Uniko Sponsors CASology!

Hey!

Wow… I made it back, second evening in a row! Plus, as you can see by the title of the post I have some happy news to share, in that Uniko is super proud to be sponsoring the challenge over at CASology HERE this week.

Week 246 - Season

The theme for this weeks challenge is Season and there lots of different ways you can interpret this cue word.

This is how I was inspired…

Another of the recent restocks in the Uniko store is Decorative Doilies The Hands Of Time, an oldie set but definitely a goodie! So I decided to literally dust my set off and give it some fresh inky love.

I had Spring in mind for my chosen season and so I chose some soft pastel colours to stamp the four smallest doilies from the set. I used Altenew Buttercream, Mountain Mist and Rose Quartz along with Lawn Fawn Manatee. I added a couple of stamped doilies in VersaFine Onyx Black to balance the sentiment from Originally Organic. The stamped trio of dots is from Balloon Bash and I added a trio of Stampin’ Up! enamel dots to add a little subtle dimension and interest.

I hope I have inspired you to join in on the fun? If you need a little more incentive the CASology Design Team have a wonderful array of seasonal inspiration over HERE too. You will also find the link up and prize info over there too 😉

I hope to see you in the gallery!

This month we have TWO awesome Guest Designers joining us, Marianne and Milka, both where lucky winners of Uniko Challenge #38.
They’ve created wonderful inspiration for you…

First is this stunning rainbow of butterflies by Marianne, who has used the Uniko English Country Garden Butterflies clear stamp set. Isn’t it beautiful and I know that Marianne has used the new Distress Oxide inks, so be sure to stop on by for all the details on Marianne’s card HERE and leave some love :)

Next, Milka has used the recent Uniko Digital Stamp Collection I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts to make another beautiful Spring card…

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I just LOVE the simplicity of Milka’s card and the fussy cutting and colouring is stunning. Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Milka’s card HERE and leave some love :)

If you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

This is what I came up with to ‘hopefully’ inspire you…

I used a couple of challenges to kick start my creativity, I’ve been busy in the studio finalising some new stamps and dies coming soon and in the next couple of months. Hence the lack of posts and my mojo has taken a hit too 😉

Anyway, I decided to turn to one of my favourite sketch challenges Freshly Made Sketches seen HERE and below. I decided to switch up the circle to a square as it suited the size of the stamps I was using.

I chose a ‘rainbow’ colour scheme as Uniko is the proud sponsor of the current TIME OUT Challenges challenge this fortnight HERE. This fortnight it is a ‘Inspired by Words’ challenge…

‘When it rains look for rainbows, when its dark look for stars’

Hopefully you can tell that I focused on the rainbow part of the words! I used Originally Organic Additions for the flowers and the stem, the sentiment is from Some Bunny.

That’s all I had time to create last night, but the Uniko Design team also have some Spring inspiration to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too 😉

I was inspired by the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below and thought it was perfect to dust of Beautiful Blooms II and give it some inky love. I was also inspired by the current Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below, plus they were perfect for my blooms!
FMS Final 280-001

As you can see I kept my card true to the sketch and minimal fuss. I stamped the Orange bloom on my mat layer and the yellow outline bloom on a separate piece of white card and fussy cut it out to adhere it with dimension.

The sentiment is from Originally Organic and I think it’s a wonderful Spring like sentiment where all the fresh new shoots and buds are starting to appear.

Uniko Challenge #40 – Spring with an Optional Twist of Easter

Hey!

Welcome to the March/April 2017 Uniko challenge. We have another fun and easy challenge HERE this month to spark your creativity and I have changed the frequency and length of the challenges this year to hopefully give you a little more time to join in on the fun.

So this month we have the following challenge…

Spring is just around the corner for those in the Northern hemisphere and who doesn’t love pretty flowers and bunnies?!

Challenge Guidelines:

This month we have TWO awesome Guest Designers joining us, Marianne and Milka, both where lucky winners of Uniko Challenge #38.

They’ve created wonderful inspiration for you…

First is this beautiful Spring Wreath by Marianne, who has used the Uniko Digital Stamp Collection  I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts last Autumn. Isn’t beautifully coloured, soft and Springy?! If you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Marianne’s card HERE and leave some love :)

Next, Milka has used the recent Uniko Digital Stamp Collection I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts to make this beautiful Spring card…

Another beautifully coloured card and if you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Milka’s card HERE and leave some love :)

I’ve not been feeling so well over the past few days, so I opted for a fairly quick CAS card 😉 The Originally Organic Additions clear stamp set has been really popular this week on the website and I was also inspired by Keren’s use of the set HERE too. So I grabbed my set and made this fairly quick CAS card…

USC#40

I opted for some bright and fresh colours for my card also giving me chance to use my newly acquired Lawn Fawn inks which I have limited colours of 😉 The wreath was stamped in Jalapeño and the tiny fussy cut buds in Sunflower, Plastic Flamingo and Merman. The ‘Easter Blessings’ sentiment is from Some Bunny clear stamp set and stamped in Manatee ink.

USC#40a

The layout of my card is inspired by this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch seen HERE and below, hence my offset stamping of the heart wreath.

That’s all from me, but the Uniko Design team also have some Spring inspiration to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too 😉

March 2017 Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!

Hey & Happy Weekend!

It’s the 11th of the month, which means as it is not a release month (sorry, I promise it’ll be worth the wait till next month) the Design Team and I are here today with the usual Design Team Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!

This month we have decided to dust off and revisit the previously released Some Bunny clear stamp set…

Here is what I created using the set…

UnikoMarch17Revisit

{Click Photo for a closer look}

I needed some creative inspiration, as my lack of energy and mojo is a little lacking, so I turned to the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge seen HERE and below for the layout of my card.

FMS Final 278-001

I decided to dust off my Prismacolour Pencils to colour in the bunny, which I stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa, so the lines blended in with the colouring. I decided not to add a sentiment, so that I could use the card for a number of different occasions, such as Mother’s Day, Easter, A Just Because or New Baby card. As I have added pink accents, it does lend itself more to the feminine side.

UnikoMarch17Revisit1

That’s all from me, but how about some fresh new and AWESOME inspiration using this set from the Design Team?! Don’t forget to comment along the Design Team blogs to be in the chance of winning the Some Bunny clear stamp set and an £10 eGift Certificate.  Or a £15 Gift Certificate if you already own the clear stamps. You have until Midnight GMT Friday 25th March to get your comments in.

Introducing… Originally Organic Additions

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the February & 5th Birthday product release are well underway. Yesterday the Design Team and I introduced Block Party Birthday. If you missed it you can catch up HERE.

Today, we are back with the introduction of Originally Organic Additions – YAY! Originally Organic was introduced back in Sept/Oct last year HERE and I also had a feature and digital stamp collection in Simply Cards & Papercrafts HERE.

As both the clear stamps and digital stamps were so popular I decided to turn a few of the digital stamps into physical ones. Plus both sets can be mixed to create more possibilities, which I am sure you will see over the coming days/weeks 😉

Today I have focused on two of the smaller stamps in the set to create my own simple stamped background.

IntroOOadditions1

{CLICK Photo for a Larger View}

I’ve used another of the sentiments from the new set, again they are friendship and encouragement themed and have the same font mix that appears to be very popular.

I had a little trip out with the beans and a couple of crafty friends yesterday afternoon to the local Crafters Companion store. They have a lovely cafe too! So after a quick look round we sat, ate and decided what out purchases would be 😉

Anyway, I chose to try some lovely Lawn Fawn inks. The small outline flower and flower stem, which are two separate stamps are stamped in Manatee ink, a lovely soft grey. I was really pleased to discover that these inks withhold alcohol marker bleeding, so I coloured parts of the flower in with 3 different markers.

Now, be sure to hop along all the Design Team blogs and leave a comment along the way, as you never know you might just win a random prize! I know for sure that you won’t be disappointed the Design Team have created a bountiful wealth of inspiration :)

Uniko Challenge #30

Hey!

Today over HERE, we have a new Uniko Challenge starting. This month we have a fun colour challenge to inspire your creativity…

ChallengeGraphic3

With Spring almost here and Easter just around the corner, it seemed fitting for this months challenge :)

With the recent Uniko release featuring a cute bunny and florals it was a perfect opportunity for me to ink them up! This time I decided to stamp them onto a different kind of surface…

UnikoChallenge#30

I’ve had these SU! mini canvas bags for AGES and whilst STILL cleaning and sorting out following our house move (yes, still sorting a year on) I came across these bags and thought they would be perfect to decorate for the beans Easter gifts. I’ll add some mini chocolate eggs of some kind to them and keep the bags once they’ve eaten the chocolate as a little memento with the box of stuff I have saved in the loft already!

UnikoChallenge#30a

I stamped the bunny from Some Bunny in SU! Early Espresso ink and the sentiment from the same clear stamp set in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. The flowers are from Pure Florals: Cosmos Uniko’s Revisited Clear Stamp Set this month HERE (there is still time to hop along, comment and be in the chance of winning the set) and I did some simple masking and stamped them in a trio of SU! Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun inks.

Ok, that’s all from me just now, but be sure to pop on over HERE to see the inspiration from our Guest Designer Cornelia and the Uniko DT. I hope to see you in the gallery 😉

Stamp Of The Week – Background Builders: Vines

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Background Builders: Vines

BBVinesPP

I had a good creative evening last night and made a few CAS cards, including todays…

2016SOTW37

A nice bright and cheery Spring/Easter card to brighten a dull, cold and VERY rainy day! The tiny florals in the set are great for creating bloom clusters like I have on this card. I added a sentiment from Some Bunny and I love adding a white on white decorative die cut strip to my cards at the moment, I love the subtle interest it creates. So not so see the join of the die cut I added some Bakers Twine and a bow.

2016SOTW37a

The current challenge over at TIME OUT Challenges is Spring or Easter with an optional twist of masking. I didn’t do any masking on my card but can still enter for the other part. Be sure to check the challenge out HERE.

1-5

That’s all from me today using this set, but I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted in store HERE this week too.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today.
