Okay, so now I have mentioned all the ‘formal’ stuff! How about a couple more cards using the new release…

Feb19RD1

First up I decided to go for a more feminine card & opted to use Pantone’s colour of the year. I am partial to a bit of Coral and feel I haven’t embraced this years colour as much as I have wanted to !

I have used Background Blocks Pinstripe and heat embossed it in white across my card base. The sentiment in from Birthday Wishes and is also heat embossed. I added some white bakers twine and gloss white Nuvo Drops to finish.

Feb19RD1a

And lastly for today is another BIG & BOLD Happy card…

Feb18RD2

This is the ‘other’ two for the price of one technique cards, where I shared the first HERE on Day 1 of the introductions! On this card I have done inlay die cutting with the ‘happy’ word die. I created a striped panel of coloured card (great way of using up all those scraps) on a thin piece of white card.

Feb19RD2a

I then die cut the ‘happy’ word die into this panel. As I was going through a couple of layers of card I went through my cutting machine a couple of times. I set the striped happy aside and kept the inner parts of the a, p & p for this card. I then die cut another happy from a white card panel the same size of the striped panel (which was used to create the card I shared on Day 1) and inlayed it into this striped panel.

Finally the word Birthday is stamped and heat embossed white and again I added my favourite gloss white Nuvo Drops to finish!

That’s all I have to share today using these products, but I know Ruth our Guest Designer this month along with the Design Team have SO much more to share with you.

Hop on by to see what Ruth has created HERE and this is the order of the hop following Ruth…

Also, don’t forget the enter the HUGE giveaway over HERE to WIN Stamps For A Year! If you need help entering the giveaway as you don’t have a blog or social media to link, send me an email and I will assist you 🙂

Introducing… BIG & BOLD Happy Clear Stamps & Designer Dies

Welcome to Day 1 of our 7th Birthday & February 2019 Release product introductions.

This is the fun part where myself, my guest designer and the design team get to show you LOTS of inspiration! You get to see all the sneak peeks I shared yesterday in action on cards & projects over the next few days leading up to 11th February, Release Day!

Hopefully you have hopped on over from HERE, where I have introduced todays products a little and all the links to the blog hop.

Okay, now to some inspiration…

IntroB&Bhappy1b

I thought I would start off with this rainbow happy card. Just seeing the rainbow of colours sparks joy and happiness to me!

IntroB&Bhappy1a

This card uses just the BIG & BOLD Happy Designer Dies, I wanted to show how they can be used on their own. Though I have used some favourite colours and products too to make the dies shine!

I started out by masking a rectangle off on my base card. I then used Distress Inks & blended them together to create a nice rainbow that would flow from ‘H’ to ‘Y’. I then trimmed a top layer of white card to fit inside the base card with a slight border around the edge and die cut the ‘happy shadow’ to create a window to see the rainbow of colours.

IntroB&Bhappy1c

This die cut window panel is adhered to the card base using foam adhesive. I then die cut the ‘happy’ word & adhered it direct to my card base inside the window. Hopefully you can see the dimensions of the window & word in the photo above.

The card is finished with lots of yummy Nuvo drops to match the rainbow. I decided to keep the front of the card sentiment free and will add a follow on sentiment inside the card for the occasion it is sent out for.

For my next card I used mainly the clear stamp set…

IntroB&Bhappy2

This is almost a one layer card, it is just the raised ‘Oh’ and ‘Day’ which makes it a two layer card. It is also a little less CAS for me & I nearly didn’t show it here today because of that!

Anyway, I did (sorry if you don’t like it) and here is how I made it. I started out by creating a window mask out of printer paper to lay over my base card & ink blend through. This time I used Distress Oxide inks in Festive Berries, Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade & Fossilised Amber.

IntroB&Bhappy2a

Once my ink blending had dried, I used my MISTI stamping tool to stamp the large happy inside the ink blended shadow & heat embossed with Stardust EP. I stamped the confetti spray around the happy, which I inked up in a trio of the colours I used to ink blend with. I then added a trio of circle accents from the clear stamp set in black and the smaller sentiments. These are stamped & embossed with detail white EP onto black card and adhered using foam adhesive.

I have one last card to share with you today using these products, this time I went back to my usual CAS style…

IntroB&Bhappy3

This one again mainly uses the dies as I was having so much fun with them! I tried my hand at the inlaid die cutting technique and added in colourful stripes for a little more interest. I actually made 2 cards with this technique, but I will share the other one with you on release day!

I started by adhering 1 cm strips of left over coloured card to a thin white piece of card using double sided tape & glue adhesive. I then die cut the word happy. I’ve then created a base card and panel like my first card at the top of the post.

IntroB&Bhappy3a

Before adhering my white card panel to the card base using double sided tape I die cut the happy from this too, setting aside the die cut & the inner pieces aside. The striped die cut is adhered inside the die cut window and then I added the white inner die cuts to fill in the gaps. Added the birthday sentiment and a trio Nuvo Drops to finish.

That’s all I have to share today using these products, but I know Ruth our Guest Designer this month along with the Design Team have SO much more to share with you.

Hop on by to see what Ruth has created HERE.

Also, don’t forget the enter the HUGE giveaway over HERE to WIN Stamps For A Year! If you need help entering the giveaway as you don’t have a blog or social media to link, send me an email and I will assist you 🙂

“Less is More” Birthday Challenge Guest Designer

Hello & Happy Weekend!

I am here bright and early this morning to tell you that Uniko is super happy and proud to be sponsoring “Less is More” again. This month they are also celebrating their 8th Birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY “Less is More”!

cue card 8th birthday

This fortnight the theme is…

388 Colour Navy Yellow

As you may be aware, February is also Uniko’s Birthday month and we have an upcoming release (Feb 11th) too! I’ve had my hands on the release goodies for a few weeks now and I can’t stop playing with them 😉

I couldn’t resist using one of the NEW products on my card…

UnikoLIMguest

This is a HUGE peek at a NEW clear stamp set & coordinating Designer Die collection, that we will officially be introducing on 6th February & will be available to purchase on 11th February 9pm GMT.

UnikoLIMguest1

Those who know Uniko products well, will know that this is the next in the BIG & BOLD series, BIG & BOLD Happy! Honestly, you won’t believe the fun I have had with the dies alone 😉

However, on my card today for “Less is More” I have combined both the stamps and just one of the dies in the collection. I used Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy and So Saffron for my colours to match the theme of Navy & Yellow. I thought some nice colour blocking was a good idea and also created a more masculine style card.

Here is one more view…

UnikoLIMguest2

Okay, that is all from me over here today, BUT be sure to check out a HUGE announcement over HERE at 9am AND be sure to head on over to the “Less is More” blog HERE and join in on the fun.

Lots of Happy!

Hey!

LOTS of happy arrived at Uniko HQ this week, which included a few clear stamp restocks Simply Said Blocks, Simply Said Blocks II, Sweet Baby, Reach For The Stars & Happy Succulents. When restocks arrive they always inspire me to ink them up again, so I set aside some time to create!

Today I thought I would share the card I made using Happy Succulents

LotsOfHappy

I’ve used the large succulent corner spray image for my main focal point and added one of the sentiment options contained in the set. Apart from the colouring, which didn’t take too long with my Prismacolor Pencils, this card came together pretty quick.

LotsOfHappy1

I used my MISTI tool to stamp the main image, as it is quite large it often takes a couple of stamps to get a crisp image.

LotsOfHappy2

I used one pink and three greens to colour the image and added some of my favourite Gloss White Nuvo Drops as an embellishment accent.

This clear stamp set is available on the website along with the others I listed at the top of the post. I hope this has added some cheer to your Sunday afternoon 🙂

Thanks for stopping by.

Now for some creative inspiration…

BeeHappy

With not owning any bee stamps 🙁 I knew I had to BEE creative with my card! The recently released Background Block Horizontal Stripe was perfect for the idea I had envisioned and the result is what you see above.

BeeHappy1

{Click Photo For a Closer Look}

I selectively inked alternate stripes first in black ink and then in yellow ink, using my MISTI tool to keep the stamp and card stock all lined up. The bee is a free hand drawing I did myself, which I fussy cut out and adhered to the card using foam adhesive. I also gave the bee a lovely coating of clear Wink Of Stella.

BeeHappy2

{Click Photo For a Closer Look}

The sentiment is from the recently released Happy Succulents clear stamp set and fussy cut out and adhered with foam adhesive too. I then drew in some little lines to give the bee some movement and as I couldn’t find a white gel pen to draw the lines in over the black stripes I improvised and added some mini sparkly rhinestones!

IntroHappySucculents2

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

This time I stamped the succulent bouquet in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and then heat embossed it in Stardust EP. I then used my Copic markers to colour the outline succulent and foliage.

IntroHappySucculents2b

{Click Photo for a Closer Look}

I then die cut a rectangular frame from black CS and adhered it to the card base before stamping the ‘happy’ three times using my MISTI tool for perfect placement. The ‘Sending You Lots Of’ sentiment is also from the set. I adhered the fussy cut bouquet with foam adhesive and then finished the card off with more enamel dots. Can you tell they are a favourite of mine at the moment?!

Stamp Of The Week – English Country Garden Butterflies

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… English Country Garden – Butterflies

ECGbutterfliesPP

With February comes the start of my excitement and countdown to the Uniko February Release AND Uniko’s 4th Birthday! On Monday I kicked things off over HERE with a post that tells you how Uniko came to be, there is also a fun GIVEAWAY too 😉

If you missed it yesterday I have another fabulous & exciting opportunity for one of you. How would YOU like to be a Uniko Guest Stamp Designer? For all the details and to enter check out the post HERE.

Anyway, back to my SOTW card…

2016SOTW21

Today I decided to take 30+ minutes out to sit and colour the butterfly using a select few of my Copic Marker collection. I used to have nearly all of the Copic colours but as I don’t use them as much as I should I narrowed my colours down to just a select few. I thought it would be nice to join in on Kathy Racoon’s 30 Day Color Challenge, #thedailymarker30day over at Kathy’s blog The Daily Marker.

IMG_0795-1

Along with the colouring challenge I decided to add in a couple more! First up the layout of my card is based on the new Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below and the new Color Throwdown challenge colours seen HERE and below.

FMS Final 222-001

The leaf and floral detail behind the butterfly is from Background Builders: Vines and the sentiment is another peek of one from a set being released next week! I’m still in love with my Wink Of Stella pen and though I was happy with my colouring, I decided to add a good dose of sparkle too 😉

2016SOTW21a

Ok, that’s all from me today, I am still super busy in the Uniko Studio surrounded by a sea of photopolymer! Lots still to do for the February Release and Birthday celebrations. Be sure to keep an eye out on the blogs and social media for all the fun and GIVEAWAYS!

Don’t forget that this set is 20% off this week HERE in store, for this week only. That’s all from me today, I will be back  tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today 🙂

Introducing…Garlands Galore

Hey!

Yay! Now the real fun begins as today the DT and I get to introduce the first product being released on July 11th 🙂

Here is the sneak peek I shared earlier in case you missed it…

So the title of this set kinda gives it away really as it describes it down to a T! It is packed full of mix and match opportunities along with pairing nicely with lots of other Uniko products.

I’ve created a project using the set…

While I had this card layout sketched for sometime before it was created, I don’t always decide on colours when I sketch my ideas. So when I saw that the current “Less is More” challenge was patriotic colours I decided to go with those & I am really pleased I did. You can join in on the “Less is More” challenge fun HERE.

I used mainly stamps from the upcoming Garlands Galore, but paired them with a favourite sentiment on mine from A Gift For You.

Now I know the DT have some FABulous projects to share with you so be sure to hop along to their blogs and leave some love…
