have made a tag, rather than a cardI am not entering into the challenge. I used the challenge as inspiration.

Anyway, I started by die cutting 3 of my tags from white card. I then die cut a rounded rectangle from one of the tags to create my window. The snowflakes are my favourite trio from Stunning Snowflakes and I stamped them onto the second die cut tag.

25Tags1a

I used a mixture of gold and purple sequins for my shaker and added a gold heat embossed snowflake with a few enamel dots to embellish the outside of the tag. Some satin ribbon and bakers twine finished the tag off nicely.

The third tag I die cut was to create a back to my tag, scoring and adhering only a small section at the top so my tag would stand up! It also gives a flat surface to write the recipients name and message too.

Before I go I have a couple more tags to share, which are SNEAKY sneak peeks at a couple of clear stamp sets being released in a couple of weeks 😉

25Tags2a

25Tags3a

Now, I am also offering an extra prize to the Sponsor Prize!

Simply comment on all of the Uniko Design Team blog posts (links above) AND Tracey’s post HERE and I will use random.org to select a winner to receive a November 2016 Release Clear Stamp Set!! You have until midnight GMT 26th November 2016 to leave your comment for the chance to win!

I hope we have inspired you to join in on the fun and I look forward to seeing you in the gallery link up!

Thanks for stopping by.

Stamp Of The Week – Stunning Snowflakes

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week, this week I am dusting off… Stunning Snowflakes

StunningSnowflakesPP

This clear stamp set is one of my all time favourites and so I had to ‘feature’ it before Christmas. I simply love snow and snowflakes & wish it snowed here in the UK more often!

Anyway, here is todays card using the set…

SOTW24

Todays card is almost a one layer card, but the die cut gold SNOW & tiny rhinestones adds a postal friendly layer to it. This card was inspired by this non Christmas card HERE and below.

ATC#38

The colours for my card are inspired by the current CAS Colours & Sketches challenge HERE which is a colour challenge, but you get to choose from any of the 2015 colour combos.

CC&S color153-001

SO many wonderful choices, that I actually made 2 cards but the second I will be sharing in next weeks Stamp Of The Week 😉

Anyway, I chose Challenge #144 colours seen HERE and below…

2015.10.01 #144 cols

I never found time to join in on these colours & they are perfect for a snowflake card 😉 Another much needed Christmas card & one that can be fairly quickly mass produced if needed! I’ll leave you with one last view of the card…

SOTW24a

Today we have family visiting, so I might not get much time in the studio to create. Hopefully I will get time to make one last card using this set to share with you tomorrow.

Don’t forget that the Stunning Snowflakes set is discounted this week & will be back to it’s normal price on Monday. We also have FREE UK SHIPPING & all international orders will receive a £3 shipping refund.

Until the next time, thank you for stopping by today.

SOTW23

I’ve combined 2 challenges for this card, first up the layout and overall design is based on this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below.

CTS_151

I started out with a different version of this card but made a few boo boos on it so abandoned it, I may try it again & share if it works! Then I remembered I have the SU! polka dot stencil and decided to do some ink daubing through it, something I’ve not done much of at all. So much so that I couldn’t even find a dauber! I used a dry baby wipe instead to brush the ink onto the black CS through the stencil which has resulted in a softer edge to my gold polka dots.

Secondly the colour scheme of my card is inspired by the new Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below.

swatch+371

Usually I would use less black and more white and gold but decided to give the black more focus. Instead of adding sentiment I decided to leave the card sentiment free & add a few rhinestones for added shine and sparkle. The stamped & fussy cut snowflake is adhered to the card using foam adhesive and lightly brushed with a clear Wink Of Stella pen.

SOTW23a

That’s all from me this evening, it’s been another long day with the beans today. They were tired following their afternoon at Grandma’s & Grandad’s yesterday and so were quite irritable at times and quite demanding for attention. Hence this mummy is quite tired now!

I have some December Daily to catch up on so I might relax in the studio and have a play! I will be back tomorrow with more to share using this set & until then, thank you for stopping by.

Stamp Of The Week – Stunning Snowflakes

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week. Seriously, how did we get to Thursday & Thursday evening here in the UK?? These days and weeks are just flying past me at the speed of light! Anyway, back to this weeks Stamp Of The Week 😉

This week I am dusting off… Stunning Snowflakes

StunningSnowflakesPP

This clear stamp set is one of my all time favourites and so I had to ‘feature’ it before Christmas. I simply love snow and snowflakes & wish it snowed here in the UK more often!

Here’s my card using the set…

SOTW22

I was inspired by the current Muse challenge card seen HERE and below. Isn’t it a FUN card? I instantly thought of the tiny snowflakes from the set and had to ink them up.

2015112801

For the stamped coloured circles I used a circle stamp from the first Uniko clear stamp set, Today, Tomorrow & Always Extra Time. I partially inked the trio of dots stamping them in Memento Luxe Rose Bud, VersaMagic Turquoise Gem & Aquatic Splash. I stamped the sentiment and added a few rhinestones for sparkle. The panel is then mounted to the card base using foam adhesive.

SOTW22a

Just a little info if you’re not on Facebook or signed up for the Uniko newsletter, I have some FESTIVE SHIPPING OFFERS. The UK FREE SHIPPING has been extended AND I am also offering £3 off ALL INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING*, until Sunday 20th December 10pm GMT.

*No minimum spend & no code required. The £3 will be refunded prior to shipping, converted to the currency you paid in*

Ok that’s all from me today, short and sweet from me this evening. I have had an unexpected but VERY welcomed ‘bean free’ few hours AND a VERY VERY long list of things to do! I will be back again tomorrow with more to share & until then, THANK YOU for stopping by today.

Stamp Of The Week – Stunning Snowflakes

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week. I’m a little later than planned today, there just wasn’t enough ‘bean nap time’ to fit all my jobs into!

SOTW21

Another super CAS card. I am rather pleased with it and although the snowflakes were the fussiest part to cut out, plus I’ve used foam adhesive I might actually select this design as one to mass produce for Christmas! Yep, out of all the designs I have been sharing over the past few weeks (which I will use) I haven’t decided upon or made a batch to send out *gasp*!

SOTW21a

It looks like snow & snowflakes are popular around blog land this week as there are a couple of challenges with the theme. First up the colours I used on my card were inspired by The Card Concept challenge seen HERE and below.

45

Secondly, the current TIME OUT Challenge HERE is inspired by the words…

Snowflakes are Winter’s Butterflies

As we have officially started the Countdown to Christmas I have FREE UK SHIPPING on all orders in the United Kingdom  until 10pm GMT 3rd December. Not to worry if you are outside of the UK, I haven’t forgotten you! Stay tuned this week or sign up to receive our newsletter for a special offer coming your way 😉

Ok, that’s all from me today, I am ‘trying’ to do December Daily this year and I am already behind. I didn’t really get into the ‘planning’ mode for it so it’ll probably be a work in progress for the first week. I have taken LOTS of photos and I plan on getting the journalling for yesterday & today done before I forget what happened! I am using a Project Life album and pages that I have had for AGES, but the whole PL/scrapbooking/journalling is very different for me. Though I am a little daunted, the fact that PL works in small areas at a time I ‘should’ be OK! Haha!

Anyway, I will be back tomorrow for more to share, until then THANK YOU for stopping by.

Stamp Of The Week – Stunning Snowflakes

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week. I took a little break last week due to Black Friday & due to illness. BUT I am back this week with more projects to share 🙂

Basically each week I will be choosing a stamp set to dust off & give some inky love to. Though I am open to requests of stamp sets to revisit, so if you have a request either leave a comment or drop me an email. Along with giving the set some love, the featured set is also discounted in store for that week.

This week I am dusting off… Stunning Snowflakes

StunningSnowflakesPP

This clear stamp set is one of my all time favourites and so I had to ‘feature’ it before Christmas. I simply love snow and snowflakes & wish it snowed here in the UK more often!

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, how about a card…

SOTW20

I had to try the CAS Colours & Sketches sketch again seen HERE and below, it’s been a challenging one, but I have enjoyed the creative challenge!

sketch 152

I had assorts of ideas floating around my head and I tried a variety of techniques but I wasn’t happy with any of the results. I ended up simply creating a semi circular mask and stamping the snowflakes inside the mask, then adding a gold ‘SNOW’ die cut using SU! Little Letters Dies. I added a few tiny rhinestones to finish the design off and add a little more sparkle.

SOTW20a

As I can’t resist a challenge, I decided to combine a colour challenge too 😉 These colours are from the current {Cupcake Inspirations} challenge seen HERE and below. I love turquoise/aquamarine and so this combined with snowflakes made me extremely happy! Haha!

CIC338

Don’t forget that the Stunning Snowflake clear stamp set is discounted this week HERE, it also remains at the recent Black Friday Sale price!

As we have officially started the Countdown to Christmas I have FREE UK SHIPPING on all orders in the United Kingdom  from NOW until 10pm GMT 3rd December. Not to worry if you are outside of the UK, I haven’t forgotten you! Stay tuned this week or sign up to receive our newsletter for a special offer coming your way 😉

Ok, that’s all from me today, these beans need some mummy attention! I will be back tomorrow for more to share, until then THANK YOU for stopping by.
