NBUS #8 Theme Colour On Kraft

NBUS #8 Theme Colour On Kraft

Hey!

I’ve a little card to share today, which happens to be perfect for Darnell’s NBUS #8 Challenge HERE. The lovely Darnell is celebrating 46 years of marriage AND 5 years of blogging, congratulations Darnell!

So to celebrate these momentous occasions Darnell has a trio of NBUS Challenges, each with a different optional theme. This week is Colouring on Kraft…

Though technically I haven’t coloured on Kraft card stock, I have used Papertrey Ink Soft Stone instead. I have used my Prismacolor pencils to colour in the image stamped on the rectangle die cut using my NBUS Rectangle dies from Crafters Companion.

The layout of my card was inspired by the current TIME OUT Challenges challenge HERE, which is to CASE with your own twist the lovely Ksenija from Sweet Kobylkin. Below is Ksenija’s card to CASE…

TO SweetKobylkin

Hopefully you will see that I reversed the card stock colours that Ksenija used on her card and instead of stamping an all over pattern on the base card I decided to use my MISTI and do this spotlight stamping technique.

I added a sentiment from Simply Said and a few tiny rhinestones to finish the card off. And, I actually got round to sending this card out too, something I am ‘trying’ much harder to do this year and mail out more of the cards I make 😉

That’s all I have to share with you today, I am hoping to find a little creative time tonight and maybe squeeze in another card for the challenge. I have plenty of NBUS to use 😉

Thanks for stopping by & BIG thanks to Darnell for hosting such an awesome challenge.

Hugs

The first thing I noticed is what a cool image this was to use for the spotlight stamping technique, Bev! I love how it moves from off the card and flows a bit across the card! It’s a beautiful CASE which you have made your own! Thank you so much for your congratulations and for playing in my NBUS Challenge #8! And I appreciate that you joined in the optional theme using your cp on soft stone! Hugs (and kisses for the beans!), Darnell

Bev, this is a stunning CASEing! Love that you use soft stone panel instead of white and stamped outside of it also. This is so creative! Thank you so much for CASEing my card again.

This is absolutely stunning and a wonderful CASE! I love the way you flipped the colors around from Ksenija’s design using the darker card for the base for your flowers. Thanks for joining us at TIME OUT! 🙂
