So this month we have the following challenge…

Spring is just around the corner for those in the Northern hemisphere and who doesn’t love pretty flowers and bunnies?!

This month we have TWO awesome Guest Designers joining us, Marianne and Milka, both where lucky winners of Uniko Challenge #38.

They’ve created wonderful inspiration for you…

First is this beautiful Spring Wreath by¬†Marianne, who has used the Uniko Digital Stamp Collection ¬†I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts last Autumn. Isn’t beautifully coloured, soft and Springy?! If you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Marianne’s card HERE and leave some love :)

Next, Milka has used the recent Uniko Digital Stamp Collection I designed for Simply Cards & Papercrafts to make this beautiful Spring card…

Another beautifully coloured card and if you missed the post and downloads you can see it HERE.

Be sure to stop on by for all the details on Milka’s card HERE and leave some love :)

I’ve not been feeling so well over the past few days, so I opted for a fairly quick CAS card ūüėČ The Originally Organic Additions clear stamp set has been really popular this week on the website and I was also inspired by Keren’s use of the set HERE too. So I grabbed my set and made this fairly quick CAS card…

USC#40

I opted for some bright and fresh colours for my card also giving me chance to use my newly acquired Lawn Fawn inks which I have limited colours of ūüėČ The wreath was stamped in Jalape√Īo and the tiny fussy cut buds in Sunflower, Plastic Flamingo and Merman. The ‘Easter Blessings’ sentiment is from Some Bunny clear stamp set and stamped in Manatee ink.

USC#40a

The layout of my card is inspired by this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! sketch seen HERE and below, hence my offset stamping of the heart wreath.

CTS_213

That’s all from me, but the Uniko Design team also have some Spring inspiration to share, be sure to follow the links to their blogs to find out more and I am sure they’d love a nice comment too ūüėČ

Hey!

We are back today to remind you about the August Uniko challenge. We have another fun challenge this month to spark your creativity…

Inspired By A Song Title! This sounds like a hard challenge, but when you google a word to see if it appears in a song title, you WILL be surprised as to how many there are!!

You can use any products/stamps to enter the challenge, but we do LOVE to see you use your Uniko products.

Email entries welcome, just email a photo of your card to bev@uniko.co.uk and I will add it to the Uniko Flickr gallery and link up!

This month we have another super Guest Designer joining us this month, Glenda from My Paper Cat

Glenda¬†was the lucky winner from Challenge #33 and has created another beauty to inspire you…

Isn’t it fabulous, all those delicate stitches.

CLICK HERE to see more from Glenda and leave some love :)

This time I went for something more feminine and floral…

USC#35c

I was inspired firstly by the song ‘Bed Of Roses’ by Bon Jovi and secondly when I saw the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below, it was perfect for my scattered bed of roses!

CTS_187

I used the rose stamp and leaves from Flower Power #6 and a sentiment from Simply Said. I wanted the roses to have more of a scattered appearance rather than line them up in rows, saved all the measuring and spacing too ūüėČ

USC#35d

Ok, that’s all from me today, but be sure to head on over HERE to see what the rest of the Design Team came up with. All the info on PRIZES and the link up can be found over there too!

Hope to see you in the gallery!

JulyClass4

I was inspired to try colouring on coloured card after my recent card I shared HERE. This time I used SU! Basic Grey card, stamping, embossing and masking the Pure Florals: Cosmos to create a small cluster of flowers.

I then used my Prismacolor Pencils to colour the flowers in. I used just two colours for the petals and just one yellow for the centres.

The Uniko Design Team have done an awesome job and have created a wealth of inspiration HERE. Be sure to pop on over to the Uniko blogspot blog to find the links and also the linky to link up your creations!

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).¬†This week I am dusting off…¬†Flower Power #2

Clear Stamps

Yesterday I realised that I used Flower Power #2 as a SOTW a few weeks ago, I do apologise for repeating myself. However, it’s more inspiration for you using this set!

Anyway, how about one last card this week using this set…

2016SOTW64

Today I have paired it with Natures Treasures I again, the leaves in this set are the perfect size to pair with the blooms. The layout of my card was inspired by the current Freshly Made Sketch seen HERE and below.

FMS Final 243-001

My card came together pretty quickly as I had some left over stamped blooms from my other cards this week! I opted for a Soft Stone card base as I wanted a softer cleaners to my card as I knew I wanted to use a With Sympathy sentiment. It is for one of my neighbours as they have recently lost one of their cats.

I feel for them as I am a cat lover too and Ted used to spend a lot of time in our garden with Mr Cat and was good company for him.

Anyway, that’s all from me today, I will be back tomorrow with a new SOTW and featuring a set that I haven’t done so this time!Don’t forget that this set is discounted¬†HERE¬†on the website this week. Plus I have a little discount code for a limited time only. Use the code¬†summer15¬†during the checkout process, code expires midnight 4th July 2016.

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).¬†This week I am dusting off…¬†Flower Power #2

Clear Stamps

I seem to have had one of those weeks where time has simply slipped away from my grasp! Plus I realised that I used Flower Power #2 as a SOTW a few weeks ago, I do apologise for repeating myself. However, it’s more inspiration for you using this set!

Anyway, on with my card…

2016SOTW63

I thought I would do a little reminder that there is still time to join in on the current Uniko challenge HERE and seen below, which is a photo inspiration challenge.

ChallengeGraphic6

Again I was inspired by the colours and I thought with the outline Flower Power #2 bloom being quite open and loopy fitted well with the inspiration.

2016SOTW63a

I die cut a piece of white CS using one of my Project Life dies, stamped the flowers and sentiment, added some candy dots and faux stitching round the outside. The base of my card is lined with a piece of patterned CS from a SU! kit which I added glitter to myself as I thought it required a little more oomph!

I have one more card to share tomorrow, so I hope to see you then! ¬†Don’t forget that this set is discounted¬†HERE¬†on the website this week. Plus I have a little discount code for a limited time only. Use the code summer15 during the checkout process, code expires midnight 4th July 2016.

This set is one of my all time favourite flowers, it is originally based on a cherry blossom. The set has recently come back in stock and so I decided I would dust it off and give it some more love.

This is how I decided to use it today…

2016SOTW62

As usual I was inspired by a challenge, the same as Tuesday! My colour combination is from the new ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

I recently purchased the SU! Sunshine Wishes dies as I just LOVE the heart die in the collection, which I have used on my card today. The layout of my card is a CASE of one I came across on Pinterest HERE.

2016SOTW62a

I was hoping to have shared this yesterday, but simply ran out of time, this week is going WAY to fast! I WILL be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted¬†HERE¬†on the website this week.

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).¬†This week I am dusting off… Flower Power #2

Clear Stamps

This set is one of my all time favourite flowers, it is originally based on a cherry blossom. The set has recently come back in stock and so I decided I would dust it off and give it some more love.

This is how I decided to use it today…

2016SOTW61

As usual I was inspired by a couple of challenges! First up my colour combination is from the new ColourQ challenge colours seen HERE and below.

348

I recently purchased some Clarity Stencil Brushes, as I have heard and seen so many great reviews on them. I’ve been wanting to get into and better at ink blending and use the stencils I own that have been sitting on my shelf for an age!

In the past I have used the sponges and applicator tools, but seem to get hard line/ink areas where I haven’t worked the blending in properly from the edges. I am impatient and gave up!

This card is only my second attempt at using the brushes and I am already happier with my results. My first attempt card using them can be seen HERE.

2016SOTW61a

I used a mixture of SU! inks for the yellow/orange flowers and a mix of Distress Ink and SU! ink for the turquoise flower. After blending the inks on some scrap pieces of card I heat embossed the outline flower using detail white and fussy cut them out. The leaves are a blend of SU! green inks and then I used Certainly Celery to stamp the stem and leaves, fussy cutting just so the leaves remained.

As the current “Less is More” challenge HERE is to use a stencil, I finally put my SU! one to use! I masked off the stencil leaving just 3 lines. I then used SU! Night Of Navy to apply the colour, making sure I applied the ink from the left side to make it darker and fade the ink across to the right. I still need plenty of practice, but overall I am happier with the results using the brushes.

Ok, that’s all from me tonight, I have had a busy day with the beans visiting a new play area and as much as it wore them out, it has done the same to me!¬†I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted¬†HERE¬†on the website this week.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Stamp Of The Week – Beautiful Blooms II

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).¬†This week I am dusting off…¬†Beautiful Blooms II

BeautifulBloomsIIPP

For todays card I wanted to create a patterned background and so I decided to do this using the leaves. I have another card later in the week where I have used all of the stamps from the set to create a background which is just as fun!

2016SOTW32

I simply cut a piece of white CS to the size I wanted and stamped both sizes of the leaves randomly, trying to rotate them as I stamped . I then stamped the outline bloom on a smaller CS layer and masked the bloom to stamp coordinating leaves from Flower Power #6.

2016SOTW32a

I then stamped a sentiment from the new Simply Said clear stamp set and added some pale blue embroidery thread around the top, tying it in a bow. Once I had adhered all the pieces on my card, I decided to stamp the bloom again, cutting out just the centre petals and adding some glitter.

The colour scheme of my card is inspired by the current {Cupcake Inspirations} challenge seen HERE and below. This time it is a lovely Spring colour challenge. I used SU! Bashful Blue and Lucky Limeade for my colours.

CIC348

That’s all from me today, I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Don’t forget that this set is discounted in store¬†HERE¬†this week too.

Until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by today.

Uniko Challenge #29

Hey!

Today over HERE, we have a new Uniko Challenge starting. This month we have a fun colour challenge to inspire your creativity…

ChallengeGraphic2

As February is Uniko’s birthday month, I chose our logo colours as the combination :) I hope you like them and they inspire you to join in.

Anyway, with the colours being linked to our logo, I continued the theme for my card and used the Uniko logo flower. This is the small one found in I LOVE Coffee, but there is a slightly larger version in Flower Power #3.

USC#29

I was inspired by the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below for my card design and I am pretty chuffed with how it turned out ūüėČ

CTS_160

I’m a little disappointed that my pink isn’t quite the pink I was after and should have used a ‘pinker’ shade. It’s annoying as VersaMagic don’t seem to have a medium pink that I like and the Memento Luxe pink I have is more of a bright raspberry pink. I do have quite a few SU! inks but I am fussy about combining different ink mediums on a card, unless for a sentiment. And I don’t have the other two colours in SU! inks :( I guess I am a little too fussy and OCD about certain things!

USC#29a

The sentiment is from Simply Said Birthday and I add a trio of SU! enamel dots to embellish it, love the glossiness of these :)

Ok, that’s all from me just now, but be sure to pop on over HERE to see the inspiration from our Guest Designer AJ and the Uniko DT. I hope to see you in the gallery ūüėČ

Stamp Of The Week – Flower Power #2

Hey!

Welcome back to the NEW feature here at Uniko, Stamp Of The Week (SOTW).¬†This week I am dusting off…¬†Flower Power #2

FlowerPower2PP

2016SOTW18

Todays card was made straight after yesterdays SOTW card and so again, the colours of my card were inspired by the current¬†Color Throwdown¬†challenge colours seen¬†HERE¬†and below. I couldn’t resist playing along again as I do love a mix of Aqua and Pink ūüėČ

swatch376

This time I decided to focus upon the half blooms contained in the set and I also used one of the sentiments. The current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below was perfect too.

CTS_156

I started by stamping the stems and staggering them so that the flowers wouldn’t all be in a straight line. The blooms were stamped and fussy cut with the outline ones adhered with foam adhesive. I almost got all of the striped on the leaves lined up as they go along the card, but I have only just noticed that now ūüėČ

2016SOTW18a

Ok, that’s all from me today, we have family coming this afternoon so I had better do a little hovering! I’ll be back tomorrow with more to share, but until then, thank you for stopping by today. Oh, and a little thank you to everyone who has ordered this weeks SOTW, it is now currently out of stock!
