And this is what I have created for the occasion…

I’ve combined Uniko’s Bee Happy clear stamp set with some die cut hexagons using the Sizzix Framelits Hexagon Hive die. I also used the die to ink blend the coloured hexagons on the hexagon heart.

In celebration of the hop I’ve made a couple of cards using Uniko’s recently released Bee Happy clear stamp set…

BEE1

I was inspired to create a semi random patten using the honeycomb trio. I stamped it using Altenew Warm Sunshine ink and then infilled some of the honeycombs using the tiny hexagon stamped in Altenew Buttercream ink. I added the ‘Happy Bee Day’ sentiment and a stamped & fussy cut bee flying away.

BEE2

This card layout was inspired by the current CAS(E) this Sketch! layout seen HERE and below. Just too fun not to join in 😉

CTS_272

My next card is a reminder to ‘Bee Yourself’. I have had so much fun creating stories using this sentiment and the bee image…

BEE3

I used my MISTI tool to space and stamp the bees in trio of lines using VersaFine Black ink. I purposefully left a gap for my colourful bee flying away from them, to represent YOU to BEE yourself.

BEE3a

I hope you have enjoyed my cards today and that I have inspired you too! Your next stop on the hop is the wonderful Birka Reinitz.

Thanks for stopping by today & joining in on the fun.

Hugs

Introducing… Bee Happy Clear Stamp Set & Honeycomb Pattern Stencil

Hey!

Welcome to back to the second day of the May 2018 Release product introductions. Did you enjoy yesterdays introductions? I sure did, the Design Team and our Guest Designer Anna did an amazing job of showcasing them. If you missed the fun be sure to catch up HERE.

Today we are introducing 2 more products. Bee Happy Clear Stamp Set and Honeycomb Pattern Stencil. Hopefully you have hopped on over from the start of the Blog Hop HERE, I’ve shared a card there too and you will find all the Design Team links too 😉

I’ve a couple more cards to share with you using the Bee Happy clear stamp set.

First up I have this clean and simple love themed card. The Bee Happy clear stamp set contains this hexagon heart stamp and a couple of smaller hexagons which fit nicely inside the hexagons in the heart. I started by stamping the heart in VersaFine Onyx Black and then stamping the solid small hexagon in Altenew Ruby Red ink. I then fussy cut the heart out.

IntroBeeHappy2

The bee is stamped, fussy cut out, coloured with Copic marker and clear Wink Of Stella added to the wings. Usually I would simply die cut the stitched die shape, stamped the sentiment and mounted the heart and bee. However, I thought I would try by hand at embossing with the die instead and I have to say I rather like the technique!

IntroBeeHappy2a

I wanted there to be a little subtle dimension having embossed the stitched square, so that is my reasoning for fussy cutting the heart and bee. The bee is adhered with 1 mm thick foam adhesive.

Lastly I have one more super CAS card to share…

IntroBeeHappy3

I wanted to create a fun pattern using the trio of hexagon stamps, so I set the stamp in my MISTI tool and stamped away 😉 I used the acetate sheet the stamps come on for placement of my next stamped image. It was a little fiddly and time consuming, but I am pleased with the results.

IntroBeeHappy3a

I then repeated what I did with the card above and the small solid hexagon. This time I only stamped inside a few of the hexagons, randomly. It was almost a one layer card, but with it being so clean and simple I decided it needed a subtle white on white border and layered onto a white card base.

That’s all I have to share with you today using this clear stamp set, but be sure to hop along with the Design Team for even more inspiration…

Hugs

Now for some creative inspiration…

With not owning any bee stamps 🙁 I knew I had to BEE creative with my card! The recently released Background Block Horizontal Stripe was perfect for the idea I had envisioned and the result is what you see above.

BeeHappy1

{Click Photo For a Closer Look}

I selectively inked alternate stripes first in black ink and then in yellow ink, using my MISTI tool to keep the stamp and card stock all lined up. The bee is a free hand drawing I did myself, which I fussy cut out and adhered to the card using foam adhesive. I also gave the bee a lovely coating of clear Wink Of Stella.

BeeHappy2

The sentiment is from the recently released Happy Succulents clear stamp set and fussy cut out and adhered with foam adhesive too. I then drew in some little lines to give the bee some movement and as I couldn’t find a white gel pen to draw the lines in over the black stripes I improvised and added some mini sparkly rhinestones!
