Stamp Of The Week – Celebrate With Cake

Anyone for MORE cake?!

Time for a NEW Stamp Of The Week (SOTW) and this week I am dusting off… Celebrate With CakeCelebrateWithCakepp

Todays card came together pretty quickly this afternoon whilst the beans were eventually napping. I had a cake top already prepared from last night so all there was to do was decide on a layout and elements to mix with the cupcake.

Week 205 - Chevron

When I saw the new challenge over at CASology HERE, which this week is to use chevrons I thought, why not, chevrons could be pretty cool with a cupcake!

And this is what I came up with…

2016SOTW66

I started by stamping the cupcake case in Hero Arts Pink to Red Ombré ink and then masked it to stamp the chevrons from Background Builders: Chevrons (Retired) in SU! Going Grey ink.

2016SOTW66a

The chevrons are then lightly watercolored, as I didn’t use watercolour CS. I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to do this and added a light coating of Wink Of Stella over the top too. I then adhered the glittered cupcake frosting from yesterday, stamped the sentiment and embellished with a few SU! It’s My Party Enamel Dots.

Because I wasn’t totally sure where this card was going, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out and I think the chevrons work well with the design.

As you can’t have a party without CAKE, I am entering my card into the challenge over at Gobal Design Project. Their challenge HERE is a theme…

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

Clear Stamps

I seem to have had one of those weeks where time has simply slipped away from my grasp! Plus I realised that I used Flower Power #2 as a SOTW a few weeks ago, I do apologise for repeating myself. However, it’s more inspiration for you using this set!

Anyway, on with my card…

2016SOTW63

I thought I would do a little reminder that there is still time to join in on the current Uniko challenge HERE and seen below, which is a photo inspiration challenge.

ChallengeGraphic6

Again I was inspired by the colours and I thought with the outline Flower Power #2 bloom being quite open and loopy fitted well with the inspiration.

2016SOTW63a

I die cut a piece of white CS using one of my Project Life dies, stamped the flowers and sentiment, added some candy dots and faux stitching round the outside. The base of my card is lined with a piece of patterned CS from a SU! kit which I added glitter to myself as I thought it required a little more oomph!

I have one more card to share tomorrow, so I hope to see you then!  Don’t forget that this set is discounted HERE on the website this week. Plus I have a little discount code for a limited time only. Use the code summer15 during the checkout process, code expires midnight 4th July 2016.

ECGbutterfliesPP

With February comes the start of my excitement and countdown to the Uniko February Release AND Uniko’s 4th Birthday! Yesterday I kicked things off over HERE with a post that tells you how Uniko came to be, there is also a fun GIVEAWAY too 😉

Today I have another fabulous & exciting opportunity for one of you. How would YOU like to be a Uniko Guest Stamp Designer? For all the details and to enter check out the post HERE.

Anyway, back to my SOTW card…

2016SOTW20

For my card today I was inspired by a previous card I made using Beautiful Blooms II and Natures Treasures II, seen HERE and below. Having used the swirly leaves on yesterdays card it sparked the idea to CASE myself!

IntroNTII

I kept the colours and the layout basically the same but switched the bloom for the butterfly and rearranged some of the swirls. The sentiment is an early sneak peek from the upcoming February Release 😉

2016SOTW20a

With stamping the butterfly and not colouring it in I decided to add a sprinkling of glitter, perfect for the new challenge this week over at CASology HERE, who’s cue word is glitter.

Week 183 - Glitter

Ok, that’s all from me today, I am still super busy in the Uniko Studio surrounded by a sea of photopolymer! Lots still to do for the February Release and Birthday celebrations. Be sure to keep an eye out on the blogs and social media for all the fun and GIVEAWAYS!

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

FlowerPower2PP

Hello! Today I am keeping things über CAS as I am coming down with yet another cold :( These playgroups have a lot to answer for with that me thinks, because as soon as I am back in routine and taking the beans to playgroup I am forever fighting a sore throat and sniffles.

Anyway, enough of me feeling sorry for myself, you’re here for some crafty inspiration…

2016SOTW15

One thing I love about any of the Flower Power clear stamp sets is their ease to create a quick simple card which is suitable for any occasion. I’m still inking up my new Hero Arts Acts Of Kindness stamp set and the little ‘Sending Hugs’ sentiment was perfect for my card.

2016SOTW15a

I simply stamped the outline bloom, fussy cut added some Wink Of Stella, a sparkly enamel dot to the centre, foam mounting it over the stem, which is directly stamped onto my base card. A little sentiment and done, ready to send someone who may or may not need a hug but who deserves one 😉

Don’t forget that this set is 20% off this week HERE in store, for this week only. That’s all from me today, an early night is in order for this mummy! I will be back  tomorrow with more to share. Until then, thank you for stopping by today :)

Stamp Of The Week – Always & Forever

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW). This week I am dusting off… Always & Forever

Always&ForeverPP

I chose to feature this set because the Uniko Design Team & I are also revisiting the set HERE for the January Design Team Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY. So along with all the inspiration there you will be getting a week of inspiration here too 😉 Be sure to pop on over an hop along for your chance to win the set & an eGift Certificate for £10.

Hopefully you will see that this set is not only perfect for Valentine’s Day and love themed cards but for other occasions too. Along with how it coordinates with the popular Beautiful Blooms I, other Uniko products & more!

Anyway, how about a card and some inspiration…

2016SOTW9

The current challenge over at “Less is More” HERE is a one layer challenge with a cue word of FLOURISH. Now Uniko does have the retired FONTiment Fancies Swirls & Flourishes set, but as it is retired I decided to look through the ‘ton’ of stamps from other companies I have stashed away!

Less-Is-More-Header

One of my all time favourite companies and the one that got me into the whole blogging thing is Hero Arts, they are a FABulous company with SO many wonderful products. I decided to ink up one of my favourite WM rubber stamps to pair with the Beautiful Bloom heart from the set.

My colour choices were inspired by the current {Cupcake Inspirations} challenge seen HERE and below, a lovely soft colour palette for a love themed card.

CIC342

I decided to go for an Anniversary card instead of a Valentine card and added a sentiment from Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum. Hopefully you can see the sparkle in the close up of the glitter I added to the heart & the Wink Of Stella I added to the flourish.

2016SOTW9a

That’s all I have to share with you today, lots of Uniko February Release & 4th Birthday preparations to complete and time is ticking by and closer….EEK!

Don’t forget that this set is 20% off this week HERE in store, for this week only. Plus we still have a CRAZY January Sale on for a limited time only, so be sure to grab a bargain while you can & retiring clear stamps or dies before they are gone for good.

Hello 2016!

HEY & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I do hope 2016 has begun well for you all and I wish you all a healthy, happy and creative New Year.

We saw in the New Year quietly at home and watched the fireworks in London on the TV, with a hot chocolate then went to bed! So rock ‘n’ roll these days – LOL!
I also had a little creative time before the New Year arrived and I made a card to share with you this evening…

A ‘Hello 2016′ shaker card. I used the current ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below & this time I added in the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch seen HERE and below.

To make my shaker window I used a die from SU! Square Pillow Box collection and the shaker mix is from Little Things From Lucy’s Cards. I used Uniko Classic Numbers to stamp the 2016 inside the shaker frame & the ‘hello’ die is from Mama Elephant die cut in gold CS and mounted over the top of two glittered stripes of double sided tape. You can never have too much glitter & bling to ring in a New Year :)

Today has been fairly quiet, this morning was spent with the beans just playing with their Christmas toys and me & my husband joining in 😉 Then this afternoon I hosted New Years Day dinner for my husbands Mam, Dad & brother which was lovely. The beans love spending time with their grandparents :)
Now the beans are in bed and the family have left I am enjoying some more creative time & preparing my cards to mail out tomorrow. One of my many New Year resolutions is to send more of the cards I make!

Ok, that’s all I have to share with you here today, I do have another card HERE on the other Uniko blog. I will be back on Monday with a NEW Stamp Of The Week, dusting it off & showing it some New Year love 😉

Until then, thank you for stopping by & here’s to another FABULOUS & EXCITING Year, with many Uniko creations & surprises 😉

LabelLoveChristmas

As I missed half of the week last week (due to November Release prep) & I will be using last weeks Stamp Of The Week, Label Love: Thank you BOTH clear stamp sets are available at a discount for this week in store HERE & HERE.

Anyway, on to today’s card…

SOTW16

Today I decided on another non traditional colour scheme Christmas card, it was firstly inspired by the new Freshly Made Sketches layout seen HERE and below.

FMS Final 211-001

With the beans nap time getting slightly shorter & needing to create a few cards that I will be sharing HERE tomorrow, I needed a jump start on my creativity and using a sketch really reduces thinking time, giving more creative time!!

I decided to ink up the music label contained in the set, paring it with the Let it Snow sentiment and a snowflake from Stunning Snowflakes embossed in silver & stardust embossing powder.

SOTW16a

I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins, some Papertrey Ink satin ribbon (slowly using my stash!), some mini rhinestones and also edged the label in glitter which is quite hard to see in the photo, but really adds to the sparkle :)

Ok, that’s all from me today, I’m super busy in the home studio this week preparing for the upcoming November Release on the 11th November :) Plus I’m Guest Designing for one of my favourite challenges & Uniko is still sponsoring the ongoing TIME OUT Challenge HERE. All this fun starts tomorrow HERE I hope to see you!

Until, tomorrow with my next Stamp Of The Week post, thank you for stopping by today.

Anyway, on to today’s trio of cards…

SOTW15

Today I wanted to focus on the sentiments & the smaller images in the set to create CAS cards easy to mass produce in a hurry if needed!

Here is a close up of the trios details…

SOTW15a

SOTW15b

SOTW15c

As you can see I kept the stamped colours to a minimum, basically black with a tiny bit of red for the holly leaves & silver for the snowflake. Embellishments were also kept to a minimum using just rhinestones & glitter. I felt that the diagonal striped card provided a contrast to the minimalistic design but only seeing a small border around the stamped panel kept the overall design CAS.

Ok, that’s all from me today, I’m super busy in the home studio this week preparing for the upcoming November Release on the 11th November :) Plus I’m Guest Designing for one of my favourite challenges & Uniko is still sponsoring the ongoing TIME OUT Challenge HERE. All this fun starts on Thursday HERE, I hope to see you!

Until, tomorrow with my next Stamp Of The Week post, thank you for stopping by today.
