Woohoo!

It’s finally time to share the July 2019 Release Sneak Peeks. This is a LOVELY release with a nod to Valentine’s Day, but all of the stamp sets can be used for a variety of occasions throughout the year.

This month there are four new clear stamp sets and one returning clear stamp set.

Here are the peeks at the new & returning products…

First up, how about a new addition to the Background Blocks, with some scattered hearts.

Next we have an addition to the BIG & BOLD series with BIG & BOLD Love. This one has been designed for a while & awaiting the right time to be released šŸ˜‰

Next I have some more Sentiments Outlined, this time with a ‘You Are’ theme to them. I’m excited for these to be added to the sentiment line up for sure.

Lastly for the new clear stamps, how about a floral and I think my new favourite šŸ˜‰

This stamp set is called So Lovely and you might just recognise those Peonies! These are smaller than Pure Florals Peony and there is something a little different to this set too.

Lastly for this release I am bring back an old favourite…

Those who have been long time followers might remember this set. If you do, why not leave a comment telling me the name of the stamp set in the comments and I will draw a random winner from the correct comments to win a prize!

That is all the sneak peeks for this release, I will be back tomorrow with the first of the product introductions. All of the new stamps will be available on Saturday 18th January at 9am GMT.

Thank you so much for stopping by today & I do hope you will come back tomorrow.

Hey!

How about a little bit of inspiration…

ReleaseDayPFrose1

I decided to ink up Pure Florals: Rose again, this time using the large solid bloom. I’ve stamped the bloom on kraft card using Altenew Coral Berry ink. After stamping the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black ink, I then went in with a red Prismacolor pencil and added some shading to the petals of the rose.

ReleaseDayPFrose1a

I finished the edge of the card off by stamping Large Background Scattered Polka Hearts in VersaMark ink onto black card and embossing with clear embossing powder.

Lastly for today I thought I would share a card using the 2017 December Release FREEBIE, So Much…

ReleaseDaySM1

I’ve used my MISTI tool to stamp the floral bouquet and simple rotated my white mat layer 180 degrees and stamped again to get the mirrored effect. The flowers are coloured with Prismacolor pencils and the sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks.

ReleaseDaySM1a

That’s all from me today, as I simply ran out of time to create šŸ™

I Thank My Lucky Stars…

Hello & Happy Monday!

Today I am delighted to be introducing you to the newest member of the Design Team. I am sure that this person will not be a stranger to the majority of Uniko followers and to those who join in on the Uniko and many of the challenges around blog land!

So without further ado I would like you all to give Carol fromĀ justme:Ā cĀ a warm welcome šŸ™‚

Hello, Iā€™m Carol from *justme: c*.Ā  Iā€™m incredibly honoured and delighted to be joining Bev and her talented designers as a new member of the design team. Indeed, my feet havenā€™t touched the ground since receiving her invitation; still on Cloud 9 at this dream-come true opportunity to showcase, even more, my love for Uniko products.Ā

My card-making journey began when I decided to make and send Happy *Month Old* cards to my niece, who was 2 Ā½ at the time. Sheā€™s now 7, my nephew is 5 – and yes, the monthly card ā€˜traditionā€™ continues. The ā€˜epic messesā€™ of my first attempts sent me searching the internet for ideas and WOW! Did I find them! The discoveries revealed sparked a passion, and here I am, thoroughly immersed in playing with paper, stamps, dies and ink. Of course, the friendships made through this warm, encouraging community are treasured immensely; the inspiration from the many artists Iā€™ve come to know, appreciated deeply.Ā

My style is predominately CAS (although eclectic is more apt) and oh, how I love my stamps and dies. Iā€™ve recently embarked on coloured pencil online classes; hopefully, what I learn in these lessons will translate into breathing colourful, vibrant life into my Uniko stamps.

When Iā€™m not crafting, youā€™re most likely to find me at our provinceā€™s road bike and cyclo-cross races – clipboard and stop watch in hand ā€“ in my role as a racing official.Ā  Even though I donā€™t race (no way!), I love the thrill of the competitions and being part of the cycling community.

Thank you, Bev and the team, for your warm welcome and for embracing my creativity. Iā€™m looking forward to creating and designing alongside you.

If you are unfamiliar with Carol’s style, here are a selection of cards Carol has made to inspire you using a variety of Uniko clear stamps…

This card features Originally Organic and matching dies and I am just digging the watercolour brush background on this card.Ā

How about a fabulous masculine creation to inspire you?! This card uses Explosion! Explosion Additions and Background Blocks: Halftone.

Lastly and by no means least, how about Carol’s cute side…

How fabulous are these? I am sure you’ll be as excited as myself to have Carol part of the team and are looking forward to seeing the inspiration she has to offer. For more details on these creations and to see more of Carol’s work be sure to head on overĀ HERE.

I thought I would make a card for the occasion too and this is what I came up with…

I decided to create a different kind of welcome card for Carol, I love Carol’s sparkle and shine she leaves with her enthusiasm, support and kind words, not just for me but around blog land. I am truly thankful to have Carol joining the Uniko Design Team.

I was inspired by the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch, seen HERE and below for my card. I had so many ideas for this sketch, but settled upon using the recently released Reach For The Stars clear stamp set.

FMS Final 305-001

I kept the design very CAS, as I wanted the sentiment to take full centre stage. I heat embossed the gold ‘stars’ sentiment and trio of stars to the diagonal corners. I added some Stampin’ Up! glitter card to emphasise the sparkle too.

Not only is this card for Carol, but for all of my Design Team Members current and Alumni, in that I thank my lucky stars for all of them. Plus, for all of the people, customers, friends I have made since starting this little business. With out YOU all, my dream wouldn’t be here and where it is today.

Thank you & welcome Carol šŸ™‚

Introducing… Background Blocks Doodle Flower & Horizontal Stripe

YAY!

I’m SO happy that you have stopped by today, as here at Uniko preparations for the May product release are well underway. We have had all the sneak peeks at the 4 clear stamp sets being released and NOW it is time for the Design Team and I to introduce them to you.

Starting over HERE, myself and my AWESOME Design Team are introducing TWO clear stamp sets,Ā Background Blocks Doodle Flower & Horizontal Stripe. These two sets have so many fun possibilities and can be used and paired with all sorts of stamps and paper crafting goodies.
With doing an individual card for each stamp over at the start of the hop, I decided to show how these two background stamps can be combined…

IntroBBdfandhs2

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}
First up a rainbow card, who doesn’t love a colourful rainbow?! Ā Now, I have to say that the MISTI tool comes in very VERY handy for multi coloured stamping AND for perfect placement of the doodle flower stamp over the top!
IntroBBdfandhs2a
{Click Photo for a Closer Look}
The rainbow of stripes is stamped using Lawn Fawn inks and the doodle flower is stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I added a sentiment from Simply Said and some Stampin’ Up! heart shape enamel embellishments to 3 of the larger flowers.
I’ve one more card to share using both the stamps, both in a selective stamping way…
IntroBBdfandhs1
{Click Photo for a Closer Look}
Again I used my MISTI tool to stamp the horizontal stripes and this time I selectively inked just 3 of the stripes in VersaMark ink and heat embossed them with Gold EP.

The stripes are then embellished with Lawn Fawn Merman doodle flowers, Stampin’ Up! Enamel dots and a sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #6.
Ok, that’s all I have to share today using these two new stamps and hopefully I have inspired you a little as to how they can be used! Now I am handing you over to the Design Team and you WILL be inspired with how they have all used the stamps. Be sure to comment along the hop, as you might just be chosen for a random release day prize!

Stamp Of The Week – All Occasion Sentiments #2

Hey & Happy New Year!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).

Basically each week I will be choosing a stamp set to dust off & give some inky love to. Ā I am open to requests of stamp sets to revisit, so if you have a request either leave a comment or drop me an email. Along with giving the set some love, the featured set is also discounted in store for that week.

This week I am dusting off… All Occasion Sentiments #2

AllOccasionSentiments2PP

Now, I have been busy behind the scenes over the Christmas Holiday period, preparing for ALL the exciting things 2016 šŸ˜‰ and getting ahead with things like SOTW. I realised with all the crazy in preparation for Christmas & my life with two 16 month old twin boys (the beans), life isn’t going to calm down anytime soon, so I needed to plan, organise and prepare myself – Lol! So, fingers crossed I theoretically shouldn’t get behind with things!

Anyway, here I am with my first card instalment for the first SOTW of 2016…

2016SOTW1

I chose this set as it is full of possibilities and perfect for creating cards to celebrate the New Year along with birthdays & general hello’s that *hopefully* you will see this week on the blog.

For my card I have paired the set with three other Uniko clear stamp sets, Background Builders: Christmas, Essentially Christmas & Garlands Galore. I love designing the clear stamps so that they can be mixed and matched together to create endless possibilities and give value for money šŸ™‚

2016SOTW1a

I started out by using a Sizzix framelits star die to die cut the aperture out of my white CS panel. I then stamped the trio of liner stars down the edge before adding some glitter using a glue pen to the die cut star edges.Ā The panel was temporarily adhered to the card base so that I could stamp the ‘HAPPY’ and then the New Year was stamped afterwards staring backwards with the ‘R’. Before I adhered the panel to the card base with foam adhesive I decided to add a few random stars stamped in the same VersaMagic Turquoise Gem ink as the ‘HAPPY’.

Hopefully this card will soon arrive at its destination and brought some cheer to one of my friends New Year. One of my resolutions this year is to send ‘more’ if not ALL of the cards I make in 2016. I am really bad at sending cards I make which is terrible for a card maker šŸ™ so I WILL rectify this in 2016.

OK, that’s enough waffle from me today, don’t forget that this set is 20% off this weekĀ HEREĀ in store. Plus we still have a CRAZY January Sale on for a limited time only, so be sure to grab a bargain while you can & retiring clear stamps or dies before they are gone for good.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today šŸ™‚
