Stamp Of The Week – Rustic Christmas

Hey!

Welcome back, this week I have chosen Rustic Christmas as my SOTW…

RusticChristmasPP

I’m certainly getting into the Christmas spirit and I am really looking forward to the BIG day this year. The beans are going to love it and understand a little bit more and I am sure they will LOVE the presents Santa brings them 😉

Anyway, here is my card for today…

2016SOTW91

A classic Christmas Tree card! I’m loving bold stripes at the moment and the papers in the Stampin’ Up! Pop Of Pink DSP collection is a fave of mine at the moment. I am also ‘making’ myself use them instead of just admiring them on the shelf!

I added some Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy Satin Ribbon, a bow of SU! Bakers Twine and a few ‘very old’ A Muse star gems! A little more to this card than yesterdays card HERE but still fairly mass produceable but more suitable for the hand delivered cards.

That’s all I have to share today, I will be back tomorrow with more using this set. Don’t forget that the set is discounted HERE for this week only.

Until tomorrow, thanks for stopping by 🙂

Stamp Of The Week – Rustic Christmas

Hey!

Welcome back and welcome back Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). I took a little hiatus with this feature as I prepared for the recent Uniko clear stamp set release and the recent Happy Stampers Festival. But I am back today with a new chosen clear stamp set to give some fresh inky love to!

This week I have chosen Rustic Christmas

RusticChristmasPP

I’ve a couple of reasons for my choice this week, firstly this set has not long arrived back in stock and secondly I ‘really’ need to make a conscious effort to start on my Christmas cards so I am not in a huge rush with only a few days to go!

Anyway, onto my card for today…

2016SOTW90

{click photo for a closer view}

This fun little clear stamp set comes with some dinky baubles and often I forget to give these little accent stamps the love they deserve!

When I saw the sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch! HERE and seen below, I thought it would be fun to create a row of colourful, sparkly baubles. I also used the colour inspiration from the Fusion Card Challenge seen HERE and below.

CTS_194

New Banner-018

I ‘tried’ to recreate the wonky stacked effect of the chairs in the photo too. I’m not sure I quite achieved that, but overall I am happy with the result. The sentiment is also from the set and it is in one of my favourite modern fonts.

2016SOTW90a

I decided to keep this card ‘very’ mail friendly and simply adhered it to my card base using double sided tape. I added a little bit of clear Wink Of Stella to the baubles for that Christmas Sparkle and left it as that!

That’s all I have to share today, I will be back tomorrow with more using this set. Don’t forget that the set is discounted HERE for this week only.

Until tomorrow, thanks for stopping by 🙂

Fond Farewell…

Hey!

It feels like forever since I last blogged over here! Today was my last class at The Paperlane, I have been doing demos and classes there since I launched my Uniko stamp range 4 1/2 years ago. I have made so many lovely friends through my love of stamps and this hobby and it was sad to call it a day, but time to progress and move forward into other exciting ventures. I am sure I will be seeing some of you soon 😉

Anyway, I thought I would share a couple of the cards we made in the class…

FinalClass1{click the photo for a closer view}

I’ve been seeing this ‘spotlight’ stamping technique a lot recently, so I thought I would give it a whirl with the newly released Marvellous Mehndi clear stamp set and the large mandala stamp from the set. As I don’t have a MISTI yet 🙁 even though I have nicely asked Santa (aka hubby) for an early Christmas present as I ‘really’ do deserve one, I have been EVER so good so far this year!

I digress, so I had to line up the stamp the old fashioned way. I was pleased with the results and once the class had the hang of my instructions is was quite fun 😉

FinalClass1a

{click the photo for a closer view}

The mandala is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and the top focal layer coloured with a selection of Stampin’ Up! markers, my favourite In Colour collection.

To get a little more practice with the technique we also made this card…

FinalClass3

{click the photo for a closer view}

It would have been rude not to give the ‘spotlighting’ treatment to the new Originally Organic clear stamp set too! So I chose the swirly foliage stamp. Again it is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and coloured with Stampin’ Up! markers.

FinalClass3a

{click the photo for a closer view}

That’s all I have to share for today, but I will be back again tomorrow with more to share AND Stamp Of The Week returns on Monday – Yay!

Thank you to all who came to the class today and to all of you who have taken the time to stop by the blog. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Hugs

Sept/Oct Reveal, Release & GIVEAWAY!

Hey!

Happy Weekend, Happy World Card Making Day AND HAPPY Release Day here at Uniko HQ! Now, I am busy at Happy Stampers Festival too today, I look forward to seeing some of you too. But for those of you too far away how about some inspiration using these five new clear stamp sets!

If you haven’t seen the sets in full you can check them out HERE, along with finding all the link to the DT blogs if you find a broken/missing link along the way 😉

Lets get to the eye candy…

ReleaseDay1

For my first card I have combined Christmas Sparkle with the previously released Pure Florals: Poinsettia, along with the new Winter Foliage pine sprigs and a sentiment from Simply Said Christmas.

This was another design that I had in my head when designing this set and it worked out pretty good 🙂

ReleaseDay1aNext I decided to give Originally Organic a whirl…

ReleaseDay2

This time I decided to add more of a fresh Spring colour palette to the design. I simply used a trio of SU! markers to colour the image.

ReleaseDay2a

This design led to the next design and if I’d of had more time and energy I think they’d have kept flowing! Again, I kept to the same colour palette but used the floral images…

ReleaseDay3

With the images being of reasonable size it is easy to fill the space and create a design which flows with the curves and waves of the outline stamps.

ReleaseDay3a

Lastly and by no means least I used Marvellous Mehndi…

ReleaseDay4

Again, simple black outline stamping and selective colouring using SU! markers. The sentiment is from Strike A Pose! with the filmstrip edges trimmed off.

ReleaseDay4a

Ok, that’s all from me today. Be sure to hop along the links below and leave a comment for your chance to win the ENTIRE release. You have until midnight Sunday 9th October BST.

Introducing…Christmas Sparkle & Winter Foliage

YAY!

Thanks for all the lovely comments yesterday, didn’t the Design Team do an awesome job showcasing the new Marvellous Mehndi and Simply Said II clear stamps? If you missed it you can catch up HERE.

I’m SO glad that you have decided to come back today 😉 as we have the last two product introductions for Sept/Oct product  release. That means tomorrow is full reveal and release day!

Anyway, lets have a look at Christmas Sparkle and Winter Foliage. Both these clear stamp sets are awesome on their own, but they can be used together beautifully AND they work with other previously released Uniko Christmas/Winter themed clear stamps 😉

*WARNING* My first card is rather bright, so you may require sunglasses!

IntroChristmasSparkle1

The current challenge over at AAA Cards HERE, which is the masking technique inspired my card. I also wanted it to be bright and cheerful to coordinate with the sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #4.

#74

I started by stamping both the outline bauble and inner sparkle bauble in the centre of the white CS layer with SU! Melon Mambo ink. I then masked the bauble to stamp the baubles either side in SU! Tempting Turquoise and Lucky Limeade. Once I had done all the stamping I added clear Wink Of Stella to all the baubles for added shimmer.

IntroChristmasSparkle1a

My next card is another quick and easy mass produceable Christmas card using Winter Foliage…

IntroWinterF2

I’ve used all the stamps contained in the Winter Foliage set to create a cluster bough of foliage. I added in the smaller pine bough from Jingle Bells and a sentiment raised on foam adhesive from the upcoming Simply Said II.

IntroWinterF2aOk, that’s all I have to share with you here, but hop along the Design Team Blog links below for even more inspiration. I know for a fact you won’t be disappointed, the team have created amazing projects showcasing how this set can be used…

Introducing… Marvellous Mehndi and Simply Said II

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the Sept/Oct product  release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks at the 5 clear stamp sets being released and NOW it is time for the Design Team and I to introduce them to you.

Today we are introducing you to two clear stamp sets called Marvellous Mehndi and Simply Said II. Marvellous Mehndi is my modern approach to the Mehndi / Henna style with a hint of paisley too. It features a large focal mandala stamp and a variety of smaller stamps to create your own patterns. Simply Said II is an additional/follow on clear stamp set from Simply Said. It features sentiment stamps in the same font and size, giving you even more occasions, sentiment combinations and possibilities!

How about some eye candy…

IntroMmehndi2

The largest mandala stamp contained in the set has quite a bit of detail and is awesome for those who love to colour and colouring is VERY trendy right now. I have shown a sample HERE on the Uniko blogspot blog of how it can be coloured simply.

However, it also looks fabulous stamped in coloured inks with no colouring for those who are not big on that! As you can see I reached for my favourite trio of ink colours and paired them with SU! Smokey Slate 😉 Just partially stamping the image on two raised panels of white CS and the lower with a sentiment from Simply Said II adhered flat to the card.

Ok, that’s all I have to share with you here, but hop along the Design Team Blog links below for even more inspiration. I know for a fact you won’t be disappointed, the team have created amazing projects showcasing how this set can be used…

Introducing… Originally Organic

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the Sept/Oct product  release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks at the 5 clear stamp sets being released and NOW it is time for the Design Team and I to introduce them to you. If you missed the peeks, you can catch up on them HERE, HERE and HERE.

Today the Design Team and I are introducing you to a clear stamp set called Originally Organic. This is a modern floral/foliage set with a collection of positive friendship and growth sentiments. I designed this clear stamp set at the same time as the FREEBIE digital stamp collection featured and available for download from Simply Cards & Papercrafts HERE.

I have shared a couple of projects over HERE and the release schedule is outlined over there too. I had SO much fun using this new set, that I made quite a few cards, so here are a couple more…

IntroOriginallyOrganic2

This card showcases the smaller stamps contained in the set and another of the sentiments. I wanted the card to be colourful, so reached for my favourite colour combo!

IntroOriginallyOrganic2a

I’ve used this layout before and it is a good one for showcasing a full stamped panel. As you can (hopefully) see I added some clear Wink Of Stella and a few SU! It’s My Party enamel dots.

Ok, that’s all I have to share with you here, but hop along the Design Team Blog links below for even more inspiration. I know for a fact you won’t be disappointed, the team have created amazing projects showcasing how this set can be used…

Hey!

The Design Team and I are back to remind you that there is still plenty of time to join in on the September Uniko challenge HERE. We have another fun challenge this month to spark your creativity…

Email entries welcome, just email a photo of your card to bev@uniko.co.uk and I will add it to the Uniko Flickr gallery and link up!
This is what I came up with…

So, the Uniko Sept/Oct Release is just round the corner and I have been busy in between packaging stamps for lovely orders & the Happy Stampers Festival, making cards to showcase the new release. Well, as you might see I couldn’t resist using one of the new stamps to accentuate the large ‘thanks’ sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #6.

USC#36a

I stamped both the sentiment and leaves in Memento Rich Cocoa ink, so that I could use a selection of Autumn colours to colour them in and have the outlines to blend in.  I tried a ombre effect to the ‘thanks’ from light to dark brown and the leaves are just randomly coloured. To finish the card off I added a coating of Wink Of Stella and a couple of SU! Candy Dots.

Now, if you need more incentive to play along with the challenge here are the details of the prizes.

THE PRIZES
  • The DT will choose a winner who will get a £20 gift voucher and opportunity to Guest Design.
  • We will do a random draw for all those who twist with us. This winner will get to choose a stamp set of choice from the store.

Have You Joined In Yet?

Hey!

We are back today to remind you about the August Uniko challenge. We have another fun challenge this month to spark your creativity…

Inspired By A Song Title! This sounds like a hard challenge, but when you google a word to see if it appears in a song title, you WILL be surprised as to how many there are!!

You can use any products/stamps to enter the challenge, but we do LOVE to see you use your Uniko products.

Email entries welcome, just email a photo of your card to bev@uniko.co.uk and I will add it to the Uniko Flickr gallery and link up!

This month we have another super Guest Designer joining us this month, Glenda from My Paper Cat

Glenda was the lucky winner from Challenge #33 and has created another beauty to inspire you…

Isn’t it fabulous, all those delicate stitches.

CLICK HERE to see more from Glenda and leave some love 🙂

This time I went for something more feminine and floral…

USC#35c

I was inspired firstly by the song ‘Bed Of Roses’ by Bon Jovi and secondly when I saw the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below, it was perfect for my scattered bed of roses!

CTS_187

I used the rose stamp and leaves from Flower Power #6 and a sentiment from Simply Said. I wanted the roses to have more of a scattered appearance rather than line them up in rows, saved all the measuring and spacing too 😉

USC#35d

Ok, that’s all from me today, but be sure to head on over HERE to see what the rest of the Design Team came up with. All the info on PRIZES and the link up can be found over there too!

Hope to see you in the gallery!

Here’s what I came up with…

USC#35

I was inspired by the song ‘Explosion’ by Ellie Goulding. I wanted to do something different and a little unusual as well as dust off a clear stamp set I hadn’t used for a while! So I googled explosion as a song title and that’s what came up!

I decided to use the current Freshly Made Sketches layout again, seen HERE and below. It worked so well for the placement of the explosion image.

FMS Final 250-001

I knew I wanted my card to be colourful too with a sparkly explosion, so I reached for my mini distress inks and Clarity Brushes to created an ink blended panel, following the design of the sketch above.

USC#35a

Kinda perfect for the current challenge over at AAA Cards HERE, which is all about blending!

#71

Be sure to head on over HERE for the link up and lots more inspiration from the Design Team!
