Block Party Birthday Fusion!

Hey & Happy Sunday!

Yesterday evening the beans went for their second sleepover at their Grandparents, so in true fashion I indulged in some much needed creative time in the studio! It feels like ages since I was able to just sit & play, choosing a challenge to join in on and selecting whatever stamps and supplies I fancied using.

I saw the new Fusion Card Challenge HERE and seen below and I was inspired to pull out the recently release Blocky Party Birthday clear stamp.

I’ve also recently had a Stampin’ Up! order delivered, which contained much needed card stock in Smokey Slate, Basic Grey and Black all of which feature in the inspiration photo. So this is how I combined everything onto my card…

It is a *really* simple card and didn’t take long at all to make. I started out by stamping the block party stamp in VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto Smokey Slate CS using my MISTI tool, so I could repeat stamp to get a good image.

I then used 4 Prismacolour Pencils to selectively colour the image and I tried to replicate the watery ombre effect on the ‘birthday’ part of the stamp. I am pretty pleased how the card turned out and I think it represents both parts of the Fusion Card Challenge nicely.

That’s all from me today, but if you want some more creative inspiration , be sure to head on over HERE when Lindsey has some wonderful one layer CAS masculine inspiration to share with you.

Thanks for stopping by.
